He's here! He finally arrived on December 29th at 9:30am. Tyson Owen Tidwell weighs 7 lbs. 4 oz. and is 20 1/2 inches long. He is our little bundle of joy. We are already in love with his round face, full lips and big eyes. Owen loves to be swaddled and cuddled (thank goodness because his parents wouldn't have it any other way!). Julie is doing great and her recovery is already on the way. We feel so blessed to have him here safely and to be his parents. He is truly a little gift from Heaven!

Only 8 Days...but I hope it's a little sooner!!
So a week ago I was put on bed rest. I have been fighting high blood pressure now for the last 8 weeks and finally my doctor said enough. So I stopped working (thank goodness only a week before break) and I am stuck in the house. But I do get one outing a day but with my 3 doctor's appointments a week, they kind of take care of that one "outing." So in just 8 short days I will be induced, due to my pre-eclampsia. Thank goodness!! I have to admit though that I hope baby Owen comes a little earlier (maybe for the best Christmas gift ever?) but if not he will come to us on the 28th. I feel so blessed that I only have to be on best rest for a short 2 or so weeks. I think I'd go CRAZY if it were longer. And I have to just say how grateful I am for Tyson. He is practically my maid these days and he does it so willingly and with a smile on his face. He is seriously the BEST. So wish me luck for these next few days and hopefully my next post will be of pictures of our sweet baby boy. ;)

Baby Owen's Nursery
It's finished!! I am thrilled and definitely relieved to have our baby's room complete. Since I am already dialated and 50% effaced, and he's definitely pushing down and getting ready to come, I feel much calmer knowing that his room is finished, my hospital bag is packed, and I have just one more week of teaching to endure. We are now just excited!!
This is from the doorway...
His cozy crib...
His dresser and changing area...
Of course a place for many, many cute pictures!!
His bookcase for many, many books that I still need to bring home from school.
And that's the tour! I almost took a picture of his closet because I am so proud of how organized it is and I love the closet organizer that Tyson built, but then I thought it might be kind of dorky. The only thing missing from his room is his green glider.
Now the baby just needs to come!! :)

Mary and Joseph
Tyson and I were asked to play Mary and Joseph in our ward Christmas party play last weekend. At first we were like "great" and not too thrilled as acting really isn't our thing. Plus with the baby coming around the corner we have found ourselves swamped with things to do. But we came up with some pretty sweet costumes and tried to make the best of it. Little did we know that we were the ONLY characters in the "play" and Tyson didn't recieve his parts until hours before the night began. But we still tried to make the best of it and figured it out.
Well I have to say that I am grateful for the opportunity I had to play Mary. It really became a beautiful, and very spiritual experience for me. I was able to really reflect upon what Mary had gone through to bring our Savior into the world. It also made me feel so much closer to my own baby boy who will be coming around Christmas time as well. I wish I could find the picture of Mary and Joseph that our ward had at the party, I absolutely love it. But I am just grateful for that opportunity and I am grateful to be having my own little, precious baby boy come meet us soon. :)

Thanksgiving....
Finally I am updating our blog! We went down to sunny Southern California for Thanksgiving with my family. It was absolutely WONDERFUL!! I can't even say how much I enjoyed relaxing and being with my family. I was a little anxious about flying since I was 34 weeks along and already dialated, but everything went wonderfully and I didn't give birth on a plane! We spent Thanksgiving with everyone (minus Greg since he is still on the mission) and it was so fun to do baby stuff with my mom and sister. We definitely did some shopping; almost 7 hours on Black Friday! But we all just about finished our Christmas shopping which made it well worth it. And who doesn't like some quality girl time while shopping?? Anyways, needless to say it was a wonderful trip. I am however very lame and totally didn't take any pictures. I definitely think that my mind's on pregnancy or something. So here is a silly one of Tyson and I and another full body shot for those of you who don't get to see me too often! :) I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday!
Here I am 35 weeks prego!
