UPDATEE

hi people.
i know this place has been neglected for like, 2 months?
not that im unaware, just been...lazy/couldnt be bothered/pre-occupied with other stuff to update.

but its a new year, so i cant um, delay this thing forever can i. =D so im back!
unfortunately due to the lack of time i cant post much today. i do have quite abit to say, but i guess i'll have to leave it to another day. =(


hmm yesterday was raffles trail. was one of the ICs for the event (for NPCC).
it uh, got off to a not so ok start. had some logistics missing, had to ask shude to go J8 and buy on the day itself.
btw the only sec4s there were me, wayne, shude and alasdair. quite sad really, other ccas like scouts have like one million ppl or something. =/
took 2 trips to and from the CO room to get all the stuff we needed in their places.

then sec3s started coming in, got them ready and all.
got shaun from sec3 to be the uh, speaker. XD
if u know who he is then u know what i mean. hehe.

i suppose it was ok generally. got him to talk about NPCC stuff, later improvised by telling him to introduce the stuff on display. which i believe IS more interesting. shude was taking the sec3 squad for a lil drill demonstration, lol. and i suppose
sec1s, being sec1s, are quite impressed with our um, "show". sometimes got abit of applause, lol.
can i also comment that the sec3s drills seem far more coordinated then our squad's. or maybe its just me. *shrugs*
then i was forced to go j8 and buy lunch. dam.
came back, quickly chiong eat cos scared kena discovered by teachers/prefects/sec1s or something. it was real lucky that the project room's glass panel/window was covered by the 02 scouts' flag thingy. =DDD
then i went to uh relive shude of his commanding duties. lol.

finally reached 4.30. shude n wayne brought the sec3s down for their atrium performance. me n alasdair stayed behind to guard the booth. alasdair went to play age of empires, which seemed...boring. anw shihee suddenly came in, almost randomly, for like 5mins. diao.
sec3s came back, seemed performance was not bad. heng =)

it was supposed to be parents session at 5. apparently i was wrong. only realised now parents session started only at 6.30+, which is like 1.5hrs later then i said it was. XD
sec3s were dam bored, doing stupid things like using batons to play pseudo-softball? with a paper ball as the ball. chao lame -.-"
and we kinda uh, screwed around with them? had fun pumping shawn XD, and some other guy, was it yu jun? for saying stupid things like "justin is a parent!" nice one.

at like 6.30+, FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY, parents started appearing. like wth, some wait. realised ppl werent coming in, so decided to copy the scouts next door, send some ppl out to grab "customers". and it um, kinda worked for some people, not so much for others. they were like "we walk around first" DIAO. u walk around for what, obviously go in and visit some booth right. dunwan visit say dunwan la. no need make up excuse de lor. =/
anyway as the time went by we got more people la. which is a good thing.
went to attend to people and such. got a little overwhelmed sometimes, needed a couple of sec3s to help attend to ppl. lol.
and it was not bad la, talking to parents. tried to get their interest in things like cca points or such. XD cos i know thats what they want to know! duh.

ended at like 8, cleared things to the CO room, then zao-ed home. in taxi =D hehex.

so it was not bad la, the whole event. quite satisfying, looking at the stuff that we've managed to do. guess its one of those things that make me feel worthwhile spending my time on. yeaaaa.
