Our Tomato Plant

It's our second time trying to grow a tomato plant on our balcony. Tyson is dying for some home grown tomatoes and so when he saw this plant at Costco (of course!) he had to buy it. We are crossing our fingers that we get some yummy tomatoes soon!!

Owen is such a great helper!

Special Visitors!!

We had some special visitors come see us last week and we had so much fun with them. We sure miss living near the Tidwells! Aunt Gretchen, Aunt Bridget and cousins Sophie and Rosie came to play. We spent our time together swimming, watching movies, shopping and more shopping, going to Tyson's softball game, celebrating Gretch's birthday and going to Graham's swim lesson.

It meant so much to us that they came to see us. We love you guys!

Four Months

So I am a little late posting this but better late than never right? Our little Graham turned 4 months on the 14th. My oh my is he getting big soooooo fast! I cannot believe it's been 4 months since we welcomed this happy babe into our family. Here are a few things about Graham:

-LOVES to smile and laugh...especially at Owen (the cutest thing I've ever seen I think)
-Loves tummy time and I know he is strong enough to roll over, but he hasn't yet
-We started swim lessons with this little guy! I've got some cute pictures I need to post about this. He sure loves the water and looks the cutest in his speedo. :)
-Talks all the time still. Coos when he wakes up or needs to eat in the middle of the night. Tyson and I start laughing when he wakes up just talking at his 5am feeding. So polite.
-So happy! This little boy is a "go with the flow" kind of babe. If he's not happy it's just because he needs his diaper change, he's tired or he's hungry. He is super content to just stare at people. He must be a people watcher like his mama.
-Doesn't love his carseat right now. But luckily I know it's a phase. He's totally fine it if someone is talking to him.
-Still won't take a binkie but has found his hand, which I think is great.
-Just started to refuse the bottle which makes it hard to go on dates. But I have a new goal to help him take it again and have started this week. Any tips would be great!!!
-Takes 4 naps during the day and sleeps from around 8pm to 7:30am with one sometimes two feedings in the middle of the night.
-He LOVES LOVES LOVES to be kissed and to kiss you back! It's the cutest thing. I need to get it on camera one of these days.
-He is super sensitive to loud noises or other babies crying. He will make the biggest booboo lip and begin to cry. He sure is a tender little boy.
-Makes us all smile every day. He really brings so much joy into our home and makes us all love each other that much more. He definitely makes our family feel more complete. We'll keep him. :)

Our little G has had some tummy issues for quite a while now. I've been on a strict diary free or anything from a cow free diet. No steak, hamburger, or ANYTHING that has diary in it, even if it's been cooked or baked (i.e. muffins). I'll do anything for my kids and especially to continue nursing so while it seems hard it really hasn't been too bad. Our pediatrician thinks Graham has a protein dairy allergy because often times we find blood in his poop. But it's been much better since I've been on this strict diet for the past 5 weeks. We see a GI specialist on Wednesday to make sure everything is okay. I'm anxious to see what he says.

Other than that our Graham is a healthy baby and we couldn't be more grateful.

Here are a few pictures of the cute little chub.

We love you Graham baby!!! Thank you for making me smile every day sweet boy.

Love,
your mama

Camelback Inn

We went to the JW Marriott Camelback Inn Resort to meet up with Tyson's brother and family while they were here for spring break. It was so much fun to spend the day swimming and relaxing with some great company.

{forgot the camera so the pics aren't great!}

Thanks for a wonderful day Tidwell family!!

Easter Fun

We have had quite the week leading up to Easter Sunday including a few Easter egg hunts, egg coloring and of course church. It has been so much fun to watch Owen get so excited for the holidays.

I am in charge of our Ward play group and so naturally thought it would be fun to have an Easter egg hunt at the park. I organized stations as well which included: sugar cookie making (my friend DeLisa got this one all ready), necklace making, and fun with bubbles and chalk. The kids seemed to love it and we had a great turnout just like last year.

Owen didn't really understand the idea of looking and gathering eggs but was much more interested in opening them all. He was pretty disappointed when he opened 3 in a row with raisins! :)

{an attempt at a picture of me and the boys}

Each year Midwestern has an Easter event equipped with the Easter bunny, crafts, games, bounce houses and of course a giant Easter egg hunt. Tyson and I took the boys and it was pretty packed. I have noticed that packed events such as these are just too stimulating for Owen. He doesn't know what to do with himself! After a few meltdowns and being scared to death by the Easter bunny, we decided to find a spot of shade on the outskirts of the mayhem to relax and have a snack. Once we were in our spot it was like night and day with Owen. He was such a happy boy and loved just sitting with us. Kind of sounds crazy to me that he'd rather do this than be running around playing and having fun! But I know my little guy is a sensitive one and so this was just what he needed to be happy. :)

I sure love this little boy!

Here's the craziness! This event is open to the community and so it is always way crowded. This Easter egg hunt was only for 0-3 years old!

After about one minute of "hunting" Owen got clocked in the head by a heavy Easter basket a mom was carrying. She was running to catch up to her son when she accidentally hit Owen, and hard. The poor thing was so upset.
And the egg hunt was all over in about 3 minutes, seriously.

I love getting kisses from my little chubbalub.

The afternoon after the Midwestern event I had some friends over to color Easter eggs. My friend Kaylee had the great idea and asked if I would host and of course I said yes! I love doing things like this too and it was so much fun to hang out while letting our little ones play together.

Our festive week ended with a wonderful Easter Sunday spent together. In the morning I decided to hold off giving Owen his Easter basket and instead we listened to church songs and had a little lesson about the Resurrection. I loved the fact that we were able to focus on Christ and His Resurrection all morning and then again at church BEFORE getting to the materialistic stuff. Don't get me wrong, I think it's all fun and especially feel this way after having kids, but it was nice to focus on the real meaning of Easter for most of the day. After church got over at 4pm I gave Tyson and Owen their treats and baby Graham a cute outfit. :)

At the end of the day I attempted to get a few pictures of the boys. It sure is hard to get them both looking at me and smiling! But I think they are the cutest little guys around.

It was a wonderful day spent with loved ones and being reminded of the huge sacrifice the Savior made for us and the wonderful blessing of life after death. I am so grateful for my Savior and His Resurrection. I know that my Redeemer lives.
