Baby Seal Valentine

Hello there!
Hope your Saturday is going well!
It's cold and snowy here in Colorado today.
So, a good day for crafting!

I put together this card using

These cuties were colored with Prismacolor Pencils.
I fussy cut the image.
My card measures 5 x 6 1/2 inches and was
created with a piece of medium blue card stock.
I die cut some clouds out of the same blue as the card base and white for
the top of the card.
A darker blue card stock covers the rest of the card.
I smudged a little white ink over the blue.
Added foam tape to the back of my image and adhered.
Decided to die cut some double hearts and "Valentine" out of white card.
3 pear;s were added for just a little extra!

Not your regular red or pink Valentine card, but I like the way it came out!
Hope you do too!

Birthday Cake Card

Happy Thursday!
Today I have a card to share for

This is a slimline card created with the new

This stamp set includes 4 images and 3 sentiments.
The set also comes as a bundle with dies.

I stamped the cake image, colored with Prismacolor Pencils with
just a smidge of clear sparkle pen and fussy cut.
Two patterned papers were used for the card background.
I stamped the sentiment and the streamer image.
The cake was adhered with foam tape.
A die cut border with ribbon run through was added.
3 gems on the border finished my design.

Thanks for taking a peek at my card!

Valentine Shadow Box

Well, the New Year is off to a good start and it will soon be Valentine’s Day!
Do you celebrate and/or decorate for Valentine’s Day?
I don’t really go “all out” for it, but I do like to create Valentine projects.

Hey there!
Today I'm sharing a Valentine Shadow Box project for CutCardStock.

Creating a Base

A 12 x 12 inch piece of Cougar White Card Stock will serve as the base.

I also am using DCS Discount Card Stock: Pastel Pink Card StockDCS Discount Card Stock: Pearlized Textured Fruit Punch PinkDCS Discount Card Stock: Amaranth Pink and Basis Burgundy Card Stock.

Draw a heart shape in the center of the 12 x 12 inch piece of Cougar White Card Stock. You can freehand the heart or use a template. I am using a chipboard heart which I am tracing. The heart shape is a guideline for the overall design.

Heart Pieces

Cut various sizes of hearts out of the pink and burgundy card stocks. I cut mine with dies in four sizes. You can hand cut, use dies or cut files for them.

Score each heart down the center vertically.

Creating the Design

Start adding the hearts to the base inside the center of the heart tracing with your preferred adhesive. I am using a low temp glue gun and running the glue down the fold on the backside of the hearts.

Continue adding hearts by layering and varying the sizes and directions to best fit within the base heart shape. There is really no rhyme or reason to this. Just go with what you feel works.

Fill in the entire heart. Adding the smallest of the hearts randomly completes the design.

Finishing

All that’s left is to add the project to a shadow box.

Thanks for taking a look at my Valentine Shadow Box project. I am so happy with it and even though I call it a Valentine project, it is a great home decor project to display year round.

Mini Birthday Album

Hi there!

Today I'm sharing a mini birthday album project created for Clear Scraps.

I am using the Chip 3.5 x 8 Mixed Up Album.

The Birthday Party 12 x 12 Scrapbook Paper Pad from Crafter’s Companion is being used for the album pages and embellishments.

Start by choosing papers for each page and tracing the pages on the backside of each paper.

Cut out each.

Adhere corresponding papers to front and back of each page.

Once each page was covered with the scrapbook paper, I chose die cuts which were included in the paper pad.

I added die cuts to the front of each page and the backside of each page has areas for adding photos and/or journaling.

The album is held together with book rings which I added ribbons to.

Thanks for taking a look at my Birthday Mini Album Project!
