Fight, fight, fight for Washington State!

Well, school has started up and that means so has college football. This particular post will be talking about the BYU vs. WSU and they just both happen to be cougars!!! Our friends Holly and Justin gave us some tickets to the game and so we decided to go. Even though Jarrod nor I are BYU fans, we went because they were playing my Alma Mater. I only have the best of memories of going to football games and it had been forever since I have been to one. So there we found ourselves in the end zone soaked (cuz we got hit by a spurt of rain) in the midst of all the die hard BYU fans. Even though Washington State didn't come to play that night, we still had an enjoyable time. Some perks of the night was doing something fun with Jarrod, seeing my good friend Andy (which i haven't seen in years), and cheering on the WSU Cougs! So all you BYU fans that went ahead and took the time to taunt me, it was a wasted effort. Whether or not if my Cougs lost, they are still the true Cougs. And remember my friends true Cougs, bleed Crimson...bahaha!!!

Until next time...ENJOY!!!

GO COUGS!!!

Finally made it to our seats and we are sopping wet.

Yay!!!

My visit to Loa

Every year Wayne County has their fair and I love to go down and visit my brother's family and see the parade. Jarrod and I usually go down together, but this year Jarrod had another family obligation, so I asked my Mom to go with me. I had so much fun and it was so good to see Troy and his family. It was sorta the last fun thing of summer before we get back to the hustle and bustle of school and work. I went to the parade saturday morning where I saw some great floats. They of course throw tons of candy and other goodies. I then went to the fair and saw the booth that my niece, Charity, was selling pins and bracelets. I also went and saw the displays where my other niece was displaying a quilt she made and that is going to the state fair. That night we went over to Troy's house where we watched The Hunger Games outside. My brother set up the projector and it was like we were at the drive in theater. It did get rather cold, but it was still a blast. Even though I missed Jarrod and wished he was there with me I still had a great time visiting with Troy and his fam and also my Mom before she moved to Charleston, SC.

Until next time...ENJOY!!!

Me and EB waiting for the parade to start-it was really bright out!

Tanner, Andrew, and Tina

EB practicing his cheering so he can get lots of candy

I thought these were so cute. They are airplanes-I think they were made out of propane tanks?

This float my nieces were part of. It was to celebrate 4-H's birthday. i thought it was one of the best floats.

Our blog!

I have decided to keep our blog. I only got one comment on my post about continuing to blog or to just bag the whole thing, but that one comment has kept me going...thanks Val!!! Well with my parents moving to Charleston, SC and most of my siblings live 3 hrs or more away and so do Jarrod's parents and I know there are a few people who still read and enjoy my blog, I will continue trying to keep it up. (how is that for a run on sentence...haha!!!) I make no promises. Most importantly I am keeping this blog for MOI, cuz i love to look back and read what I have written and also it is a great journal, that I will make into a book someday. So continue to check back and there just might be a new post for you to enjoy.

Until next time...ENJOY!!!

Happy Anniversary!!!

Our wedding anniversary is Aug. 22 and this year we spent it with Jarrod's Mom and Dad...romantic right?!!! OK, so they were in town visiting us, and we decided to postpone our plans until the weekend. It was no biggie and it was a good time w/ his parents. We went to NPS and then subway for lunch...best part...we didn't spend one single penny. Oh wait, never mind we did buy a a couple of things at NPS, but only spent a few dollars. I got some ink pads for my stamps and i think a drink for Jarrod...haha!!! We are big spenders! OK, now that is out of the way onto what we did to celebrate our anniversary. In past years we usually stay the night at a really nice hotel in Park City or surrounding areas, but this year that didn't happen. We did make it up to Park City though; where we took a ghost tour of the town. It was pretty awesome and not spooky at all. We loved hearing the stories of all the ghost and where they reside. On the tour we heard stories of love, murder, and even some history. Like did you know that Park City once had a China Town? It is now the China Bridge Parking Garage. The tour was a walking tour, so we got a lil exercise in as well and the weather was perfect, although you did need a light jacket. The guide was a great storyteller and I would recommend this tour to everyone. Before we headed up to Park City, we stopped and got some sushi for dinner...yum!!! Another year down forever to go!!! We can't wait to see what the future is to bring.
Wasting some time before the tour. The restrooms that are behind us are super nice...haha!!!

By the look of Jarrod's face he was done taking pictures. I could take a million pictures .

Our wonderful tour guide. He really got into his storytelling!!!

This is where China Town used to be. It is now the China Bridge Parking garage.

There is a free trolley that goes up and down main street.

This is haunted by a ghost who doesn't like arguments

This was a school house and a lil' boy named Hugh haunts this place. He didn't die at the school, but it is the only place he felt safe, so that is where he resides.

Another lady ghost haunts the Imperial Hotel

The oldest non-Mormon church in Utah

Random moose that i had to have a picture by...hahah!!!

Until next time...ENJOY!!!

Seattle

Jarrod and I just returned from a whirlwind of a road trip to Seattle. We are so happy to be back and out of the car. It was a fantastic time and so happy we went. I have some things to get done today before I head back to work tomorrow, but I will post more of our trip later. I will leave a lil' sneak peek  of what we did.

Until next time...ENJOY!!!

At Snoqualmie Falls in Washington State! It was beautiful!!!
