End July 2011

An interesting month to say the least

Durians -
I had more durians in this month than I had in the whole of 2011. 2 tropical fruit fests and 1 eat all you can.. hmm.. still tempted for 1 more round... takers?

Specials -

• Well I was supposed to be on the streets of KL for 709, instead on that morning i was on the way to Taiping to witness the final breakthrough of my project for the EDTP, following which i attended a colleagues wedding, and after that, a quick visit to Taiping town and some fellowship with some of the saints of TGH
  

• I missed out on the trip to Bali, which i do regret...but thanks to photoshop and the group who so willingly saved me a spot during group photos, i was there as well!.

While i had to do magic on those other photos I was tagged in

• Whilst not being able to join 50,000 fellow malaysians on the streets on 709, I managed to join 85,000 malaysians to cheer on the national side taking on singapore at bukit jalil stadium. I was still stuck on the highway during kick-off and we had to park about 1km away from the stadium proper.
  Finally managed to get a good spot with a view of the pitch after the 1st half...when some of the crowd went to relieve themselves.
  When we scored ... i tell you the feeling is so electric you had to be there to experience it... so at the end of the day.. i still got to wear yellow, walk with 80k people, with the presence of the FRU
  
  
  
• A particularly weird birthday celebration for a friend.. I cant believe he chose to spend the 1st few minutes of a birthday in a listening to the sultry crooning of an octogenarian rehashing the greatest hits of the 80's... canto style...

Now that July is done with....let's see what August has in store.. how did your July turn out?

Over

the past few weeks time has been flying by and we've already passed the mid mark of the year...what has been on my mind?

Have you ever been jeered at as you walk down an aisle which seems to be going on forever?
The feeling of utter humiliation as the naysayers unload their barrage of attacks on you... that look on their faces as they bark out insults as if someone just let them off their leash...
that tone as if you are unworthy to walk on the same street as them....

No?

Actually that's how it is when i walk back to my place and pass through those houses with dogs. I can accept most other dogs except these pair that belong to the corner house. they have a really annoying bark that's shrill and when they let loose they seem like they're ready to attack you. No, they're not the big type like a Dalmatian or a Retriever but more to those small-mid size dogs.

The funny thing is, there was once i was walking past and they were barking ...and the other was trying to *arrhemm* the other...

Yes... they were barking while they were...

*ahemm..*


doing it the only style they know how...

The 1 that we wasted our time on before marky mark zukerberg snatched our freedom of not being on his site?

The 1 before we gave up our freedom to do what we wanted.. only to go back plowing the fields or serving in a cafe?

Apparently they have become a sort of online gaming site.. ( of sorts.. I'm not too sure myself)

Optimus Prime is a big pussy

Yes. I've said it. Someone had to. It's about time. No doubt the show was great, the small moments and one liners were great. (especially when they introduced Carly...) Action was awesome... but prime?

Half the time he's throwing a grade A PMS fit about being lied to, supporting the wrong side, getting himself(itself?) tangled and requires saving.

It makes you think "ada betui ka? Ini leader autobot ka?"

Of course he comes packing a bigger stick in this movie .. but cmon man...you cant deny the decepticons have all the good shit and optimus...




And he died in the end..come on....

You could hear women swooning and giggling when Thor was half naked..

Of this 3 i think i enjoyed Pirates the most... purely because of Johnny... but to be honest non of them were really mind blowing...

The only question is... would i have enjoyed Kung Fu more than Thor? hmmm..

Over the past couple of weeks, the theme of weddings and marriage is certainly in the air.

• Managed to played for a wedding on the weekend before flying off for holiday
• Witnessed a (surprise) marriage proposal in HK Disneyland
• Came back to find out 2 from my CG are tying the knot (accompanied them settle the dinner venue)
• WL extended the formal invitation to his wedding dinner.

And that's discounting the fact that another 2 couples from the young adults will be saying their 'i do' s in the next month.

Despite knowing that none of them are readers of this blog, I still would like to wish all the couples God's richest blessings upon them as they take the step of commitment as Husband and Wife.
