Punch class last night

I had such good fun last night at my Tuesday class - this week was punch animals, hardly any stamping at all!!!!! Love my Tuesday ladies, they are a fab bunch and we do have a laugh!
This is my room set up ready for the class!
Look at all those punches!

So we made 3 cards, 2 of them you have seen before but I have added the recipes for you to be able to re-create your own animals! You should be able to click on the photo to make it bigger.

Lovely little lion, colours for the lion are Apricot Appeal and Pumpkin Pie, with a Chocolate Chip nose. The punches used are obviously all Stampin Up and the numbers represent the inches.

Next up is a new card and my new favourite!! This was inspired by a card that I got as a swap from Linda but I have made a few changes. I have added larger eyes and made them cross eyed, I dont know why I like to do this but I think it makes the animals look cuter!

The colours used are So Saffron, Really Rust, Close to Cocoa and Pretty in Pink for the tongue! The background is created with a stamp from the Level 1 hostess set Darling Dots and I have stamped onto Kraft with Versamark!

And finally lovely cheeky monkey!!
Here is the recipe, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel with Old Olive branches from the new Bird Punch

And here is what the table looked like after an hours crafting!!!

Can you see the little teddy bear on the table!! Thats Barnaby! I will tell you all about him next time I post!!

The boy version!

Firstly I want to say a huge thank you for all the lovely comments you left for me about my Grandma. We knew that she would not have long left but it is still a shock and to be honest I am more upset for my Mum than anyone else, my Mum was a very devoted Daughter.
So onto a card! This is the boy version of one I did for Jenny on Saturday (I actually did the boy one first!) It uses colour combo of Night of Navy and Bashful Blue.
The papers are from the Level 1 hostess paper pack and of course the stamp sets are All in the Family, Circle of Friendship and Schoolbook Serif.

I have coloured Ben in with my marker pens and added some punched out stars!

Arty angle for you!

Well I finally got internet access tonight at 10pm!!! Apparently the virgin media lines keep getting vandalised!!!!!!!!

A card for Jenny

Really quick post from me this morning - feeling a bit funny as Ross is going away with School for 3 days!! He is very excited but I know he is a bit scared too!!! Going to wave him off in a few minutes!
As promised here is the card I made for Jenny. I did a very similar one in boy colours on Friday so I will show that tomorrow. The colour combo is inspired by a really bright wedding order that I got!! Only Orange and Pink Passion!
All in the Family set coloured in with my markers and stamped name with Schoolbook Serif (whats new????) and added a scalloped border.

Sentiment is from CIrcle of Friendship and the Number is from Schoolbook Serif numbers, all punched out with the circle punches and layered up onto the scallop circle punch.

I also added the hearts from the Heart to Heart punch to jazz it up a bit!!!!!

Hope you had a lovely birthday weekene Jenny!!

Right I am off to get my tissues ready

Stamp with Us Sneaky peeky!!!!

Another Sunday, another Stamp with Us challenge card. I didnt join in last week as my hand was still very bad, thank you for all your lovely wishes about my thumb/hand, it is getting better but is still very tender especially if I overdo things!!!
This is the photo we had to use for inspiration this week and I have used one of the brand new stamp sets from the new catalogue. Its called Circle Circus and I have made a very very simple card.
The circles are very detailed so I decided not to add much more as didnt want to make it too busy! The colour combo is Only Orange, Tempting Turquise, Pixie Pink and Gable Green.

Hope you like, please check back tomorrow as I have some lovely cards to share with a set I got last week which I am really happy with

I am trying to make myself use colours I don't tend to use as much as my beloved browns and pinks!!!! This colour, Taken with Teal is my son, Ross's favourite SU colour!!!!!
A simple card using the Petal Pizazz stamp set from the new mini catalogue
Stamped and cut out some of the flowers again for added dimension

Used my trusty Circle of Friendship stamp set!!!
Here is a photo I promised a few weeks ago!! I had to do some filming as Mary Poppins and only had 3 hours notice to put a costume together so here is me as Mary Poppins!!!!!! Excuse all the make up, I had to have is plastered on for the camera!!

Off to Oz again tonight and every night in fact until the 16th May!!

Two challenges in one!!!

I just love these Greeting Farm images of the "teenage" style Anya's so I couldn't wait to colour one in that Vicki sent me!!
This card is for the Spoonfull of Sugar challenge which is Blue and Green!!!! I looked for a sketch challenge too and found the Isimaki challenge which was a sketch, never entered this one before but I loved the sketch so I thought I would use that one............ trouble was I didnt read further down where it said you had to use PURPLE!!!!! ARgghhhh I am doing a Diane!!! (you know who you are!!!)
Anyway colour combo is Tempting Turquoise, Gable Green and Green Galore. I have coloured the image with my Stampin Up markers which of course perfectly match the papers so no rummaging around for a colour match!!!

Papers are from the Rainbow Sherbert set and I have used the Circle of Friendship stamp set for the sentiment.

I love these retro flowers, they give the card a bit more dimension.

Had to share this with you before I go!! Ross, my 9 year old had his first rugby match for the school yesterday, it rained solidly!!!!!! This is what he looked like when he got home!!

And look at his leg, some nasty boy has studded his leg!!!!

GOod old MUm had a bath all run and waiting for him!!!

Bright and Cheery

What a gorgeous day it is this morning!!! Feels like July! Lets hope it stays like this!
Here is another card we will be making on Saturday!! I went all out on this one and its very busy and bright! Its a joy fold card using the Simply Said stamp set.
I have randomly stamped the card in the background with different flowers from the same set using a colour conbo of Pixie Pink, OLd Olive, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie!. The flowers are from the Simply Scrappin Kit called Petal party. Used my trusty Circle of Friendship set layered up with the circle punches and the Scallop Circle punch.

Inside the card I have used the Frames with a Flourish set to use as a place to write your message.

Back tomorrow with another class project!

Jem's Challenge 2 - The Revenge of the Bumble Bees!

Here is my card for my team challenge, this challenge was set by the lovely Jeannette who sent us all a kit to make up a card with. Set told us we had to use every embellishment in the kit!!!!
I have to say this really pushed me out of my comfort zone, and I found it quite difficult!! The bumble bees are coloured in with So Saffron and Chocolate Chip inkpads and the papers are So Saffron and Chocolate Chip designer papers.

More Mustard and Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon
I decided to make a flower using the Oval punch which is available in 6 days time!!!!! Mail me if you would like to order it!!!! I then layered it up with the Circle of Friendship sentiment.

Hope you like it, I had a little accident on the flower, I tried to ink the edges with my markers but got a bit carried away and it went wrong!!!! Ooooppps!!

Motivate Monday!

I have a private forum for the ladies in my Stampin Up team and I try my best to make a card every Monday with a stamp set that I either have never used before or have hardly used at all!! I call it Motivate Monday!!!!
Here is my card for this week. It is using the Tart and Tangy set and the Summer Picnic papers which co-ordinate with each other.
I also had a challenge for my Stampers 10 group ladies on our blog and I sent them all a little card kit this month with a paper and ribbons and some textured die cut flowers and asked them to make a summery card. Thanks to all the ladies who have joined in so far, this is my offering, bit cheeky combining two!!!!!!
The colour combo is Bashful Blue, Real Red and Old Olive. I have made a triple suspension card as you can see, the little fruits spin round.
This lovely flower at the top is one of the Die Cut flowers, they are amazing value, you get 4 sheets od 12x12 die cut flowers, loads of them in there, will be using them a lot more! They are on page 79 if you have a Stampin Up catalogue!

The sentiment is stamped in the popular Circle of Friendship set and I have layered this up and placed on top of a real red ribbon and bow!
Hope it cheers you up today, roll on summer!!!

Sketch Saturday Number 38

Gosh I made this card in such a rush today!!!! I had literally 15-20 minutes to come up with a card for my friend for her niece!!! So I thought I would use the Sketch on Sketch Saturday, kill 2 birds with one stone!!!!! Now I am not very happy with the colouring of the bear at all, its all gone blotchy but didnt have time to do it again!

Colour combo is Regal Rose, Barely Banana and Pretty in Pink, perfect for a 4 year old girl!!! Stamped her name "Anja" with the Schoolbook Serif Alphabet, which I have used loads and the Schoolbook Serif Numbers set! The old faithful Circle of Friendship punched out with the matching circle punches and added some daisies for an extra touch.

Regal Rose ribbon adds the finishing touch, you gotta have a bit of ribbon - right???

Hope Anja likes her card (even with the blotchy painting!!!!)

Jules

P.S I am going to be at the theatre from 10am until probably about 10pm today!!!!! My poor hubby has been great looking after the kiddies!! Might have to make him a card to say thanks!!!!!

Sketch Saturday

Here is my card for Sketch Saturday, I was determined not to miss this as I love the Sketch Saturday challenges and have done quite a few of them now!!
I know quite a few people who are pregnant, including my little sister so I thought I would make a baby boy card. I have used the Nursery Neccessities set for only the second time!!!! Shock horror!! I think I have had it since November!!!
The background paper is Certainly Celery designer paper and I have used the Bashful Blue designer papers too along with a bit of Barely Banana thrown in! I have stamped the little heart from the Big Bold Birthday set as a background on the circle and decoupaged the little sails on the boat.

Finished it off with the Circle of Friendship set and layered up with various circle punches and the scallop edge punch.
Its been put away into my box of cards now, you watch everyone will have girls now I have made this!!
Bye for now!
