Stressed = Desserts

Ratatouille looks delicious. I wanna watch it. Evan Almighty looks like modern day Noah's Ark, funny illustration of the Bible story, cute animals and interesting for people of all faiths. I wanna watch it. 1408 looks thrilling, scary, interesting and mind-intriguing. I wanna watch it more.

Been discussing and tying up lotsa loose ends for Shi Yun's 21st birthday planning, together with Ying Xi, Robyn, Alvin and Madeline. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that everyone will turn up and everything goes on smoothly, like a baby's butt =)

I got a packed September ahead and I dun intend to share it with you guys, bcos I reckon no1 interested lah. Haha! My organiser is always so messy with my scribbles of appointments and all. Maybe you can say I got a life, or rather I know how to make myself busy. Wait a minute, what in the world am I talking about here? I dunno man.

I realised that staying up late has bad effects on my nice body, after reading Sylvia's blog. Go to BRAIN DAMAGING HABITS and read. Dunno how true are those 'facts' but I'll play safe and change my bio-clock to normal hours again.

Still having trouble with EAM and I really need to sit down to go thru those crazy papers scribbled with tons of equations and formulas. Shall do so, like eh... soon? Got a packed weekend ahead lah. Hurhur~
How I wish being stressed can bring me desserts ;p

Final Theory Test is on the 12th, I've not opened that thick book of driving instructions n pictures yet. Joshua just passed his driving test today, great job dude!

Exam is on the 13th September, seems like a long way ya, but nope its only 2 weeks more! Have yet to fully grasp the concepts etc yet. Sighs, I'm so dead lah. But still, thanks to Chen Chuan for your encouragement, really appreciate it although I had no idea that you actually can speak such motivational words. Wheet!

Friday got the annual VFC Youth banquet, at Suntec City, Olio Dome. Everyone will be nicely dressed up and its time to let our hair down! Woo hoo~ most of them are on holidays and free from exam stress. Good for them, no big difference for me =\

Ok, I seriously need to do revision already. Blog may be less updated from now till mid September, but that doesn't mean that you guys should stop reading it. Hahaha! Ok, off to study now. I need lotsa new brain cells man.

Blabbering

Oh yeah, my results are out and I am so not happy about it once again. Sighs. So close to that distinction grade once again. I am so so so so pissed off ok. Very pissed off, as a matter of fact. *give thanks to God? 1 Thess 5:18... oh man!*

Hurray for 2 Credits in 1 sem >=(

Last Sunday evening was my nursery duty again, so as usual I was trying to capture funny candid moments of the babies. They are just so adorable lah. They annoy you terribly, but just that laughter or smile of theirs, will just warm your heart and make you forget your annoyance for them almost immediately lor.

Caleb, Samuel, Andrea, Thaddeus and me =)

Well, I'm done with my written assignment and I've proudly submitted in today ^^ I'm left with the Excel assignment. Sighs. After this, it will be more revision followed by exams and another set of assignments. Arghh!

Sometimes I really wish I'm working and not studying. But when I'm working, I wish I'm studying. I bet most working adults are thinking the same as me lah. Humans are just so contradictory, I dun understand why we are like that. Haha.

Can't we just go back to Adam & Eve days - in the Garden of Eden; happily eating, slacking, dating and fellowshipping with God. No politics, no deadlines, no stress or illnesses, no death, just laughter and joy every single day. I'm dreaming already. Sighs.

Pa also mentioned maybe this year-end holiday will be postponed till I-dunno-when. Darn! Clash of schedules so no choice, but I'm still quite unhappy about it. Been looking forward to this for months already lah.

So anyone interested in going for a short trip with me during end November or early December? Just b4 my 21st birthday will be good. Sighs. I can't wait for my 'aussie summer vacations', when SG is having tropical winter season. Bleahs.

Time to do that silly Excel assignment, due tml midnight. The lecturer is very nice to keep extending the deadlines bcos the guys in class really can whine like lil girls lor. LOL! I'm getting too whiny and irritating now. Ciaos~

You could see we were trying to act cute as well as retarded at the same time =\

That reminds me, I've yet to show you guys the zoo pictures I took last month, well at the Mandai Zoo. LOL! Shall do so soon, once my schedule aint that packed like this month. Madness, I tell you!

Psalms 23: The Lord is My Shepherd

This super-adorable video is actually a lil child's rendition of the Bible's Psalms 23. It is taken from Godtube, a Christian version of Youtube - an online community for sharing of Christian content.

Take a minute off to appreciate her efforts =)

Very busy with lotsa dealines this week, might be blogging lesser lor =\

Secret - 不能说的秘密!

Secret, 不能说的秘密, directed, produced and written by Jay Chou! Wow~ talk about being talented. Not just in music producing, now going into the multi-billion movie industry. He sure is rich ya. Still, I must say this, his 1st ever produced show has been worth my $7 =)

It has a slightly different story line from the usual Hollywood and Asia movies. It had a twist to the plot, like what everyone who have watched it would say too.

The lead actress, Lun-Mei Kwai, aka 路小雨, sure has this charisma in her although she looks like typical Plain Jane. Her acting skills are indeed not bad at all. Some lil stuff she did in the movie, kinda reminded me of Darren Ho lor, espcially the poking-dimple-on-the-face action -.-

Main actor, Jay Chou plays the piano as if he's a court typist - you know those ladies/guys who work in High Court, and type on the typewriter (30 years ago), now computers, i guess at the power speed of 100 wpm. Jay definitely spoke more lines in this movie, as compared to his previous one Initial D. LOL!

Speaking of Initial D, he got his tofu-making dad, Anthony Wong; to act as his principal dad this time round. No funny scenes of Anthony falling from the staircase when he's drunk, head bleeding and making tofu. More of those try-harder humour scenes this time round instead.

Those supporting actors also have great talents in playing those instruments - piano, violin, flute and all. I dun even have the simple determination to practise my acoustic guitar lah. Hahaha!

Go watch his piano battle with Nan Quan Mama's Yuhao, for the sake of winning a rare piano score, Swan, I think. It was for 小雨. They competed and played so rapidly w/o any scores! How in the world they ever memorise those tau-gay* (beansprouts) notes???!!! Siu Mei, can you play like them? If so, please demo and let it be an eye-opener to me man!

There were some loopholes in the script though, especially towards the ending. Haha! Bad news for Jay's fans, he died in the end, rather predictably. Sorry I'm just such a spoiler ^^v LOL!

Go watch it, its like comedy-romance kind. Back to mugging my assignments now. Sighs.

Rainbow: God's Promise to Mankind

After writing the below post Wait earlier on, I realised I was quite late for my evening class and rushed like crazy. Before that, the skies have been drizzling on and off, thus giving a cooling yet gloomy feeling to me. Din exactly help me cultivate the mood for going for later EAM class lor.

I was walking real fast like a giraffe, with my long legs; over the PIE via the overhead bridge to Simei. I looked at my watch, craps, 6.45pm! I am so late. Decided to look up at the sky, it has been an subconscious habit of mine for years already.

Lo and behold, the super duper beautiful rainbow! Wheet~ I was so taken aback by the sudden array of colours in the sky that I literally gasped and jumped slightly.

Fast reflexes told me to open my bag and take out my trusty Sony Ericsson W700i to snap this rare colourful arc of the sky. I was so excited~~ finally seeing a rainbow after many years =\

The colour-ful sight up in the sky that greeted me, as I was giraffe-walking on the overhead bridge...

A pretty BIG colour arc =) *pun intended*

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
An up-close shot! The colours are so cool~

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Last up-close shot of rainbow b4 rushing for class!

Alas, before I could appreciate the beautiful sight any further, it was already 6.50pm! I walked on to the MRT station rather happily, smiling to myself like a retard. That pretty rainbow surely did make my evening colourful =)

The rainbow instantly reminded me of God's continuous faithfulness and mercy towards mankind. The story of Noah's Ark and the Great Flood, that God has done to Earth many millions of years ago. Genesis 6 - 9 (in New International Version) depicts the story throughly.

This also reminds me of the upcoming movie, Evan Almighty (there's a lil trailer on the site homepage and animated ark history too!). The story line is the same as Noah's Ark, but interestingly it is set in modern USA now. I din know God was black and He likes to wear white clothes leh -.-

I'm not being a racist here, just prefer to see a fairer and younger shuai ge* (handsome dude) instead to act as God mah. LOL! The movie is coming to Singapore soon, I guess. So if you guys are planning to catch this movie, do feedback to me if its worth watching ^^

However EAM class was very black n' white. Maths formulas written with black marker on a whiteboard lah. I could not understand those silly differentiation and integration methods that quickly as I did b4 in my poly days. My grey matter is severely ageing fast!

That's when I realised that I had forgotten to eat my lunch and dinner b4 class. No wonder I couldn't concentrate well, not forgetting that stomach of mine was growling rather unhappily, like a silly old cat. Worse still, so coincidentally, the school pantry had no more biscuits in the drawers, which was rather unusual. All the biscuit tins were empty lah. Craps.

School sucks. I finally said it, sure feels good! The last time I recalled saying that was in 2006 Year 3 in NP lah. LOL! Oh well, I better stop blabbering and get to bed. I'm so tired from all the revisions of late. Bleahs. Goodnight!

Wait

I reckon most of you are waiting for this entry, rather eagerly hor. My blog title is well-said too. Been wanting to write an entry about this but couldn't place the words right back then. So now I'm ready and the brain is finally working =) Its kinda wordy in here with few pics, so brace up all you nerdy readers!

Three answers you would hear from the One up there, aka God our Father. Only one that we humans always wanna hear, the other two we never fail to strongly object and oppose.

"Yes", "No", "Wait"

Now now, go read on guys... Its not just Christian bullshit here. It relates to all people from all faiths or free-thinkers. Go, read on~

I believe that no matter how patient a person can be, there will always be a tinge of impatience somewhere in your heart. Waiting is sure difficult for me. Ask my buddies and they will scream out loud, a big fat YES. Be it waiting for your late friend to arrive to go shopping or catch a movie together, or even when the man is waiting for the ultimate response when he propose to his girlfriend.

Postponements and deferrals irritate us to the max, you can easily feel the frowns on your forehead already.

When we make important decisions in our lives; finding suitable jobs and weighing its future prospects, when we feel that we are in the pits and desperately need help and advice, or you wonder if its best to continue on the present relationship with your partner when feelings are getting bland etc.

We usually turn to family and friends for practical advice. Only when we seem to be at wits' ends, we turn to God and we expect Him to give us the advice we wanna hear.

An example: I want a job from Company A. I pray and pray for the recruitment letter but all I got from the HR on the other line was, "Sorry, we have found the suitable candidate already. Please try for the other positions advertised instead. Thanks."

I bet most of us would start blaming God for not answering our prayers and all. However, you could have thought of this situation in a different perspective, God might already have prepared a better job elsewhere in Company X. A job that you never expect yourself to apply for or get your future paycheck from. That rejection from Company A was merely a door for you to apply to Company X. In this example, God is stretching your patience and telling you this: "Wait"

Enough said. Next hot issue now. Nowadays, single women in their 20s, tend to panic alot bcos of their present martial status. I'm proud to say I presently belong to that group too. Haha!

Another example: Let's take it from a Christian perspective this time. You and your Christian partner are in a very steady relationship and has plans to marry in the near future.

Everyone knows that we Christians stand firm on only marrying the other party who is of the same faith. So most of us Christians will start searching for a Christian partner, rather anxiously. When we have found that partner, we automatically assume that this is the one God has placed in our lives.

However, I dun always agree with that statement. I have a friend who was together with her Christian then-boyfriend for few years; however things din work out as expected and they still broke up. Years later, I heard she have found her Mr Right after all. He is also a Christian and I see that they are indeed happy and blissful together. They respected and loved God alot too, and eventually they got married. In this example, God says "No" to the first relationship but "Yes" to her second relationship.

You heard of this phrase, "When your man says to you that he has found his rib, you know that you are the one having his extra rib." It sure sounds cliché but I totally agree with that lah! I wouldn't mind hearing that during my wedding proposal too ;p So sweet right, I'm melting already. Hee!

There are many other situations that we come across in life, but I'm just stating the common ones here. Of course when you are in that kinda situation, PRAY and ask God for guidance. Have faith that never gives up. Even without signs or significant indications that God is at work, wait on.

"Every delay is perfectly fine, for we are within the safe hands of God." - Madame Guyon (1648-1717)

We Singaporeans are super gan jiong* (very impatient/hurried/rushed) people. We cannot afford to wait for a long time. Time is Money! Hence all the more we need to learn how to view each delay as if it is "perfectly fine." Postponements are reasons to pray rather than to grow anxious, impatient and annoyed.

They are great opportunities for God to build these imperishable but hard-to-acquire qualities of humility, patience, serenity and strength. God stretches our patience to enlarge our soul. God never says, "Wait," unless He is planning to do something BIG in our situations.

So take heart people, when God says, "Wait, it will surely come!" - Habakkuk 2:1-3

-I hereby give credit to my source of inspiration for today's entry to The Daily Bread, July 29 topic on "God's Delays"-

-Credits also given for the 2 wonderfully interesting stick figure pictures by StickGal-

Darn, I'm late for class already! I took only 1h to do this entry. Not too bad already, considering my fussy writing style. Excuse today's wordy entry, I've tried my best to add nice pics already ;p

God, grant the lecturer lotsa patience when he see me enter class late =X heehee!

fivesixYouth

Let me introduce our church (Victory Family Centre) youth region's blog, called fivesixYouth!

Woo hoo~ I am proud to be part of the VFC youth blog editorial team, alongside with Shirgin, Sylvia, Daniel and Miss chief editor, Karina! Wheet~~ Hey guys, let's rock the youths' lil socks outta their feet man!!

We will update the blog there monthly, and I'll surely inform you guys to check it out once the updates are in. Meanwhile, you can check out the blog now and enter a contest! Woo hoo~ We are giving away free CDs!!! Click HERE!

Ya ya ya, I know no1 ever listens to CDs on their big bulky Discman player anymore. We have long upgraded to mp3 players and stylo milo iPods lah. I seriously doubt the younger youths nowadays actually knows what is a discman in the first place lah =\

I still remember, my first discman was from my big brother. He passed to me second-hand, a big and bulky black Sony Discman. In the past, it was the ultimate coolest possession a young teen could ever lay their hands on lah.

It always get stolen when some kid gets the latest and slim-est discman player. Dunno why it suddenly snapped and spoilt, else I would have continued using my beloved old CDs to play on that cool black music player lah! Memories....

Somewhat my 1st Sony Discman player lookalike =)

Sadly enough to say now, the moment you take out your super outdated discman player to press the Play/Stop button now, you can feel the hundreds of eyes staring at you with jaws wide open and slight snuggles, from all over your surroundings.

Nope, its not the bats or owls staring at you in the dead of the night, but the typical busybody Singaporean in the bus/train. Just that, its so obiang* (old-fashioned/outdated/passé) to carry that out in Singapore. I reckon some of our country neighbours and other parts of the world are still using discman players, right? No discrimination on any countries here, but it could be true man. Correct me if you aint happy.

Ok, I have digress well too far off already. Anyway my main point is that, use the CDs you have won, rip into your computer and share the music with your frenz limitlessly, in either hard/soft copy form =) Just dun blame me if you get caught for piracy acts ar. Check it out hor ;p Nites all!

Figures

Hey lovely readers, still remember that money-making PayPerPost entry? I have quite a few people who expressed interest in this already. As promised, I would give you an update when I got the $$ right?

Based on the email notification sent to me by PPP guys, few days back, my virgin entry has been approved and they are giving me my 1st few bucks in 19 days time! I guess the payment only comes 1 month after the posted entry. So guys, have you signed up for it? Did you click on that "Get Paid to Review My Post" link yet? Why wait any further, just do it man!!

If you guys are looking for bigger and more daring money-making investments etc, talk to me personally ya ;p I seem to have a lobang, from Darren, my ex-colleague from Starhub =) Sounds good to me.

I have been slacking quite a tad too much this month, and I feel so guilty of not putting in sufficient effort into my studies. My assignment is due next week, latest 24th August. Sighs. I gotta make sure I do very well this time. God, I need concentration and determination in this module. Engineering Analytical Modelling = University Engineering Maths! Craps.

The formulas seems to be chim-er every time I upgrade my education. Primary school, it was simple arithmetic and algebra. Secondary school, there were slighter chim algebra, vectors, trigo and geometry. Polytechnic, my brain had added in matrix, Laplace, integration, functions, statistics, chim algebra etc. I thought that was it. Little did I know that in uni I would need to use the calculator again -.-

Now there is vector algebra, power inverse matrices, statistics and data distribution, curve fitting, integration and convergence! Aiyo, I wanna peng san* (collapse in exhaustion) already lah. Can solve matrices with Excel now though, cool! Ok, I gotta start my assignment by this coming week, else I think I'm an goner =\

The weather this week is crazily humid. I keep dehydrating as I am perspiring forever. As I type this sentence out now, beads of perspiration are forming on my forehead and threatening to drop on my table again. The tissue paper is soaked to the max; there isn't a single piece left in the tissue box either.

Time to bathe and sleep! There's a full day of activities in church ahead later, starting from 9am =p I'm bringing my assignments to do too~ heehee! Ciaos readers!

Singapore's 42nd National Day

Happy Birthday to dearest Singapore! You have turned 42 as of today ^^v You sure have grown real fast since you gained independence. Look at you now, you are the 18th richest country in the world dude! You are fat~~ with loads of money on ya!

So proud of being part of you and I love singing those songs about you. "Five Stars Arising", "We are Singapore", "Stand up for Singapore", "Count on me Singapore", "Pledge Song", "Majulah Singapura", "Chan Mali Chan" and so many more!!!

But I got one sad news for you... No1 really bother to put up your pretty red and white flag, decorated with a crescent and 5 stars, on their HDB flat window ledges anymore. I'm guilty of that too =x Maybe if you gave me tickets for next year's NDP, I would be nicer to you too =)

Went to say hi to our late grandparents at 2 seperate cemeteries, in the early part of the day; thank God for the clouds, else we all would have melted already =) Popped by Amos' house almong with sis and Yi Ru, so we decided to catch NDP'07 together.

Cher Hao mentioned that he was in the parade but I could not see him; every guy there looked the same lah. Su Ping was in some umbrella performance segment but we din see that. We reckon its the pre-parade segment, not telecast on TV live.

The main highlight of the NDP was these 3 guys who were roller-blading to and fro the stage, doing this segment called "Source of Life". The main singer/blader sang about the water and its supremacy, and he had dramatic actions and he sure looked weird with the glittery make-up and lion-fish costume. So he was blading with his 2 fishy frenz and up the ramp they went.... the main singer/blader attempted a "his 2 big feet off the ground" stunt and he landed back on the ground beautifully, alongside with his butt lah. Oh my, how loud we laughed! What a joke~

In another blading segment by dunno which association, another blader lost balance, just when the cameraman happened to film them. Ok, we are mean people who gloat over people's misfortune =x

Now, how suay can the director of this live telecast event gets. It aint easy directing, mixing and recording such a massive live event. I reckon it sucks having filmed the retarded moments of the 1st NDP event ever held at Marina Bay - the biggest floating platform in the whole wide world. LOL!

The overall event was alrite, just that they focused too much on the audience and filmed less on the performances and fireworks. Sighs. Hope next year is better lor.

Oh, speaking of fireworks, it looked quite good on tv. My nice Great Eastern insurance agent sent me this email last week, with this link for the next display segment of NDP fireworks. Check out the dates and pop by the area to enjoy that few romantic moments with your loved one =)

Next up, a quick follow-up on nana's birthday celebration today:

Papa brought us to Jurong Point for late lunch and nana selected Fish & Co =) the service there was quite good, the supervisor know his products well and he was well-mannered. Looks good too ^^ Since everyone was feeling so happy, we ordered quite abit and almost could not finish ;p

Lunch at JP Fish & Co ;p

Ordered Seafood Platter, Teriyaki Salmon, Fried Calamaris for food. Got 2 of their signature drinks: Kola Tonic and Passion Fruit, not too bad, its worth trying =) got a complementary 'Sing 42' mocktail or sth, bcos we were patriotic Singaporeans who scored full marks in a lil quiz they had... and with a wee bit of help from Mr Nice Sup of course ;p

They also gave sis a free scoop of Cookies n' Cream ice cream and 10% off our bill just bcos her birthday was yesterday - b4 National Day =) No idea what kinda promo it is but well, God just loves to bless us!

The weather is way too humid and stuffy, I have been perspiring for the past 2 hours already, since the moment I stepped into the house till now. Off to bathe now ^^ I'm so tired I think I wanna sleep already. Its only 12 plus in the night, but who cares.. I want my beauty sleep hor. Ciaos peeps.

Happy Birthday to Joanna!

Happy 17th Birthday to my dearest *real* sister, Joanna Leow aka nana!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Slice of New York Classic Cheesecake from Polar, just for her =)

As usual, everyone ask her the same question every year, "Aiya, so wasted, why you not born on 9th August? Then like that can celebrate together with whole Singapore on National Day!" Please lah, this type of question is very stupid.

Firstly, she dun have a chance to choose when she wanted to pop outta Mama Leow's womb. Secondly, God planned her birth date already. Thirdly, being born on 8th August isn't that bad after all. 2 auspicious numbers in a row =) next year when she turn 18 years old, you see three 8s. 08.08.08~

Known her for like, all her life, full 17 years already =x Wow, that's a long time man!

I remembered she was a pretty lil baby, with baby curls and a sweet lil smile. Heehee =D she is the 4th kid in the Leow family, born in KK Hospital, an age difference of 4 years from me, and did i mention this..... she is the shortest among us 4 =) Hahaha!

Well, I reckon she is the only one who knows almost ALL my secrets and habits that no1 else would ever imagine *evil grins to nana* so does she. We share the same bedroom ever since she was 3 or 4 years old.

She used to be a quiet and low-profile girl, introverted and emotionally sensitive. After even more experiences she encountered over the years, she showed signs of inferiority. Sighs. Some people are just so mean to her back then, despite she not offending them at all. Sucks.

Thank God she has been changed for the better! I'm glad, I can see the big difference in her lor. LOL!
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Make do with this small slice today ok, tml papa give you bigger one ;p

After a lil discussion at home yesterday, Mr Leow suggested a belated birthday dinner for lil Miss No.2 Leow and she was so unhappy. Wooo~ Day of His Power event came on top priority list so too bad =) Wanted to go airport today to study, so I called her along.

Since no celebration for her like very sad case, I decided to be a nice big sister to Nana. Bought her that lil slice of cake to cheer her up abit lor. Din study much in the end, was talking more though.

If you have been a super loyal reader of my blog, you would have realise it is just the beginning of August and I have already written my 3rd birthday post as of today. I got no choice man, bcos I realise August had way too many birthday kids, and most of them are my beloved close frenz. I have already cut down alot!

Tml is National Day, but I dun intend to write a birthday tribute post to Singapore. But still, Happy 42nd Birthday to you, Singapore! Enjoy the public holiday guys~!

Happy Birthday to Han Ping!

Happy 21st Birthday to my nice dear bro, Han Ping! Woo hoo~ actually his birthday was yesterday, 5th August. This is a belated birthday entry. Haha!

First known this dude 4 years back in 2003, at Metro Tampines, Century Square. 4 years later, in 2007, we look back at the place where we first said hi to each other, it is having its closing down sale already. Thank God I met him early. Haha!

We coincidentally went to the same polytechnic, but different courses. He is a smart nerdy boy, I am a average slacker girl. He entered Biotechnology, I entered Mechatronic Engineering. He had a silver CCA certificate worth about 70-80 points, I had an almost-empty CCA certificate worth just 3 points.

He used to look real nerdy with those spectacles and clothes he wore. After a blessing-in-disguise mishap in Thailand, he came back with contact lenses. I remembered that I was so shocked when I saw him w/o specs. I thought who is this handsome dude.... Hahaha! Anyways, you are really looking good now bro =) Just dun keep wearing t-shirts lah, maybe once awhile wear something smart-looking ar.

I intro-ed Shi Yun to him, else I think his circle of frenz is ever so small lah. She was in Logistics Management. Together 3 of us had our happy and retarded moments, in and out of Ngee Ann Polytechnic. After graduation, we are busy with our lives yet we still keep in close contact.

Amazing guy he is indeed. He was always by my side, supporting and comforting me, whenever I was going thru nonsensical stuff from then till now. Hours on the phone listening to my whines and grumbles, being a nice guy by replying sms whenever I sms him at odd times of the night, just to chat, going out with me and just rot away, treats me to movies and eat good food whenever I am super broke, and many more. I can go on and on, but I think you should befriend him to know what I mean =) *free advertising for him*

Happy Three Friends!

Thanks for the Crystal Jade dinner tonight. We are glad you like your pressie: the Swatch Irony watch! Also from Spring/Summer'07 collection. Told you our taste was good ;p

Thanks to Simon, Matthew, Karina and Dawn for their valuable feedback too, else I would have been spoilt for choice lah! Hahaha~~

4 years of buddy-ship and we are still going on strong man! YAY! All the best in all your endeavours especially your future degree (with honours) studies, a bright career path in the biotech industry, find your special sum1 and not get hurt again. Meanwhile, enjoy your MP duties at Seletar camp =) cheers out dude, miss me more ^^

Happy Birthday to Jemima!

Happy 16th Birthday to you, Jer-mee-ma! Hahaha~

Pokemon Birthday Cake! Nope, she's not a Pokemon fan, I just couldn't find a better flavour cake to buy lah ^^

It has been great seeing you in grow so much since you were a young girl. I still remember we first met when Heather wanted us to do that silly dance item donkey years ago, in front of all those adults, alongside with Pamela, Audrey, Ian and some others I forgotten already.

Time flies, you are now doing your O levels in St. Hilda's Secondary (my alma mater)! Wow! We are even in the same nursery team taking care of those cute lil babies. Slacking, playing and taking pictures with them are definitely fun, excluding the crying and changing diapers part lah. Haha!

Continue to grow in the Lord everyday and may He bless you in your studies too =) jiayou my dear girl! Stop being an owl at night, burning midnight oil till wee hours lah.

Maximum Weekend Play!

I know you guys have been waiting eagerly for my next entry right? Hahaha! Sorry to keep you all waiting. Been so busy and packed for the past few days. I got loads to write, but will spread them out thru the next few days slowly - that's if I got the time to blog =)

Firstly, I just realised that I got some loyal readers from USA, UK, France, Japan, Australia (thanks to Titus, Alex and Yoke Ling), Singapore (thanks to all of you peeps) ^^v The first 4 countries stated, I got no idea who are they but thanks for popping by anyways!

Regarding the Pay Per Post entry I wrote last week, I'm excited to know that some of you are equally interested in easy money-making schemes ^^ Heehee! Will update you guys more about my 1st paycheck from them, once that virgin post has been approved - by the relevant guys on the other side of Earth ya =)

So, I had an amazing weekend and I'm proud to say I've enjoyed every moment of it!

[Friday, 030807]
Festival of Praise (FOP) at Singapore Indoor Stadium, from 3rd to 5th August 2007! Went with most of the VFC youths on Friday evening, and it was great!

Don Moen rocked my socks out man! He got a great voice and reaches high notes almost effortlessly. I can never ever do that -.- He Never Sleeps, listen to the lyrics, very good!

Delirious? was just as good but Don Moen is still tops! Pastor Phil Pringle, is the Founder and Senior Minister of Christian City Church Oxford Falls and Founder and President of the Christian City Church International movement of churches, around the world. The main church is located in New South Wales, Australia.

He gave the sermon and his illustrations are realistic yet hilarious! Nasal twinging = Whining o.O Dun understand what is nasal twinging right, I demo to you one day ok =)

Imagine God driving Earth in the back of His 'car', with 6.5 billion humans and still counting; all whining away with our everyday nonsense! How can He ever tahan??! I cannot even tahan a lil baby cry, what more 6.5 billion human beings making a BIG ruckles! Madness! This is another reason why we should admire God now =)

Supper at Simpang Bedok was quiet and short but satisfied and full ^^

A MUST-TRY: Roti John with cheese and chicken, topped with mustard and sweet chilli. Remember: Prata Plaster and Ice Lemon Tea will seal the night with such yummy satisfaction! I never fail to drool at the sight of this John =)

Workday in the morning, cleaned the church with the other youths. Went Edge in the evening, as usual. Dinner at Burger King, was noisy, as always =) Chilled with the net at Starbucks thereafter, Charlie from Sri Lanka joined us. We had a crazy photo-snapping and video-taking session. Darren was the 'main highlight' of the evening. Hahaha! If I ever get the video from Charlie, all 1 minute worth of all 3.2 megapix candid moments, I'll post it up!

The crazy pictures and video taking session, at TM Starbucks!

Heard a few good songs again in church recently, so I thought you guys might wanna check them out =) *click here* especially Hillsong's Evermore (its on the sidebar of my blog, click PLAY), Don Moen's Thank You Lord.

Arranged a meet-up with 2 of my old frenz from St. Hilda's Primary School, Class of Pr.6/6, 1998 ^^ Mr Twang Kuanyi and Miss Clarice Zhang! They have not changed a single bit, other than height lah.

All the primary school memories just came flooding our brains, and b4 we knew it, we were talking about the teachers that scarred our lil minds back then. We got the horrible psycho Mr Andrew Soong, the crazy Mrs Kellyn Chua, the stupid Chinese HOD Mdm Lee Hwa and many more.

We acted like lil kids once again, despite Kuanyi just turned 21 two days back. Clarice still had her crazy infectious laughter, Kuanyi with his trademark 'unique' jokes and I still wore spectacles till now =) Did some catching up, we felt young once again and realised some old habits just die real hard. LOL!

Ended up at Orchard area. Eat, talk, drink, talk, crazy camera snapping and more talk. We just love to talk. We, the 1986's babies, have been in SHPS since 6 years old. The PY (aka K2 for PAP kids) days, that funny jumpsuit uniform, that Carebears bag - loaded with crayons, glue, jotter book, note book, pencil and eraser. Canteen food stinks, aunties gave miserly servings of food for 50 cents back in the early 90s, all for 7 stupid years!

Had lotsa fun with them both and I will add in the pictures asap ya. We hope to have more peeps joining us the next time round =D try to make time to reminiscence together lah, you wun regret one ;p

Got 2 more good news to share today. God is really so wonderful =)

Received an sms from Alvin in the evening: Andrew is recovering well and has been transferred to CGH normal ward already! Thank God for hearing our prayers! He still got occasional fevers due to infection, but he definitely is better shape now! Keep praying people ^^

Recently I opened a seperate bank account for my savings, thanks to Madeline for giving me that good lobang. OCBC and Fairprice Plus actually partnered to have a debit card (Fairprice Plus Platinum Debit Card) that offers Linkpoints for NTUC purchases or Giro payments. On the other hand, OCBC is offering a 1% interest p.a for your savings. No minimum or fixed amount monthly or age limit etc. Offers the same perks like POSB GO! card and other banks' debit cards.

Since you guys are so sweet to always pop in my blog, I tell you the good news... Madeline smsed me in the morning and said that OCBC has increased the interest rate for savings accounts to 1.25% p.a! OMG!

That is so much money, as compared to POSB 0.025% p.a??! Hahaha! Start laughing your way to the bank, average Joes and Joeys like us! Dun start the comparison between the higher end banks please, its not realistic in this case here. Why wait, apply now!

Nope, I got no commission for advertising this. It is for your benefits, so let your money grow!!

I took 4 hours to blog this entry, dun ask me why I took so long. I dunno either. I just need to sleep now!

Time to go home, dark and quiet and deserted...

God's Blessings

Sumtimes I'm amazed by God's blessings that I'm often left speechless. Just like yesterday, I was all groggy from my long sleep till Mama passed me an envelope from Great Eastern. My heart sank, thinking that my insurance agent wanted me to buy more policies from him.

You know my financial status, the purse strings are darn tight. Whatever goes into my pocket, gets out quickly too.

I opened the envelope with much dread. Surprise of all surprises that I could ever think of, on a lazy Wednesday afternoon, I actually got a voucher for Pizza Hut regular pan pizza, absolutely FREE! I was like,"huh? confirm bo?"

Click onto below picture for more info.

My insurance agent apparently won such great company award and he gave all his clients a lil Pizza Hut treat. Of course, there is no free lunch in this world. Great Eastern wanted all clients to 'review' their policies again and schedule a meet-up with the agent.

YAY!! Free pizza to eat!

They tried to tempt me with a lucky draw for free travelling though. Since I have never won any stupid lucky draw in my whole entire life, I decided to skip the chance of being 1 of the lucky 10 to get $1000 worth of travel vouchers. Wanna scam me to upgrade my policy right??!!! I'm so not gonna do that.

However, the last paragraph of the note left me tempted =) Whoever wanna become a Great Eastern insurance agent, tell me! Let me refer you in, so I can get some referral money as well lah ^^v You get the job, I get the $$ for giving you the job opportunity!

Oh yes, I'm so money-faced $_$ ! Judging by my recent post on PayPerPost, I sure do sound in need for cash. I'm not. I just wanna share how God bless me in different ways! Extra outlets to make some revenue while staying at home, sure sounds good for every poor student ya =)

Ok, enough of money stuff. I had a lil supper session after class, one evening, with Thiam Siong, and we sure talked alot. Despite my voice still recovering from the inflammation and Thiams tired from a long day of school, we talked and talked and talked. Its great to share my life's experiences with someone who can understand it quite well. Whenever we think and look back on our past decisions, we end up smiling with mixed feelings.

Below are 2 pictures I took for Thiams and Ee Ling, they were sweet enough to wear the shirts I specially made for their birthday pressies. Decided to get them 1 each bcos God has used them greatly in my life and they were a great encouraging couple to me =)

Fits them to a tee ^^ Pun intended. Just throw the darn receipt I stupidly left in the bag hor. Forget the cost pls!

Shirt design was specially done by sweet Siu Mei. Great job girl!

Thiams and Ee Ling, proudly wearing their "God's Encourager" shirts!

We (Thiams, Ee Ling, me and Siu Mei), love the cross and flowers design best!

After much sleep for the past 3 days, I'm glad to say my voice has almost recovered fully. I still sound hoarse whenever I talk too much or laugh out loud, cough like a sick dog for 5 mins non stop, every now and then, and stupid phlegm that is still stuck in my throat.

However I'm kinda used to not being able to talk, but now that I'm ok, I feel lazy to open my mouth to talk already. What a big contradiction. But still, I thank God for healing me so quickly =) YAY! KFC, here I come!!
