1st Update after 4 years

Mommy not being updating the blog for too long...

I will be 13 years old this year... Time flies and I am growing up to be a more sensible young man.

Mommy don't nag me as much as last time and I am appreciating that.

I am helping up on cooking rice for the family, take care of my sister when my parents are away and also help to clean the plates after dinner and other housework.

Recently I just learning how to put water to boil.  It was kind of scary but my parents insist that is time for me to learn how to handle it.

I am in HCI now,  is very far from home as I need 1 hr to reach home but I am totally fine with friends going home with me daily.  My initial plan is to go DHS but mommy don't like to location.  She is 1 scary cat, HCI is next to MRT station so she tot is an ideal location, not to know that the one next to MRT is actually their JC -.-"

Today is my last paper - I am having history final paper today, and I told them I need to study yesterday after dinner.  Mommy was kind of impressed.  She is looking forward to a child who can self motivate and I am transforming to one.

I still very into game but I only play during weekend, she is not so harsh on me playing game as compared to last time as she know that I am getting a little bit more discipline now.

I didn't do well for My Maths the 1st time

Today is the day I brought back my Math Exam paper.  A subject that I am always confident.  I was shocked I didn't do well, a lot of marks get deducted because I am using working to derive the answer without using a calculator.  Because I only know I can use a calculator 15 mins before ending of the exam.  Which also mean I do not have time to check.

I lost about 19 marks, daddy was unhappy with my result and he said my hand writing was too messy.  So I was asked to redo the whole paper again.

Mommy felt that I am really in a terrible condition during the exam.  She even told daddy that he should be proud of  his son without using the calculator, he is able to pass his paper.  Do note that there are 50% failure and some F9.

I also told mommy that I cannot show my sadness and disappointment at the point of time.  Although I really felt like crying but there were people who scored even poorer than me.

My friend also tot that I am a warrior because the paper is really not easy.

1 question I told her is square root of 10... how to calculate base on working.

I promised myself this will be 1 and only time, lesson learnt.  I will do better next time!

My 6 choices of Secondary School

After a lot of consideration, I decided to put HCI as my first choice because I told mommy that I do not want to take chinese in JC or I just want to take chinese for 4 years.

My 6 choices :- HCI, DHS, CHS, NCHS, NJC and RI my last choice.

After posting day, I realised I can go any school in Singapore including RI.

My KS mother wanted to go book shop on the day before reporting day and that's a good strategy.  Not crowded the day before but on the reporting day book shop was crowded with people.

I am very happy to see many friends from my school choosing HCI as their 1st choice. Mommy was released too.

We will be going holiday 2 days later.

Time to chill.

PSLE Result Releasing Day

Not sleeping well last night as today will be PSLE result releasing day.  

Justen wake up early to play game and we are ready to go to his school to get his result.

I was telling him, I get my own result also not so stress.

Before resulting releasing, they flash out on pupils who get more than 250, hubby shouted Justen is in there.

Justen was disappointed initially as he look for H and couldn't find his name. His friend telling him that he is 1 of the 250+ students.

Mommy was tearing and he jump with joy when receiving his result and ran to us he is making us all proud, he had a total T score of 259 + 2, A* for Science and Maths and A for language.  Merit for his HCL.

His HCL teacher was surprised with his result and we all are very happy about it.

He went home and play game after result receiving as many pupils crying in the hall and we need to leave the place quickly.

Coming back from school, I ask my hb to settle the happy issue that he mentioned before result releasing.

He using his Data Analytic skill choose DHS but hor his data was not correct.  HCI is actually more convenience.

P6 Graduation

Time Flies my boy is graduating from his primary school few weeks later will be result releasing day, stress...

PSLE 1st paper - English

I am recovering well from my fever, many dosage of medication made me very tired.

Today is PSLE 1st paper, while finished writing my last work on the compo, I realised that I didn't write on 1st page of the booklet.  I was so panic and start transferring the note.  An examiner saw that I was struggling  and walk to me, she is so nice and ask me to cross that page, due to take I didn't check my compo.

I told mommy I felt asleep doing the 2nd paper.  She thought is due to the medication that causes me to be drowsy.

She instructed Daddy to fetch me after exam as she worrying I might do something silly if I didn't do well.

Mommy is forever paranoid.  I am actually very fine.

3 Days before PSLE

I woke up having a fever, as 3 days later I will be having my PSLE exam, mommy took leave to bring me to clinic.  I was subscribed with Burfen an high fever medicine. I took it and after short nap mommy realised that my whole face was swollen.  Then we know that I am allergy to this medicine.

I was given 3 days MC to rest, everyone in school were very worry.

Even my sister asked teacher what if I cannot attend the exam?

Therefore teachers also worrying.

Mommy bosses are very nice to let her took leave to take care of me.  I had enough rest during that 3 days and I am ready for the primary school leave exam (PSLE).

During the rest I sleep a lot and didn't really study, what mommy hoping is just that I can recover and she is expecting the least from me.

Don't know to laugh or angry but my boy Chinese really make my day.

Chingay 2014

Chair Person

My boy is dominated by his form teacher to be a Chair Person.

He said he just want to be a normal person but end of the day he still need to be selected.

I am happy for him as even he is transfer to another school, his teacher still feel that he is capable to do extra task compare to the rest of the 42 students.

Oh btw his class are full of girls with a ratio of 33:10...

I am not surprise as girls are normally relatively more matured and hardworking than boy.

Transferring to Nan Chiau Primary School

We submitted his result to NC and MT on the same day when we received his result.  NC called me on the next morning 7.30am.  I am gladded to know that he is selected for the transfer.  Wanted to wait for MT replied but they mentioned to me that their selection is closed as I submitted the result too late...  Initially hubby wanted very must to go MT as it is nearer to our house.  I prefer NC for their Chinese culture but worry about the distance.  Since my GOD choose for me, I knock off early the same day to collect a form from NC for the transfer which I need to proceed to RSS the next day to complete the transferring of school.

I felt very sad to say goodbye to RSS as she is my old school and I am always happy that my son study in a school same as mine but due to the travelling distance which is more than 1hr we have to choose a place nearer to home.  NC is a good choice as I realize that I won't get wet from the school back home by bus.  Isn't it great!  Furthermore is only 6 bus stop away from home.

I am happy for him as we met our old friend Yan's family, his son De Wei is also studying in NC.

Daniel, Justen's K2 classmate is studying in NC too.

He should be adapting to the new school soon after 2014.

Hope that is a right choice for us.

P2 Performance 2013

Justen is still as hardworking as before...

Getting band 1 for all his subjects.

He came home with his result and was quite worry that I would be disappointed with his performance.

As he don't get to go for RSS year end prize giving ceremony.  They only give prizes for the Top 10 in standard.

I am not disappointed at all, he is 3rd in class and 12th in standard.  A very good result although he need to be a prefect, joining art club on Thursday and help up in the AV club on Tuesday.

Mommy is very proud of you.

P2 Year End Exam

Mommy is giving a little stress to little boy, as she need his help to make it to Mee Toh.

Paper 1 - Compo, Mommy got to ask the little boy to write a compo and correct on his usual mistake and also on consistency.  Reading other people compo gave little boy a better idea what suppose to be delivered.

Oral and Listening Comprehension - Mommy got a bit nervous when she realize that Chinese Oral will take up 30% of the total SA, little boy don't speak very well in Chinese so mommy requested him to look at pictures and do the relation during the last weekend before his exam.  Little boy come back with confident saying that he felt that he did better for his Chinese Oral.  End result is satisfactory, he got 18/20 for Chinese and 15/15 for English.

Paper 2 - Little boy is given lot of pass year paper to do during the last 2 weeks of Exam.  He don't really enjoy but he is accommodating.  Daddy and Mommy mark for him and pick up little problem he is facing.  The greatest problem he is facing is carelessness.  If little boy can overcome it he should do well for the papers.

After exam mommy is anxious for his result.  He didn't fail our expectation.  He got 99/100 for Mathematics, 91.5 for English and 90 for Chinese.

Submitting his result to Mee Toh and Nan Chiau waiting for them to get back to us whether will he be selected for the transferring.

Goodbye Grandpa!

This is the last picture we took with Gong Gong... He left us on 21st Mar 2013.

He is not being very well for awhile.  Saying goodbye to him might be sad but is a way to release his pain as well as is Po Po relief who is his care giver for the last 6mths.

Prefect

Justen is domindated to be a Prefect.  His duty is on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  He need to stand near a staircase and inform pupils who is running around there.

 

He told me is a boring task.  I asked him if he sees a kid roll down the staircase what will he do.  His immediate response is to ask the kid don't roll -.-"

 

I told him that his job is to ensure there is no accident happened near his area, if there is any he ask to quickly inform the teacher.

SAHM for a week

I took a week leave to keep accompany my kids while my MIL went for Holiday, I really enjoy so much during that few days.

Prize Giving Ceremony 2012

We are invited to the Prize giving ceremony.  Rayen Enjoy the dancing a lot.

He is 3rd in class and 8th in standard.  No bad after all but just the start of the race no one will know what will be going to happen next.  Just keep on the pace you should be doing fine... 8)

Math Quiz 2012

I was selected for P1 Math Quiz Competition 2012, during the 1st quiz I will call for Dental Checkup so I didn't attend, I was so disappointed.  I was so lucky that there were 2 sessions and I was selected for the final round.

We answered 10 questions but P1 Leadership answered 11 questions so we are runner up for the Maths Quiz.

I was rewarded with a box of Oil Pastel.  I am a bit disappointed but mommy say she only got a box of color pencil during a lucky draw when she is in RSS.  I should be happy with my result le...

Signing on my paper

I did something really bad 1 day, I forget to ask mommy to sign on 1 of my file, I was very panic...

I copied mommy signature, I felt so bad after doing it.

I told Teacher Alia about it, she was not angry with me, and she is happy that I admit my mistake.

I felt so released... I also told mommy about it.  She didn't scold me too.  She just want me to triple check my work before she go off...

Daddy brought my bag to work

Daddy was having some event in office, he drove his car to work...

I was panic, my bag was with him 8(

I was worry, I do not want to go to school.  My teacher will surely angry and she will be mad about it.  I am going to stay at home.  I started crying!!!

Mommy say is not my fault, lets face it and she dragged me to the bus stop.  I keep crying, my teacher is really very fierce.

We reached CDAC my tuition centre.  Mommy got the book from Jaden, requested adminstrative uncle to print a copy for me and she told the teacher about it.

Teacher is very proud of me, she say I face the problem and solved it.

I am happy too...

I learnt my lesson if I have a problem I should face it but never hide it.

Justen is having a lot of challenges in school...

He is being selected to be the discipline monitor :- mean he himself got to discipline himself, so some of the time he will vend the anger at home.  He is unable to control the noise level in class yet.  Is a very challenging task indeed...

He joined AV club :- his job is to on power supply and on mic on every Tuesday afternoon and evening.  He said is a boring task, so they are playing mathematics games to kill time.

He is selected to take part in SYF - Singapore Youth Festival, he will be start drawing on a canvas with a group of selected pupils for the art competition.  Mommy is proud of him.

He is chosen to be sitting with a Challenging kid.  He said that he changed him but mommy is also very worry.  Daddy say he has to learn to ignore if he don't like to be disturb.  Let see how is goes.

He is doing pretty well in school.  All subjects he is maintaining around 90+.  Still my little hearty baby 8)

Bye Bye my 5th Tooth

Justen : I drop my 5th tooth when I am eating an apple. I put it under the pillow, the next day it is still there. I think tooth fairy is not able to collect it as all windows are closed. So no entrance for her. 2nd nite I place it under my pillow again. I checked before I sleep, I realise it is gone. I am so sad, I cried and fallen asleep. Rayen told me maybe tooth fairy took it. Yes she is right 2nd day I found a S$1 under my pillow 8)

Spelling

I think Justen will never forget how to spell this word. Is his 1st mistake made during his P1 spelling...

Normally I will give him spelling before he look thru them.

He will check and mark for himself.

I normally don't check.

If there are any mistake he will do correction and following by 1 more round of testing.

He didn't spot his mistake this time, I didn't check so he didn't get it right eventually.

He said is my fault. I think is a good lesson learnt.

Is being awhile I didn't update the blog. Both kids will request to look thru pic and stories when they are young. Think I need to carry on updating. So that they are able to see thru their life and know how much their parents love them with these blogs 8)

1st Swimming Competition

Waking up early today. Getting ready for my 1st competition for swimming at Hougang swimming complex. All ready to jump in and climb to the float. Oh I tot I am here for it leh.

I did well during my race, didn't manage to get any trophy but I finish the race and was having lot of full.
