update

hi just updating since..i havent updated for awhile.

last week/few days have been slack enough. basically its no lessons, just the respective teachers coming to show video/movie/give free period/heck care. ya, so it was dammmmmmm slack.
hmm what i can think of ppl playing are:
-rubiks cube
-CHESS
-cards? only today then started lol. well, if ur not counting yugioh cards that is ><
-handphone games, quite popular i think. only lose to chess, or maybe not.
-or just plain randoming around -.-

lalala and today chong didnt come for chem lesson lolx. supposed to be lecture at LT on ionic eqns (wth after eoy still teach redox topic arh? spas.), but turns out no LT was opened/available. so zao back classroom slack for a good 40mins.
oh ya btw chong said he was gng for...his wedding photoshoot XD not sure if i heard wrong the first time, but nvm.

oh another "big" thing that happened the last week was that weizhong's wallet was stolen. =( suspect was imran apparently, being seen with 2 wallets by junying and all, but i think its not sure as to whether he DID steal it or not. anyway, at least weizhong got it back now =) the guailan guy, whoever it was, dumped it at uh, bedok police station. diaoz. items intact? still duno yet. weizhong hasnt collected it.

last friday was also the first official training that our squad was holding ever since POP. uh...guess it went quite well. but this is only the first training anyway, whether the future ones will still be like this its too early to say =/

OH YA, did i mention that during the very same training, during soccer to be more specific, i got OWNED. by? a bloody soccer ball. tmd, some sec1 guy kick kick kick, then decided my face (or the direction my face was in) was a nice place to shoot, so there the ball went.
BAM.
smack right at my face. what the efff.
oh did i mention the ball wasnt even 1m away from me. at most 1m perhaps, and thats bad enough.
got owned quite badly, 1 streak and 1 patch(or sth like that) on my face now, for those who've seen it =((((
as mr tanhaoqin would say: i look like some fei. seems quite appriopriate.
felt like fragging that sec1 bad......

mmm. NHB test today wasnt a free frag...unlike speculation. but hopefully with all the discussion spammage and the notes i very luckily happened to bring along, it might be one =/

the week after hols got promotion test. sweet, since i passed sgt successfully i'll have the honor of taking squads for promo test!! whoo, swee. and guess what, they're going to get a nice surprise from me =) what is it? oh u'll see.

and i do notice ppl are updating less often after eoys. not sure why though.

anyway, quite a few things happened for the past...week. btw since my posts do always seem to be long, u can bet this one will be long too. just fyi.

well, post-exam activities werent exactly very exciting/captivating...
weds was NE survey and arts/music exposure programme (zz). lol NE survey was dam diao, i chiong all the qns first, didnt build anything at all. then realised my score was dam low. jack lor, so i remake =)
the AEP/MEP was...average. as in really, nothing really special but i guess it didnt exactly turn me off either. wa den got this performance by some rjc year1 guy called walter...knew him in sec1 in rp but nvm, tis just trivia. anyway, his performance was...hai for those who also know, u can rate for urself right, no need me elaborate.

thurs most screwed i think. soccer all the way. like wth, sibei sian, ended up stoning for most of the time. then got DISC personality thing, go thru all the diff personality etc. suppose u could call it interesting at the very least. wanted to play badminton after recess, since we saw many ppl doing so. but then christopher go and lag...in the end when we change and go there mr romi was already keeping all the rackets le =((((
oh ya so nth to do right? 11.30 sia, got 3rd lang at 2.30. so went to play cards with pohsia and his frens till 1.30 =D sibei fun
3rd lang was postexam movie lor. title goes by...radio time? or something, my jap translation not exactly pro la. ラジオの時間...hmm.

it started out being super sian and confusing, being a radio-related movie. alot of ??? kept popping out and i fell asleep one time, being half asleep many other times. i guess this movie is the kind where at first its boring, but it gets better and better as it develops. yup, basically the movie is about this person who wrote a radio play, and portrays the radio station ppl or something trying to act/play it out

haha the trouble started when one of the "actors" (since its radio and not tv, not really acting) come guailan, insist changing his name in the play to some american name instead of jap. then alot of complications rose subsequently, cos they had to make sure the context details everything fit in appropriately. lol, then they had to go and find some sound effects old man to help them create sound (they didnt use imba technology or whatever to play those sounds). dam funny lor.
lala and of course theres always the happy ending for all. despite the climaxes which always suggest otherwise (otherwise not nice what =D)

and i guess with every movie theres always the lesson/moral/idea behind it. this one could be, as quoted:
"even if you produce a bad piece of work, you'll still admit that it is your work, because you did it."
hm doesnt seem like a moral at all. but nvm. this sentence sounds chim and nice.


friday....watched billy elliot zz. hoon let us watch before so it wasnt anything new. and the movie wasnt much of interest to me either, sadly. but got a lot of um, parts which were seemingly "sick", whether it was simply due to the many students' wild imagination or it was meant that way in the movie (which i really doubt), i dont know XD
then they went through possible RE topics for next year...t'was lucky that i went, cos now i have to start thinking about RE. unfortunately.

ok i think this post is long enough so i'll just end here.
oh dam. next weds got national heritage badge test. wth, just ask us go mug one whole bloody website. imba la, got one million things there, mug what la. imse all lor.

this is probably somewhat a random post on DMP reviews since im kinda bored these few (holi)days...

k first lets recall what modules i took:

hmm.
frog dissection was VERY FUN. ok sadistic part aside, i think the frog dissection is really very interesting la. seems it was quite popular too, the module. strongly advise all to take. except maybe the faint-hearted =X
lorenzo's oil...ok la got nice movie + documentary to watch. very slack =p, and perhaps it was..enlightening to some extent on well...science and ethics.
linear algebra was abit gg though. the topic was A level FURTHER maths, wth. ppl go rjc normally take challenging maths nia (its easier than further maths, despite what the name might suggest). so sibei hard lor, eigenvalue eigenvector ftw. lucky i passed the test...barely. 10/20 >.< ok but i guess i might try taking another maths module next year...for god knows why reason.
logically speaking was, abit diao. truth tables and all didnt seem to make much common sense to me. might be useful in arguments (as in daily, not philosophical), but...its too much of a hassle to understand la.
mind: is it matter is, unfortunately, worse. the whole module was kinda unorganised, with litte or no clear objectives. or it may be just because i didnt go for the first lesson, as i had jap eoy oral =/ in any case...not particulary enjoyable ba.
cold war was interesting. especially when its our dear ss teacher mr janus lim whos teaching...lol. im making it sound like the other teacher sucks though. =X no la hehe. elsa chew ok ba.
terrorism in ri module >< ok it was average. at least got some stuff on terrorism and all...however might i say that it might have all or mostly been covered in the homefront security module le.. =.= zzz. but its average la, the module.

i think this year's dmp was rather hastily chosen. at least for me. maybe next year i should take more time and effort into carefully considering what to take. and i dont think we should be bothered by the assessment given. the module content is more important ba. oh ya hopefully can get modules with friends too ;)

tmr school starting le...i dunno, guess it might be sian to return to that pretty boring life. but its after eoys...and i guess things COULD be different. say, game spammage =D but also got eoy results...*cross fingers* =X

very belated post. about eoy. but nvm.

uh, i always have the habit of speculating my test marks if i can, and thus im going to just do it here.
in chronological orderr:

english - 75%? think compre was quite good. essay...im not sure if i had went off point on the content part =X...hopefully it goes well. and HOPEFULLY, a miracle could happen and my eng might might might get 4.0. but i take it as 3.6 just in case

SS - 80%, think this one was easy enough. first qn was abit scary, when i first read i didnt understand the elements of democracy hidden in the 3 sources but i got enlightened somehow =) yea 2nd question was no problem, "little man wielding a large stick"...well i suppose in our SS teacher's context that could have sounded extremely wrong. =X anyway, a gpa of 4.0 overall ba.

chi - 75%? i screwed up yan yu at last section bad. half of them wrong zzz. zong he tian kong...well i think something of comfort would be that at least i wont fail the zong he tian kong this time. chang wen suo duan was ok too, followed the guidelines wu gave strictly. with luck chi overall can get 3.6, if i get something like 75% for this test, that is. oh shit got the screwed up compo test too. we put it as 3.2 for now lor.

chem - 70%... what the eff, died like shit for last page. 3rd part about calculating no. of mol of water used, i got NEGATIVE mols wtf. ggxx le, then naturally the later parts were just as gg. -7 from that pg alone. didnt know what were allotropes too, as well as the stupid qn about silicon and carbon dioxide and why they were diff bla bla bla. zz, thats a total of....-12. i only got +3 from bonus, so thats still a -9. very cham. i hope my (assumingly) high chem CA marks will save me.

maths - 80% ok this one was average. stupid log qn tio screwed, kena some x^4 equation wtf. didnt have time to solve it even though i tried the other method. think the end answer is still wrong and i dont know why. minus maybe 3. coord geometry qn also gg, dunno how to find area, minus 2. coord of B wrong also, -3... graph qn about finding k in y=k or sth, hai...-1. thats altogether -9, but even then its still at 90%. i think 80% for this test is definitely possible, and thus a 4.0gpa for maths. i think =)

phy - 70%+? hai gg. mcq was alright, got maybe 4/5qns out of 30 that i not sure but thats a small matter. section B gg....some funny CG qn which im not sure if i intepreted the qn correctly, and even then i also not sure if i did them correctly =X stupid depth of pool qn gg also, not very sure how the diagram would look like. bonus also didnt know how to do, cannot locate pivot properly and kept getting confused over the perpendicular part of moments formula. quite a no. of ppl seemed to be able to do it though... hai, just hope to maintain my 3.6 for this subject la, i dont hope for 4.0, since its very much unlikely.

bio - 80%++ ok this was i think the first (and last) paper which i thought was easy. mcq only -3 out of 40, which is ownage. open ended...screwed up heart qn, got the strucutres wrong, minus 4/5 from there =( maybe iron lung got a few marks deducted also, say -2? guailan gill qn at the first page, didnt understand wth the 3 parts/things were. so gg, think whole thing wrong. -4 so thats -14, which is a 66/80. 64/80 is 80%. GG.... but i really hope got 4.0, its like everyone's getting it...=/

thats...wa. freaking gpa of 3.73 ZZZZZ. my last APR had a gpa of 3.8 wth. deprove ARGH. anyway this isnt imba at all, u should look at ppl like patrick, getting something of a gpa of 3.9, holy.
guess next year gotta buck up more. study more, revise, bla bla. ya all the empty talk again, but hopefully im filling them up. =/

ok i guess i'll be posting more again soon. currently we have some 6 day hol and its the 5th day le, sadly. then normal school will start again, albeit more slack. oh ya np also starting...=/ they havent started planning for camp yet. gg? =X

kk today had another library mugging session, more failure than last time ones but nvm...not main point.
got some interesting things happened.

first, some of leonard's(goh) juniors from band came and duno, tried to kachiao/talk with him. talk alot of crap la, lol.

oh ya since im like sharing funny stuff might as well add in this.
once upon a time, a boy called eugene was having his lit dmp. some literal representation of culture, i think the dmp is screwed up but nvm....
er his teacher was edelweiss yong(yong for short cos i lazy to type, u realise the name abit de long) la
then he was having dmp assessment
oh wait before that, let me state that he had this spastic light bulb keychain attached to his pencil case. press le got light de...ya.
not sure if eugene met a problem with his test or sth, but anw she went to ask "do you have an idea?" - with some reference to the lightbulb thing, apparently she saw it.
den eugene went to play along, say like "no its dimming"
den this is the spastic part.
"come i help u" - then she go take the lightbulb and press on and off a few times...
worse is, she add in sound effect. like, "ping ping" or something. dam spastic....>.< diao

then yu zhongming came =D this is where the fun begins. at first ask him about chi zao ju....then was randoming, began to ask about hydrogen, how to pronounce in chi (forgot why i asked though). he said it was "qing1", then felt more random, so ask more elements...
"zhongming, sodium zai hua yu li zen me jiang?" - btw sodium element name is Na, u'll see why i said this soon
"sodim ah? na." - wth?!?!?!
"er zhongming ni bu shi zai kai wan siao ba"
then he said no la....i was like wth, im sure chi name=hanyu pinyin of element... =.="
then like er, magnesium (Mg) is read as "mei2", lithium(Li) is "li4", argon(Ar) is "ya4" and...neon is "nai3". rofl
then he went to kachiau leonard's juniors...go impress them with his chi or sth =.=
then he went on to say how the ri boarding is not as good as other schools...said got once found a mouse in some cooking pot in the dining hall, i was like wt*? ya kinda siao right. then he said what, cleaners clean the complex like once a week. wa gg, sure dirty like free. and dengue seems to spread quite easily in the boarding too, according to him....=/ eew, turns me off now.

next 2 days/week will be dam busy, as i realise that got alot of stuff i still not sure/unmemorised. ggxxf2l...hai. hope it will turn out easy lor...god bless =/ i dont really believe in god la, i no religion de, but nvm, having a form of faith is good dont u think =)

im not exactly sure why im here (because im not there =p), posting an entry on the eve of the start of EOYs 2007, but i am anyway.

just wanted to share a discovery i made over the past week/days.
MUGGING IN SCHOOLS IS GOOOOOOOD.
as in really.
be it library/classroom (classroom probably preferred due to serious lack of distractions), its extremely good to be revising with classmates. i know you're probably not convinced so i shall give u a few evidences here:
1. can cross-check knowledge with your friends, or simply ask about unclear stuff.
2. more motivation than at home (maybe applies only for me i dont know)
3. er, effective? =/

k now i've seen some ppl who've pia-ed(chionged) in sch library before for EOYs, but their results dont seem to show the (supposed) effort put in. know why?
THEY GO TO LIBRARY WITH WORKSHEETS.
THEY START CHATTING/SLACKING WITH FRIENDS.
consequence? failure study session.
hmm a real example i can use is mr tan hao qin, who has posted that almost 3/4 study sessions of his failed. so sad =)

perhaps this year's class is slightly better, with more er ppl who are willing to revise/learn so it gets easier to mug this way.
i think it'll be good to do this next year =)
too bad cannot for CCTs...got cca/3rd lang almost every day. and ppl's schedules cant really match too.

ok my strain of thoughts is getting dam off le, end here.
i wont wish ppl good luck, but im just going to say this.
