And so prelims came and went away like the wind. It was a mentally challenging period of time. I guess the best thing to do aftere prelims is to erm, celebrate? :D Over what? Beats me.

To be frank, celerbations started during the midst of the prelims. HAHA. Watched four movies during this whole period - Wall-E, Babylon A.D, Death Race and Mama Mia. Three of which reached expectations, only one was quite lousy (I shall let you guess which movie it is. :P).

Okay, so this was how I spent my two precious days of holidays.

On monday, Jeanne, Joseph, Megan, Wayne and myself had a fun afternoon at marina square. We had lunch at hong kong cafe before watching Mama Mia! Mama Mia is arguably one of my favourite movies of the year. It's just so happy, cheery and yes, disturbing. HAHA. I can never watch the old james bond movies with pierce bronsnan in it the same way ever again. One reason why I enjoyed the movie was due to the fact that I'm someone who enjoys listening to oldies songs and ABBA songs are definitely not excluded.

Yummy milk tea!

Nice cubicle we sat at.

Besides watching Mama Mia, we went to the arcade where Jeanne and Megan got forced to dance para para. Bishi bashi was love. After which we proceeded to bowling! It was boys versus girls. To win, their combined score had to be higher than half our total score and if we lost, we had to play the embarassing para para. Okay fine, we lost. HAHA. (hides face..) Definitely one of the most simple and funnest outings of the year I've had with friends.

Boys versus Girls.

A friendly, non-competitive photo.

On tuesday, we had class outing to Sentosa, again... The sun was sorching hot. I spent half the time chilling out at 7-11 with the air-con at full blast. It was fun playing against strangers during beach soccer! Minus the burning sand and the cuts on my toes. I left early to sent my sister off so I didn't really do much. Let the photos do the talking.

On the way to Palawan beach!

Backseat gang. :D

At night I sent my sister off to pretty London. The two months she had in Singapore was very fun I had to admit. I guess I'll only get to see her there in December.

That was how I spent my two days of holidays. Sadly, it passed so quickly. After the whole day was over, I finally decided to face reality and checked out the 'A' level timetable. Oh boy, I got a pleasant shock.

I went back to school today feeling really high. I guess I really missed school a lot, a lot. We are only left with 7 more school days to officially don the VJ uniform, sadly. I have to admit the VJ uniform is not the most comfortable uniform around but I just feel so proud wearing it. We got back results for maths and econs, my two best subjects. I was rather disappointed with my results, but I guess I've done my best. I came to a conclusion that hard work can only take you so far, and the rest is really not up to us to decide. Oh well, I guess we can do our part by working the hardest.

After school, I had a nice lunch at this Japanese Pasta Restaurant at City Link Mall with Samuel, Wayne and Megan. It's always great to be a student as we can enjoy student discounts. After which, we studied at Marina Square food court. I guess that marks the start of another season of hard-core studying. The last time I will ever have to study so hard, for the next two and a half years at least.

Nice pasta lunch.

I'm really tired of everything that's going on, shan't go into the details. But yes, I shall press on, and you should too. :) Nil Sine Labore.

Boo..

This was the first time I intentionally left out a topic to study. And it just had to come out.. One question, 9 marks, blank. Out of a paper that only had 60 marks..

To know it could have been done easily if I studied it.

Bahhh, the feeling is bad. I don't like blanks.

I've finally managed to find time to blog.

So yes, I'm now 18 years of age. It didn't really feel as though I've had a birthday though, honestly, due to the fact that prelims were the day after. In fact, it was chemistry and economics papers first. I spent my birthday going to church alone for first service (haha yes Kelly, I didn't go for 3rd and I think I regretted) and studied at home the whole day long. Amazing way to spend a birthday. I shall be sour grapes and just say that birthdays are like any other day. Haha.

Thanks to all who wished me. Appreciate it. Thanks Michelle and Jovena for calling me right when the clock struck 12, my two very reliable friends. :D You two really made my day. Not to mention the other floorballers who called and mass-conference call too.

Really like to specifically thank these two groups of people - my prayer group friends and my fellow floorballers for celebrating my birthday.

Last thursday, I was given a rather pleasant surprise by my prayer group friends. I had 100% no idea that they were planning something and I thought we were meeting up just to pray. In fact, they had planned to surprise the sept babies - Wayne, Melodie and myself. Melodie and I reached the designated meeting point at the bus-stop, only to receive a message to follow the trail left behind on the various trees and poles as shown below.

We followed it all the way in the direction of East Coast Park, which eventually led us back into Neptune Court where they surprised us! They made us this really nice boards with personal messages stuck onto them. So sweet of them! I'm really a sucker for personalised cards. It was unfortunate that Wayne wasn't present at that time to join in the celebrations. I feel really blessed to have this group of friends and meeting up every morning at the grandstand has really brought more joy to coming to school.

The nice boards that they made.

Melodie and I with our birthday fruit tarts. Haha.

Prayer group friends! (Wayne's just hiding somewhere in the bus. :P)

Secondly, I would like to thank the floorballers for celebrating after chemistry paper on monday! Really appreciate it. It made my day after the disasterous chemistry paper. I'm sorry if I haven't been devoting much time to you guys after season ended. Really looking forward to the college sports representatives dinner after prelims with you guys!

Last week was a rather fast week. I spent most of the days studying at the study room at Sam's condominium. It's really a very nice, cosy place to study. We celebrated wayne's birthday too on wednesday. We blindfolded him and made him walk all the way from the study lounge to a cafe off the National Library. Funny.

Weird stares from the crowd as the birthday boy crossed the road.

Okay, that's all. Bulk of the prelims are over already. Prelims haven't been going well for me. Monday was the first time I left my graphic calculator at home, only to realise it 5minutes before the exam. I was really panicking. Thankfully, chris (MFJ) managed to lent me his on time. Phew. I hope I can persevere through till the last paper is over. All the best my friends for your prelims/promos. :)
