Dilemma

A wrong decision right from the start, spells disaster.
If you dun wake up in time to check on it,
it grows immersely overnight and you sink deeper into it.
Once you are in it, its difficult to get out of it.

It's like miry clay or quicksand,
it sucks you in so easily like a vacuum cleaner,
yet it makes escape such a challenge,
that you just wanna give up and sink in altogether.

I wanna get out of it so badly,
but I'm caught in between,
bcos both offers comfort and relief to me,
in some way or other.

I sense troubles a-coming soon.
I can't hide from this secret anymore.
I wanna stop leading you on blindly,
to let you know to stop wasting your time.

I have asked and prayed for guidance.
No reply.
I'm getting impatient, that's for sure,
but I know its not time to know yet.

Define "correct timing" to me.
Erase that feeling that creeps within me,
that lusts after my heart day and night.
I need to stop thinking about this.

I'm messing up myself now.
I'm contradicting my words once again.
What happened to all my resolutions I've made?
Forgotten, buried or gone from my memories?

Stress. Fun. Stress. Fun Again Soon!

-EDITED!-
Finally EAM is done and over with, other than the fact that results are out real soon =X The recent weekend was packed, as usual.

Met up with my Infineon ex-colleagues at Heerens Vil'age, for a lil farewell dinner for Kang. He is leaving for Malacca on end September to work outstation.

Din manage to do much catching up bcos Rachel was held up at office, resulting in both Kang and her turning up so late. Did caught up with Alan instead, he is certainly much happier at Epson now =) Good for you dude!

Tortelli with Lobster & Crab =\ -nuthin much inside-

Bundaberg Root Beer: taste abit like beer, abit like root =) NICE!!

"I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry", M18 rating as it has some gayism content. However it does not promotes gayism at all. Its good for laughs and reminds you that being straight is good ;p

"Underdog" is super funny and adorable! Go watch it, the beagle is so funny. Dr Simon is a short retard scientist and his narcissistic*(自恋) partner is a joke himself. It tickles me whenever Dr Simon tells his dogs," Simon says," Get that dog!" etc..." You gotta watch it to understand what I'm blabbering about lah.

I love the rhymes the scriptwriter actually bothers to think of - very entertaining! E.g. Underdog's motto: "There's nuthin to fear, Underdog is here!"

I love the lil red U pullover and blue cape for ShoeShine aka Underdog, the almost-real sonic boom effect whenever Underdog flies off to save more people, and of course the bloopers at the end of the movie. This is good =D check out the main website!

Photo snapping away like crazy at Bugis. Distorted faces taken using camera reflection. -there's more of such pics to come, from Yiru-
Church was fun and fulfilling, topped with some new secrets I've learnt from those lil kids again. I managed to relax my tired brain for 4 straight days b4 today's tutorial - for the start of the last module for this academic year.

Saw another rainbow (sun rays reflection) on my way to class today again. It din have an arc though, but it still made me happy with joy ^^

The rays of light from the sun~

Giving off the spectrum of colours~~

Looked so magical and mysterious...

As if God is behind those clouds, too holy to be seen!

The tutor for AO2 is super funny, his sense of humour is very interesting and he rolls his eyes when he is sarcastic. When he intro-ed his name Ernie to us, I instantly thought of Sesame Street. Very typical of me, I know.

He speaks quite fast and expects us to know every lil thing that he says already. He made us almost pee in our pants and skirts when he showed us the assignments and tutorials pages, totally up to countless pages. I din bother to count them, dun be silly.

He is quite a good entertainer, to some of us. He mentioned that the contact number he gave us was a paging number. We all went stunned. Yes he still carries a pager up to now, bcos he dun like to be interrupted when driving, which is very true. Everyone was laughing at him bcos no1 at this current high-technological era, especially in Singapore actually carries a pager anymore.
Motorola Pager, it once had its heyday in the 90s in Singapore...

He then showed us that ultimate black paging device, attached on the side of his belt. The class literally went silent for that one second and an uproar of laughter followed suit. One of my classmates actually bothered to ask further," Sir, how to page one ar? Must press what buttons after dialling the numbers?" Ernie replied," Press double stars lah!"

He then went on to say," I dun understand why you people nowadays like to change handphones so often.... Look at mine, -takes out his navy-blue Nokia 3310 out- see, its still usable. I still can call somemore..." The class laughed again, what a joke. I reckon he dun sms much given the technological mindset he's having right now.

Nokia 3310, very durable and lasting!
Kids, in case you happen to be born after 1995 and/or you reading this entry with a blur expression, you are forgiven, Pagers and Nokia 3310s never came across your lil hands b4, or rather lil chance lah. You only know computer games like Maple and Dota, Sony Ericsson and Nokia handphones, touch-screen PDAs etc. Ok, I'm digressing too far off already.

Anyway this module is expected to finish in a flash, at the super intensively fast rate that we are going. Lectures are all compressed together into 19 hours over a period of 5 days, starting this Sunday 10am to 5pm -.-!

Another 5 more tutorials and its the so-called Quiz (30% weightage) already. I foresee more white hairs popping out, lesser blogging, beauty sleep and play. I think I'll need to seek help from the dudes again real soon....

Classmates were just telling me that EAM lecturer is gonna call up those failures one by one this Friday once he's done marking our papers =\ Sir, please dun call me!! I MUST PASS!! The previous intake of students who managed and scraped thru this module last year, were half mocking and half teasing us about this. So mean lah!

After AO2 ends, its summer vacation for the Aussies and tropical monsoon winter season for the Asians. I have begun planning for the BIG break already, heehee! 4 long months to play non-stop, YAY!! Its late, I ought to be sleeping soon. I think I'll start my revision and notes-reading on tml night =) I must be guai* (good) ^^

Oh yes, 中秋节快乐!25th September is Mid-Autumn Festival. The moon is super big and round tonite, and will still be for the next 2 days =) I haven't eat a single piece of mooncake or play lantern yet for this year, what a waste! I miss the childhood days...

Full moon but cloudy night....

Last but not least, check out this link: An Interview with God! Very nice and meaningful, you can even download it as a screensaver, to remind you of this lil conversation with the Almighty.

-yawns- Oh well, a busy week awaits ahead for me. Till then, savour every lil word I've written tonite =) Nites, its 4.30am already!

Never Stop Giving Thanks to God!

Thanks all for your concern regarding the recent incident about my Pa, in the previous entry Treasure Your Family. Greatly appreciate it =) Pa is recovering fine now and is resting alot more, but he still likes to anyhow eat food. Ma is always nagging like no tomorrow. Like father like daughter ^^v Being able to eat is a blessing - 能吃是福!

My fave Chicken-and-Cheese Roti John at Simpang Bedok ;p

My last assignment for EAM is finally done and I submitted on time last Thursday. Thank God I managed to complete in the nick of time lor. Its just weird thinking how I managed to complete my assignment so quickly lor.

I'm quite ashamed to say I'm still a big procrastinator and had only started my assignment on Tuesday night. Deadline was Thursday evening 7.30pm. So I only had about 45 hours from the time I started, after deducing beauty sleep and slack time, I'm left with about 22 hours =)

Trust me, this kinda assignment is not as easy as it seems to be ok. So I started scouting around for help, from classmates and engineering students. Lo and behold, I chanced upon my old primary school fren, June on MSN. By the way, I just love MSN bcos I always received lotsa info and help from fellow frenz via this chat program.

June is currently in NTU Year 3, majoring in Mathematics, if I'm not mistaken. I tell you, it ain't easy literally studying maths. Every1 knows maths needs to be practised to grasp the main concepts and formulas; but June actually needs to study how those crazy concepts and formulas actually affect your maths equations and solutions in the end! I'm like," Are you mad??? Who in the world studies maths????"

So I was chatting happily with her when suddenly God reminded me about June's major. I was like,"AHA!!" I causally asked her if she was willing to help me with my lil assignment, she agreed readily. Heehee~ She promised me the answers by Thursday morning and I waited anxiously and continued to stare at my old and grey laptop for the whole of Wednesday....

Thursday finally came, it was a long wait. I got out of bed bright and early at 11am (that's considered early for me already) and immediately checked Gmail. YES!! I saw her name on my email and I eagerly downloaded the attachment. I was so excited to see the maths pro's solutions.

Gasps! She actually simplify the entire question into just 3 freaking steps! OMG! Pro liao... She did that same 3-steps-solution thing for the next few questions. I was so amazed, as I compared answers with one of my classmates' many-steps-answer. God still loves me even tho I'm such a lazy girl sumtimes.

Of course, I understood what I was reading and copying. The stress level was at its max due to the time constraint, I tell you, I almost went kuku* (crazy) with joy when I finally finished the assignment on Excel and on paper. Many thanks to June! -muacks-

My old-and-grey laptop hung on me countless times during this past week and I ain't very happy about it lor. I thought my assignment was gone everytime the laptop hangs. Sighs. My external hard disk also screwed up on me too. Sum1, pls bless me with a new laptop soon =D

Speaking of which, there's been discussions with Pa about getting a new laptop, once the time is ripe. Heehee! Hopefully its soon, I need good lobangs now to KIV* (keep in view) ;p Oh, Amos has been promoting Apple Macbook to me for the longest time this year, and I'm almost convinced to get it already. Hahaha! Amos makes a fine salesman one day.

Back to the main topic, I finally submitted the assignment to the receptionist in school, with a gigantic smile on my face =DD The burden immediately rolled off my shoulders and I happily ran off for net, for the 1st time since EAM started =)

-the end of EAM assignment saga-
p.s: still praying hard that I can pass this module =X

Anyway the weather this week has been quite humid and stuffy suddenly; as compared to the cooling weather we had for the past few weeks. People, do drink more h2o to hydrate your complexion and body. Take care of your health ar, dun fall sick. Off to bed for beauty sleep now =)

Treasure Your Family!

I never knew just dialling 3 numbers on the telephone takes less than 1 second, until last night. 995 can be a scary set of numbers to dial.

Pa had started vomiting since last evening after his dinner at his workplace, all the way till the ambulance arrived at our house. Couldn't remember what the doc said, I think its stomach flu or sth.

I was so worried and scared for him, so heart pain when I heard him continuously vomited in his room. He was so weak till he couldn't walk and was groaning in pain. His head was spinning and he was like semi-conscious already. He was in a super groggy state.

The ambulance took about 10mins to come, quite fast already lah. The main medic, a Malay lady, was very calm and asked the necessary questions on Pa's medical history and all. Very good job.

Ma followed with the ambulance, while I walked super fast from home to CGH* (Changi General Hospital). I reached just 1 minute after the ambulance touched A&E doors. Thank God for long legs, amen! Even that Malay medic was surprised =)
A&E

Soon, the entire family was down within the next 10 minutes at A&E. Doc din say much but put Pa into the Observation Room. I almost felt like I was in a Mediacorp drama serial already. Haha! Oops, did I just laughed? =X

Pa was kinda dehydrated from the constant vomiting and was given 2 packs of Sodium Chloride to replenish the sudden loss of body fluids. He sure was exhausted from the happenings of the night, he just lie on the bed flat and snored away loudly lah!

Thank God for answering our prayers, Pa was feeling much better after that short nap. He was soon discharged after being cleared by the nice lady doc. Pa just recovered from gastric flu last week, now kana relapse again. Sighs.
She also mentioned that there were no signs of stroke or health-threatening symptoms, so thank God again. I was just worrying about that bcos of Pa's high blood pressure problem, when she mentioned all clear, I was so relieved ok.
Bro, sis and me

All he needs to do now is rest more and watch his diet more! So dreadful, never again would I wanna dial 995 =\ its just bad lah. Finally we are back home resting, so tired from the night's events. I pray that Pa will be able to sleep well tonite and get well very soon.

Everything is just happening so fast. Just 3 hours ago, the medics were here. Now, I'm back online blogging like its another quiet and uneventful night. Phew!

I'm treasuring my Pa even more than ever now. So scared sth bad will happen to him just now. Thank God yet again, I just can't thank Him enough lah.

Oh, my assignment deadline is in 17 hours time, and guess what, I'm not even halfway done yet. So difficult to do lor. Tell me that I'm still gonna pass this stupid idiotic module please!!!??!!!

Ying Xi's New House!

03.09.07: I decided to volunteer myself to help Ying Xi and her family with house-moving. They sure had lil stuff to move over, as compared to my family's. Moreover they have moved some of their stuff days earlier, left the rest of the old furniture lying around, they were given to her relatives.

All I did was help move some stuff here and there, as well as safeguarding their stuff. Haha! My wages: FOOD!!

Love Songs that Makes Me go Awwww

Brian McKnight - Back At One : this song is like heard about 10 years back. Still sound so good =)

98 Degrees, feat Mariah Carey - Thank God I Found You: so sweet....

Elliot Yamin - Wait for You : such a lovely song from an American Idol singer -sighs- I'm starting to like this dude already...

Ratatouille

Remy has love for good food, as well as a burning desire to become a gourmet chef. Obviously, this is rather far-fetched for a rat but opportunity knocks when a young boy, who desperately needs to keep his job at the restaurant despite not being able to cook to save his life, makes Remy a partner. Together they produced the finest ratatouille in all of France!

The plot was good, storyline was there, interesting comedy antics and its worth the money =) Overall: 3.5/5

I've yet to watch Hairspray and 1408 till now -.-!

Happy Birthday to Shi Yun!

Happy 21st Birthday to my dearest sister, Shi Yun!! Aka Poetic Cloud, literally translated from her name =)

Other nicks of hers include Crispy, Dead Cloud, Vege Head*(say in Hokkien) and more. Since we are nice people, we call her simply Shi Yun ^^v

Woo hoo~ 21 years old already!

Happy Birthday to you~~

Time sure flies man! Known her since Secondary 3, though we were not very good frenz back then. Reasons being, we had different cliques and she din really like my attitude then =\ Only my buddies and sister know what I was like, during my teenage years. Okok, I'm starting to sound real old now.

-counting my fingers- Geez! It's been like... this is the 7th year of our friendship, alongside with Alvin, Madeline, Cher Hao and Ying Xi! So much memories, both good and bad ones, yet too lil time to write them all down. Haha!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
We find pleasure in behaving like retard kids occasionally =)

We were so crazy about taking neoprints, playing volleyball and netball, sitting at the usual spot in the school canteen talking nonsense and many more. Poly days were especially crazier for us both, since we went to the same poly together - Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

It was mainly due to your rash decision for company in the same school, and of cos seeing how pitiful I was all alone in Engineering school. LOL! If you had went on to study in Nanyang Polytechnic, I think our friendship story with the rest would have been quite different today =D

Went thru all kinds of schoolmates, classmates, idiotic modules and lecturers, BGR issues, backstabbing and other painful lessons of life. Not forgetting, we became good frenz with Han Ping too! Certainly poly days were fun, but I dare say that it can't compare with the not-so-fun days.

At least we had lotsa K-Box sessions, chillouts and movies, lunches and dinners, shopping and more shopping together, very memorable birthday celebrations and the lil smses sent to our dearest buds. You guys are so dear to me =)

Now, all of us are either slogging our guts out for that miserly amount of monthly survival cash, or simply furthering our studies in the different universities now. I hope that one day, you too, can further your studies in doing something you really find passion and a future in.

After going thru much thick and thin together -ok, its starting to sound cheesy-, you know that we are always here for you, giving you the moral support you ever needed. All of us are quite different in character and personality, and I can say that we both are quite opposite!

Pretty Shi Yun and me ;p

She is the gu-niang* (ladylike) girl, I'm the garung* (fierce) one. She is the shopping queen, I'm the thrifty one. p.s: dun apply for credit cards hor! She can cry at the slightest joke or touching scene, I need more that just that.

She is super patient, I'm the impatient one. She is always punctual for appointments, I'm the Late Queen. She is the Chinese-speaking girl, I'm the English-speaking one. She eats lil, I eat alot. The list can just go on forever man.

You see, I'm glad we are so different bcos that's how we learnt to accept each other's differences and yet still can remain as buddies =) and NO, you are not FAT!! You are just right for your size hor. Dun think of slimming down anymore, else you'll look real weird lor.

Most of all, I'm glad you have greatly enjoyed the lil birthday celebration we have planned for you =) It sure made me and Ying Xi quite stressed for the past month, but looking at how the day ended off so well... Every drop of sweat and blood is worth it ^^

-pls see bottom part of Banquet, Mugging, Buddies entry: for more of the birthday celebration- Oh yes, and not forgetting that Guess handbag too!

Eh.. She's having fun cutting the cake in 4 different poses ;p

Hungry girls waiting for food, ended up attempting a cute pose for a pic ^^v

We are very glad that we got to know John slightly better this time round. Hopefully he will be game enough to join us for further gatherings if possible. Haha! Really hope that you will be happy always, today Sept 11th marks the day you officially step into adulthood. Responsibilities and committments will be added on, so hang on tight! Jiayou!!!

Let not our friendship with the other babes and dudes die off, but let's continue to lean onto each other for support always, in good or bad times! Hope you are having fun at Bintan right now with your colleagues. Very nice to celebrate your 21st birthday overseas. Haha! Love ya loads girl!
