Term 4 Week 7 : Preparing for Examination

Hi everyone,exams are coming and it is bye bye games,and hello study.I am gonna study extra hard 3 hours a day to prepare for the examinations.I revise my Maths in the morning,Chinese in the afternoon,and Science in the evening-2 hours each!I have my secret weapon to use in case i get off course in revising........of course if i tell you it won't be secret anymore.I motivate myself by pinning a piece of paper showing the rewards i get if i pass or fail.I have a target setting pinned on the wall of my bedroom.I have planned on how to achieve my targets.On the day of the examinations,i will maybe bring a lucky charm with me.

Term 4 Week 6: Littering and Vandalism

Hi people,littering is when you eat a piece of sweet or something,as you finish eating the sweet,you throw the sweet wrapper on the flor without any intention of picking it up.Vandalism is you destroying things that are being shared with others,examples,drawing sketches on the toilet walls.I do not quite know the difference between them.......................................................
Parents not teaching the children may be the causeof littering and vandalism..........I feel a bit fustrated when i see toilets being vandalised.I have seen the school toilets being vandalised,it was an awful sight to behold...........
We can put surviliance cameras in the school toilets.We should suspend students who litter or vandalise.

Ok,F1 is a set of technical regulations for single seater racing cars which is published annually by the FIA. Oh how i love cars zooming by........................................................................................................
F1 first started in Paris,1894.F1 is held in different countries.I think Singapore should saatage the F1 because it has another chance to show what a small country is capable of.Singapore gets many tourists for hosting the F1 as those rich fellows want to come here to watch it.My favourite F1 driver,ummmmmmmmmmm i don't know,Micheal Shoemaker i guess,ummm i like him cause he is world champion,i think.1 thing i dislike about F1 is that it is a bit boring.....no offence people...............................................................................................................................................................
I did not watch the F1 race as it is waaaayyyyyy past my bedtime.

Term 4 Week 3 : Recycling

Recycling is essential as many of the things we throw away can be reused.I understand that by recycling,we help to longthen the Earth's lifespan.It is necessary to recycle things because if humans keep throwing things away,there will soon be not enough resources left on Earth for us humans to use.The various ways we can recycle are,reuse plastic bags,turn spoilt items into neat interesting things.I practise recyclig sometimes too.I am planning to take empty plastic bottles and make the tallest tower ever,ummmm it is still in the blueprint mode.I think the school is not doing enough recycling.The school should hold a recycling contest to see which class recycles the most.I would tell my friends this,

Stress is something everyone has to experience once in a while.An example of stress is that you have too many things to do and you don't know which to do first.Causes of stress is when people keep pushing you to do harder.I have felt ALOT of stress over the past few days as i am rushing to cope with the homework i am given by my parents and my tution teachers.I felt stress because there is SOOOOOOOOOO much homework to be done.I cope with stress by doing my homework at different times.The teachers in school can help in relieving the student's stress by giving less homework.I shall tell my friends that stress is natural.

Reading

I think that reading is important as it broadens our knowledge.I usually read Geronimo Stilton stories because these books are filled with stories and interesting facts.I read about 15 books a month and about 5 magazines a month.I do not read books like powerpuff girls and stuff.I think computer games are affecting people in their reading because when someone gets addicted to a computer game,he or she will forget about reading books.The school can encourage other people to read by organizing a reading competition.If i would recommend one book people should read it is #32 Geronimo and the Gold Medal Mystery because this story emphasises on why we should not ever give up.

Hi everyone,today i am going to talk about the best of stuff,the ruler of all kids,the best things in your home.......................COMPUTER GAMES.I am SURE that all of you love computer games,i know how you feel!Well lets get on with it!
I play computer games 'cause i'm a kid.I also play computer games to relief stress.I play online rpg games,thet are Battleon Dragonfable Mechquest and the latest aq worlds.I am attracted to these computer games because they are fun and exciting,plus they have many cool animations!I think many students play computer games because they are nice.Moreover,some students also play Gameboy.In one week,i usually get 1 hour on friday and 1 hour on saturday,very little right?I think that computer games will affect our studies only if we play too much,as kids,we also have to enjoy ourselves,Right?I am aware that people can get so addicted to computer games that they even give up hundreds of dollars just to play for an hour.I am now trying to stop my habit of over playing computer games.well that is all,goodbye

Term 3 Week 9 : The Olympic Games

Hello everyone,Singapore finally got itself a medal!!!!!!!!!

psssssst:and i thought there will be no school!

Okay lets get down to buisness!The Olympics first started in the city of Olympia in honor of the god Zeus.It is important ebent in sports because the Olympics encourage people to make a name for their country.I have watched the Swimming event and the table tennis event because they both are very exciting,moreover,Singapore is participating in the table tennis event.Feng Tian Wei impresses me most because when she hits the ping pong ball,she hits with great accuracy and strength.Someday i hope there will be a Pokemon event in the Olympics,when that happens,i will participate in that event!I think that it is worth organizing the Olympics because we get to see how good athletes from all around the world are.

Hi everyone today i am going to talk about National Day.The P5 have also attended a NE show preview.
National Day is about the day Singapore gained Independance.We celebrate National Day to remind us that Singapore has gone a long way since independence.I did not do much on National Day but i did watch the NDP show on tv,I even recorded some of the parts in my handphone!I think the school did a good job in organizing the celebration.I was very impressed with the activities organized.We can improve our celebration by giving out free fun packs for the students.

Hello everyone,today i am going to talk to you about COPYRIGHT YEAH YEAH YEAH ,(ahem)
<*cough,cough*>.Lets get down to buisness.Copyright is something tha is originally created by the creater,and that means that copying it is wrong.Some of the resources that are copyright are maybe internet softwares like yahoo and google.It is wrong to to infringe on the copyright of others because it is original.Imagine you getting your genuine a compo and got an A Star.But when you saw your friends paper,you see that his compo is exactly like yours and the grades are the same,How would you feel? If you copy other's work,it is okay to apologise and delete it.If you use the materials of others without their permission they have all rights to report you.So far i have not seen anyone copying others but i will keep a lookout.
I can make sure people don't copy my work is to put it in some form of code.

Hello everyone!,today i am going to talk to you about Racial Harmony.Racial Harmony means everybody of different cultures coming together to form one nation.It is important that we have Racial Harmony in Singapore because,imagine Singapore beings a Chinese only country.I will now tell you a short story. There was a Chinese kopi seller selling coffee.Then an Indian customer comes
to Singapore and wants to try out the coffee,he orders his coffee in indian language,as the Chinese man did not know any Indian language,he just stared blankly into space.Then suddenly,a half chinese half indian man came by and asked the indian man what he wanted,then he answered in indian that he wanted a cup of coffee.Next,the man told the hawker seller in chinese that he wanted a cup of coffee.He gave the hawker 80 cents and the hawker seller gave him the cup of coffee.Then he gave the cup of coffee to the indian man.He was so surprised that he wanted to cry!

That is why we need to have Racial Harmony in Singapore.People of different races get along quite well in our school.I have a friend who is from a different race.I met him as he was in the same class as me.He can be a bit naughty at time but when you actually get to know him,he is a very good friend inside.I think that we can promote Racial Harmony by getting to know people's inside.

Hello everyone,do you like my new blog skin?Unfortunately,all my page elements are gone,but if i change back to my original skin,my page elements will be back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay now i am going to talk about kids sleeping at night.I usually get about 6.5-8 hours of sleep everyday.I think that i do not have enough sleep each day.I think i do not getenough sleep because i have a strange problem,i usually take about 30 minutes to 1 hour to get to sleep.I think that there is too many thing to do everyday because i have to complete my mother's assesment,school homework and my tution homework.When i wake up,i have to brush teeth,eat breakfast,change,and when i come back from school,i eat lunch,then bath and sometimes i get ready for my tution,after tution i have to study,and at night i have to read a book and go to sleep.Parents can reduce the homework they give to their students.

National Day Preview

HELLLLOOOOOOOO fellow people out there,i went to the NDP preview on 12 of july and i can say it is COOL.THE PARTS I LIKE BEST ARE THE FIGHTER JETS ABOVE OUR HEADS AND THE FIREWORKS.I realised something,THE CHIPS WERE A BIG PACK,first i shared with rommel,then he said he did not want anymore,so i pass back to share with Chew Jian and Kennett.After that i passed it on to Ashley and Michelle.They finished it alright!

Cyberbullying is bullys that bully other people in Cyberspace.Cyberbullys do many bad things to victims like blackmailing them,threatening to beat them up if they do not hang out with them.These people engage in Cyberbullying because they find Cyberbullying a way to relieve stress,but i am sure many people do not think so.We cannot do much about Cyberbullying but all we can do is tell them to stop as it hurts one's feelings.So far i have not encountered any Cyberbullys on the internet but i am sure that Cyberbully's are still at large.I will tell Cyberbullys this one messege"STOP IT BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE".

Term 3 Week 3 : The Right Use of 999

HEY BIG BUDDY and everyone else that is reading this post,
During the assembly, the police spoke to the school about the right use of 999.Now that is what i am going to tell you about.
I think people of the public and students abuse the 999 hotline because they think that it is not serious calling the number,little do they kow that doing this will get them into big big trouble.You should only call 999 in emergancys like when you see someone breaking into your neighbour's house.You should not call 999 when there are no emergancys like when you can't get your money out of the telephone booth.The misuse of 999 can delay police response to real emergancys.Before you call 999,the first thing you should do is stay calm.The punishment for misuse of 999 should be enough because i feel that it is hard for one to bear.

Term 3 Week 1 : PE Attire

The principal has announced that all pupils can wear PE attire the whole day when they have their PE lessons.I think that this is good because many people fight for rooms in the toilet.The advantages are that you do not need to waste your recess time on changing.Some of the disadvantages is that we will smell and stink really bad!Wearing PE attire for the whole day will result in bad hygiene as all the stick sweat from PE lessons will stick to you.I support the principal's view because we do not need to change anymore.Moreover,when you are changing people will kick your door for no apparent reason.I think i have no other suggestions.

Group Project Work :Day 2

Today is the second day as we have finished up most of the stuff,but rommel is having difficulties coping with the work he has to do.So i asked Ramadhan and Teng Jun to help him while me and Juinn Guan worked on the money of the monopolay set we have included in our Anti-Dengue Kit.Everything went well today although there were some problems which held us back,but we managed to solve our problems using teamwork.We noticed that some people have been copying our ideas.Rommel told us not to care because if we do anything about it,we will not have enough time to prepare the monopoly set in time,now all that is left is the board,money and title deed cards.
Tomorrow is the last day so lets all hope that we will be able to finish in time....................................

This whole week is Project Work Week,we are supposed to get into groups of 5,my group's name is,The Dark Phoenix,It consists of me,Rommel,Ramadhan,Teng Jun and Juinn Guan.At first we worked quite well,but after recess,things began to go out of order,group members started talking about stuff like pokemon funtabs,duel masters,playing and stuff like that,but the problem was settled when we decided that everytime you talk about another subject,you will be fined 10 cents.After that,the discussion went quite well.

Personal Response 5 : Earthquakes

The causes of Earthquakes are two tectonic plates of the world crashing into each other.
If an earthquake were to happen in your house or in the area that you are living in,you should get to flat open ground,never stand below the ground as the earthquake is strongest there.
I think scientists can detect an earthquake by looking at the ground,if it is moving then there is a possibility of an earthquake.Earthquakes have occured in many countries such as,China Malaysia and many more.Someday,the earthquake will reach Singapore but i am, sure we will be prepared for it.These countries have Earthquakes because they are not near the safe zone.I think there will not be an earthquake in Singapore because we are near the Equator,but in the near future,ithe earthquake might strike Singapore,after all,the world is always changing............

Reflection 5 : My Mother

I think that Mother's day is an enjoyable day,even for Mothers.Last Mother's Day,we went out for Sushi lunch,after that my Father and me dissapeared.Actually,we went to buy a gift for my mother,I have forgottened what the present is.This year,i am planing to go to th airport as she is coming back from Hong Kong to surprise her with a gift.I am my Mother's son,so it is my responsibility to look after her and make sure that she is in good health.

My Mother has helped me a lot throughout the years,like putting food on the table,making sure I get enough nutrients.My Mother never fails to scold me once in a while,but I know that it is for my own good.I can strengthen my relationship with my mother by spending time with her and keeping her company whenever she is lonely.Mothers are important in children's lifes because if Mothers never existed,threr would be no one to born the babies,humans will go extinct without Mothers.If there is one special thing I can do for my Mother,the thing will be to give her life forever

Personal Response 4 : Child Safety Belt in School Bus

I take the school bus to and from school everyday,except days when I have CCAs or Remmidial lessons.
The children in my school bus usually play on the school bus,however,when the bus starts moving,they will sit down and chit chat.
I agree with Ms Karen Koh that safety belt should be install in school buses because if such an accident were to happen in one of our school buses,the seat belt can save alot of lives.
I disagree Mr Leow Beng Kiong's view that installing seat beltsare not only costly but also unnecessary as the children are on the bus for only about 15 minutes because even though we were going to sit in the bus for 5 minutes only,we still have to put on the seat belt because many things can happen within 5 minutes.
Bus attendents can request for the Principal or the Vice-Principal to come on the bus to check that all the students on the bus put on their seatbelts.

Scariest Day Of My Life

Today was the scariest day of my life because while taking the lift down to the 1st floor,the lift could not close properly,it was making scary noises.When i noticed it,i screamed"Let us out of here!!!!",with that,i started pressing all of the lift buttons.Then I pressed the Emergancy button like crazy.Lukily,the lift stopped at the 2nd floor,but it would not open!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then i kept pressing the open button.Finally,the lift door opened,I quickly ran out of the lift and sat down in shock.That was the most frightening experience in my life.
Since the previous time i got stuck in the lift,i have been afraid of the lift.Experiencing this incident only increased my fears of the lift.....................

Reflection 4 : Food Sold In Our Canteen

Hey all,have you ate food in the canteen?well i have,except that i do not eat fried noodles or rice and stuff,i only eat snacks like polar snack and oreo which can be bought at stall number 2
My favourite stall in the canteen is stall number 2,why?It is because most of my friends,including me,likes the snacks sold in that stall.If you like snacks,you can go to that stall and try the snacks out,but be careful,do not eat too much snacks!
I do not know if the drinks and food sold in our canteen is clean or not because i have never bought any drinks or food from any of the stalls but i think thet are clean.
Some of the healthier drinks are the milo,iced lemon tea and maybe coffee because Mr Ong drinks it everyday at recess.Some of the healthier food is the noodles because they are hot and warmth kills batcteria.
I can suggest that the school should sell spagetti in the canteen
I think we can make the canteen a better place by putting more tables and chairs as we students have to argue about who sits where.

Personal Response 3 : Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease

HFMD is a disease that is highly contagious.
You can tell if your friend has HFMD by checking if he or she has any of these symptoms
fever
sore throat
ulcers in the throat, mouth and tongue
headache
a rash with vesicles (small blisters, 3-7 mm) on hands, feet and diaper area. The vesicles are typically on the palm side of the hands the sole side of the feet and very characteristic in appearance
loss of appetite
HFMD can occur in adults and children.Children under 5 are most vulnerable to this disease
I can prevent myself from getting Hand Foot Mouth Disease by practising good hygiene
Currenly,i do not know of anyone who has gotten this disease.
Someone with Hand Foot Mouth Disease should not come to school
I will give the children a talk on HFMD and explaining them the causes of it
I will also ask teachers to give rewards to those pupils who practised goo hygiene

Reflection 3: Friendship

To me Friendship is like having someone whom you treat as family being close to you in school
It is important to have friends because in some situations like having no money for lunch,parents will not be there to help you,in these situations the only people you can ask help from is none other than your friends.
I can develop friendship with others by taking one step at a time
Step 1 just hang out with him during recess
Step 2 as we become closer,i will begin to treat him to stuff on alternate days
Step three by this step we should be good friends
I think that it is important for Singaporeans to be friendly with people of other countries because if Singaporeans do not be friends,we cannot trade materials like petrol from other countries.
I enjoyed the activities during our school International Friendship Day.
I enjoyed the part when students from other countries carried their countries's flag because it shows the symbol of Singapore being the first to hold the Youth Olympic Games.
I suggest that the school should invite all the teams participating in tho Olympic Games
to Anderson Primary School,on top of that........1 hour of recess

Hi this is my personal response about courtesy,
I think that Courtesy is about being honest and own up to your mistake
The fable Kong Rong Rang Li (Tale from China)impresses me most because Khong Rong only took the smaller apples.He had the Courtesy to leave the bigger apples for his bigger brothers.
I think that the pupils in our class is Courteous because they will return things that don"t belong to them.Although some children in our class are not courteous,i belive they can change.
We can show courtesy to ur friends,family members and others by telling them the truth.

Reflection 2: My Dream

I dream of becoming an engineer,just like my father.I think this dream is important to me because if i become an engineer,i can build cars that do not give out carbon dioxide.

Personal Response 1 : Racial Harmony

Racial harmony means that everyone,regardless of race or religion,must try to be friends with each other.They may argue alot and misunderstood each other,that was how the misunderstanding among the various races arise.I think that Rajah's solution is silly,if everyone has no races,nobody would be able to understand each other's language.We can tell them that we are one,regardless of race or religion,together WE ARE ONE PEOPLE.
I think Anderson Primary School should put up a play showing two friends that cannot understand each other's language,but they are still friends.

My friends said that i did well but i don't think so.I think that i did well in English,Maths and Science,for Mother Tongue,i did not do so well

I plan to study even harder to get better results,but that would not be easy.........

My mother was not very happy with my results,she said that i have to work harder to achieve the reward i wanted.i will also try to pay more attention in class rather than playing with my stationarys.Did all of you get the results you wanted?Did you recieve the reward you wanted?

Social Studies learning journey on 20/2/2008

It was a fun experience going on the learning journey with my buddy Rommel i learned that people went through harsh times during the Japanese Occupation.I also learned that adnan bin saidi,the leader of the Malay Regiment,fought to the last men.
