Week 8 – week of party planning; ended with Leah and Riley's bday

Hello world!

I continue my world domination from the seat of my swing. Just you wait. I'm going to be a force to be reckoned with. Right now only my immediate family gets to experience my reign, but in two weeks I get to extend my influence over GGM in San Diego as well. I can't wait.
I also get to show off my cuteness at Kaitlyn's 3rd birthday party next Saturday. Yippee!
A day in my world:
Afternoon - I assert my dominance each afternoon in the 4-8pm range. Often I do this by being inconsolable, but really I'm just asserting my power.
I keep this up, often for hours. I want to make sure Daddy appreciate mommy and vice-a-versa. Therefore when Daddy gets home, Daddy understands just how hard this "stay at home mom" work is, and Mommie appreciates the help immensely. The longer I keep this up, the more cuddles I get. Some nights I go off and on all the way into Daddy's baby shift 10-12am.
All this means that Kaitlyn runs around from say 5-7 with her hands over her ears from my crying (literally). She is getting pretty used to my crying these days!
Night – I usually knock out sometime between 8 and 11pm. I can usually go for one stretch of 5 or 6 hours these days, but thereafter it is open season. I like to get up every two hours on the dot to feed thereafter. You should see mom's face each of those times! No you don't! She is not a pretty sight! The other night she asked me where she was!
Morning is not my favorite. After I make Mom do the feeding Olympics I often pass out off and on until noon. Not on a regular or predictable basis so sometimes Mom can nap, but mostly not. Many mornings Kaitlyn and I play and talk back and forth while Kaitlyn eats her breakfast cereal. Me practicing my soccer kicks, and Kaitlyn eating her Kashi cereal. Good times!
Afternoon is when we do errands, or stay home. I complain a lot when I get in my car seat or even the baby bjorn carrier. It is all a part of my grand plan to keep mom at home.
Late afternoon, though, Mom gives me no choice when she buckles me in to go pick up Kaitlyn. We come home to play, make dinner and repeat the adventure again! Yesterday it was 82 in the city, and today 73 so the weather has been GORGEOUS. I loved the heat yesterday. I slept VERY well. Maybe that is why mommie is perky today!
Hugs– catch you later!

Week 8 cont.

Week 7

GGM came to see us after we returned from Tahoe. I absolutely love it when Gmpa hangs out with me. He is warm and cuddly and I tend to fall happily to sleep. We spent a fun week hanging out with Grandpa while Grandma was at her conference. Monday Grandpa taught me how to grill shrimp tacos on the Barbie. Tuesday I went to the Cliff house for a yummie crab salad sandwich with grandpa and mommie. Wednesday I got Grandpa all to m self while mommie did errands.

Saturday and Sun after GGM left, I got mommie all to myself while Daddie and kaitlyn go see GGS.

Week 6 – TAHOE & GGM in town on 18th

Tahoe toddler mania!

I'm starting to like my swing!

Bathing Kaden

This week we had a monotonous, then exciting week. Most of the week was quiet with trips to the park, and grocery store. I was working on my head control, my lung capacity, and my vocalizations in terms of cries, screams, and I'm starting to make happy coo's!

We caught a case of cabin fever (this happens a lot in the never-ending eat play sleep cycle) so we went over to Charlie's house to watch kaitlyn and Charlie nuts on his trampoline. I can't wait to try it! Mommie already says I'm going to be a star soccer player after all my kicking.

The weekend heated up on the fun scale. We filled the Tahoe house with five 2 year olds!! If you are in need of a rockin' ski house in Tahoe Donner check out our link highsierraretreat.com !!! Filling the house with four families, five two year olds and me left me in the company of many of mommies friends who were in need of baby time! I was very popular, and had lots of love and hugs, yipee!!! I enjoyed the beach at Donner lake, Pizza at Pizza on the Hill, and sunning at the Tahoe Donner Pool while Kaitlyn and her friends splashed and splashed!

Week 5

Kaitlyn started school this week – I’m so jealous! All those practice runs led up to Kaitlyn’s first day which was harder than we thought. Each day got easier, and now Kaitlyn loves her Montessori school.
Morale at the house was kind low this week so I decided that I’d dish out my first awake smiles! I knew morale was low when mommie took Shelly for a birthday massage, then the next night I got to meet Karen our wonder-babysitter while mommie and daddie went out to sushi! Mommie kept saying those were too firsts in a loooooooong time. Something about getting her mommie-sanity back.
I met Hannah from Kaitlyn’s school when she came over to play. We
went to Ollie’s birthday party at Barnie's. And on Sunday we went to Charlie’s birthday party. I loved Charlie’s train theme!

Week 4

Daddie had to go back to work this week, which I was really bummed about until I found out that GGM would come back to play! GGM can to town early so Daddy could go see GGS to help out. Grandma and Grandpa McP took Kaitlyn to the Montessori school three times this week to visit. Kaitlyn took GGM on adventures all over SF including visits to new playgrounds, and to the Academy of science to see the alligator and the butterflies.

Week 3

Hello world. Is anybody there? Wait is it night or day? WHO CARES! SOMEBODY COME FEED ME!

Yes indeed, I'm hardly aware of whether it's day or night, I'm basically still flipped topsy turvey. The one thing I know is – I'm ALWAYS HUNGRY! After failing those blood sugar tests in the hospital, then passing them by the skin of my teeth, I've been getting extra milk – YIPEE. That helps with my chronic hunger. The nurse said something about me being a ‘big baby' and needing more milk. I'm not sure what that means but my tummy thanks her!

My Daddie and Kaitlyn got a cold, so they are banished, but I'm trucking through it just fine thanks to mommies magical milk's protective qualities!!

After another fun week playing with Grandma and Grandpa McPherson, it is very quiet around here now that GGM have gone back home. I miss them (as mom can attest to) in fact I think I heard her say – "why did I let them leave?". I'm not sure what that means, but I miss Gpa M's warm hugs.

Kaitlyn is so excited to start school next week. She was telling me that she can't wait until I can talk. She already wants to distinguish my cries to help me out! She is a great big sister!

Week 2

Hello world, I'm home and getting nestled in and acquainted with everybody. I have attracted visits from lots of friends and family, most notable all of my grandparents! I also amassed quite a fan club at Sylvie's 3rd birthday party where I made my first major outdoor (brief) appearance.
