Crystal anniversary

My brother and sister in law celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary earlier this month  and this is the card I made to send my good wishes. 16 years is traditionally celebrated with crystal so I used this fab freebie from bird house and cut out the sections between the hearts, I filled the hearts with glitter glue crystal colour of course and the outline I coloured with silver metallic promarker. The base card is metallic  pearlised silver and I used some paper from papermania  for the mat layer. The sentiment is a silver peel-off mounted on more silver card. have to say I was very happy with the result.
Here is a closer look at the heart.

retro woof

A  wuffly stamp from Sugar nellie at funky kits. I decided to make some cards that I could add sentiments to at a later date for whatever use and who doesn't love a cute dog.
I coloured this with crystal glaze pens think that's what they are called, just love the dimension it gives. I fussy cut the image and mounted it on a die cut circle which I embossed with a chevron pattern using an embossing folder from diesire. I over-layed this with a black diecut circle that I'd tried to cut a circle from the center of but it went a little wrong but the off center mistake I thought worked well for this card.

The base card I decided to keep simple by just adding some retro stamping .

anniversary explosion

In August it was my 21st wedding anniversary which is traditionally celebrated with brass so I chose to use this as one of the colours for my card to my husband. I decided to make an exploding box as I couldn't remember ever making one so thought I would give it a try.                             I decorated the outside of the box with ribbons and a hand tied double bow (which my hubby did try to un-do to get into the box... he still needs some training and educating obviously).
The inside of the box I decorated with the same papers and this cute image from LOTV which I coloured with promarkers.

I added some punched flowers and leaves which I attached to acetate strips and for that bit of extra sparkle I added diamante gems to the flower centres. A couple of die cut ovals gave me a place to write and a peel-off sentiment to finish off.

My hubby was suitably impressed so to me that was all that mattered.

autumnal anniversary

Autumn can be a season with such contrasting days, it can be dull and miserable and be cold and wet and the leaves on the trees when turning colour in these conditions just add to the dreary feel. In contrast when the skies are clear and bright the blue just seems to make the turning leaves so vibrant that they dance as they shimmer and fall in the wind and even though it may be cold in the shade the sunshine still offers some warmth.                                                             My sister in law and her hubby and my brother both chose to marry in October. This card is for my sister in law and her hubby, hopefully she won't see it before the day. I chose to use this cute image
from LOTV and go with the rich autumn colours and coloured with promarkers.

I used a cram base card and added yellow/orange papers from papermania as the base layer. The gold heart card is from qvc ages ago.
I used x cut and spellbinders dies to mount the image on and used cream card for the sentiment which I stamped in brown ink.

I added cream ribbon and tied with a knot and finished with some flowers from my stash in rust and yellows adding pearls for the centres.
I'm hoping the happy couple enjoy their 11th anniversary and like my card in celebration of their happy day.

texting you love

I love this image as its just so typical of so many teenagers and younger boys and girls alike. The image is one of the annabelle range from the fab LOTV.

I coloured her as always well nearly always with my promarkers and fussy cut her out before adding her to a die cut base from go kreate.

I decided to play with another die I bought from a craft show I visited a few months ago and had a go at making my own roses using the same papers I planned on using for the rest of my card. They are a little fiddly but I was quite pleased with the results.
The card I chose to use a brown and pink theme and used some papers from a qvc scrapbooking kit along side a printed paper from stitchy bear. I added a punch cut lace border using a matha stewart punch and finished the card with a cream satin hand tied bow.
No sentiment as yet but I think this will probably end up as a birthday card or even just a hello card.

Granddaughter birthday bunny

I was asked  to make a card for a granddaughter so I decided to use this fab LOTV stamp. I love how it just oozes lazy summer days. I coloured the image with promarkers after stamping it on a spellbinders die cut circle.

I added some pink and white flowers to tie to the flowers I coloured in the image.

I used this fab freebie gingham paper from bird house, they have some really great colours and patterns as well as some fab images too. I love this blue it just looks so clean and fresh. I added a base layer matted on plain blue paper, then a vertical band of the same paper on a mat of plain blue. I then added a horizontal band of embossed white paper edged with some punched paper lace in the same blue paper I used for the matting. I finished the card with a die cut butterfly and a blue metallic die cut swirl and a white hand tied white satin bow.
The sentiment is simply a silver peel-off.
