The New Addition....SURPRISE!!

Hey Everyone, we wanted to let you know we will be adding another one to our little family of two. This is something we both have been waiting for and now is the best time for this new chapter in our lives. Even though we still have a lot of uncertainty in our lives, we do know that bringing another sweet spirit into this life will be an amazing blessing. Both Tyson and I can't wait to be parents and love this little one more than anything. I can't believe it is happening...I am a little anxious, definitely sick, extremely tired, and weirdly emotional! But it's all worth it. It will be nice to get some R&R after the school year so I won't have to make some occasional trips to the bathroom throughout the day! The expected due date is January 5th and our doctor says that everything looks great! We can't wait!!

On the day we found out...I couldn't help but capture this special moment!! It's early so please excuse our sleepy eyes...

"Dancing Through the Year"

This past week the dance studio where I teach had our annual dance recital. I have taught dance before but I have never been a part of a recital (at least the behind the scenes stuff). I have learned so much from this experience and I have had so much fun too. I choreographed 3 different dances: a jazz, hip hop and lyrical dance. It was fun to be creative as I tried to bring versatility to each dance. I have definitely learned little things that will help me in the future to be a better dance teacher. But overall, I think they all turned out awesome. The girls did such a good job performing them and I loved seeing the end result. It was like I was living vicariously through them. I totally miss dancing and especially performing but this experience had filled a little void I have had. Yay for dancing!!

Me and two of my nieces who were in one of my jazz classes. They're in their Walking on Sunshine costumes and look so cute!

Yummy Tinfoil Dinners

Since the school year is over and many of our friends have graduated, we decided to go up Little Cottonwood Canyon to celebrate with tinfoil dinners and just good company. So a group of friends from our ward spent the evening outdoors enjoying our yummy food and celebrating! (And no Angie, there was no burning of books!)

Jamison was in charge of "cutting" our huge logs. He was a good sport and did a great job starting our fire!

And the fun begins! Tyson enjoyed using the lighter fluid...

The eight of us. They are such a fun group of friends! We love them!

The girls...Me, Laura, Jenn and Britt

Steve and Spence just chillin as we make some yummy smores.I must say that making smores just might be one of my favorite things to do...or eat I guess. ;)

I wish I took a picture of our tinfoil dinners that Tyson made. He made his with steak, potatoes and veggies, and he made mine with chicken and veggies. They are way good! This was my first experience eating tinfoil dinners and I want to do it again soon!

...Just call me Master :)

Well, well, well... it looks like the time has come to do a little graduating thing. As some of you know Julie and I both graduated this last week with our Masters Degrees. I am way proud of Julie for this accomplishment but for some reason I wasn't too thrilled about being finished. It might be that it was from the U... or maybe the fact that I might have to get a real job... or maybe the fact that I'm not really done yet... seriously. Since I haven't officially become a doctor I have coined a new term to make me feel all cozy inside. Rather than have people call me Dr. Tidwell someday I have decided I would prefer Master Tidwell. It has a very nice ring to it and I am thinking about spending all day tomorrow practicing my new signature. So anyways, congrats to all the others that have graduated or are doing all sorts of fun things in their lives!

Julie graduated with her Master's of Arts in Teaching....

And I graduated with my Master's in Public Health. Since I refused to walk at the U I dont have a fancy piece of paper but who needs paper when you are a Master... need I say more?

Recently...

Lately I feel like our lives have been way too hectic. I am SO ready for the school year to be over. Don't get me wrong, I love my little 6 year olds, but they make me tired! And I think because the weather's getting warmer and it's close to the end, they have been crazy. With the end of level tests around the corner, let's just say I am excited to see them move on to the next level. :) But otherwise, we have managed to have some fun. The other day we had a huge sleepover with our two nephews and our niece. Our little neighbor Quinn came to play with us for a little bit too.

Tyson, Quinn, and Maimie had fun watching Tinkerbell (notice Maimie holding on to Tyson's ear...she did this all night as she slept with us in our bed) too funny

After watching Tinkerbell we all went to our ward's party. Maimie saw me putting on my jewelry and wanted to wear some too. :)

After the party, Tyson made a huge fort for everyone to watch Star Wars under. Tyson's pretty good at making forts. He even asks me sometimes if he can make one while we watch movies. :)

Last Saturday my best friends/ex-roommates and I got together to celebrate Kari's pregnancy/baby. Abigail should be born in the beginning of June and I am excited to be an Aunt!

We went to Color Me Mine and made Abigail a cute cupcake to keep her jewelry in.

It was so fun to be with these girls all day. And I am so excited for Kari and to meet little Abigail!
