Lae Lay Grill Spices Seafood - Krabi

T'was my first time travelling to Krabi despite the fact that i'd travelled more than 10times to Bangkok, 7854361496723 times to Hadyai, Kanchanaburi, Phuket and many more places which i cant even recall. I wasn't planning any trip either but boyf called the and asked if I wanted to go Krabi for a getaway with his another couple friend. Got so elated and immediately agreed! So thankful to his friend LC and the girlfriend Shiyi for organizing this amazing trip :)

This post was literally the last night we stayed in Krabi before we depart home the next day. Will have a proper post soon, I promise! So, we decided to have something different for dinner that day. I've read reviews about this restaurant before but never thought that we would have a chance to dine there until Shiyi brought this idea up and we decided to go for it. Its a restaurant that is located in the mid mountain where we could watch the sunset while we have our dinner. Romantic isnt?

We asked our Hotel receptionist to booked a table for us and there's even a free ride there provided by the restaurant. I was pretty impressed by the good hospitality though :p

picture turned out over exposed due to the sun.

the place is not far from town, only took us 5-10 minutes to arrive from our hotel
 this is it!
 the gents
 the ladies

the camera decided to focus on my arm instead.

Lae Lay Grill Spices Seafood serves both Thai and Western cuisines with the special menu that changes every 6 weeks.

The setting is quite similar with Ferringhi Garden, also one of our favourite restaurants in Penang. There's another floor upstairs which is available for customers too.

thank you for making everything happen for me!

skin got darker after snorkeling and island hopping session earlier that afternoon. Bad bad sunburn i've got right on my ass. I literally forgot to apply on my butt cuz I applied the sunblock right after I put my shorts on.

the waitress on my back just ruined the whole picture!

 our drinks!

the sun is about to set. such magnificent view!

We decided to order a few dishes to share  so that we could try more variety of both Thai and western delight.
Thailand is all about tomyam kung! Definitely a must have but i still prefer a white based tomyam. Taste alright to me. The thing about tomyam is if its good, its good. If its not, its still good!

 salmon cutlets something something.

calamari rings fried with some spicy batter. This is really good and addictive as well.

this crab meat thing is sooooo yummy! the crab meat without the shell makes life so much easier definitely. lol

everyone was so busy enjoying the sunset view before all of us start digging in.

a picture of us before we left the lovely place.

ending this post with this 2 ice creams that i loveeee :D

Away and Back!

Hello! Long time no see? It's been months since i update my blog here. So sorry that i broke my promise that I thought I would blog at least once a month. Things were oh-kay lately. This year was kinda different, dont know how I should put it but hitting my final year in uni soon strikes me hard. I really dont know if I should be happy or sad. Really one lehh. At one point you really hope that uni life ends quickly due to dramas that you've been facing, truckloads of assignment and exam stress but when you think on the other way working environment would be even worse? Boy oh boy, how I wish I could just be a little girl with no worries.

Anyway, I'm having my 2 month + semester break now and im not planning to do anything as its my final long break before i start my internship the following semester! Hahahahaha everyone calling me a couch potato, lazy bum and whatnots because i've been literally doing nothing the whole day except for watching tv, online, eat and sleep! WAIT, I've been helping mum with the house chores tooooo yo! :p
As most people know from my updates from fb, twitter and instagram, my boyf is currently studying in UK. Life's been a tad different now as i dont get to see him especially now when im SUPER FREEEEEE -_-

boyf and I at the airport with his family. Just before he board the plane. I was kinda sad and had this heartache going on when I think about him not being able to see him, reach him and bla bla bla.. but as time goes by, everything went well.

made a photobook for him too! Its so beautiful! I teared everytime I flipped through the pages. lol

That's him with his friends being such a sweetie pie!
I wouldn't say that we didn't argue at all but I'm quite proud and happy that everything went smoothly even distance may sometimes be a problem and boundary to both of us. The thing that matters here is both party must make an effort to make time for each other. Due to the time difference that we're facing, it sorta limits our time reaching each other but we make an effort to drop each other messages and TO NOT make a habit of NOT talking/discussing about our problems daily.

I think its truly important to not make something that you dont want a norm as this may make both party to have this gap between them. That's when people started to say 'YOU'VE CHANGED, I'VE CHANGED, EVERYBADEHH CHANGEDDD.'

Here's an app that both boyf and I like apart from fb chat, whatsapp, FaceTime, Couple is a good one too!

the app is like a platform for only both partners where we can share pics, sketch, thumb kiss (which is really cute) and stuff like that. So boyf will send me pics of anything and update me. Recently he went to all these designer outlets and shops which explains the pics of clothes, bags and stuff. HEHE

Another thing is that my sister and her friends joined this 'Lets Take A Break Commercial Challenge 2013' a radio commercial challenge organised by KDU College and this year's collaboration with Marshall's Burger!
Guess what? Their team won! Thanks to all who voted though and so sorry for bugging all my fb friends.

winner's treat! all of us ordered varieties of pork burger *yummmyyyy!

Had an awesome gathering aka MayLing's birthday celebration last weekend too! Its nice to finally meet my girls after not meeting 'em for months. Catching up time with 'em is always fun and full of laughter :D

that's all for now! will continue update about my taiwan / krabi trip soon.

Welcome to Taiwan - Day 4

Sorry ah.. im like blogging once a month now. Although I'm having my mid semester break now but assignments flooding in like tsunami and I've got 3 mid term test right after my break! You say hectic or not?? BUT, im going over to KL tmr cuz i will be going on a vacation aka short getaway with boyf and friends! Hence, im trying to complete my assignments before i leave tmr morning. Anyway, assignments are partially completed, packed my stuff earlier this evening and as I'm clearing my camera's memory card, I thought of blogging! As promised I'll be blogging about the Ferris Wheel and Shihlin Night Market. So here goes....

pretty isnt? the ferris wheel is located right on top of Miramar mall! so cooool :p

it's huge too! but smaller than the Eye on Malaysia that was previously been located somewhere in Malaysia, lol obviously.

we can either choose to ride on the normal gondolas or the transparent ones!! WHICH WE DARE NOT TO TRY!!!

Munyee and I. she's afraid of heights! xD

amazing night view from above :)

with le bro!

spot Taipei 101??!!

on the peak!

and slowly going down again.

while waiting for our shuttle bus to Shihlin Night Market, we went over to the opposite car park space to have a better picture with the Ferris Wheel! :D
and yes, the mall provides free bus rides to shihlin which is super convenient.

notice someone changed her hairstyle in just minutes! lol

so fast forward to the famous ShihLin Night Market! i actually went there 3 or 4 times. too many times till i couldn't recall. I didn't bought much at the first day we went there but at the second or third day i bought tonnes of stuff! things are rather cheap and trendy but not much of summer clothing cuz its still winter there. Anyway, consider us lucky as we manage to grab lotsa items back! ^^

THIS IS THE FAMOUS TAIWAN SAUSAGE!! ShihLin Taiwan Sausage to be exact. its really really yummy but kinda pricey. I WANT TO EAT THIS NOW CAN?! T_T

the uber famous chicken cutlet! taste really good and its really cheap u know?! for that 1 big piece only TWD50-60! approx MYR5-6.

fried oyster aka oh chian. very yummy also haha

and yes we have shaved ice during the winter. texture is really soft and filled with sweetness!!

fruits looks really tempting there but we've been warned not to buy any from there as the price cuts throats. lol

and here we are queuing up for the chicken cutlet again before we left. this is another branch which located outside the market. just look at the line!! O_O how can everyone line up so patiently to buy chicken cutlets har?? I think if in Malaysia, the only thing people will line up patiently is when buying movie tix or getting free food. lol

FINALLY..... the best thing i've ever had/eaten in Taiwan is.............

THIS!!!
its some minced pork rice aka  滷肉飯 in chinese! I googled to get those words in chinese though.. haha
surprisingly, of all food i've tried (not that i've tried a lot of different foodies, lololol) this is the yummiest food ever!! I had this bowl of rice for breakfast few days and I dont mind eating it everyday as well. haha AND ITS ONLY TWD25. Approx MYR 2.50!! so cheap I can die!!

At first I thought eww... this bowl of rice looks so mehhh... how to finish it with such little amount of pork 'sprinkled' on the top??!! but then again I saw Munyee and her bro started to mix everything and I followed. Still it doesnt changed my perception towards that bowl of rice. HAHA THEN I HAD MY FIRST BITE and the rest was history........................lolllllll okay i kinda exaggerated a tad bit here. still i very like!!

okay, so I stop here now. Gonna go sleep and hopefully I come back to blogging soon or maybe a month later.. haha who knows right? anyway thank you for reading! chiao~
