once again, at this time of the year...

my sister leaves for london to further her studies! it's so funny that she left two times in a row right before a major examination. last year it was 2nights before my core geog prelims paper. and this year it had to be the night before the prelim paper..

and so, i didn't get a chance to send her off.. because i didn't finish my econs and got asked to stay home..

right at this very moment while she's checking in at the airport, here i am typing this redundant post while eating my chicken rice, all alone in this unusually quiet house. not to forget worrying about how i can finish two chapters of econs - income inequality and government failure by 10...

grrr..

anyway i hope she will have another good term over there in london. :)

i thought it was quite funny i had to dress up just to take a nice photo in my own house..

haha and so GP was today..

and i did a really weird topic that is..

"What makes a great film?"

i tell you, i was planning my points for another question and then i had a sudden inspiration to embark on that question! hahaha. i'm on my way to become a famous film critic. yeah right. reading up movie reviews all the time at websites like rotten tomatoes and the internet movie database has finally paid off. i'm such a movie-junkie. haha. i hope the marker dont mark me down!

Exams are a common mishap.

Promos are coming so soon and i'm feeling so so lousy to be honest. i'm sad because i'm studying so hard and everything and i know in the end i would just get below average grades. i see the people around me and i really admire their abilities. how they can be so smart and all... while others take 2hours to complete a chapter, i take 4hours.

it's even worse when i'm so pressured to do well or rather pass my promos when i have to set a good example for my teammates. teachers telling me to study hard and pass properly. wanting me to work hard and see good grades. i work hard but i don't really know if i can get that.

to be honest, i won't be surprised if i end up with straight Es.

BUT, anyway, no matter how depressing the situation might seem, i'm still gonna carry on studying and working hard.

Okay, enough of all this studies nonsense for now..

On the other hand, i think i have a problem with communication.

just recently, i don't know why certain things came out of my mouth the way i didn't want it to be. and the things that came out won't good things. but but but, it wasn't what was in my head! arghhh.. that feeling really is so bad when you say what you didn't mean and get misinterpreted. maybe next time i should think longer before i speak instead of blabbering out words. that way my reputation won't get tarnished so easily too.

communication. ohh boy. i need some good communication skills before i say more wrong things, like i always do.

okay, no more sad stuff now...

i realised my dad managed to get a special edition halo3 xbox360 because we renewed our maxonline contract!! HOORAY!! and you know what?? i have to collect it right smack in the middle of the promos week. -.-""""" i really hope i dont get distracted. BUT WAIT, i have to convince my dad not to sell it off first!! hahaha. evil me. :D i can just go and play all day and fail my A's already. kidding!

OH YES, after THREE YEARS....

my fat, old iPod decided to take a break and go for slimming and become.... iPod nano!! hahaha. okay that's lame. the new nanos get released last week at a very much reduced price. my present one had this problem with the battery (too short for my outside studying hours) and i thought it was a good time to switch! in addition, the new one is like so cool with its new interface and all, minus its fatness. sadly, i had to fork out a whole chunk of my savings for it, because i thought at first i didnt have to pay so much while my parents decided otherwise.

you know it's funny when..

you don't want to study but have to study..

haha! that's happenning to me now. it's so so annoying falling sick during this crucial period when all i can do is just sleep due to my drowsy medicine. it's so annoying when you can't taste your food, talk properly or hear clearly.

at least i'm getting better! hooray for the white blood cells in my body!

oh my, please save me from the oncoming onslaught of promos. i really need some superhuman strength.

Okay, so now i'm err... 16?? uhh no. i'm 17! well, i guess i had the best birthday this year thanks to my vjc friends who did so much! haha! i'm so happy i had 3 birthday cakes this year. i havent had one since p3, surprisingly. Haha. so 1... 2... 3... Happy birthday to me! Oh wait! haha happy birthday to kelly too! we both have the same birthday!

It all started on 6th september. The whole south-east asian gang in class celebrated wayne and my birthday at vivo city. They made us wear the same shirt all over vivo and it was rather striking and we looked really like a gay couple. =X We went to marche to eat, followed by attempts to dunk us into the fountain. After which, they went to study but i couldn't follow as i wasn't feeling well and went back to rest. Not to mention they bought me this chinese idioms book which i dont understand. =X Thanks so much class people! :) i don't have the photos with me now so i can't upload them.

Then came the BIG DAY. hahaha.

I spent the first few moments of my birthday scanning tutorials for van. haha you should be so honoured! then anthea and dom called to sing me a birthday song which was quite funny! i slept quite late doing up some stuffs and qas too excited to sleep!

I spent my morning and noon with the floorball people. What could be better than playing floorball on my birthday?? HAHA. floorball rocks man. i think i had some birthday aura during that session! we all had so much fun playing at valhall. the guys got me a floorball grip and it was really nice of them! :D somemore my grip is like quite dirty and smelly.

After which we went to KFC to have our lunch and they celebrated kelly's and my birthday! it was nice getting to celebrate the same birthday with a close friend this year.

After which, i went home to get all changed and washed up to meet anthea, dominic and vanessa for dinner at city hall! :D Then came the highlight of the day! We went to Billy Bombers and the restaurant gave me a billy bombers cap and some fabric paint to design on it. So they drew their stuffs on it and it was really funny! How an ant become a snail and eventually 3dots and how a van looked like a car and the BIG "pimpster". They bought me some really funky presents like erm... flashy trunks underwear from topman? HAHA. it was interesting though!

After which we headed for the esplanade area to sit by the riverside and watch a policeman chase little kids away from the floating air displays thingy. HAHA! i got chased away too! =X We chatted for quite some time before we had to leave. They really really made this birthday so memoriable and enjoyable! It ended my september holidays on a high note. Thanks so much guys! You people really rock so much!

not to mention my group of closer church friends too who celebrated my birthday after youth service on saturday! when i came to church everybody starting handing me this flower thingy which two of them gave out to people to give to me. it was a really pleasant surprise as all of a sudden everybody started giving them to me. thanks so much! i really appreciate these friendships we had over the past few years. through thick and thin we went through it. i promise i will spend more time with you people after drifting away from the church this year. sorry leslie, this pic you weren't inside, i will update the pic with you in it when clarence sends me.

i was so let down for a moment as i have been anticipating to buy it for so long.

haha. today i developed my photos. and im so happy because they look better on a photograph :D

i think after promos i'm going do up my photos and display them nicely!
