What happens when you stopping watching you kid for two minutes while shopping

What happens when you stopping watching you kid for two minutes while shopping at Ikea. At least my Goldilocks/Makayla took her shoes off first before getting in.

Dance Parties Rock!

Not all, but a lot of my "good" thinking happens in the middle of the night or early morning when I am feeding my little girls. The other night as my little miss was sucking down the last of her milk I was remembering the summer that my mom flew me out to Utah when I was like 10 to spend some time with my cousins. I had a blast those few weeks playing with my Aunt Julie and her three daughters! I remember Aunt Julie turning on dance music and having me and the two younger cousins follow her around the house in a circle mimicking her dance moves. Oh, the fun and the giggles! I can not wait to do that with my daughters! I have already decided that one of the song we must groove to is this:

This morning Miss Madelyn P and I were the only ones awake and were having a little tummy time on the floor. There was a shinny object near her that she wanted SO badly! As I sat and watched her struggle to reach it I just wanted to pick it up and give it to her, but at the same time let her continue to struggle so she would learn and get stronger. I realized then that is how Heavenly Father must feel when he sees us go through the struggles of life. Oh, how easy it would be for him to just fix some things and help us out, but oh, how much stronger and better we become going through them. I have no doubt that parenting and having a family serves its purpose in teaching us to become more like him!

Lost without LOST

The season and show finale of LOST was last night. Lets face it, I am already feeling lost knowing that not all of my questions will ever be answered and the amazing show that I watched for the last six years is over. I feel like I am ending a chapter in my life. I can't tell you how many dreams I had last night trying to make sense of everything. In the beginning of May I went on a little Hawaiian trip with two of my best friends. (Yes, I had the babies by then, and yes I am a bad mother for abandoning them for five days. If it sounds any better, the trip was originally nine days but I cut it down to five knowing I couldn't be away from my girls that long.) Anyway, I spent my five peaceful days on the island of Oahu, which also happens to be the same island that LOST is filmed on. I found a LOST scene site tour company and booked a spot for me, myself, and I which was embarrassing, but there was no way I was going to miss out on this opportunity! Can I just tell you that the beaches, the sun, the sleep-full nights, and being with two of my favorite people in the world was amazing, but this 2 hour tour was the highlight of my year (next to becoming a mother). In honor of last nights show, and the end of good television as we know it, I thought I would post some of the pictures from my tour. Enjoy!
