Heartfelt Humming Birds have landed...

Yay! It's Wednesday AND it's a new month, so that means  NEW Heartfelt Creations paper, stamps and dies!!! On to-date this is my favorite!!! Krystal, my daughters has always loved Orchids and guess what this month brings your way???  come on...guess!!  ORCHIDS!!!  and the most awesome window die ever. It's a biggen...you will not be disappointed... so looksie what I made for my first project... I turned that window into a humming bird cage lol  Did I mention this collections also has humming birds???   I tell you,,, you all' are gonna love it!!
look.....

Products Used:
HCD1-7102 Regal Hummingbird Die
HCD1-7100 Botanic Window Die
HCD1-7101 Botanic Orchid Die
HCPC-3741 Botanic Orchid Cling Stamp Set
HCPC-3742 Regal Hummingbird Cling Stamp Set

Other products: White card stock, Stickles, 8 inch piece of Pink Floss, 3 glass beads and 2 bead caps, Memento Tuxedo Dye,

First thing I did for this project was to stamp one of the humming birds from the stamp collection on heavy white card stock and color it in with alcohol markers. I used the die to cut the colored in image plus six other, on just blank white card stock. I glued 5 of them together, just to make it really sturdy. Before adhering the 6th humming bird, I sandwiched the pink floss between the last two die cut piece. This gave the humming bird a string to be hung from.
photo 2HummingCage_zpsdtpdiuxj.jpgOnto this floss string a pink glass bead, the bead cap, another glass bead, another bead cap and the last glass bead, I added a tad of hot glue to make sure the beads didn't roll of the floss.
Put this aside...
Now, cut 3 of the Botanical Windows die, there are 3 dies in this set. Use the big die first, leaving the inside solid, then cut 3 of just the 2nd die, the arch, from the designer paper, then cut 3 from the 3rd die, the inside of the window... Layer these so you can see the pretty designer paper through the window bars. (Ain't that just too cute!)  Do this to all 3 windows.
From each side of the scrolled die pieces on each window, add some strong wet glue, I used Tombo glue and I adhere each window together just from the ends. This gives you sorta of a bird cage design.
photo humming bird_zpsqvcr2vde.jpgFrom the bottom up-- run the floss, with the hanging humming bird, and use this to connect the three window tops together.

Be gentle, so you don't beak the delicate paper tops. Now the beaded humming bird is hanging from the bottom part of the Window cage.

Now use the flower cling stamps mentioned above to stamp two of them on the designer paper, that way you won't have to color them in.
Die cut the stamped images, form and shape the flowers.  Adhere these two flowers to the front of one of the windows and add stickles to everything you want glittery. Add some flat pearl beads, a seam binding bow to the top and decorate the bow with some glass beads and you're done.
 photo 1HummingCage_zpsgfdvejdd.jpg

One more thing...I ran some pink floss through one of the top glass beads before I hot glued it to the bow to be able to hand the cage.

Other products used" Stickles, washi tape, Tim Holtz distressed inks in Spun Sugar, Forest Moss, Victorian Velvet, Scattered Straw, Kraft paper, white card stock

This card is a big one measuring 6-3/4" x 6-3/4". Start by creating the card base, cut 2 pieces of Kraft paper with the 6-3/4" Nestabillities die. To attach them, score at half an inch from the top and fold back just a little bit, you just want it to be able to have some flexibility. Add a little glue up to the score line and attach the two pieces together. This will creates your card base. Set it aside.
Using the same 6-3/4" die again, I cut on piece from Kraft paper and one from the Under the Sea paper collection. (Chose a color you like, they are all beautiful!) Next use the 5-3/4" Nestabillities die and cut one from Kraft paper and one from the coordinating designer paper. (The reason for the Kraft paper is to give the card a heftier feeling, since this will be a big card.)
Now stamp, color and die cut the Hibiscus flowers, two of the fish, one seahorse, set of seashells, two of the beautiful boarders from the Regal Border dies and one Lattice doily. Put the flowers together and add a cute center. (For my flowers, I cut them from the designer paper, so I didn't have to color them in, it's an option.)I also cut 3 of the tag images from the paper collection.
Time to assemble your parts. Cover the Kraft paper with its corresponding designing paper and then center the smaller piece onto the card. Tuck the two pretty boarders on either side of the card as seen in the picture. On the top part of the card, tuck in the 3 tags, stagger them so you can see each little tag peeping through. On the left upper hand side, over one of the tags, tuck in the little seahorse. So he looks like he's come out to see what is going on.
photo YTBEST 2_zpso8hwiqys.jpg On the bottom left corner, adhere the Lattice doily and start to arrange your flowers, I used only 2 but I used lots of leafs. I also tucked one of the fish on the top portions of the flower arrangement. (Isn't he cute? He too is looking around.) Stamp your sentiment on a white piece of card stock and I cut the ends to look like a banner and nestled it among the flowers. On the upper right hand corner, using card stock and washi tape in coordinating colors, I cut 3 banner like pieces, adhere them to the card and place the other cute fish over it, facing down looking at the flowers. Adhered this to the card base, stickle "Everything" and you're done. Now go find someone special you can give this to!! Thanks for watching ... stay crafty!

Card with Heartfelt flowers...

It's Wednesday! and know what that means?? It's Heartfelt design project day!
Wanna thank you all again for the sweet comments...and hope you have been super inspired.  I have been in slump lately, too much to do to little time to do it in, but having a project due every week is sure helping me get out of this mojo loss. What is your excuse for not creating? How do you find creative motivation? What is your crafting muse?  Tell me, I'd like to know, maybe you can help me start making YouTube videos again! lol
Ok then...for this weeks project I made a card... you will find the instructions and supplies used below.

Products Used:
HCD1-743 RainDrops on Roses Die
HCPC-3474 Heartfelt Expressions "Have a Beautiful Day"
HCPC-3651 Cling Stamp Botanical Rose
HCD1-758 Botanical Wings Die
HCD1-736 Classic Leaf Die
HCPC-3545 Open Leaf Die
HCPC-3546 Classic Leaf Cling Stamp
HCD1-747 Arrianna Lace (used inside the Card)

photo IMG_0476_zpszer2uvlu.jpgOther products:black, white and cream card stock, Memento dye ink pad in Tuxedo Black. (used for all the stamped images), ek success paper punch, 6 glass beads, Martha Steward glittered glue in Limeade and Cotton Candy, spellbinder S6-004 Detailed Scallops die, 1 golden butterfly button, Tim Holtz distressed inks in Spun Sugar, Forest Moss, Victorian Velvet, Scattered Straw.

Fold a  piece of 5.5" X 7" black card stock  in half ... this creates your card base. Using the Spellbinder mentioned above and use the bigger of the dies in the set. This will be the face of the card.

photo IMG_0477_zpsgfc2b31r.jpgFrom the RainDrops rose die, cut a pair of intricate hearts nestled amidst elegant swirls from the cream card stock and 1 of the delicate lattice work doily from a piece of white card stock... adhere the cream die cuts on either side of the black card face. Now, over this, layer the white lattice work doily in the center of the card.

Now, for flower making.  Stamp, color and die cut the flowers, layer as many petals as you see fit, I used two petals per flower to give them some texture. The leafs cut as many as you think you will need. I like my project with lots of green so I used 5 sets of the leaf branches.

Stamp the sentiment on cream card stock and punch it out using the ek Success paper punch, "Journal Plate."  With the distressed inks in Spun Sugar, shade the edges.

Arrange the flowers on the card arranging them on bottom and top corners of the card and tuck the sentiment in the center of the card, among the flowers.

For the inside of the card with the cream card stock cut a 3 1/4" X 5 1/4" piece and adhere to the inside of the card. Use the Arrianna Lace die cut and a layer over it one of the flower petals. Keep it simple and flat and leave enough space to write a little something special later on.
This is the inside of the card... pretty simple eh?
What you think?  Thank you so much for visiting...
and if you have a minute hope on over to the Heartfelt Blog
and check out the amazing talent!!
 (It truly  humbles me!)
I hope you all enjoy the rest of the week...

Designer Paper Collection - Under the Sea Collection-Life really is better at the seaside.

Other products used, Clear Stickles, Spiced Marmalade and Bundled Sage Distress Inks by Tim Holtz, Black and white card stock, while gel ink pen, foam tape, teal glass beads.

1. Start with a piece of cardstock measuring 8" x 5".  Lay it long wise on your scoreboard and score at 2" and 4".  Make mountain folds along each score line to create your basic easel card base.
2. Stamp, color and die cut the flowers. I layers two flower petals to create my dimensional flowers, they are finished with Stickles and glass matching beads for the centers. In the same fashion, stamp, color and die cute the leaves or as an alternate to coloring you can always stamp them on green colored cardstock.
3. From the Stamp set, on a 3" x 1" piece of white cardstock, I stamped the sentiment,  "Life with you is finstatic" and cut it banner shape.
photo 2 Easel Fintsatic Card_zps8nimg3l8.jpg4. From the beautiful paper collection I cut two pre printed tags and layered them on black cardstock - cut to size. Also, cut three of the pre printed fish stamp designs from the paper collection and set aside.
5. To make the card panel, cut following pieces from the paper collection:
         a 4" x 5" piece of designer paper,  a 3 3/4" x 4 3/4" of black card stock, and a 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" piece of designer paper
Layer them by placing the bigger piece on the bottom giving it a framed look. (all this separate pieces of paper will make for a really sturdy card.)
Secure this panel to the front of the card, adding adhesive only to the bottom sections.
6. After everything is layered its time to add the embellishments.
Adhere the two matted tags allowing enough space to add the fish stamps over to the right of the tags. Now, arrange the flowers and leaves on the left side of the card allowing the bottoms images to show through. Among the flowers tuck the stamped banner you created earlier.
photo IMG_7263_pe_zpsqlpeiafn.jpg7. Add stitching to the black cardstock both on the bottom and top portion of the card with the while gel pen.
8. For the bottom part of the card, cut a 3 3/4" x 4 3/4" piece of designer cardstock and embellish with a flower and adhere one of the fish stamp pieces with foam tape to give it some height so it will hold the easel part of the card open.
9. The entire card is then made sparkly with Clear Glittered Sparkles.

Under the Sea Collection... beautiful papers!

Hello! It has been a whirlwind on my end, how are you all doing?  I spent the last 2 weeks in California visiting family and it drained me! But nothing makes me feel better than losing myself in the beautiful papers, stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations.  This month we are showcasing the Under the Sea Collection. These papers are colorful, fun and full of fish, shells, jellyfish images and more.  I created this box from scratch, but you can use any box you have laying around, just cover it with beautiful papers and embellish.   I hope to inspire you to create... and when you have the chance

Other products used, paper box, Stickles, Washi Tape, Alcohol Markers in colors of your choice, I used lavender and gold for the seahorse and Mauve for the flowers, black cardstock, Memento dye ink pad in Tuxedo Black. (used for all the stamped images)

Hello, this was a very fun project to create. I used a hand made box but you can use any paper mache' box you have.
First, I covered the box inside and out using the Under the Sea Designer Paper Collection and used washi tape on the box and the lid to cover the raw edges and give the box a finished looked.

Second I stampped 2 sets the beautiful Hibiscus flowers using the cling stamps. Colored the images in using alcohol markers before using the Hibiscus dies. Once the flowers were die cut, I layered them and finished them with gold and diamond Stickles. At this time, I also stamped, colored and die cut the cute Sea Horse. I set this aside until the box was ready to embellish.

On the lid, I used an image from the Under the Sea paper collection. The one I chose reads, "There is only one like you." I cut it to fit the box lid and layered it on black cardstock.

Once everything was ready, I glued the flowers around the base of the lid making sure I didn't cover too much of the image. To finish the look, I fussy cut a couple of the small tags from the designer paper collection and tucked them under the layered image on the right hand corner. At this time, the cute little Sea Horse was tucked beneath the flowers right over the bigger Sea Horse pre-printed image, to give it a 3d effect. Once the box was done, the entire image and flowers were made sparkly with Stickles. (The Stickles did not photograph really well, but the box sparkles beautifully.) Have fun creating!

"POP UP CARD BOX"

 photo popcardbox2.jpg

Hello everyone... so guess what!?!?!? I made the HEART FELT DESIGN TEAM!!! I am so excited and can't wait to show you all the goodies they sent me... It's been hard keeping this a secret. I don't try out for many Designs Teams, but had always dreamed of belonging to the Heart Felt Design team because I just adore their stamps, paper and dies, but ohh I just love the flowers!

Below, is one of the projects I submitted for the finals. Hope it inspires you to create... I will be doing a video tutorial on this Pop Up Car Box soon...

 photo popcardbox1.jpgProducts Used:
Winking Frog Paper Collection one 12 x 12 sheet of paper used.
Coordinating patterned paper to add to each panel of the card
Classic Leaf Stamp HCPC-3546
Classic Leaf Die HCDI-736

Hello, for this pop-up box card, I started with a 12x12 sheet of cardstock from the Winking Frog Collection.
Cut the sheet down to 7 x 11 and scored on the long side at 2.5", 5", 7.5", 10".
This will leave a 1 inch piece at the far end of the box.
Turn the sheet of paper counter clock wise and score at 3" from the top, leaving the last panel un-scored.
Cut down 3 inches from the top to the score line of each of the 4 perpendicular score lines.
At the 10" score mark, cut in at an angle up from the edge of the cards tock to remove the excess and create a tab, this will create the hinge needed to make the box.

Cut 2 strips 5" inches long and score each end at 1" inch.
These will be the strips you adhere to the inside of the box, they are the areas where you will adhere your decorations, in my case, where the frog-ies are all gathered to have fun.
Before you put the box together, decorate both side, and all box flaps with papers from the collection.
This paper is a fussy cutter's dream!! I used different sheets from the Winking Frog Paper collection to fussy cut as many frogs and mushrooms as you need. This paper is fantastic for this sort of creating.

Once box is covered, put box together making sure the hinge is glued to the inside of the box. Apply adhesive to the end tabs of the 1" x 5" strips, and adhere them to the inside of the opened box, aligning them with the top of the opening. Turning both tabs toward the outside front or back of the box will help ensure straight placement.
Now the fun starts, adhere all the fussy cut images you're using, or anything you have die cut or stamped to these strips.
Stamp, color and die cut the swirly leaf using the Classic Leaf stamp and Die and adhere it to the front flap. Using a piece of solid piece of card stock cut it into a banner and adhere one of the sayings you cut from the paper collection.

I hope you have creating...and as always...
