The Smile says it all

Dare I say it? The snow is finally melted. Spring is on the way. We had a warm day today (50 degrees maybe) and no wind. The kids were outside playing, I cleared out a flower bed and YEAH! daffodils are starting to sprout out of the ground. We put the trampoline back up and we are happy to be playing outside.

GO JAZZ!

We went to a Utah Jazz basketball game. It was tons of fun. They played the Houston Rockets. We drove down, dropped -L- and -K- at my sister's and got to the game early enough to watch some of the team warm up. Then the game was full of excitement. It was a close game, and the Jazz won. Spalding and -N-drove home that night with our friends and the girls and I stayed at my sisters for the night. It was a quick trip, but lots of fun.

We were up kind of high and behind the basket, but still had a great view and a fun time.

Adventures in Ice Fishing: Part 2

We went ice fishing again. If you missed our first adventure, you can go here to read about it.We found the place quickly, we didn't have anyone fall into the water, and we didn't get stuck. Spalding borrowed a gas powered auger to dig holes quickly. -L- was happy to have hot chocolate in her crayola thermos. We even caught some fish. I caught the first fish, a little 6 inch perch. -N- caught the other fish, a nice 10 inch trout. -E- had a good time too, even though she didn't catch a fish. She was glad that she wouldn't have to eat it.The rule I adopted from my mom's house: "you catch it, you clean it." He even fried it up and ate it all on his own.
He asked me if grandpa ever goes ice fishing. I told him that I didn't think so. He wants to know how he can wait until summer fishing season!
