Twilight Movie

So, basically, I wanted to watch the movie "Twilight"

From home, but with good resolution.

So I was surfing the net and saw this website : iwannadownload.com

The resolution looks good, much better than watching it on http://www.watch-movies.net, because the resolution is way better, and I don't have to stone in front of my computer waiting for it to load.

But really, I loved the book Twilight, so I guess I was really looking forward to watching the movie!

And Oh My Gosh! It's my exam week and I'm downloading movies.

Oh well.. I'l study.. Once I'm done downloading and watching my movie XD

A weird question

My day today

Yup yup!

I am finally blogging on my personal life again! After loads of senseless but somewhat entertaining pictures (I hope!), many poems, and some emo posts that don't really make sense, I am going to blog on my day today!

So, today I met Poa Yin for lunch (really funny guy). It was raining heavily, and we had agreed to meet at King Albert Park McDonalds for lunch.

I, of course, brought my umbrella. He, of course, did not.

He was at Bukit Timah Plaza, so he definately needed an umbrella, or else he would have to kiss his laptop goodbye! (A rather nice thing though XD Since his laptop is cursed by the Habbo curse! LOL!)

So, naturally he had to buy one from NTUC there. He spent $7.50 to buy an umbrella, so that he could meet me for lunch.

Here is the best part:

Because he bought the umbrella, he had no more cash on hand to buy lunch!

So, he had to go to an ATM to withdraw his money for lunch. By the time he was back, I was almost done eating my lunch.

And Mr. Very Smart forgot to buy student meal. Then he forgot to upsize his meal, and bought 2 drinks instead. (Hilarious! You guys should seriously eat with him XD)

After that, I couldn't finish eating my french fries, so I asked him if he wanted to polish off my share of fries.

His reply was: " No prob! Give them all to me!"

Then, while eating them, he was telling me that he is on a diet -.-"

Go figure!

Which reminded me of a lunch with him and a few group mates a semester ago.

Mr. PY, who said that he was on a DIET, polished off a plate of rice with side ingredients of meat, meat and more meat, ate takoyaki and some other fried snacks. After which, he helped himself to 2 chocolate cornflakes cookies that I made for my group.

He desperately needs help when it comes to dieting! *insert evil snigger here*

After that, I had social psychology class. And during which, I was msn-ing with a friend. I asked him: " What Interdisciplinary Studies module are you taking?"

His reply was: "I'm a flasher"

Ok. So he learns flash. Nice way of saying it though! Because it sounds so wrong and sinful! *insert mock horrified face here*

So that made me think. If learning flash makes him a flasher, I guess learning psychology makes me a psycho right?

Really, English is so fun. Playing around with words is sometimes really amusing! XD

Lost Love

When I was once a little girl,
Life was pure white like a pearl.
Love was simple, love was pure,
As well as being simply immature.

I saw my parent’s happy daily lives,
Thought marriage meant happy wives.
So I turned and told my papa too,
When I grow up I’ll marry you!

He laughed as he carried me high,
Silly girl, was his only reply.
Much has since come to pass,
Many years has since passed.

Relationships had since come & gone,
From Love’s games I had withdrawn.
Living life independent, on my own,
Doing everything I want, yet all alone.

That was until you crossed my path,
And I fell in love with your laugh.

Free Bus Ride

Woohoo!

Had a free bus ride today.

Why?

Because it's Great Eastern's 100th Anniversery, so anyone who happens to board a particular bus (74) would get a free bus ride!

Don't believe me? Here, I will give you proof:

Cool right?

I must commend them on their brilliant marketing strategy though. Everyone who boarded the bus was curious as to why the ride was free for that particular bus. Was the machine spoilt? Are they supposed to pay cash? What should they do?

Then of course, the bus driver would say its a free ride today as it is the anniversery of this certain company.

Really.

This is brilliant.

Everyone who boarded that bus would be talking about it. A group of school boys i saw boarding the bus were absolutely exhilarated. One was even going: "Later I'm gonna tell my mum!"

The whole Singapore would know of it. Well done!

But I'm really glad. It helped me to save $1.28 today on bus ride expenses (I'm a cheapo, so sue me!)

Thanks Great Eastern, hope you do this on a yearly basis :D

A Mother's Pain - Illness

Keening wails penetrated the stillness,
She turned and worried over the illness.
Her beloved child had taken sick,
Sweat on her brow made it slick.

Lips moved fervently in a whispered prayer,
My child is only one, not now, not here!
Frantic to bring down the burning heat,
Ignoring death that she was trying to cheat.

Silence reigned as wailing subsided,
Sickness fled under the care she provided.
Her child’s life was finally safe and sound,
She sighed with relief sinking to the ground.

A year has since that day passed,
Her beloved child was growing fast.
Soon speech to the child would come,
She couldn’t wait to hear the word mum.

Mama – the words she longed to hear,

A distended belly that grew each day,
The pressure that made her feet sway.

Convincing herself daily it was well worth,
She would soon lose her increasing girth.
Soon she could do what she used to,
As her movement slowed as she grew.

Eight and a half months have since passed,
She had to admit she wasn’t having a blast.
A nagging pain in the small of her back,
Pain giving her constant anxiety attack.

Swiftly the pain without warning struck,
On the delivery bed she began to buck.
Such great pain and so much blood,
To bear what had nine months earlier bud.

With a final push with all her strength,
Collapsing as it finally emerged at length.
The pain of nine months and the birth,
For her child everything was worth.


Well, I was just thinking of our mothers and the pain they had to go through to bring us into this world.

9 months of carrying the child:
1. gaining weight
2. unable to do many things
3. baby sucks mum’s calcium (leaving the mother with a lack of calcium later).
4. The weight of carrying the baby causes the way the veins look in the calves. (Look at your mother's legs as she grows older, the veins popping out through her skin are from carrying you for nine months.)

Birth:
1. Pain in giving birth
2. Fear of anything happening to the child (stillborn / child gets stuck / child is born differently in any way)

Bringing up:
1. Defiance / rebellion
2. love, punishment – brings pain to both to parent and child
3. loss – through marriage / death

During Old age:
1. some parents abandoned
2. children don’t visit often
3. pain and brittle bones – lack of calcium.
4. Other dieseases that strikes as they are at their weakest in life.

Well, this poem is only the part about the nine months and about the birth. If you guys want to hear more, i won't mind writing the part on bringing up their children and their old age.

This poem is dedicated to all mothers. (You can use this on mother's day or her birthday - it is really touching i guess.. But please ask for my permission first? Because I wrote this as a birthday present for my mum. So it kind of belongs to HER.. lol)

Human Nature


Blaming others for their nurture,
Never admitting it’s your nature.
The fault is theirs alone to belong,
You can never ever be at wrong.

Point your fingers to the rest,

The fault clearly lies with them,
And it’s them that you condemn.

But in deep down in your heart,
You know the fault lies in your part.

Failure struck its blows unceasingly,

The sweet temptation to end it all,

Maybe I should just give up,
Drink euphoria from a cup.
Joy from me had been stolen,
Depression to me has befallen.

But a light to me it called,
And I stood deeply enthralled.
Encouragements to me it cried,
Demons of my heart began to hide.

The light shone brightly by my side,
And the demons began to fade inside.
It told me to do my best once more,
Taunts and jeers I must ignore.

The world is for me to explore,
There will be a day I can soar.
I will destroy despair’s chain,
I will stand tall once again.

Finally! After 3 days of eating cup corn for lunch, I am free of cup corn^^
Now I can eat REAL food! Like Japanese food, and all other food! The only problem is: I have no appetite to eat nowadays T_T

Haix...

I blame the corn.

I hate you corn!! You made me lose my appetite! ROARS!!

Life just gets worse.

So, today my mum found that $50 was missing from her wallet, so she thought it was either me or my sis who took the money. And she checked our wallets and piggy banks. Not much to check for mine though because my wallet and piggy bank are empty of all cash. I am bankrupt. WooHoo~

But she looked through every single receipt in my wallet -.-"

And there was one from The Body Shop where I bought Lip Balm. And I got scolded fo wasting money. WTBBQ. It was the cheapest lip balm there, and I hate it when my lips crack, because I will always tear the dried skin, then ouch! I start bleeding. Is there a problem with that?

Well, apparently according to her, there is a problem. -.-"

Next, she asked why I was broke.

It's because 2 people owe me $50 each.

So I got shouted at because she said i shouldn't lend people money. Fine.

The first person, I didn't even lend him money. He owed me to begin with in exchange for goods.

The second person borrowed money from me to see a doctor. I have compassion and sympathy for her, so sue me ok?

And now she says that if she finds out that I stole her money, she will punish me severely. And she was holding several hangers while saying that, so i guess punishment is physical. Not that she will get to punish me, because I never entered her room yesterday, nor have I entered her room for a week. Please, I have better things to do with my life than to hang out in her room. I prefer my own, prefably with the door shut and music blasting in my ears so that I don't have to hear her. Not that she ever allows me to shut my room door unless I am sleeping.

So she came in and scolded me again just as I finished typing the paragraph above.
Guess what? She was scolding me about lending people money. She says that I am stupid and I got tricked and my friends won't ever return me my money. And next time she forbids me from lending anyone money again -.-"

Seriously. WTH am I even born in the first place -.-"

The geniousity of my mum

So, I told her not to toast my second batch of eclair cream puffs from beard papa (worth $7.20)

And WOW she didn't toast them! WooHoo~

She did something BETTER.

She woke up at 5 a.m. to take them out of the fridge so that they won't be cold when i eat them at 8 a.m. -.-"

She has this belief that food should not be eaten cold from the fridge cos it has lots of bacteria and all that. Like, ERM.. Ice cream is not eaten cold? HELLO~~

[Cream puffs = must eat cold] <-- This is the equation of the century!!

Moving on, I told her I wanted to get my hair cut at kimage ($16), or a jean yip student cut ($10). But she said that Jean Yip and Kimage are too expensive, or have too much waiting time. Fine.

Know what she told me today? "Why don't you go to my hairdressing salon - Cut & Curl? It's only $16.20 because I have a 10% discount, so from $18 it drops to $16.20 only!"

So I learnt something new^^
$16.20 is a smaller sum of money than $16 or $10. Also, cut & curl is more famous and trustworthy than Jean Yip & Kimage, who even have their own hairdressing training schools.

Isn't that so cool?

NOT.

Maybe I should just cut my hair on my own and bill her $20 for it or something ^^

Reality sux -.-"

Seriously, I don’t think my life can get any suckier than it already is. However, life and reality really love to prove me wrong I guess? It’s like, life is trying to find the boundaries of my limits before I go over the edge and go totally insane or something.

So what happened yesterday was, I was so darn broke, but out of the I-don’t-know-what of my heart, I decided to splurge $8.80 on some really expensive pastries. Then my friend was hungry, so I gave her 1 of the pastries, which left me with three pastries to bring home. Which was totally fine with me, because it leaves one for me, one for mummy and one for my little sister, though God knows she doesn’t deserve it! But anyway, I brought it home and my mum said that we would eat it for breakfast the next morning, which was cool with me.

But she saw this bag I got from someone, which did not cost me anything at all, but I really liked that bag. But she shouted at me -.-"

According to her, I have too many bags, not enough space to keep the bags, and I am very vain and a spendthrift. Like.. WTBBQ?

For your information, I have THREE bags. THREE that I actually use:
1. Backpack for carrying my laptop and heavy books to school. (It’s so kiddy)
2. Sling bag for school when I have less things to carry. (It’s too small)
3. Camping bag, a sports water-polo bag for camping purposes. (As if I can use it on a daily basis! And the straps to carry it are totally going to fall off soon!)

So this bag would be really nice. But mummy had to insist that I sell it away, give it away or something!

So fine. I’ll get rid of the bag.

The next morning, she put all my pastries in the toaster and burnt them to crisp.

May I ask, WHO THE HECK puts TIRAMISU into a toaster? WHO??? And you don’t put beard papa cream puffs in the toaster, especially since I chilled them on purpose!!

So I had no breakfast. And $6 just got toasted in the toaster. =_="

And she told me to relax? Did she relax when I got a really nice free bag worth $69? She told me not to be so uptight, must relax in life and all that. She only tells me that if she does something wrong. If I do something wrong, and I tell her to relax, I would get a really bad scolding form her.

Life can’t get worse right?

WRONG!!

I left the house EARLY so that I can go to school earlier. But guess what? I got STUCK in the stupid lift.
So doing what any normal person would do, I pressed the alarm! YAY! I’m saved!!

I WISH.

So I waited, and waited, and waited.

And I pressed the alarm every five minutes so as not to annoy the heck out of my neighbours.

My handphone was totally MIA, and there was no internet connection in the lift (FIGURED), so I couldn’t ask people to save me T_T

The best part is, I live in a condo, where the guards are PAID to make sure I get saved if I’m stuck in the lift right? But I had to wait 20 minutes for them to even notice that I was spamming their stupid alarm bell, then they asked me through the intercom: “Anyone there?”

I was so tempted to reply: “No! It’s the Christmas ghost stuck in the lift!”

But I didn’t. *round of applause for my restraint*

So after they found out I was stuck, they saved me in 10 minutes, which made it 30 minutes in the stupid lift, with nothing to entertain me.

So, nothing can get worse right?

HAHA!! IT TOTALLY DID T_T

SBS Bus number 74. I officially declare you my public enemy number 1. WHY THE HECK do I have to wait 37 minutes for my bus? WHY????

So instead of being early to class, I was 25 minutes late, aka marked as absent. (Darn you lift and bus!)

Nothing could go wrong next right??

WRONG.

My lovely laptop could not connect to the internet. Which made it impossible for me to do anything at all. So basically, all I can do during my lessons is to type this blog entry in Microsoft words. Thank God it doesn’t need the internet.

So, if one more thing goes wrong today, I will absolutely ROAR!!

I wanted to roar, but had no strength. I think it sounded more like meow than a roar?

But back to my series of unfortunate sui-ness.

1. I just found out that I'm running a fever. O M G.

2. When I reached home, I got scolded. Why? Because I was stuck in the lift ^^
Seriously -.-"
It is not as if i pressed 20 buttons and jammed my lift. It is totally not my fault at all!!
I just pressed 2 buttons. Lvl 1 and door close. Thats all!!

So, what she was scolding me about was that I should have left my house earlier -.-"
Which I did -.-"

And she said that I should leave the house 30 minutes earlier everyday in case the lift ever breaks down again.
Point of information: I am already doing that and i am always rotting in school because I'm too early for my classes.

And the funniest part is she said this: you should know that the lift breaks down sometimes so you should be prepared.
As if the lift emailed me to tell me it would be trapping me inside today and please prepare for it? How would I know? >.<

New Blogskin!! WOOHOO!!

Mobile Phones / Handphones

Mobile Phones. Should I love them or hate them?

Sometimes, I love my phone, the camera, the functions, the usability and much more!
Sometimes, when it gives me problems, i just feel like throwing them out of the window, or against a wall!

What happened this week to my phone:
Day 1 (Sunday) : Dropped it once because I was knocked into.
Day 2 (Monday) : It would not play my ringtone or vibrate.
Day 3 (Tuesday) : I cannot hear the dialing tone when I make outgoing calls, nor can i hear what people say when I make outgoing calls. Incoming calls can be heard though, only my phone does not ring. =.="
Day 4 (Wednesday): My phone's screen turns some weird colour everytime I plug in my earplugs into the phone.
Day 5 (Thursday) : My phone's screen turns some weird colour everytime i recieve a call or sms as well.
Day 6 (Friday) : It can't be turned on.
Day 7 (Saturday) : I am going to go to the repair shop, to let someone try to get my phone working again.

So, just ONE drop caused my phone to go absolutely insane. Now, all my phone numbers of my contacts are lost, as are the photographs I have taken, songs and recordings, and lots of other sentimental stuff. It successfully destroyed and annihilated all that I loved about it.

So, just tell me: Should I love or hate you - my ex handphone?
