ER Visit

Friday, October 7th
Well we ended up in the ER again with Erin. I think she has James beat as far as visiting the hospital. Well she was swinging at the park and a kid was throwing a swing and it hit Erin in the face. She got stiches in her eye brow and in her chin. The cut on her chin when all the through and her lip and cut her gums pritty good. She also had 2 chipped teeth & knocked one loose. Not bad for a swing. She was such a trooper. She cried lots but she was strong and brave when she needed to be. We never did find the kids. Erin didn't ever see who it was. She was happily swinging when she was blindsided by the swing. She has since gotten her teeth fix, so know the look the same. On isn't longer than the other any more. She will get her stiches out on the 14th. It was so sweet Thursday morning she prayed that when she gets her stiches out that she would be pritty again. When she was done I reminded her that she is alway beautiful.

Erin's Dance Recital

Erin was so excited for her dance recital. She told me that she felt like a princess. We did her hair and put a little make-up on, which she loved.

It was so fun to see her do her cute little expressions during her dance. Her dance was called Heat Wave.

It was so much fun to have both of her Grandmas and her Grandpa, Her great Aunt and Uncle that live in Garden City and her Aunt Mindy there to cheer her on. We loved having them all there to see Erin shine.

Good Bye

Well this past week has been difficult. My sweet Aunt Terry passed away on April 25th. That ment another trip back to Salt Lake. The funeral was that next friday. It was so nice to see all the cousins and Aunts and Uncles. It's in time like this that you cling to your family and faith for support. I'm so grateful for my family and my faith. I just don't know how people find comfort without both. I couldn't count how many hug were passed around there were so many. The love for each other filled the room and some. Even though it is never easy and brings lot of heart ache, it was worth driving every single mile. I just kept thinking, "this cant be happening". Thinking of her being gone is going take some time. I just never thought this day would come. I think we hope we never have to face times like this. During the funeral, listening to Greg talk about Terry made me want to be a better person and mother. She was so amazing. I love Terry and her family very much. Time is an amazing thing. It doesn't take the pain away it just helps us know how to deal with it.
"God be with you till we meet again."

Easter 2011

The kids all had a great time finding all the candy filled eggs. This year Willie's mom joined us for the hunt at my mom's house. It was fun to have her there. This kidos all got way too much candy. But they loved very second of it.

We stayed with Craig & Dawn this year for Easter and we had fun at their neighborhood easter egg hunt. Yeah... More candy !

Spring Break

Over spring break we took the kids to Salt Lake. Our kids haven't been to the Hogle Zoo for a very long time. I think Libble and James are the only ones how have been. We were able to take with us Ave Craig and Dawns daughter that is Erins age. They have a blast. By the end of the day the kids were ready for ICE CREAM!!

On one of the other days while we were in SLC we went to the Dinosaur museum by Thanksgiving Point. The kids enjoyed looking at all the different kinds of Dinosaurs. I think there favorite part was playing in the wet sand. It taught them about erosion.

James Baptism

Well time has run away with me again. James got baptized on April 1st 2011. It will be a day we will all remember. For weeks we had his baptism planned. All the preparations were in place. But to no avail the day couldn't have gone more wrong. April fools on us I guess. We arrived at the church on time and ready to go. When it go closer to dunking time we started wondering were a few key note people were. The Bishop to over see the event and my brother who was speaking on Baptism. Well we called them both and the Bishop had forgotten and so did my brother. The bishop wasn't very far away and was able to drop what he was doing and come on over to the church. My brother felt awful and tried to come as soon as he could but he was across the valley and it was going to take him some time to get to the church. I jokingly said to some family, "So does anyone want to give a talk on baptism?" To my surprise Anthony, my nephew, without hesitation said, "Sure, not a problem". I reassured him that I was just joking and that I didn't mind doing it. He was admit that it was something he wanted to do and it would give him some practice for his mission. I was so grateful for his willingness. His is going to make one amazing missionary. Also to add to our continuation of luck the slideshow that I made to play between baptism and confirmation did want to play. By this time I couldn't do anything but smile and go with the flow. I was thinking lets just push James in and get it over
with. Who said we need a program anyway?
All in all it was a wonderful day and we enjoyed seeing lots of friends and family. James will definitely have lots to remember about his baptism. Willie and I are so proud of him. Good Job James!

YMCA St. Patrick's Day Fun Run

We were hoping to run this as a family but Willie had to fall down the stairs and brake his toe & tweak his foot. So it was just Libbie, James and I. Libbie & James ran the 1 Mile kid run and I ran the 5 Mile run.

Libbie and James getting ready at the starting line.

James finished at 10:33. If you notice he only has one shoe on. He lost it at the beginning of the race and didn't want to stop to get it. He said that would have slowed him down. So he ran most of the 1 mile with only one shoe. What a trooper!

Libbie finished at 12:07. That's my girl! What a winner! When it was time for me to get ready she wanted to run with me until she found out that it was 5x longer than hers.

I'm so glad that we had this opportunity to run this morning. I hope my kids will always remember how much fun we had cheering and routing each other on. It's kinda like real life. What a great way to start a day.

This is my good friend Christy. She was also going to run with us but ended up with and injury also. She was determined run so she ran the 5K instead of the 5 mile. It's nice to have friends to celebrate each other's accomplishments. I finished my 5 miles at 49:09, better than what I was planning for. Yeah!!

James' first Pinewood Derby Race

Even though his car didn't win. James had a great time. He got all excited (jumping up and down) when it was his cars turn to race. It was a proud parent moment to see him with a smile on his face that no one whip off. What a fun night.

At the Busch's

We went out to Caldwell to visit some old friends the Bucsh's. Chad took the kids out back to shoot beebee guns. This was my kids first experience with guns. James had a good time.

James was so cute trying to look through one eye.

Today we went Ice Skating! FUN!

Erin was a natural. Libbie loved showing her how to do it.

Libbie is trying to give them helpful hints on how not to fall down.

Have to say "Cheese" for me at least once.

Yeah! James is up!

Spoke too soon. James also spent a lot of time on the ice. Boy he sure was having a good time though.

Erin also was have a good time.

James and Erin both fell on each other. It was a good thing I had my camera handy.
Everyone had a good time. I think the vote to do this again is a YEAH!!
