Phil was WRONG again this year....LOL

Silly groundhog! We had a week of 60's and 70's last week, and the weekend has been COLD again! What is up with that?
Anyhoooo, I wanted to make something springy, and there are TONS of challenges out there this week for SPRING cards ( I think the world has Spring fever) so I can add this little beauty to those challenges. I just LOVE this Sarah Kay Cutie, and purple and yellow are my fave colors, so voila....LOL! I have been making cards, but not doing a lot of posting, so that is gonna change! Going to be in a Blog Hop next month with my friend, Cindy, so am looking forward to that! Thanks so much for stopping by, and I will see you soon!
Here are the challenges this card will be entered into:

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes ( something old optional) the DP is OLD!
Delightful Challenges - Welcome Spring

Love Letters

How cute is she? I picked up this adorable digi at Designed2Delight Digi Stamps. I saw her on a challenge site all made up into a card, and just FELL IN LOVE! Her name is Kaela and she comes with the mailbox and a heart-shaped candy valentine box. Great deal! Please be sure to check out this digi shop... I bet you find some cuties, too!
Anyhooooo...I wanted a Valentine I could send my Daughter in college, so I HAD to use this little sweetie right away! I colored her with Prismacolor watercolor pencils and cut her out. Did the same with the mailbox, and then decided I wanted it cut out with an oval....kinda worked out cute. The DPs are retired from Stampin' Up, and the colors worked out perfectly. I LOVE how their papers all mix and match...
My card fits into a few of this weeks challenges, so I will enter it in the following:

Charisma Cardz - Valentine
Creative Cowgirls - Valentine
Papers Sundaes - Valentine
Paper Playtime - Anything Goes with a Digi

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope everyone is staying warm...tomorrow will be Day 3 for us here in NW Arkansas!

With Sympathy

Unfortunately, I was in need of a Sympathy Card, so I used the Stamping 411 Sketch, and was able to put it together pretty quickly.
I used a Bloomin' Beautiful for my flower and the sentiment is from Thoughts & Prayers, both sets are Stampin' Up. They work well together.
I hate making Sympathy cards, as I am sure everyone is. I hope it brings some comfort to a dear friend who lost her sister to Cancer yesterday morning.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a Great night!

Thanks for 2011

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Welcome to 2011... I am so glad last year is over, it wasn't one of my best. It started bad with my Dear Momma passing, and that cast a shadow on the entire year. I DID have a wonderful Mid-year with the graduation of my Beautiful Daughter and her acceptance to college along with scholarships. Then saying goodbye to her was hard...I just HAD to let her grow up, though I don't like it...LOL! Enough dribble~
This is my first card for the new year. I want to start digging out some of the older stamps I have, so this is a start...LOL!
I used Stampin' Up's Polka Dots & Paisley to do the entire card. No DP, I can't believe it! The sentiment is from SU Trendy Trees.

This card can be entered in a few Challenges this week, so I will go ahead and enter them into:
Papertake Weekly - Thank You
Cute Card Thursday - Thank You
Phindy's Place - Thank You

Thanks so much for stopping by! Along with my resolution to bring out some of my older stamps sets, I also plan to do more Blogging this year. The loss of my Mom brought with it the loss of my Mojo, but I know she would want me to get back to it! So see you soon! Have a great week!

More Christmas

I needed a few quicky Christmas cards, for the last minute, and this was one I did. My friend, Cindy, and I wanted to do a challenge together and we picked the sketch on Just Add Ink.
When I saw the sketch, I knew I had to use this tree...I have loved this set for AGES, and finally got it, but hadn't used the tree yet. One of my FAVE color combos, year round actually, is Brown and Blue, and these just meshed so perfectly!
This card also qualifies for a few more challenges:

All Sorts - Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin' - Celebrations
Corrosive - Non-Traditional Christmas Colors
Stamptacular - TREEmendous

I only have 2 more last minute cards to make, so I am off....
Have a WONDERFUL Christmas Week! Thank you for stopping by!
