These are my two sweet children snuggling with their Easter presents. So cozy! Also an image of Katie and myself on Easter Sunday about to assist my father to his church for the first time since he was diagnosed with "Dementia with Lewey Bodies" (Similar to Alzheimers). Dad enjoyed it so much and was absolutely glowing. We colored and hunted eggs Saturday with My two sisters and my brother Jared and all of their kids. Rosie Clark and her parents joined us for the hunt in the afternoon.

New Year
Well it turns out I broke my toe, and it is making my resolution to get back into wy workout and eating habits more challenging. I am also resolving to make this semester my own. I am feeling the thrill and anxiety of teaching all on my own. The semester starts Monday and I am as prepared as I will ever be, but I still have that heightened awareness that is making sleep fitful. I will keep you posted as the year rolls on. I do love being the fieldwork coordinator, it is really great to meet with OT's across the state and talk with OT's across the nation and see what everyone is doing. I also love the interactions with the students.
Koski family skiers
Well, we chose the cloldest day of the year to ski. It was brilliant blue and beatiful, but we just froze. Jackson did so well for his first foray on the slopes this year. He skiied without falling and with just a healthy dose of fear. Katie loved it for about one run and then she had had enough. We are at Alta and skiied for about an hour on the tow ropes and one run apeice on the lift. It was really fun despite a few grumblings (mild understatement).

Christmas Picture
Hello again. This is the photo we sent our with our Christmas card this year. Katie is three and wearing the hat given to her on her birthday. Her cousins Mykel, Helen and Emma each have a similar hat. Katie loves her cousins and also her friends: Rosie, Anna, and Melia. Jackson is 7. He loves all things Star Wars and Lego. If the two are combined he is in heaven. He is in first grade, plays soccer and has started learning the piano.
Katie's new phrase includes asking you about something and giving the option "or no" after the question. For example: "Can I have a piece of carmel, or no?" "Is Santa going to bring me a Furberry, or no?" She usually tilts her head slightly to the right at some point in the query and makes or look so adorable that the answer is rarely "or no"
Jackson has a good memory and also watches a bit too much TV/movies. Consequently he is quite a riot when he does entire scenes from movies or TV shows. I would love to be able to reproduce a scene for you, but better for you to visit us and see a live show.
PS This blogging thing really is addictive.

New Year's Blog Style
So, it turns out I am susceptible to peer pressure. I am now going to try to keep a blog to record some events of my family and life. I see that this is a good way to keep this record and share with anyone who is interested. My first post is a picture of my little family on the beach in Laguna, CA. We had a great time at this family reunion. I also notice that we need to take more family pictures.
