Lost The Human Voice!

OMG!!! I lost my voice! I sound like a total "ah kua" now!! Q_Q

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Kinda reminded me of that time when I was totally like a dumb fool last year. I really sound bad. My voice broke. I sound like Cher Hao, quoted by my bro ): this is no good.

Dun believe me, just call me now. Treat me like a transvestite clown or sth alright, I dun care. I hate my voice. I can't eat the chocolates that we got from John's birthday party earlier on either. Boooooooooooo!!!!

By the way, I just wanna say that John's birthday party was a blast. Totally enjoyed myself there, with Cher Hao & John's church people :D Shall blog about the party next week lah. Back to my work. Sobs. I hate school work.

Return to Innocence

I had goosebumps when I first saw this video. Haha! This music video is really interesting yet amusing to watch. Return to Innocence by Enigma, as the song title suggests, shows how a dying old man actually lived his life in reverse all the way back to the innocent infant stage.

I enjoyed the part when the woman stuffed the chicken feathers back into the chicken (since the MV was already in rewind mode) and when the farmers had to put back the fruits onto the trees which they have initially cut off. LOL! Super funny sometimes to watch life go backwards. And, the CG of that running unicorn look super real.

The tune has the aboriginal origin in it, and when I first heard this song, I was kinda transported back into Australia and New Zealand to feel the folk tunes. Very cool stuff. Makes me wanna dance like those tribal people shown on TV documentaries.

And amazingly, the tune was sung by the Taiwanese aboriginal people and they sound really young and powerful, although the couple who sang this tune were in their 60s when it was first recorded. Good eh =P

Eh actually, this blog title could have allowed me to write on more about more realistic human issues, but I guess I better not get started - else there'll be much controversies coming up once again =\ Oh wells, life still have to go on quite harshly, no matter how much you wanna turn back to the innocent times that we had with our family and friends.

Anyway, this folk dancing song entry was meant to share with you guys lah, and for me to de-stress from my work. Ha! I'm not a slacker ok!

Off to John Teh's 21st birthday party (1 month too early to be 21 though) at Orchard area this evening!

OK, below is the lyrics for the above song, quite meaningful especially those words that I've bolded in dark purple =)

*p/s: Just dun be too innocent, too naive or too stupid. Thank you!

Enjoy people!

Enigma - Return To Innocence lyrics

Ami Chant
That's not the beginning of the end
That's the return to yourself

The return to innocence.
Love - Devotion
Feeling - Emotion

Love - Devotion
Feeling - Emotion

Don't be afraid to be weak
Don't be too proud to be strong
Just look into your heart my friend
That will be the return to yourself

The return to innocence

If you want, then start to laugh
If you must, then start to cry
Be yourself don't hide

Just believe in destiny

Don't care what people say
Just follow your own way
Don't give up and use the c
hance
To return to innocence

That's not the beginning of the end
That's the return to yourself
The return to innocence

Don't care what people say
Follow just your own way
Follow just your own way
Don't give up, don't give up
To return, to return to innocence.
If you want then laugh
If you must then cry
Be yourself don't hide
Just believe in destiny.

Your Mac Needs A Bath Today!

I'm so happy. I cleaned my Mac today. It was turning brown, from the original white. Much thanks to all the grime and grease I've been with me, onto the keyboard. Hurhur! Gross, I know.

But hor, you should have seen Amos' Mac, super brown already lah. Eeeeeeeeeeee!!! -imitates En Jie's signature "Ee-ee" voice and lil finger pointing at your face" He's such a heavy user in the media department, as compared to me, a heavy user in the Safari and Microsoft Office department only =P

Anyway, I cleaned it with some expired facial wipes, and surprisingly the wipes still worked as good as it would on our faces, just that Macs dun get pimples or any adverse aftereffects after using expired crap. Yups! I had to clean the keys, the board, the sides of the screen, the in-built webcam, and my chair (also part of my Mac lah, else how to do my work).

Now, it looks so bright and clean that I thought an angel was staring straight into my face whenever I reach out my fingers to use the keyboard! O.O Just kidding, I'm lame =X

Feels good to clean your stuff once in awhile, helps you to study better after that too, I reckon. Ha! Just that my table is messy and disorganised bcos of a whole load of notes and books staring back at me, to remind me to use them for my assignment. Sighs. It never seems to end, doesn't it eh?! Darn!

And, just now I almost got the shock of my life. I swear I almost wanted to scream out loud in the dead of the early morning. I could not switch on my Mac, although I've only put it on standby mode b4 I left for class last evening. Certainly it did wake me up, Miss Sleepy Eyes. Goodness gracious, I had left my assignment hanging halfway and thank God, I remembered to save my work just to play safe.

But when I couldn't wake that Mac up, I was on the verge of panic and hysteria! The deadline's today and if my assignment's gone and the Mac sleeps forever, that's the end of me. Sayonara!

However, life ain't that pessimistic always, right. Just press that "Switch On" button again and let it restart lor. I had to do so many times, for several seconds per press though. Then again, I thought it would become "Sleeping Beauty" and resulting with me kissing it to revive it lah; which eventually led me to clean that dirty fella up. Hahahaha!

So drama right, I know. Who says your electronic gadgets are feeling-less eh, they know when they need a bath ok!

-sayang dear Mac hubby-

MUACKS!!

-act cute, I "heart" you!-

Oh yes Amos, dun forget to clean your Mac wife, it's dirty already. LOL! Karina and Simon, dun forget too hor =P

Oops, I blogged again! Couldn't resist it lah. Haiya.

Excessive Blogging?

Pardon me if you think that I'm blogging too excessively this month. You see, I'm facing my Mac almost 24/7 a day, how not NOT to go into Blogger and post an entry on every mundane day right...

Other than blogging, I go onto Facebook to kpo* (aka busybody) people, play Mob Wars and up one level every single day, and hear Jabie whine at me for winning him by 30 levels =) I read good-humoured blogs like Daniel and kennysia.com, bimbotic ones like Xiaxue, super wordy ones like Karina and the rest are the usuals - all my friends' blogs.

I do lotsa readings on stupid entertainment news, Obama news (nope, not a fan of his at all), good logical and scientific reads, my school assignments' research etc, online. Basically, I haven't been watching TV for so long, and MOBTV too. I missed the entire series of Calefare every Tuesdays bcos of evening class. Boooooooo!

Anyway, I have no idea why I'm blogging about random stuff like this, but I guess I was just sick and tired of doing my assignment, that's why. Hee!

Oh yes, I just discovered a not-so-awesome way of losing weight. Try living an owl's life, constantly under pressure and stress to finish up the assignments, eating your 2 (very small portions - due to lack of appetite, not bcos of anorexia) meals as you do your work, sleep 3-4 hours a day, pulling lotsa hair off, having bad facial complexion, looking like a deranged lady and not having any social life out there.

Yups, I did it and have successfully lost 2-3 kg. I dunno should I be happy for not being a piece of lard already, or should I be condemned for losing weight when I'm already quite slim in MY own opinion. My waistline dropped by 1 inch, it's a feat already, considering I haven't been toning up my body for years =\

Nevertheless I'm glad I managed to reach that figure in my current weight, bcos that was like 2 years only when I last saw it :D I know, I'm a vainpot ^^v No worries, it won't last long, at least after Youth Camp I'll be almost back to my original weight and I won't be blogging that often already =) Trust me. Heehee!

): New Stuff Please!

I'm quite upset. My silver necklace, that I've been wearing for the past few years, broke ):

I was combing my hair, head tilting towards the left, when my hand got stuck in the necklace, and I combed my hair with much force; hence it snapped ):

Bunny Yell

The pearl pendant that Janice gave me for my 21st birthday pressie, rolled onto the parquet floor, happily (I think so, free from the "chains" - figuratively).

I wanna get a new silver necklace and bracelet, a pair of spectacles and Levi's Jeans, more beauty sleep and a smooth facial complexion once again! So many "craters and land mines" on my face now ):

Ok, enough of whining. Back to that not-so-Mini assignment due this Friday ):

Sighs.

Faggort! -pukes-

Rain Chang - a faggort/ shemale/ "ah kua"/ transvestite/ It... etc, and the list goes on.

Pardon the nudity in this pic and in Its' photo album in Friendster. I dun care about PG, NC16, M18 or R21 now. Just go see It!

That is Its (no idea is that a male or female, ya know) Friendster link. Googled It when I saw It featured on Xiaxue's blog juz now. Goodness gracious, I almost puked out my lunch on my Mac when I saw all 64 pics in Its profile. Super disgusting.

The costumes and lingerie It wore. The ghostly makeup It had on Its face. The odd figure It has. The poses It took with that camera (I'm surprised the camera lens din break). The captions It put on every pic. The nauseating look of It. The comments in Its profile, those blind guys has put about It being hot and sexy and all. OMG!

What kinda name is Rain for It? Chinese name is 张慧姿, such a beautiful name yet It has that name. My name also got the character "慧" leh, can dun disgust us ladies anot eh!?!!

Anyway, my stomach is churning non-stop now, just at the thought and the mental images of It. Gawd! Very 反胃!

Assignments Ending!

2 more big assignments to clear and I'm officially free from school! That does not include guaranteed good results alright. I'm just hoping that I won't do as badly as I anticipated lah =\

When you are mugging, you tend to snack alot. I'm no better, and I discovered this Cailler chocolates are like one of the best milk chocolates I've ever eaten lah! Switzerland has really got good stuff man! Hahaha!

I miss shopping so much, haven't gone for a decent shopping/window shopping trip in months! Online shopping is good but sometimes you dunno the clothes' exact condition till you receive it in the mail lor ): shopping at the mall offers the opposite but the price is higher bcos of overhead costs, so its just as bad lah. Sian!

Ok, time to do that conceptual design report of that trainer aircraft. Zzzzzzz!

More Sleep Please!

Good news of the week! I managed to sleep a full 9 hours last night. I'm so thankful to God! Wahahahaha!

I literally concuss-ed when I got home last night, I was super shag out. Din managed to eat Pa's birthday cake that I bought after net either. Haha! I feel so bad sia... and then, I made a fool outta myself dozing off in the bus, I almost slept during net lesson and prayer time and I dozed off while standing in the train. Ha!

Much drama and shitty last-minute happenings b4 I managed to submit that major assignment to school, and I was on the verge of pulling my hair out. I finished my work 1 hour later than projected and I was late for everything that I had planned for the rest of the evening.

I smelt bad from all the stress and all so I had to bathe b4 leaving home. The printing of 80 pages have some printing formating screw up. The rearranging of the pages were messy bcos stupid Microsoft Word did not print out page numbers as requested. It took me eternity to find a shop that could bind my thick report.

The school office was closed when I arrived, bcos I was 1 hour late -.- Had no choice but to leave a note and post my sucky work into their mailbox downstairs. Hopefully they dun think its junk mail and throw it away =\ I'll cry my eyes out man!

The only thing I was thankful was that throughout this entire evening drama, every traffic light I went to changed to green and public transportation I took, all came almost immediately. What are the odds man.... Haha!

Despite all the overdue deadlines I have, I thank God for giving me the unimaginable strength to go through the past 2 weeks doing this crap-ass report. I reckon that I only managed to sleep about 20 odd hours in total. Thank you for all your prayers, I totally appreciate it. I could have died long ago during this stressful period, bcos of serious lack of sleep but I din. Haha!

On the brighter side of this whole crap, 4 down, 3 to go! Arghhh!! This is the longest battle I've fought in my studying life so far. This last lap for the degree course is far too long, I need Youth Camp to come NOW!!!

Happy Birthday to Papa!

Happy 54th birthday to you, Papa!

You are an awesome father, except that you are somewhat following Mummy's footsteps, too naggy already. You also like to repeat your stories far too many times that we know what's the next word coming outta your mouth, and what's the moral of the story already. -think Tan Ah Teck in Under One Roof- Hahaha!

God is pleased with you and the blessings showered upon you, are in abundance. You are a wise guy, always putting your 4 troublemakers children first instead of yourself. -hugs- Your teachings and "lectures" are full of wisdom and experience in them, and I hope to be in your footsteps in that aspect.

We want more holiday trips though, we wanna sit on SIA aeroplanes again and snatch for window seats like how we did so donkey years back.

Anyway, we hope you like your birthday present, provided your lovely son remembers to buy it back, on our behalf =)

We love you loads, even though you dunno how to read my blog and we all dun express it out in words. Haha! We shy lah.... -hides behind Mummy's legs-

Eh wait a minute, Mummy is shorter than all of us now! LOL!

Studying = No Life!

I feel so no-life nowadays. I have been cooping myself all day and night at home, doing all my assignments. Other than going for church activities and services, I think I'm just sitting on my black armchair (birthday pressie from Han Ping btw), and fixing my eyes on my Mac, doing my work and surfing the net. Sucks.

Been dozing off at the table, while doing my work midway for the past two days. Awesome, I know. Haven't touch/lie on my comfy bed for days already. I literally live at my study table. This will be my first and only time in my studying life, that I'm ever doing this man. Anyway, the next thing I realised when I wake up, was to find 3 precious hours have went by for nuthin. Sighs. Pathetic.

I'm having second thoughts about furthering my degree now =\

Why is it that whenever I go onto Facebook, I see those frenz of mine studying in the US or in Australia - always got sufficient/excess time to sightsee and tour the country with their all-nationalities frenz, party and snap pics all day long, eat yummy food and grow fat; and yet still manage to get good grades? Is it just me or the education system and lifestyles there just differ so much from Singapore eh?

I haven't gone shopping in ages. All I do is blog on every other no-life day. I can't eat during the day, no appetite bcos my body is in the sleeping mode. Owls dun eat in the day. Sighs. Everything's going haywire, my deadlines too. I've yet to submit my already-due killer report yet. So stressed. How to finish?! This is crazy, I'm only 2/3 done! ARGHHH! I got another assignment due tml night too and I haven't started anything yet.

Just great, ya know.

-bangs head on the wall-

I feel so shitty, demoralised, shagged out and just sian now lah.

Stupid!

No no, I'm not in a bad mood, yet. Not trying to scold anyone, yet.

I was listening to Vanessa Fernandez's "You Don't Need to Speed" from the Sounds of the Underground album, that I decide to google her. By the way, her voice is good. You should listen to that above music track and hear her clear voice.

So after googling her up, I discovered something else about her. Little did I know that she was an ex-member of the now disbanded local hip-hop band, Urban Xchange. Have you ever heard of them? Haha!

"In 2000, her group Urban Xchange took Singapore and the region by storm. The regionally successful band had a song featured on the Rush House 2 soundtrack, sang on a specially re-packaged Asian edition of Brian McKnight’s “Superhero” album, was nominated at the MTV Asia Awards 2002, and performed with Stacie Orrico at the MTV Asia Awards 2004.

I was then inspired to search for that single hit, Stupid.

"Stupid. I feel sick and tired."..... literally (of my assignments and Microsoft Office)!

It's been ages since I last heard this great track, at least I think it's great to listen to. Haha! I remembered I was so into this song when it was first played on the local radio stations, I reckon it was 98.7 FM.

Well back then I only listened to that station bcos of Glenn Ong (the DJ himself) and his late-night show, The Ego Trip (with the Misfits: Honky Tong, Simone and Godpa). Glenn was the voice for all 3 radio characters. It's like a lil radio drama serial going on every night. The jokes, the script and the music, were good =) After Glenn left for Class 95 FM, so did I jumped over to his morning show. Wait a minute, are you guys lost already? LOL! You can read that I'm quite a listener of Glenn eh =P or maybe an alien, bcos no1 knows what I'm blabbering on about right....

Back to the main topic, I remembered searching high and low for this track bcos at that time, Kaazza and Napster (those popular downloading software back in 2001) din have it. Somehow or rather, I got the track and got Madeline to burn a CD out for me. Heehee!

I'm glad to have heard this song once again, many many years later. They sang a song for Coca Cola commercial once, and by 2005 they were gone from the local music scene. What a waste of talented local hip-hoppers.

So, this is another song called Buzzin' by them back then. Sounds not bad =) Anyway Vanessa Fernandez is the one wearing that head bandana. Love her voice, did I mention that yet? Enjoy!

Ya, back to my assignment again. Stupid.

Microsoft Word Sucks!

I'm so frustrated with that shitty Major assignment!! I hate Microsoft Office! I hate everything about Windows now!! Can't even do that bloody diagram properly w/o screwing up my alignments?! AAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! -pulls lotsa hair out-

Saw this -same ol' quiz- thing on Celeste's blog, so I decided to chill and do that. I'm pleased with the result. Ha! Do you not agree, mister boyfriend?

I Rise at Dusk, Slumber at Dawn

It's a bright and cheery Friday morning, as compared to yesterday's gloomy and dull morning. The weather is still cooling though, reminds me of the times in Cameron Highlands. Heehee! Speaking of which, I might be going there again next month with my family. LOL! Oh wells, we'll see. Tour fully booked, no chance liao ): sadded.

I feel so sleepy and hungry now. Was up all night doing that major assignment report, although there has been an extension in the submission date. There had been a confusion on purpose amongst the students, and it worked =) so thank God! I was praying so hard for it lor, judging by the amount of time I have left. Now I can submit next Tuesday instead of tomorrow. Hahaha!

My bedtime is totally screwed up, my face is super oily now, I'm having a bad case of pimple breakout and I look hideous, haggard and ugly this week ): Looking on the brighter side, I just need to endure this body torture for another month. Ahhh!! I need sleep and/or food, whichever that come first lah.

I got no inspiration to do the report, I dunno how to do and this is bad. Have been depending on God to help me float thru the big tsunami of assignments, I've been doing great for the last 3 assignments but I'm still left with 4 more! OMG! It's like never-ending lah.

My body is aching like crap, my eyes are so tired, my face look like Mark Lee now and I'm left with no more brain juice ): sobs!

Forget it. I go sleep now. Whatever for, that I'm grumbling here wasting my precious sleeping time. I have no idea what I'm typing already. Nites!

-I rise at dusk, slumber at dawn. I'm a vampire in the making. Die.-

Where Is The Love?

This is gonna be an entry, that serves as a harsh reminder to us all. The reality of human relationships, ever-changing like a Taiwanese 1000-episodes soap drama.

Pardon me if I sound too "emo" here. Ha!

Here I go.....

It's funny thinking of,
  • how easily a long friendship/relationship can be broken off by some words, yet it is so difficult to maintain it.
  • how words can be so easily misinterpreted to the way you want it to be, yet so difficult to correct and undo the unintended "misinterpretation".
  • how easy assumptions can change a perception of a person's thinking, yet so difficult to change the mindset of a prejudiced mindset.
  • how easy a person can insist that he's right in his thinking, yet so difficult for him to accept other people's suggestions.
  • how easy it is to upset someone you care and love for, yet so difficult to apologise to that same person for the hurt you have caused to them.
  • how easy it is to accuse people of something they haven't done, yet so difficult to prove it and pick up the broken pieces of the friendship/relationship.
  • how easy past grudges in your heart, can affect your mindset towards your present friendship/relationship now, and yet so difficult to forgive those people.
  • how easy is it to break the heart(s) of those who loved and cared for you, yet so difficult to see the hurt and mistakes you have done to them.
    If only.....

I can go on for days, but I think we all should learn to mature our mindsets and not jump to conclusions so easily. Clarify your doubts out and not bottle them up, until you wanna explode like a volcano one day and "kill" everyone around, who cares for you.

These are some of the many relationships I treasure dearly in my heart, especially over this past 10 years.

It's sad to know how friendships/relationships can be so easily broken and so difficult to mend them back. Sighs. Treasure those around you, especially your family and close friends. Dun neglect anyone of them, just bcos you're so busy on one end of the balance.

Why kill the happy memories that we all once shared together, just bcos of some uncleared misunderstandings? Is it really worth sacrificing the friendship/relationship? Sighs.

It's so disheartening and saddening, you know. The tears, the exasperation, the frustration, the anger and the annoyance. Do you even know?

I/We love you, no matter how shitty things have become.

Forgive and forget. Period.

I Hate.....

3 assignments down. 3 or 4 more to go. Quite satisfied with the work done so far, but the killer assignment is the AO3 major report. I'm so dead. I really dunno how to do, whileas most of my classmates are almost done with it. 75% leh... my gosh! Actually every assignment is a killer lah. Shit.

Anyway I realised I can focus best when there's music plugged right in my ears =) and, speaking of music, I'm getting very very pissed by that hp of mine. It is so annoying to have it shut down automatically everytime it encounters a small impact, the charger just can't charge the hp properly despite inserting it into the hole properly, the lil space allocated to keep smses in the inbox and more.

I was feeling so mad just now, I smashed it on my books (to soften the impact, if it ever helped), and well, the hp went off and so did the "chinese bride" (her body came out actually) hp accessory hanging on my hp. Sighs. The "bride" was still smiling, as usual.

It was a lil gift Shi Yun gave us, her jie-meis, during her wedding lah. Had to glue it back in the end. So much for my urge to smash that annoying hp. It is still working, other than the occasional shutdowns.

Digressing abit, I'm going Youth Camp during my birthday week again. I'm rooming with the 2 sisters (the youths will know who lah), and I'm still looking for another girl, preferably one who is strong enough to hang in there with me. I dun wanna room with some weird girl please. Thanks.

Back to that stupid horrible major assignment, due this Saturday. I'm so dead. I hate >50 pages reports ): I hate using my Mac for school purposes. I hate staying up late just to do homework. I hate not being able to sleep on my comfy bed on a cooling night like tonight. I hate to say, "I hate...".

Goodnight.

Me Me Me!

Finally, some pics of me =) on various occasions. Hahaha!
Table 6, at Han Wen & Ivy's wedding dinner =) beautiful!

Kuanyi and I, at Aman's wedding (:
Lovely Jem and me at Care & Share event, busy doing video =\
Trying out Kristen's weird lines' shades :D she said I look good ^^v
The stupid weird weather, almost every night. Suddenly heavy downpour, with thunder and lightning; next thing you know, so humid and warm w/o any wind. WTH!

Chocolates from Dubai, courtesy of Cher Hao's dad =P

Paintball session with my classmates, about 6 months back. Awesome!

Hmm, b4 you stroll down further, beware of the evolution of a human to a baboon-lookalike. Ok, here we go.......

Ok, that was my most normal pic that night, rushing my assignment. Ha! Bo liao, I know, but I need to destress, just like you all. I ain't no superwoman.

Anyway, I thought this pic of me look rather good =) heehee!

A mixture of retard and prettiness! Whatever.

Happenings in October

We had a different tutorial lesson somewhere last month. It was at the Air Force Museum.  I came late =) but who cares....

Our tutor was busy talking about the different parts of the military aircraft, some of the design loopholes and such.

We look like tourists here.... Call ourselves Singaporeans eh...

My classmate caught a total unglam pic of me, staring at sth at the ceiling. Eeeks!
The few girls in our class =) missing one more lady though.
Our very "happy" class pic of BEngSc. Aerospace Operations, Batch 12 & 13!

After that, I met Kuanyi at Eunos, we went to Aman's wedding at Bukit Panjang. Bad choice we both made. To and fro, we wasted 3 hours of our lives travelling, literally from east to west. We only spent 45mins at the wedding. It was raining when we arrived at BP. Ran in our awesome clothes like retards. Sighs.

The food was sub-standard for a Malay wedding. Disappointing. Din compensate the agony we went thru at all. Took a pic with the couple. but have yet to receive it, to show you guys. Ha!

NG~

Kuanyi put that "good" sign to show the irony here. LOL!

I was glad the angbao I gave was above my conscience. Should have gave lesser bcos so many minus points for all the travelling, drenched clothes and yucky food served to us. We ended up eating McDonalds at Lot 1 b4 the dreaded long train journey home, standing all the way back to Tampines.

I was so thirsty when I reached home. We were literally talking non-stop to each other for 4 hours straight, bcos there were only both of us there. Cher Hao and Rachel apparently went earlier in the afternoon, when I was still at the museum. Sighs.

Anyway, have a blissful marriage to that couple. I'm having second thoughts about attending another Malay wedding lah. Make sure your wedding decor, location, food, door gift etc, are really sincerely meant for your guests, and not just for the sake of formalities.

I think Chinese weddings are far better well-planned, judging by Han Wen & Ivy's and John & Shi Yun's weddings that I've attended 2 months back. The lil details really matter to the guests lah. The angbao is then worth giving! Maybe a wedding planner will be better, if you can't afford the time for all these meticulous planning. Ha!

Oh, we had a surprise birthday BBQ party for Beng, the following day. It was Hawaiian theme! Very good planning done by Tiffany and Ying Xi, although there were lil hiccups here and there. We totally enjoyed ourselves and I'm glad Beng himself was happy that evening =)

See how busy I am, blogging about last month's stuff. HA! Anyway, I foresee more sleepless nights due to my assignments and I'm sick again. Arghhh! Curse that leaking tap.....

Imitation of MacBook?

Had wanted to blog about this months back, but haven't had time to.

So, I've heard about this MSI Wind laptop PC, and well, I felt it looked a tad too much like Apple's MacBook Air and Macbook. Hence the word, imitation.

Why not we do some comparison since competition is so stiff between Windows and Apple currently, I think it'll be a fair and impartial opinion right?

Ok, as of MSI Wind's official site claims, the technical specs of that look-alike white Mac, are as follows:

:: The New Intel® Atom™ 1.6GHz Processor
The Wind, an acronym for “Wi-Fi Network Device,” featuring a speedy and energy-efficient Intel® Atom™ 1.6GHz Processor to provide longer operation hours and better mobile lifestyle.
:: 10” Wide LCD Display
The Wind, equipped with a 10” wide (1024×600 resolution) LCD screen, provides better comfort while operating. In addition, the 1024×600 resolution can fully display WebPages which make it ideal for internet browsing.
:: The Latest LED Power-saving Backlight Technology
The Wind’s display features embedded LED power-saving backlight technology, which provides superior color quality and brightness.
:: Convenient Magnifying Capability

The Wind is equipped with the magnifying technology; users can magnify words displayed on the monitor which makes it easier for viewing photos, editing or reading documents.

:: Special Insert Mold Roller Technology (IMR)

The special IMR technology protects the notebook from fading and also reducing the fingerprints which makes the Wind always look glare and outstanding

:: The Lightweight Design

The Wind is lightweight and ultra-portable, measuring 7.08 inches wide by 10.23 inches long, and weighing just 2.3 pounds. (with 3 Cells battery)

Additional stuff:

MacBook Air.

A noticeable graphics boost.

With a new integrated graphics processor, MacBook Air changes the game and just about everything you do with it. The NVIDIA GeForce 9400M provides up to an amazing 4x performance boost over the original MacBook Air.1Photos appear in iPhoto quickly. Transitions in Keynote are seamless. Games play more smoothly. And movie and video playback is better than ever before. No other ultraportable offers such amazing performance in such a slim design.

The brilliance of Multi-Touch.

MacBook Air includes a spacious trackpad with Multi-Touch technology. You can pinch, swipe, or rotate to zoom in on text, advance through a photo album, or adjust an image. Or try out the new four-finger swipe. With this gesture, you can navigate up and down to use Expose modes or left and right to switch between applications.

A smart LED display.

The LED-backlit display provides instant full screen brightness the moment you open MacBook Air. LED technology also makes the display more power efficient, which translates to long battery life. And since this display is mercury-free with arsenic-free glass, it’s as easy on the environment as it is on the eyes.

Thin is in the details.

The innovative now-you-see-it, now-you-don’t port hatch flips down to reveal (and closes to hide) all the ports you really need: a headphone jack, a USB 2.0 port, and a new Mini DisplayPort that supports DVI, dual-link DVI, and VGA video output. The Mini DisplayPort connects to the new Apple LED Cinema Display, and it supports other displays up to 30 inches.

More room for everything.

The MacBook Air hard drive is now larger at 120GB. So there’s plenty of storage for work, play, and whatever happens in between. Or choose a 128GB solid-state drive, which has no moving parts, for enhanced durability.2

Standard Serial ATA: 120 Gigabytes. Standard Solid State: 128 Gigabytes.

The battery is slim. The performance isn’t.

Like everything on MacBook Air, the battery doesn’t compromise power for portability. You can access the web wirelessly for 4.5 hours.3

Battery life: 5 hours wireless productivity.
Intel Core 2 Duo processors.

Faster is better.

MacBook Air performance is as impressive as its form, thanks to its 1.6GHz or 1.86GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. This chip was custom built to fit within the compact dimensions of MacBook Air. And now it’s faster than ever. The new 1066MHz frontside bus, additional L2 cache (6MB total), and 2GB of faster DDR3 RAM provide plenty of speed and memory for working with your favorite applications.

Built-in iSight camera.

MacBook Air also includes a built-in iSight camera so smartly integrated, you hardly notice it’s there.
The iSight camera and iChat software make video chatting easy anywhere there’s a wireless network.4

Beautifully sweet~ loves!

From the stunning aluminum unibody to the powerful graphics architecture, the new MacBook makes progress a beautiful thing.

Macbook with lid closing

Square one: a solid block of aluminum.

Instead of assembling a notebook from many minor parts, the new MacBook was reinvented from just one: the new, solid-aluminum unibody enclosure. It gets full credit for making MacBook thinner, lighter, and even more stunning. But it’s not all beauty. Because of the unibody, this MacBook is also durable. It was designed to take on your world. So slip it into your backpack or briefcase and pull it out wherever you go — it’s impressive in any setting.Learn more about design

Using the new trackpad on MacBook notebook

Even the keyboard is advanced.

The MacBook keyboard is solid, responsive, and comfortable. Just put your fingers on the crisp keys and you’ll feel pure typing bliss. An illuminated keyboard, a popular feature of MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, now comes standard on the 2.4GHz MacBook model. So when you’re in low-light settings such as airports or lecture halls, you can always see what you’re typing. It’s a luminous feature for anyone on the go.

Hey, where’s the button?

The amazing new trackpad doubles as a button — just press down anywhere and consider it clicked. No separate button means there’s 39 percent more room for your fingers to move on the silky glass surface. Now that Multi-Touch gestures have come to MacBook, all the function is in your fingers. Use two fingers to scroll up and down a page. Pinch to zoom in and out. Swipe with three fingers to flip through your photo libraries. Rotate to adjust an image with your fingertips. Using the new four-finger swipe gesture, swipe up or down to access Exposé modes and left or right to switch between open applications. If you’re coming from a right-click world, you can right-click with two fingers or configure a right-click area on the trackpad. The more you use the Multi-Touch trackpad, the more you’ll wonder what you ever did without it.

Simply stunning.

The beautifully seamless, remarkably thin design isn’t the only gleaming quality of the LED-backlit display. Open your MacBook and you’re instantly greeted by glorious full screen brightness. The aluminum enclosure is perfectly integrated with a glass overlay that stretches to the edge of the notebook, providing a completely unobstructed picture. Anything you view, including the glossy widescreen display itself, is a spectacular experience. The LED-backlit display is more power efficient. And it’s mercury- and arsenic-free, so it’s greener than ever.Learn more about MacBook and the environment

Ports with possibilities.

MacBook is iPod, iPhone, digital camera, and external hard drive ready. You’ll find two USB 2.0 ports to connect a wide variety of peripherals. You’ll also see a Mini DisplayPort — a perfect fit for the new Apple LED Cinema Display. The MagSafe power port gives you a trip-proof connection to safeguard your system and valuable data. And you can use the Kensington lock slot to protect your MacBook, battery, and hard drive.

Think fast.
