my BIRTHDAY today

Hi! so today I celebrated my 47th birthday.  I remember thinking, 30 was "old" once upon a time, oddly enough 47 is NOT old at all!!  I had a great day, even though I had to go into work!!    But I had a good day at work...Krystal bought me a coffee first thing in the am and contact lens drops lol See the thing is that for the first time in EVER I am "TRYING" to wear contact lens.  NOT fun, my eyes were dry all day and in some kind of pain or other. BUT over all I'm glad that I WILL eventually get used to them...moving on...later that day, my boss took me to eat.  SHRIMP yumm...at our local "Shrimp Basket" restaurant.  Then I came home to BRANDI (my baby girl) --who came over to baked me brownies in a cup! The darnest thing. she has this set of oven/cook ware ... see the photos below.  too cool... you pour the mix into the cow cups, and stick in the oven...then presto...brownies in a cup!!!  IT was awesome! the perfect ending!

Preparing you all for the upcomin VALENTINES DAY HOP!

HI ALL!!! Ok so I did a mini tutorial on a baggie I will be using for our upcoming blog hop! All the cubs are busy creating their own bags, or altering store bought bags!  The hop is coming up on Feb 9th! I can't wait to see what everyone creates.  In this video, I comment how YOU can do a video respose showing me your Valentines decorated baggie,  to get a chance to win some lace... SAVE THE DATE blog hop!

Hi!!!  Welcome to 2013!!! What better way to start the year,  than with a cute calender to pencil in upcoming project due dates!
Sure feels like for EVER since I last pulled an all nighter creating!! I enjoyed crafting again, even if I had to stay up till after 7am to complete it! Yeap, I procrastinated my self into a corner!  It was due or fail and there is no failing in this house!..sooo I finally completed my project a lil' bit after 3am. But then there was the video...the editing, the pictures, the blog, and can't forget facebook...oh my! lol Now with all that done, I can't wait to go see what the cubs created!   We have been shredding paper, gnawing on ribbon and playing with flowers trying to get our 2013 Calendars complete! Would love it if you would pounce over to everyone's blog and check out the different style Calendars  the baby cubs created!
After you check out MY  calendar, would sure appreciate if you would pounce on over to Krystals blog, she had A "WHOOT' of a time creating her calendar...(wink).

So do you have a calendar yet??? a pretty one? one you created??? I sure hope we inspired you to create one you can show off on your desk at work or give away as a gift!
OK now,  let me show you what I created...
It stands tall at 8" and has all sorts of flowers, bling and purdy Martha Stewart paper punch designs! Love it! I'm taking this in to work with me Monday to put on my desk!! It turned out pretty sturdy.  Who wants a tutorial??? give me a shout out...watch the video, it has more pictures and I show you how it works! CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT hop!

Hello!!! Can you all believe Christmas is here! OMG!!! 2012 flew right past me!  I LOVE, LOVE this time of the year though. Especially here in Florida.  Today the weather was awesome...at 70 degrees, you can't go wrong! We have all the pretty colors of fall, and we've had some cold night, but nothing uncomfortable "yet", so I'm enjoying it since i HATE, hate cold weather!

But ...now to this hop.  12 opportunities for you to be ornament inspired! The Pride of Just a Few Friends, has been soo busy, pouncing to create that ONE special Ornament.  You should see our dens, covered in glitter, ribbon and paper! In my case, my den is covered in sequence!! I chose to create THE one ornament, I'm gonna wanna keep for ever, mainly cause it took FOREVER to make! lol OMG...i didn't anticipate the time this would take, but now that it's done, I love it! All the 600 pins and sequences I used, makes this ornament heavy. Almost feels like it's made from a solid ball, when indeed it's made from a light Styrofoam ball.

I liked working on this so much I made 2 ornaments, totally different from each other, but equally fun to make!

Justa Few Friends THANKSGIVING decor Hop!

ROARRR everyone! How are you all??  I am excited the holidays are here!  Thanksgiving is always fun for us cause we get to eat all day, nap...eat again...watch some tv...sleep some more then eat again! lol  ahhh special memories!   So  Kimi, the other Alpha, hosted this hop...she challenged us in the den, (we are now 11!!!) to create a Fall Themed / Thanksgiving home decor item.  It "almost'' stumped me! but after sitting in my den, wondering What  was gonna create or alter, out of the corner of my eye, I saw it.  A sad little basket that was almost thrown away 2 weeks ago!! I've had it for years and now it's going to sit, front and center. on the buffet table!! take a look at what I made...its really simple...really easy...and was really fun.

I've had this old basket for ever! and now  it's time to breath some life into it...

Get, lace, trim , beads and your hot glue gun...

I ended up removing the stand of pink beads and adding a different trim...

 

I thought this trim went better with the basket...
This trim came in a RAK from my sweet friend Ceci in Calif!!  Thanks girl!!!

Thanksgiving Feast!!!

oh oh oh...before I forget...Last months blog hop was also so much fun for all of us in the den.  The cubs were challenged to create a slider card.  For most it was the first time to create that type of card.  And they made me very proud...they made awesome Halloween Slider cards! We had to chose 1 as the winner of that challenge.  Needless to say it was not an easy thing to do!!!! lord!! But after several days of going back and forth, the 3 alphas all agreed on one lucky Cub! sooooo LOUD ROARS please....
