These days all I do is photo dump here, but I'll be happy I did someday! So no apologies. :)
Joshua's pediatrician told us about six months ago that he needed to see an eye doctor. He said his vision was fine and I'm a procrastinator, so I put it off for a long time. He wasn't doing very well in school, so I told his teacher I would look into his eyesight. Took him to the eye doctor a few weeks ago and sure enough, doc said he needs glasses full time. Josh was excited about the idea until we got to the store to buy them. He refused to even put a pair on his face to check it out. We went home and he told me he thinks he looks silly so he's worried the glasses will make him look even more silly. I took out a photo album and showed him pictures of me from the time I was a baby up until I was thirteen. I told him how I got my glasses in the third grade and there were things I didn't even know I was missing. He said he'd think about it. After a week or so, we went to Shopko to pick some out and he said he was ready. I let him choose completely on his own based on what he loved, and he narrowed it down from six pairs to one. After we told the lady which one we wanted, we found out the name of the glasses was "Ninja". It was fate.

In other family news, my brother Jon's wife Heather had their baby! My new nephew's name is Logan and I LOVE his tiny-ness! He's so beautiful.

After grocery shopping tonight I went to put the cart away and Josh said, "I'll put the cart away, Mom!" He is so grown up lately. |
