too long...
I have not blogged in forever. Let's catch you up to speed...
WE'RE MARRIED!! Will and I got married on June 20th on the most amazing day, in the most beautiful ceremony, and most magnificent reception known to man. It was my dream wedding. Nothing could have been better or pinker. We were surrounded by our closest family and friends (300ish people). I cannot thank Vine and Branches out of Gainesville for their amazing God given talent and personal touches. They made my dream come to life!
When we came back from our honeymoon...we hit the ground running! Will was gone to Coach's School and various other confernces. As for me, I was trying to set up a home and gone to conferences as well. Right before football started, Will got moved to the high school. He was assigned VARSITY football tightends and JV/Varsity baseball. As for a teaching field....p.e. The man has it made. He is having a fabulous year and couldn't be happier. The long days are wearing on us, but not many more.
As for me...I was trying to set up my classroom as early as possible. I knew that the beginning of school would bring a long list of to-dos and I didn't want my classroom to be one. I decided on a sports theme this year, being a coach's wife and all. OH and I designated myself Spirit Coordinator for baseball...basically I set up the spirit tables and try to raise spirit for baseball...they get no love. Two weeks before school starts, I am informed that I will be teaching ESL this year, 1 of 3 ESL teachers for my grade level. Ok, Jalynn. You can do this. From that moment on, I knew that this year was going to be a WHOLE NEW BALLGAME!
Currently, we are making it. Both working long hours and seeing each other less and less. I am ready for football to be over, even though I have learned SO much. I have made new friends, lost some old friends due to new jobs, and have gained a husband. This year is going to be a learning experience for me. Good thing I like to learn!!

bachelorette fun!!
12 days and counting!!
oh my goodness! I am so excited I cannot stand it! I have been running around the house yelling 'We're getting married! We're getting married!" I think the first 10 times Will thought it was cute, now I am just getting on his nerves!
This past weekend was my bachelorette party in Fredricksburg! It was a weekend full of good friends, great family, fabulous shopping, and awesome gifts! woo hoo! 2 of my teacher friends from school got to ride with me to F-burg. I'm pretty sure we only stopped talking to belt out Taylor Swift and Eli Young Band, then it was back to talking! I am soo thankful to have these 2 fabulous ladies as my friends. I am so stoked for what this next year holds for us!
Amanda planned a bunch of FABULOUS activities for us to take part in! The first thing on the agenda was the scavenger hunt. We chose a restaurant where a local singer was playing in a patio type atmosphere...of course a group of girls walking in with one wearing a HUGE veil complete with tiara and a bouquet does NOT draw attention at all! I ended up chatting with her and going on stage with her to get her help on the scavenger hunt!
After a great lunch (mmmmm german fooood) we hit the shops! We shopped, got asked 42 times if I was getting married. (my smart butt comment was 'No..they are just making me wear this.' :o) and had a blast. I cannot remember the last time that I got to relax and spend a wonderful day with some of my closest friends. (I said some because other of my closest friends could not be there...:o( we missed yall!!!!)
After shopping, ice cream, and dr. pepper, we headed back to the cabin to get ready for dinner. We put on our fanciest dresses and hit Mamacita's! Praise the Lord above for fabulous mexican food and margaritas! After dinner, we went back to the cabin for the festivities to begin. A lingerie shower, How Well Do You Know Your Man quiz, and create a bride with toilet paper completed the evening. It was a great weekend to catch up with friends and family!
Thank you to all who went! You made it a fabulous weekend that I could never forget! See You on June 20th!!!!

39 days and counting!
Yes that is right...39 more days of Wilson before a lifetime of Burnes.
Invitations have been mailed as of Monday. Let the Alleluiah Chorus begin!! I am thrilled to have the daunting task behind me, and Sara, and Mom, and Will, and Mema, and Marilyn, and Aunt Joanie. Without their amazing help, it would not have been completed!
Bachelorette Party is READY to go!...I pretend like I have done a thing to plan for it. But I KNOW that the wonderful BOTB - (Bridesmaids of the Bride) have done a fabulous job on planning a spectacular weekend.
I received my passport today! WE GET TO GO TO THE BAHAMAS! We will need a well deserved vacation after the wedding stresses before the summer woahs. Watch out July....
Couples Shower is next weekend. Let's go to VEGAS, baby! FYI...Vegas is located at my parent's house! Cannot wait. Kerri has worked so hard on this, along with the other BOTB and I cannot wait to enjoy their hard work!!! :o)
Woo for the Wedding!!

Busy, busy weekend.
They seem to be a normality around here.
Last weekend (April 25th and 26th) was a Wedding Weekend. Saturday morning started with the alarm sounding at 4:30 A.M. We had to be at the Botanical Gardens in Ft. Worth at 8:00 a.m. I did my make-up and Mom did my hair. We were there changing in the parking lot (thanks to the oh so kind Botanic People - No Brides allowed in the bathrooms) by 8:15 a.m. Started off a little rocky with something on my dress...the Amazing Mom fixed it!! but only got better from there. We took the majority of my pictures in the rose garden. It was beautiful. No one was there when we got there, but the traffic picked up the longer we stayed. I have seen some of the pictures and they are simply amazing. It was so much fun to be girly and wear my WEDDING dress all day. That thing got pretty heavy! At about noon, I broke the 'no bathroom brides' rule and changed in the bathroom. The wonderfully kind lady looked the other way as I came trapsing in, dress in tow.
After lunch, mom and I got to take a little shopping trip to NorthEast Mall. It was a fun little break in the day, and I got perfume!!! Then we went back out one more time for evening pictures. It is amazing how the light changes so many times in one day! Wendy got to go with us. She is such a big help!!
When we arrived home that night (approximately 10:00 p.m.) Will and I booked our honeymoon! BAHAMAS HERE WE COME!!!!!! We will be staying at the luxurious Breezes Bahamas Resort in the outstanding Nassau, Bahamas. This super all inclusive resort is located on the breath-taking cable beaches. The water is the most beautiful water you have ever seen. This resort includes a rock-climbing wall, water sports, dance lessons (if you can talk your husband into it), 3 fresh water pools, jaquizie, and much much more! The room we have is an ocean front room! I am so stinking excited I can't see straight!
After church on Sunday, Will and I met with our sponsor couple for our first meeting. It was so relaxed and informal. Will and I felt right at home. We discussed our faith, views on children, our roles in our marriage, and other touchy topics. It was great to have a nonjudgemental sounding board. We have 2 more meetings with them.
After the meeting, I rushed to my Mema's to get ready for my Bridal Shower. It was beautiful. A lot of my family and friends attended. I opened gifts as they arrived and it took forever! I just wanted to talk and eat cake, although I am extremely grateful for the gifts. My cake was white with a black ribbon around it. Also, there were chocolate covered strawberries that looked like tuxedos and wedding dresses, too cute!!
This week has been extremely difficult. I have not caught up on my sleep from the busy weekend. I have a feeling that every weekend from now until the wedding is going to be like this!!! Oh well, I guess it is all worth it!! :o)

where there is a will, there is a way.
I can tell the wedding is getting close! How, you ask? Not because June is only 2 months away. No, not because I am having 'those' dreams regarding my dress, the decorations, and the day of, stupid limes. No, not because I have constant worries and phone calls. I know that it is getting close because when I hear a great love song on the radio, I tear up. I read a sappy love card from one of our showers, I tear up. I look at our engagement pictures, I tear up. I type this blog, I tear up....for Pete's sake Jalynn, get yourself together!
It is finally becoming extremely real that we are getting married! I get to marry my best friend, the love of my life, the man that I have searched my whole life for. I get to marry him! I thank God everyday for this amazing man that he has placed in my life. When we first started 'talking' I prayed to God everynight that I just wanted our journey to be a good one. I thanked him for everyday he gave Will and I a chance to make it, an opportunity to make this work. Kyle Bennett Band says it better, 'Deep in my heart I know he's the only one' and always have.
I hope everyone gets a Will. Everyone deserves to find the amazing love that I have found. I love quotes that play with the word 'will'. I have one hanging in the hall that says, 'In your will is my peace' - C.S. Lewis. I also believe, where there is a will there is a way.
