My friend, Cindy, and I were talking last night about card making styles. We do a lot of discussing, and I LOVE it! Well, after talking with her, I saw a card I just LOVED, and decided I would have a go at something similar. This is the result.
I dug out my old Big Blossom stamp, and some flourishes, and had at it! I decided to use a color I don't use very often - green. I was thrilled I got to dig a couple of my very UNUSED punches out for this one, too! Geesh, so much stuff, so little time~
As I was flipping thru the weekly Challenges at The Daily Dare, I came upon a few challenges I can enter this card into:
Play Date Cafe - Black, White and a splash of Green
The Secret Crafter - Clean & Simple
The Paper Players - Anything Goes
Stamp Something - Use a Sentiment
Creative Belli - Forgotten Tools
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a GREAT day!

It is Memorial Day here in the U.S.A., so I wanted to send a Thank You out to all of the Couragous Men and Woman who have defended our Freedom. Those who are currently in service and those who have served.

Daisy Doodles - Red, White, and Blue
Stamping Boutique - Red, White, and Blue
Craft Us Crazy - Remembrance
Fairy Knoll - Memorial Day
2 Sisters - Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Paper Players - Anything Goes

Come and Get It Sketch Challenge
Today is Sketch Sunday at Come and Get It Challenges.
Below you can see the sketch we all followed. I think that Shell picked a WINNER! I had a ton of fun digging out old DP to use on this card...there is a little of everything in there. I had one little piece of the green print that is in the right upper coner, so I built the entire card around it...yeah, I know, I am strange. The rest of it just fell together.
I hope you will call come and join in the challenge this week. Please get creating and Come and Get It!!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a FABBY week~

Peachy-flies
Happy Hump Day! This is another card I made for the current Color Challenge at Come and Get It Challenges. This one came together SO MUCH easier that the first, but I still LOVE the one with the roses!
I have been digging out my old SU sets, and really have been enjoying using them. Some are ANCIENT...LOL, but I just can't seem to part with them! Guess I am a rubber hog, eh?
Well, thanks so much for stopping by tonight! I will see you later with something new...

Special Birthday
I have been trying to figure out something special for my Grandmother's 90th Birthday card. This one is pretty, but I don't think it is THE one yet....
I used the Sketch over at Stamping 411. Those that know me are aware that one of my favorite colors is yellow, thus the Summer Sun. I used one of my ALL time favorite SU sets, Natural Beauty, which is long retired, but still goreous! I sponged the Ballet Blue onto the outside of the circle then stamped and watercolored the leaves with Old Olive reinker. The flowers are also colored with reinkers and cut out for a 3D effect. The rest is pretty self explanatory.
I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges, as well:
Pear Tree Designs - Stamped Images
Crafty Ann - Birthdays
Corrosive - Birthdays
Stamp Something - Anything Goes
Thanks so much for stopping by tonight! I will be back tomorrow with another card for the Come and Get It Color Challenge!

Challenging Color Challenge
This week at Come and Get It Challenges, I am hosting a Color Challenge. The colors are Peach, Mint or Light Green and Olive Green. When I chose this combo, I thought it would be very easy to create a card with it. OHHHH, was I wrong. I didn't realize I have NO PEACH INK! ( That will change as I will be getting some of SU's Peach Parfait~) I decided I needed to find something in peach besides my cardstock, so I went on a hunt. I had a few gorgeous DP, but the greens weren't right, so I thought I would just make my own flowers. I wasn't loving the punched flowers, and remembered the link Cindy gave me for Roses made with 5 petal flower punches. You can find it HERE. Oh my goodness, I just LOVE how they came out! I faked the rosebud, but I think it works, what do you think?
I will enter this card into other challenges out there this week:
2 Sisters - Spring
Designed 2 Delight - Handmade Flowers
Shannon's - 3 Flowers and No DP
Crafty Creations - Anything Goes
Creative Card Crew - May Flowers
Delightful Challenge - Flowers
Papertake - Fancy A Punch
The rest of the card came together on its own... The leaves are a die from SU, and the scalloped edge is also by SU. The embossing folder is by Cuttlebug. I must say that is color challenge has turned into one of my favorite creations. I hope you will come play with us at Come and Get It Challenges this week!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a WONDERFUL Sunday!
