BOHO Whimsy new on my etsy shop

I was making a couple of custom orders and decided to make two for my etsy shop . "BOHO the Dragon" and "Gypsy the Bee" .They have just arrived on my etsy site. Jar knob tops

I saw this cute idea on Pinterest and so I  have done a variation  on the idea  with hand made knobs . But first a shot  a short video on how to paint the jar top, drill holes and add a knob. In   this case a TOM HOLTZ knob. But any will do .  

I created  unique knobs using wooden knobs. The knob i feature here is one I made mad myself by gluing a dowel final  onto a half wooden ball . I then drilled  a hole at the base for a screw. You can use the basic raw wooden knobs that you can buy at Home Depot, Lowes and  most hardwares stores.  The sun and moon are done  in the same technique I  teach in my  WHIMSICAL CABOCHONS online class .

Knobs added to jars with spray painted lids I use black chalk board paint for these the lids. 

Styles I love

These are 2 style I loved making. Creating a see through  cover using shrink plastic, allowed me to create depths of layers.

Hand made cabochons

The cabochons in these necklaces are made of paper clay using the technique I teach in my online class WHIMSICAL CABOCHONS.It is for sale on my etsy site $24 for 2 hours and it has kit you can purchase too.

In the yellow and blue necklace and colorful flor vase necklace I painted the images using acrylic paint and then I made shrink beads that match the style and color of the paintings to dangle from the pendants. This is the fun of handmade .

The ivory and pink necklace's cabochons is done in the soft colored pencil technique I teach in the class the class.

Time to move on

After living one full year in my beyond wonderful tiny home on wheels, It was time to  move on. New shrink plastic necklace

Yesterday I made the beads and today I put it together, This piece mixes my love for shrink plastic and wire wrapping . I will be teaching the shrink plastic bead making and  a wire wrapping project  at Paper Tales in San Diego, CA June 10th and 11 th  

 And at Art unraveled.  Phoenix, AZ  Aug. 2  and 3rd . 

A Dream

Last night I  had  one of those dreams  that  felt so real. I was waiting for a flight home ( dream  like ) I had been on a very  long  journey  and had been gone for a very long  time . But I  was finally going home . I  was beyond  excited  because Mark woudl be there  waiting for me.
