Fun Thanksgiving Weekend

It has been a great Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Jarrod and I indulged in 4 Thanksgiving dinners and now I need to recover. We had dinner at w/ Jarrod's family, my family, and then leftovers the next day w/ my family again, and then yesterday afternoon we went to my Uncle's for an extended family Thanksgiving dinner. It was great to see all of our family. Jarrod and I made sweet potato casserole and pecan pie, which I think were both a hit with both sides of the family. Last night Jarrod and I went to see some lights that were supposed to be spectacular and they turned out to be super LAME and a waste. We decided to head to Temple square to see the lights and get hot cocoa. We then came home and watched Mormon Tabernacle Choir and David Archuleta Christmas performance from last year. It was a great ending to our date night. This weekend has been super exhausting for me, but overall it was fantastic.

Until next time...ENJOY!!!

 So pretty!

Not the best pic of us, but I am glad someone offered to take out picture, so we can both be in it.
The nativity scenes from around the world are my favorite part of the lights. This particular one is from New Zealand. There is a kiwi, but I am sitting in front of it.

OMG...so delish!!!

Ok, so I got ambitious and tried my luck at making a pecan pie. i saw them do it on Daily Dish and it looked easy enough. Well we bought all the ingredients that we needed and then I got to work. Oh ya, pecans are not cheap...bummer!!! Well the pie looked delish and it even tasted better than it looked. So enjoy the pic of my pie and if you are in our family and having Thanksgiving with us, then you will get a chance to sample it.

I know that this was really really good, cuz Jarrod ate it in like 5 secs and he doesn't eat anything quickly.
