Zouk or Puke?

Dun ask me go clubbing again pls. After a 1 hour cab wait, a super packed club and entire street of waiting customers, humid night, polluted cigarette air, our planned outing to the dance floor din happen, but instead a roti prata supper with the gals. Zouk was so packed I got so close as to the entrance then I saw this sign: Full House. Thanks alot guys.

I wonder why do people go clubbing? To dance, get fresh with the other sex, make 'new' frenz, have one-night stands, chillout (i doubt!) or to get drunk and wasted away? Its usually all of the above except chilling out and dancing. LOL!

However we were 'treated' to dead-drunk guys along the road, puking away like Mr. Merlions. Know your drinking limits man, dun act macho in front of your pals or pretty girls ok. Its a pathetic sight blabbering like idiots, and I should say this to you drunkards,"Losers"! Fancy wasting $$ on expensive alcoholic drinks and cover charge, and yet getting thrown out by bouncers in front of everyone at the club. So unglam!

So anyway, we had a nice catch-up session at the roti prata shop opposite Zouk instead, with our heels and all. Still managed to enjoy ourselves with roti prata and teh-peng~ Ying Xi din join us bcos she got other plans on. Duno when we 4 gals can hang out together as a group leh. The girls of the Speedy Foursome clique are finally back to mugging the books this year! Shi Ru is already in NUS Materials Engineering soon-to-be Year 3, me just started in UTS Aerospace Operations, Angelina going to Murdoch Commerce (Finance) and Ying Xi to NIE, both in end July. Hey yo! The pretty geeks are back!
A rare pic of the 4 'Speedy Foursome' girls tgt!

me, Shi Ru, Angelina by the bridge =)

Snapping away non-stop, w/o dear Ying Xi =\

Trying to be that Helping Hand

The feeling/ sense of achievement is so great; especially after a successful event I personally planned, or seeing someone get on with life after certain setbacks and being told that how your encouragement had helped them in the process of recovery.

I tried my hand on helping those lost youth in finding the correct path back to reality. I am really proud that they are very thankful for my continuous encouragement and care I shown to them when they needed it most, and that how I used my life's experiences to help them in different ways. I'm not boasting or anything, just that I feel so happy knowing that I can touch their lives in lil ways. I'm no pro in youth counselling, but I wanna try to help those who are in the pits of depression or false illusions of life. Know anyone like that? Maybe you can tell me more =) I would not mind helping them.

Lately I have helped planned some of the few friends' 21st birthdays. Seriously I dunno what's the big deal about turning 21 but I guess this has been too commercialised just bcos that's the so-called legal age or the step into adulthood. Haha! So this time I'm helping Ying Xi and I must say, with a longer invitation list, pressies and details to settle with schedules to be met by all 11 of us, is gonna be so challenging. Arghh! Madeline's dinner was quite a success, considering with the help of Alvin to assist me when I'm so mad at stupid details. My turn is in December, long way man.

Since I'm not working currently and everyone else is busy slogging their guts away, they are so stressed and worn out physically and mentally. I understand, I been thru that shit b4. So pretty lil Shi Yun suggested to me one morning, that we buds shall all go for a short trip overseas. Alrites, budget one ok, Genting will do. So my beloved buddies who are reading this nice blog of mine, who's interested? We plan to go (if you guys are really on for this) most probably in mid July =) bcos selfish me have 3 weeks of break from studies, starting from 14th July 2007 only. Sms me or pretty Shi Yun ya ;p

Who's having problems managing their finances and need some help? I got a friend who can help you. Okok, he's in Great Eastern ya, he's a great chap who can help you one. No joke! No worries, he wun force you to take up stupid insurance policies, unless you really are interested in them. I took no bribes from him, just helping him spread the word. He got tons of clients already, but I thought of helping him get more (if my blog really have such power).

3/4 of my circle of friends are actually in their early 20s to 30s now, and most are still single. Hurhur! I wonder, when is the RIGHT time for BGR and why? I'm single and am searching for that special guy, but till now, to no avail. Hahaha! N' no, I dun settle for any Tom, Dick or Harry guys ok. Height, religion, character and personality issues are the reasons why I cannot find 'him', so what? Is it wrong to set my expectations high? After all, I see myself as a eligible female! I'm so thick-skinned! Ok, I'm starting to sound real despo so I shall stop right away. Single life for now is great, I get the freedom I want! Ask me again in 5 years time if singlehood is still fun for me anot =\

This is 1 outta-this-world entry man! No idea what I'm typing either. Its 4am now! Just great, I've become an owl again, despite my past 3 weeks of effort trying to revert back to a human. Hoot hoot~ What the heck!

Global Day of Prayer at National Stadium

*Warning: A long entry with lots of pics ahead.*

GDOP Poster!
Yesterday, 27th May 2007, was Global Day of Prayer, was held for the last time at Singapore National Stadium b4 it is demolished to make way for the upcoming new state-of-art Sports Hub -.- Singapore just wanna follow China in creating tons of athletes excelling in all kinda sports, just for SEA Games, Commonwealth Games, Olympic Games, World Cup etc etc.
Anyway back to the GDOP, its was slightly more than half-filled with some of the many Christians living in Singapore. This event is actually specially organised to intercede (pray) for Singapore, to God for a breakthrough in certain specific areas: Repentance, Reconciliation and Unity, Restoration. It is indeed spiritually refreshing to see how everyone prayed and praised God earnestly. Oh, we did no chanting or weird stuff ya.

1/4 of the many Christians at the stadium.

The small stage, where the 大牌 pastors are.

Praying for repentance for our nation.

and worshipping God~

More Christians around...
Managed to take some pics of us one last time b4 National Stadium is gone forever! Gone are the days of NDPs, live concerts or dumb soccer matches Singaporean team plays friendly with.

Su Ping, sis and me outside the stadium

Taking a last pic with the iconic giant lights-stand!

2 lil girls trying to pose behind me but lousy try =)

Sis, Su Ping, Thiam Siong, Ee Ling and me =D

The lil girls forced us to go Popeyes at Changi Airport again last Saturday, and I was feeling quite heaty from the weather, lots of chicken I ate the past week, daily take-away meals, insufficient water intake; and now eat crispy chicken with fries and marsh potatoes again! But I must say Popeyes can fight with KFC already lah, taste real good: a different kinda crisp and aroma! Yum yum~ This time we took Popeyes to a whole new level (excuse the pun): a picnic at the viewing gallery, watching planes take off and land, and making a fool outta ourselves taking pictures like lil kids.

My precious sheeps =)

Snapping away...

Happy kids enjoying Popeyes by the viewing gallery!

Victory~ ^^v

Satisfied girls grinning =D

However my night ended up with pain, thanks to sis' amplifier. Darn thing weighing 6.3kg just dropped on my foot while boarding the bus, and it was the sharp corner of the amp that hit me so hard! GRRRRR!! Everyone at Changi Airport T1 bus terminal was staring at me grimly like fools, not offering help to a girl in pain. Stupid plastic handle snapped lah! Now my foot got a odd-looking sharp-cornered dent; inclusive of a FOC painful bruise that exudes such excruciating pain that I scream whenever I rub the bruise. I wanna dump that amp right away!

My pretty big foot (pun intended) looks 'normal'
Notice a slight dent on the right side?

Up-close dent + a smaller but painful bruise after rubbing for 3 days!

From now on, dun ask me to help you carry any amp ever again! Bass guitar or others still ok. So pain =(
Went to Joan's house for the net leaders' zone meeting yesterday, and oh yes she had 4 pretty cats! Whisky, which had a lil rendezvous with a neighbourhood stray cat, is now the proud mama of 3 lil kittens, 2 white and 1 black-white. They are so people-shy that they hid in the bedroom. LOL! Should introduce her cats to my downstairs Malay neighbour's 4 cats too! I reckon they will have fun meowing away together, and not at my doorstep at 5am in the mornings pls!

Whisky: pretty white mama, with long whiskers!
Silky white fur and doleful eyes! N' that look resembles like a baby merlion!

*Random: A must-have snack when mugging or slacking! Only available at Candy Empire!

Come and Go~

I'm shocked to hear that UNSW Asia is closing down its Singapore campus so soon! Just 3 months after the 1st batch of students entered, UNSW Asia decides that they have not met the required enrolment numbers and they are giving up after 2 intakes. I'm so thankful to God I din bother to apply for this university last year bcos I had no interest in their BEng Mechanical Engineering course. Check the stories out! http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/278179/1/.html. My poly classmate, Siang Wei was actually in the pioneer batch and now this happens to him. I feel so sorry for you man. UNSW is offering scholarships worth S$22,000 to local students and S$12,000 to foreign students, to help them relocate to the UNSW Australian campus. Seriously speaking, the amount given is meagre; in comparison with the total amount of expenses every foreign student pays for studying in Australia. Pathetic.

Another hot story of the day was the 'tornado' sighted off East Coast. O.o Its actually a water sprout: http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/278343/1/.html. It has happened last year, last sighted at Sentosa Island. Well it is quite a normal weather phenomenon due to the recent intense thunderstorms. Well Norfadz had showed me the picture she took from her house, with her hp, and I was very shocked initally. Weird stuff are happening nowadays and I'm not the least surprised anymore.

Time really flies real fast when you are having fun! Managed to find time to catch up with Norfadz at Changi Airport this afternoon, after 7 years! Tried to talk as fast as we could for 2 hours b4 I left for class. She is looking so pretty now =) We forgot to take a picture together, much to our dismay, after I boarded the train. LOL! No worries gal, we try meet on Ying Xi's birthday dinner then we snap away like crazy, alrights? Hahaha! Finally can meet up with my ex-colleagues from Infineon tml ;p Ok, been slacking this week, haben start much on my tutorials yet. Well I'll do them on Monday, its the happening weekend again! Time to sleep, energy reserved for the packed weekend.

The 5 Languages of Love!

The 5 Languages of Love!

1. Gifts
2. Touch
3. Quality Time
4. Acts of Service
5. Words of Affirmation/ Encouragement

Its is amazing how people express their love to others thru these 5 languages.

1. Gifts: It is a cash investment if you wanna shower your loved ones with gifts, to brighten up their day or to show your care and appreciation towards them. But you are rewarded back with their love and gratitude towards you, and people know you care for them. Use your creative brain cells and genes to make pretty lil things for your frenz, to save $$ ^^

2. Touch: Asians are traditionally more conservative in mindset and tend to feel awkward with touch. Not the literal hanky-panky touch touch, but as in expressing your care and love towards your loved ones thru hugs, a pat on the back or shoulder etc. This is something that most of us can continue to learn, bcos it is truly amazing how the sense of touch in our human body works, especially in times of good and bad times =) try it!

3. Quality Time: Singaporeans are known for their forever busy and hectic lifestyles and schedules, bcos we always maximise our time for all kinds of events and appointments. Time is precious, Time is Money etc. However all these lil committments and priorities can sometimes defocus us from the lil things of our lives: frenz, family, faith. Its good to spend good quality time with your loved ones, to share your care and concern towards them. You dunno when they will leave you anyway.

4. Acts of Service: Things that can warm people's hearts e.g. making breakfast for your parents for a change, helping with the household chores etc. Some of us are not comfortable expressing ourselves in words, so do it in action! After all we all know that "Action speaks louder than words"!

5. Words of Affirmation/ Encouragement: Do not belittle this language of love. It helps alot in one's self-esteem or emotions. It has been tried and tested, and it work wonders!! Encouragement is not easy to say or do, be it in words or actions bcos we are simply not used to affirming one another. How encouragement works: start small with your own family, then your circle of close frenz and so on. Do it thru lil gestures by giving notes of encouraging words, smses, gifts of appreciation or encouragement etc. Take abit of time off your busy schedule to do those lil stuff in life, it can change sum1 else's life w/o you knowing.

Suddenly I feel that I have changed quite abit in terms of character and thinking. People have been telling me lately too. I feel and am glad, that there are changes in me. God has certainly started to mould me into a better person, and placing several goals in my heart to accomplish. He has a purpose for me especially in this church. Frankly I din like this church one bit initally. Hahaha! Irony isn't it, yet I'm kinda loving it now. The environment and surrounding people certainly does play a part in the growth in God. I'm thankful to the nice R5/6 youths I have known for this past year at VFC, bcos you guys have certainly affected me in some ways or other. Thanks to all of you, love ya =)

Been shopping online on Ebay for the past few days. Got a pair of nice Guess? sunglasses for Mum's bdae pressie, another nice pair for myself (although I'm a blind bat w/o my specs), a bag each for me and sis, scouting for a nice bag and wallet for Ying Xi's 21st bdae pressie (have few choices to choose from already!). This whole shopping thing is so convenient and easy, no sweat or aching legs, no need shopping kakis or worry about our next meal destination. Hahaha! Shall get shoes next time round when I got cash to spare.

Finally i got to have a nice chat with the kids at net earlier on, funny and weird stuff going on lately. Sighs. Oh, the latest drinks 'Anything' and 'Whatever' are actually normal drinks we have, just that now the flavours are randomly canned and sold. Comes in carbonated and non-carbonated, well just can go try them for novelty sake. Heehee! I haben do my tutorial yet. Heck care lah, off to bed now. Stupid, warm and wind-less night, yet its cloudless; so pretty and starry sky * * * * * * Quite suitable for star grazing with that special sum1, or with a group of frenz ar... Romantic~

Random Thoughts for the Day

Random Thoughts for the day =D

1. Spiderman and Pirates 3 are nice to watch, but there's a part 4 coming up for them. Arghh!

2. Google Docs and NetCoachAsia are a waste of time but I gotta do them. Darn!

3. I need $$, a good facial and body scrub, shopping and yummy food!

4. I miss my dearest frenz. *hugs*

5. I love my Lord God, and the peeps at VFC, His Word and creations.

6. I love my family most! *muacks*

7. More 21st birthdays during the 2nd half of 2007, and pressies to get! *broke*

8. Waiting for AO1 module results anxiously =x

9. Electronic gadgets are getting so so small, light and slim now, and prices are surprisingly reasonably affordable!

10. Too many shopping malls in Singapore, I'm sick of city life alongside with the same old boring shops everywhere.

11. A short overseas trip will be nice, travelling alongside with my close frenz.

12. I like being a 'da jie' to those kids younger than me, especially when I know they need the guidance in growing up thru their teenage years =)

13. Maybe I can try being a counsellor or open a small phone biz that offers a listening ear to people's troubles. I like to listen to the different life experiences of people from all walks of life, and try to help them in any ways that I can.

14. Ask me to be a model, air stewardess or enter beauty pageants? Save it man, I dare to try them but I dun wanna do so. I rather make use of my educational qualifications my father and I strived so hard to achieve in life.

15. I love my life, my faith, my memories.

16. I need my beauty sleep, to get rid of those 2 hideous greyish-black eyebags!! Eeeeks!

Engineering Communications

Assignments are coming in already. Lecturer want us to do e-learning -.- macham poly days, craps! An hassle and a waste of time. Anyone knows how to use Google Docs?

This malay gal, aka Yan in short, did a lil makeover on herself and she looked quite good: no more specs and cut bangs to her long black hair; and I just coloured and highlighted my hair. My male classmates (33/39 are guys) were commenting why we girls so free during the 1 week break to do stupid makeovers. Hahaha~ so I just say,"Aiya, new module must have new look mah. Moreover our class only got 6 girls, dun wan you all see us for next 2 years with same look, surely sian right?" Everyone else laughed and say,"Rubbish lah! You girls so rich, everyday shop shop shop only." Stupid MCPs! No wonder most of you are still single and balding badly. Bleahs!

Finally gonna watch Spiderman 3 tonight!

Merlion Madness!

Notice that I dun blog during the wkends? Hahaha~ bcos this is the only time I'm outta the house the entire day, besides going school!

Went Sentosa with the church youths on Saturday, it was a very warm and cloudless afternoon to begin with. I'm glad I agreed to go in the end when Amos asked me again on Friday night, bcos I figured out that staying home on a Saturday was more pathetic even though I was super lazy. Realised Sentosa was totally revamped, the monorail express was far too small to accommodate all the beach-goers and tourists, got a halfway tan after slapping down loads of sunblock, made some frenz: more 13 years old kids, realised that Elvin Foong is indeed a very outgoing and interesting guy as we were in the same team. We were supposed to play games by walking to different game stations all over the different beaches under the scorching sun! Ended up we lost all the games bcos we just decided to chill out and not be so competitive =) Only managed to take few pics though. I'm starting to like our church people now.

'Treasure Hunt??!'

the so-called "Treasure Island"

Bridge to "Treasure Island"

Pathetic scenery at Sentosa though -.-

Looking for the small puny 'treasures' hidden amongst trash!!

'Trashing people in water' game!!

Setting the rules...

Getting ready...

On your mark.... Get set...

GOOOO!!! Whack arrr................

1 team finally falls into the water =)

I realised some of our youths have the gift to do pastoral care and counselling. Been talking quite abit to Ee Ling and Thiam Siong lately (an interesting couple and always loving God), and we shared many personal experiences together.

I'm glad I met these 2 great youths, and of course there's others too! There's Amos, Simon, Janice, Darren, my disciples and our net group and all the youths in R5/6. I know God has placed me amongst these youths for a purpose; to use my personal experiences to guide them back to where God can help them and to mould their lives in the image of God. Dun sound very chim to understand right? Haha!

So my well-deserved break is over, and this evening its back to class again. I'm feeling excited yet dreadful, all charged up yet lazy. What a stupid contradiction! I still have not played enough yet, but I sure did rested quite alot. I still miss my buddies, ex-colleagues and those 'accidental acquaintances' =D

Deepest Condolences/ Congratulations

Ok, my title sounds real weird, but its 2 seperate events here.

Firstly, my deepest condolences to Minghui and his father, for the loss of a mum and a wife to the family. May she rest in peace in heaven with our Heavenly Father.

Went for the funeral earlier this evening, she look so peaceful lying in the coffin, even though the cancer cells and chemo treatment made her look so frail and bony. I pray that she is happy up above, watching over her family =) Life is so unpredictable, you just dunno when you leave this world. I'm glad I got God in me, I know where I'll go after death. I'm not trying to be morbid lah.

Secondly, yesterday went for bro's ORD parade at Hendron Camp. Congrats bro, can go back study and work again! Not a big deal there, just tons of guys: smelly and stinky. Handsome? Cannot really differentiate bcos all look alike in uniform. Hahaha!

Last but not least, lessons resuming next Monday evening, should not be much of a problem lah =D Just need the focus, concentration and wisdom!! Jiayou~

Financial Blessings!

I may look very free everyday, always online on MSN and blogging away; but the actual fact is I'm quite busy too! I got church, frenz and school to bother about; seldom go shopping at town area, at most only at Tampines Mall, else at home eating and sleeping and studying. My life is simply boring ;p no joke about it, just that I know how to blog about interesting stuff to make myself sound so happening lor ^^. Ain't I just so smart!

I thank God for blessing me financially again! Just when I thought I'm going broke again, SG government starts to give out $$ to us for GST offset package =) Joshua was just telling me he received $300 and I was like "NOT FAIR!!" He din offer to share with me either, oh well its ok since I finally received the letter already. God has also blessed my papa with a fat bonus this year, so I can foresee more $$ in my bank at the 2nd half of 2007!! Lalalala~ Decided to go online window shopping, and I must say, they have lotsa pretty stuff there =D I love Ebay now~

Beautiful Mothers, Babies and Friends

Finally found time to catch up with Clarence and Kenneth after 2 busy months. Chatted with them for consecutively 12 hours on Saturday evening, from Lau Pa Sat to Boat Quay to Esplanade to Dhoby Ghaut yesterday morning. Yeah, sure sounded like a trail around the city area! Hahaha~ we had alot to talk about and were starving real badly by 7am. By the time I reached home it was already 8.15am. I showered and headed straight to get flowers for Mama b4 to church. Church was alrite, realised how fast lil kids actually grew.

Oh yes, Happy Mother's Day to all the beautiful mums in this world, who sacrifice your beauty for your children! God bless you always and have a happy family!!

To my mama!

My pretty lil babies~!!

Sweet lil Andrea who knows Spanish!

Johann happily munching on his snack!

My lil Matthew with shades on, so cool!!

Caleb happily sucking his thumb after makan-ing!

En Jie, forever so adorable and hyper!

Ian and his pretty mummy, great twist posers ^^v

Went for a cut, colour and highlight session for my hair today afternoon, all the way at Clementi area. Now my hair is not jet-black but ash base and gold highlights. Looks nice, but actual colour will take few washes to come out, by then I'll take a pic =)

I read the EC notes, nothing much to really remember. Basic English language and all. I think I got no problem getting an A for this module already ^^ so ya-ya of me huh.

Time to have fun

Feels great to go out to slack and enjoy myself, especially after 2 long months of mugging for my 1st module of the degree. Going out with Han Ping is never a bore to me, though we always go out for a short while each time. He was blessed yesterday at Takashimaya, with the event of buying a Braun Buffel wallet for free in the end. Its a long story and I'm lazy to type it down, ask me about it. He finally said this phrase,"Miracles do happen!", considering that he's a boy with the logical and rational mindset. He should go for Power Night, he'll know the real meaning of miracles! Hahaha!

Net group was quite interesting last evening, learnt that Pig game from Amos. Its somewhat like Heart Attack, but a more quiet one which involves fast human reflexes and alertness. Oh my, it can be stressful at times for kids like us who loves to yak non stop! Ask me about that too if you are interested in that game =)

Congrats to Lex, on his newborn son. Arrived close to midnight on 10th May 2007! I pray that your wife and you will guide your son well in his life =) Congrats to Rachel Chong (who share the same birthday and is exactly 5 years older than me!!), on your ROM with Gilbert soon!!! I'm so happy for you both, always so loving. Have a blissful engagement, marriage, family life etc, and grow old together!!! I wanna go for your wedding!!

Oh ya, regarding this entry on 26th March 2007, I mentioned my ex-colleague Cynthia gave birth to her 2nd son, Deacon. But after I sms her last week, she told me that Deacon changed name to Tobias; for fear that in future people called him Bacon as this name is not heard frequently. I was like o.O ; to me the name Tobias sounds more chim. Dunno why parents nowadays like to call their children really out-of-this-world kinda names! Just call the usual Peter, Jane, Mary, John, Tom or Sally lah! LOL!!

To my Infineon ex-colleagues! I miss all of you loads, but not the workload =x Hope to see you guys real soon!!

Human relationships are so complicated sometimes, especially between close frenz etc. You must be more careful in many ways.

What a 'memorable' time we had at Eastpoint rooftop while attempting to check out the starry Friday night. We almost died of embarrassment though! No mentions of any names. LOL!

From Eastpoint rooftop~ =x

Well, I'm off to reading my Engineering Communications notes now. Yeah I know, exam just ended on Wednesday and I'm starting my reading already. I must change my slack ways of studying already, its not the poly days anymore! I must be ahead of the tutorials and lectures so I can grasp the lessons better; and to prevent last minute revision and cramming of information like the recent AO1 exam! Well at least that's what Papa taught me since Primary 1, although I din do so for the past 13 years of studying =x So in my 14th year of studies, I'll listen to his wise words for once ^^ I'm a guai kia ok...

Happy Birthday to Darren Ho!

Happy Birthday to you Darren Ho ho ho ho!! God bless you always and get your gf soon ya! Thanks for the birthday dinner treat at New York New York! Glad you like your 31 random essential items as your pressie, judging by the way you laughed non-stop as Esther revealed each item to you! Its a real novel idea by Esther and thanks for your effort gal =)

Today was the day I've dreaded and longed for, the exam! Well, God gave me the wisdom to spot the topics that were going to be tested but I kinda crammed too much info into my brain till it was so full that I forgot everything at the table. I was like praying like siao b4 the paper, I was so desperate to pass =x I know I wun do too well either but its ok, this teaches me not to study last minute again. Doing a degree indeed is different from poly diploma days. I am exhausted mentally and physically.

I reckon my jet-black hair have alot more white hairs lately due to the excessive mugging. Think I'm gonna trim, dye and highlight my hair soon, this screwed up weather is giving me free sauna sessions every single night lah! Buai tahan already leh. Ok, I'm off to bed now. Tml I can finally go out and see the sun after being cooped up at home for so long! I feel relieved and another burden has rolled off. I can sleep slightly better tonight =)

Last Minute Mugging!

Madness! Sis and I still awake at this unearthly hour! The 1st MRT train has gone by already, we are crazy! She's busy rushing her design sketches due today while I'm busy mugging last minute for my exam later at 4pm! Darn, and I'm not done yet, so not ready at all. Can the lecturer please delay the exam to Friday?? I've yet to read my biz mgmt notes yet, just finished my mechanics notes only!! Oh dear....

God Answers Prayers =)

My Simulation project is officially safe! Woo hoo~ Thanks to the nice lecturer for helping us, and to God for answering my prayers!

Been receiving tons of forwarded chain smses about Mother's Day, friendship, luck and $$ etc. Please lah, dun believe such things can. If all these are so true, I long ago struck rich and get a Vertu limited edition handphone or sth already lah!

Papa was just telling us that he might bring the family for holiday to Taiwan this December!! God seems to know me so well, actually he does! ;p Bcos I initially planned to go with Zhiwei and his frenz but due to school timetable clashes, I gave it a pass. Well it will be my 21st birthday pressie from Papa too. I was telling Amos previously I wish I could celebrate my 21st birthday overseas, looks like its coming true!! Yay!! I feel so happy now, hopefully we can really go =) Lalalala~ and I get to save $$ on my part too since its an all-expense paid trip by Papa ^^v

I'm still struggling with revision, just too much to swallow. I'm gonna get choked by all these words anytime!! Tml's the day, I got lil confidence that I'll pass this paper well bcos I still know nuts! I'm so gonna die... I need a miracle, maybe a smart brain for at least today and tml pls!! So scary =

Fun, Stoning, Miracles, Spinning

We had a mini surprise birthday celebration for Darren's 31st, in advance yesterday after morning service. It was funny to see his shocked yet happy expression when he saw all the Region 5/6 youths gathered in the Left Wing room as he wriggled his way in from the fire escape route -.- Esther's idea.. Hahaha!

2 mini durian cakes and his fave durian milkshake =)

Went for revision with the guys, we ended up stoning after 2h of mechanics craps. It was bad. After reading the past exam questions, we were more stressed. Told them again about the project missing financial reports, they gave me that oh-too-bad expression. I'm going down to the school later to submit lor, thank goodness I emailed lecturer for help. Phew, close one! Thank God for answering my prayers!

A good thing I came for evening service last night, despite the demoralising revision and tiredness. It was Power Night, which is actually a session set aside for healing purposes, both emotional or physical needs. Yesterday I finally witnessed 2 miracles: 1 old man and old woman who were sitting on wheelchairs initally, went for prayer. After prayer, the old man stood up to walk up and down. The old lady, I think she got stroke; the pastor was praying for all her 4 limbs, then started to move them and finally let her stand on her 2 feet, and you guess it right! She stood up and walked around so much!

Both ended up pushing their wheelchairs home, w/o sitting in it!! How good God is man!!!!! You should have seen their faces, so radiant and amazed, so was Su Ping and I! Well I'm still praying that my mama gets healed soon too! There are others who have emotional needs too, hopefully their wounds will recover soon, I'm still praying for ya ;p

Head was spinning terribly after dinner, I thought I was gonna get sick. It must be exam stress! Omg! Looking at my notes and books, I'm feeling so dreadful now. Shit. I need to get thru this darn module!

Mugging Mode, no MOS!

Angelina just called me to go MOS with her tonight, but I had to reject her offer bcos I'm still in mugging mode. Haiz. What a dread studying can get, I mean working is equally dreadful lah. I just wanna go out and play hard! Long way ahead tml, as usual for my Sundays.

OMG!

OMG!! My project group is so dead! We forgot to put in the financial reports for the 4 selected companies into our simulation project report appendix. Darn! No wonder I felt sth was missing when Chris submitted the report on Thursday. I just realised that only sia! Worse still, on wkends the main office is closed, that means we gotta wait till next Monday; by then all our reports will be on their way to Australia for grading already! Shit lah! I wonder how the guys will react tml morning when they read my sms... We are so gonna die.... God, help us!!

*UPDATE: Lecturer allowed us to add in the reports back! So happy!*

Rising Persecution on Christians

http://www.christianity.com/religiontoday/11539752.aspx
Another article on the persecution on Christian believers, this time in Islam-dominated Turkey. We must brace up for the coming battle even in Singapore, real soon! Dun waver in your faith ya =)

Anyway I was telling some peeps that my exam for Aerospace Operations 1 is next Wednesday, 9th May. All of them have the same words of encouragements for me,"Julia, you sure can do it one. I got confidence in you!" Wah when I hear those words again and again from different people, I felt so boosted up within, every1 think I can do well; yet my heart is stuck with an invisible worried feeling too. Its the jitters and the butterflies and the mindset that I dunno anything abt aerospace. I'm scared, bcos I got no idea what I have learnt from the lectures from the old man. But I was really trying hard to study for the past 3 days, I did not slack as much though. Gonna study with the guys this Sunday, hope I can understand more by then. Argh. So worried.

Back to Reality

Have decided to be a good lil girl and started on my exam revision already. Tried to do abit yesterday and today, its tough but I shall persevere on. Finally able to go for net group (aka cell group in some churches) today as I got no more tutorial classes till end May. Should have seen the guys' faces earlier on, shocked as if they've seen a ghost or sth. LOL!

Bumped into Simon while heading to KFC for supper, so we had a lil short chat together. Sometimes its nice to just chillout and enjoy the company of people around us. Save all the politics and backstabbing, troubles and nonsense, just fun and laughter. So naive thinking of me, but I seriously wish that's life man. Sighs. Back to reality, back to mugging for exam!

*Check this devotional article out: http://www.christianity.com/devotionals/powerpoint/11539699.aspx . I'm starting to love this website man! So many interesting and great stuff about improving and nurturing our Christian lives with the BIG One up above!!*

The End is Near!

Woo hoo!! Simulation Project is done and over!! My heart is still pumping so fast from the rush earlier on. I'm worn out mentally man! Exam revision is next up, I really need help from the guys!! Contemplating if I should start tonight or not. Sighs. I need a good long warm bath to cool my tired brain 1st. I hope tonite wun rain, hate it.

I just read this article on persecution in India on www.christianity.com and my heart was stirred up within. Check this link out: http://www.christianity.com/religiontoday/11539619.aspx. The last days are coming real fast. There have been numerous signs about the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ.

Some people still dun believe that this will happen, but I'm very sure that it will come! Natural disasters, weird mutations, Mother Earth dying of greenhouse effect, rare diseases keep appearing and people all over the world are suffering from all kinds of epidemics. Singapore is still so safe that no1 really bother abt these signs. Most of us take these for granted, time to wake up man... I'm no prophet but I want every1 to know that our time on Earth is limited, so make full use of it ya =) Sorry my title sounds so morbid, but it has a meaning in these 3 points I've written today.

Rewind back to 1993

Ahh~ Those were the days man! This class photo brings back fond memories of my Primary 1 class! I still remember most of the kids in the picture, surprisingly!! Plus my then-form teacher, Ms Doris Tai, she got the same name as my mama lah. Her hairdo back then was so passe! Kinda easy to spot me, and if you do, have a good laugh =D Sorry, no prizes given!

The girl on my left was my best friend back then, she's called Dianne. I lost contact with her already. She is a beautiful girl, back then and even now. Saw her 2 years back when she was at SIM and I at NP. She's a mixed Asian: 1/2 Filipino and 1/2 Chinese. I'm also a mixed kid, something new to you eh... 3/4 Chinese, 1/4 Paranakan *dunno how to spell it* (oh, bcos Pa's mama is one..) Haha! I just found out 2 mths ago from my own mama. I was more shocked than you guys man! No longer my papa's skin tone looked darker than other Chinese guys. Weird stuff do happen everyday eh...

June Chiang and Rachel Tan are still those 2 whom I have constantly kept in touch with too! Kuanyi, Cornelia, Joy Fu, Rachel Marie etc etc. I remember our class monitor, a total geek brain: Yang En Jun! I still remember this nerd's name till now, bcos he was so fat and always a super big schoolbag everyday! There's this sissy boy, Jun Yuan (sitting on Ms Tai's right), he was always acting so gu-niang, gross! This boy, Gabriel was so short, saw him last year around my neighbourhood, was around my height or shorter abit. Not bad eh, puberty is great!

All the kids back then wearing spectacles were bad fashion statements: just look at the BIG specs frames and lenses!! Enjoy laughing at the picture. If got any1 who's in the picture, and is reading this entry, tag me ya!! Would love to hear from ya!
