Avery Elle summer release blog hop!

Hi there!

I am so excited because our Summer 2023 Release is finally here!!  We have an amazing blog hop full of inspiration today and we are so glad that you are here. For my card today, I used the new Starburst Oval Die and the new Bigger Cake stamp set:

I backed the oval die with a pale yellow cardstock, and made a shaker window filled with cake sprinkles. Then, I sponged the inside edge of the starburst with a light blue ink before adding in the adorable images.

I hope you like it!

Avery Elle spring release blog hop!

Hi there!

I am so excited because our Spring 2023 Release is finally here!!  We have an amazing blog hop full of inspiration today and we are so glad that you are here. I illustrated 5 sets for this release, but the one I'm showing off today is Howdy:

I used the scene-building elements - the barn, the tractor - to fill out the top of my card and create depth. The farmer and his critters are ready to celebrate!

I hope you like it! Check out my instagram today for a GIVEAWAY!

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

 Hi there!

I am so excited because our Winter 2022 Release is finally here!!  We have an amazing blog hop full of inspiration today and we are so glad that you are here. Thank you so much for all of your comments and likes during our previews this week.  I read each and every comment and it really makes my day!!

I designed 1 set for this release, Bake Me So Happy, and it perfectly combines my love of baking with my love for cute critters!

I made 2 cards to share with you today. The first one is pretty in pink:

I used the heart spray stamp image to create a soft allover pattern on the pink cardstock layer. I then stamped, colored and die-cut all but the hedgehog (he'll pop up on a future card!)

For my next card, I did a little bit of creative inking to replace the heart-shaped cookies with a pair of gingerbread men:

Before inking, I wiped off the cookies, part of the sheet tray, and the steam lines. Using a Misti stamp positioner really helps with this! Once everything was inked, I used a copic-friendly black pen to re-draw parts of the bear and pan that were missing.

I brought in a few elements from other stamp sets. The rug, frame and stool are from Feels Like Home. The more Christmassy elements are from Mr. And Mrs. Claus, Carolers, and Dino-Mite Christmas

I hope you like them! Come visit me on instagram for a fun giveaway, and be sure to check out the rest of the design team's creations:

Avery Elle fall/winter release blog hop!

 Hi there!

I am so excited because our Fall 2022 Release is finally here!!  We have an amazing blog hop full of inspiration today and we are so glad that you are here. Thank you so much for all of your comments and likes during our previews this week.  We read each and every comment and it really makes our day!!

I designed 4 sets for this new release. The first one is a halloween themed set called Frightfully Fun! I made this card to show all of the main images from the set. That mummy-wrapped turtle is my fave!

Carolers is my next set, and oh my goodness, it is so fun to work with! They are spreading the holiday spirit! The little mouse singing his heart out just makes me giggle.

The last of the cards I have for you today is this one, featuring Peaceful Frame. I think I will be using this design for my holiday cards this year - as my daughter put it: it's elegant and cute all in one!

I ran out of time to create a card with my last set, Dino-mite Christmas, but here's a little peek at it!

I hope you like what you are seeingCome visit me on instagram for a fun giveaway, and be sure to check out the rest of the design team's creations:

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

 Hi there!

I'm so excited for this new Avery Elle release! You can find everything in the store already (click HERE). I designed 2 beachy sets for this release, Beachy and Make A Splash. I made 2 cards using Beachy to show off today!

For this first card, I stamped all of the elements, brought in the sun from Flamazing, and framed everything using the new Pierced Ray Frame die set. The whole scene is so bright and happy! I love the little flip flops in the sand. To give the scene a little extra pop, I colored the scalloped part of the frame (which is optional, how great is that!) in red.

My next card features the same bear, but now he's bending down to see if he can hear what the squirrel is listening to from that shell! I used the other new frame die - the Pierced Birthday Frame - and did the opposite of what I did on the first card. The scalloped portion in white, and the frame in a fun pink. I brought in some clouds, from Carrot Car, and the big puddle from Tickled Pink to finish off the scene.

I hope you like the new sets! Come visit me on instagram for a fun giveaway, and be sure to check out the rest of the design team's creations:

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

Hi there!

wowza, this blog has just sat here with no new posts for the last few months. I've been posting stuff to instagram, but it feels like no one visits blogs anymore. I'd love to hear your opinion on that!

But today, I'm so excited for today's Avery Elle new release blog hop! I designed 5 sets for this release, and you'll find them all in the store HERE.

Today, I'm showing off the Rain Or Shine stamp set, and I've crafted 3 cards to show you:

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

My first card features the fox and his little duck friends! There are 2 ducks included in the set, but by tilting them a little differently, they look like they are all unique. I did an ink-blended background, and let it get hazy towards the middle. I then used my white gel pen to create the rain drops - some dashes, some round drops.

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

To finish up the card, I used a copic marker to add darker puddles beneath their boots, and the white gel pen to add highlights.

Where my first card featured bright, primary colors, my next one is softer in its pastel colors. I brought in the bear and the little frog. I love his little googly eyes! I had no idea how hard it would be to draw a frog, by the way. Go figure, he's one of the smallest critters and I drew some really odd looking ones before I settled on him. I love how the bear and fox are providing him some shelter!

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

For this card, I only ink-blended around the top, and left the ground white. I added some soft blue puddles under their feet.

My last card is the most simple, but still so sweet. I used the Star Scene die to provide the cut out, and backed it with a Waves die-cut in the background. I then layered a sweet scene featuring the bunny and his little snail friend.

I hope you like what I created for you! I am running a giveaway on my instagram today - be sure to leave me a comment there to be entered to win a stamp set of your choosing from the new release.

And check out the other design team blogs today, their creations are amazing:

Avery Elle Fall release blog hop!

 Hi there!

Welcome to the Avery Elle Fall release blog hop! All of the new products are available in the store right now - click!

I have 3 cards to share with you today, using a set that I illustrated, called Fall Picnic. I drew a handful of woodland critters, gave them a huge (tableclothed) tree stump to spread their goodies on, and of course, lots of fall treats and drinks for the sharing!

My first card pairs the new set with and older one, the background building Woodland Scene Builder:

It looks like something straight out of a children's book! I love the sweet feel of it.

For my next card, I did a slimline size, and some more saturated ink blending for the background:

This way, the whole gang can come to this picnic! I love the owl and the squirrel reaching across everyone to greet each other!

My last card is a more simple design:

It a cozy moment between the 2 friends, sharing a warm mug of whatever you like in the fall. A chai latte for me, please.

I hope you like what you see so far! The design team has more to show you:

Sweet as Maple Syrup

Hi there!

I have a sweet card to share today, featuring Avery Elle's Maple Syrup:

This card is pretty simple, but everything works so well together! Maple Syrup was meant to be a Canada Day set, but I included a few sentiments so that it could work for anyone! For this card, I went with Canada Day colors, but used this sweet-as-maple-syrup sentiment. I think it's adorable! When using a tiny stamp set (Maple Syrup is only a 2x3 set), it helps to bring in images from other sets. Here, I brought it little grass accents and mushrooms from Look How Big, and an extra bird from Life

For the background, I used a sheet of red gingham, from The Holiday Collection Paper Pad. There are many designs in this paper collection that work for projects outside of the Christmas holidays!

To break up all of the gingham, I used 2 different sizes of circle dies to cut into the patterned paper and create a white frame. The little scene fit perfectly inside. Is there anything cuter than a buck-toothed beaver holding a bottle of maple syrup?

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

Hi there!

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

I am so excited because our Summer 2021 Release is finally here!!  We have an amazing blog hop full of inspiration today and we are so glad that you are here. I illustrated 4 new sets in the mix (Sweet Day, Life, Maple Syrup, and Flamazing), and I'm thrilled to show off 2 of them here today.

Introducing.... Sweet Day:

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

I made 3 cards to show off today! For this one, I did some light green ink blending to create a ground, and used a cloud stencil and some blue ink to create a bright sky. I curved the script sentiment around the giant ice cream cone and added a secondary sentiment below the images. The little bird looking on is from the companion set, Life. I love that little turtle - he looks so pleased with his popsicle! I kept the colors very soft and pretty.

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

For my second set, I wanted to create a more urban setting for my ice cream truck! I used the cityscape image from Superheroes:

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

Again, I brought in the birds from Life, and have them looking down on the truck and treats. The basic setup of the images is the same, but the feel is very different with those grey buildings in the background! The red accents really stand out against the more bleak background.

My last card features the saddest piglet in the world. He dropped his treat, and on a hot summer's day there's nothing more devastating.

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

I stamped the ice cream truck from Sweet Day, masked it and the bird, and stenciled some clouds in behind. I kept the coloring very muted, so that it almost looks like a vintage sepia polaroid. I felt like it added to the... sadness? The pig was colored in a brighter pink, and his chocolate in rich browns.

I hope you like them! I'm doing a giveaway for Sweet Day - check out my post on instagram to enter!

And check out all of the amazing inspiration along the entire blog hop:

Superheroes!

 Hi there,

I have a card to share with you featuring Avery Elle's Superheroes set:

  superheroes!

I stamped the cityscape and superheroes, and colored everything using copic markers. I saturated the sky background so that the images would really pop, and added fun elements like the help speech bubble!

superheroes!

I love that quirky koala! I hope you like him too, and thanks for stopping by!

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

 Hi there!

I'm so excited to be celebrating Avery Elle's newest release with a blog hop today! We have 12 new stamp sets and 13 new die sets available in the store right now (click!)

I designed 5 of the new sets, including the one that I will be showing off today: Underwater Friends.

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

I complemented Underwater Friends with the also-new Underwater Background Builder. I love how they work together so seamlessly!

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

For my first card, I went saturated and moody with the coloring. I used copic markers to color the cliffs (BG72, BG75, BG78 and 100.) I kept working them until I was happy with the shadowing. I then used Lawn Fawn inks (in Mermaid, Peacock and Deep Sea) to color the background. I used black ink to shade around the sides and bottom of the card as well, to add extra depth to the scene. Then, I set about coloring the mermaid, the adorable shrimp (gah! that form a heart together!) and I added a little fish to the sea-cave at the bottom left. I love that little detail!

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

For my second card, I went for light and dreamy. I color the cliffs in much lighter colors, and ink-blended blues and violet for the ocean background. I colored all of the rocks and vegetation in light, bubblegum colors, and colored the creatures to match. I love how color can totally change the outcome of a card!

I hope you like what I created for you today! Be sure to check out all of the fun blog hop inspiration:

Loads of thanks! (with Avery Elle)

Hi there!

I'm here with a sweet and simple card featuring a set from the newest Avery Elle release, Loads Of Thanks.

loads of thanks! (with Avery Elle)

I used the coordinating dies to cut out the scripty Thanks in pink and matted it in white. I then stamped the secondary greeting in a crisp black ink. I added 2 waving foxes (from the also-new Sending Hugs) and framed it all out with a scalloped piece from the Fairy Ephemera pack. I love them peeking out overtop of the die-cut greeting!

I hope you like it!

Here's what I used on my card:

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

 Hi there!

I'm so excited to be celebrating Avery Elle's newest release with a blog hop today! We have 6 new stamp sets and 7 new die sets available in the store right now (click!)

I designed 2 of the new sets, Sending Hugs and Sending Flowers. You could certainly use the sets separately, but they were designed to complement each other.

I'm showing off Sending Hugs today with a trio of cards.

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

The envelope stamp already has a few florals built into the image, and the die set allows you to cut out the envelope front and line up the stamped image for a seamless look. I stuck the waving koala inside, and added extra florals from Sending Flowers to complete the look.

I went with a bolder envelope color on this second card:

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

I colored the envelope a bright red, and stuck the elephant inside. I gave him a flower to hold, as he looks down at his little mouse friend!

My 3rd card ditches the envelope and uses a critter from the set for a different purpose:

Avery Elle new release blog hop!

I made a cute little birthday card by pulling in a cake, some party hats and a balloon from other sets. I love that the critters can be used on different kinds of cards! I plan on using them on some cute tags too - I think they'd be perfect.

I hope you like what I created for you today! Be sure to check out all of the fun blog hop inspiration:

25 days of Christmas tags (with Avery Elle)

 Hi there!

I'm thrilled to be joining Tracey McNeely's annual 25 days of Christmas tags event! Look at this amazing line up of sponsors:

Avery Elle is the sponsor today, so you know I had to jump in with a few tags!

25 days of Christmas tags (with Avery Elle)

I made this set of tags using images from Winter Friends! It's a set that I illustrated for Avery Elle and I think they look so cute on these tags! The tag shape is courtesy of the Holiday Circle Tags die set, and the No Peeking sentiment is from Peek-A-Boo Tags. I can't wait to use these on some presents!

I also brought back one of my favorite sets from last year's winter release: Santa Bear.

25 days of Christmas tags (with Avery Elle)

I colored images from the set and put them onto a piece from the Holiday Ephemera pack. Nothing simpler!

I hope you like my tags for today. Check out Tracey's blog today for more inspiration: click!
