Oh Christmas Tree!!!

"I guess you were right, Linus. I shouldn't have picked this little tree. Everything I do turns into a disaster. I guess I really don't know what Christmas is all about."

This is our Christmas tree this year. We love it and think it is perfect. We have a much bigger tree that we could have put up and decorated but,  I think having a smaller tree, really helps us remember what the real meaning of Christmas is all about.  Everytime Jarrod and I head upstairs, we pass the lil' Charlie Brown tree and just smile.

Until next time...ENJOY!

Dinner anyone?

I just wanted to share what Jarrod and I had for dinner tonight.

We had filet mignon w/ sauteed onions and mushrooms and peas and potatoes. We were going to have roasted aspargus sprinkled w/ parmesan cheese, but the asparagus had gone bad...to bad. Oh well the dinner was delish and Jarr loved it all. For dessert I made strawberry mousse...oh ya!!!

Until next time...ENJOY!!!

A super fun date!

So I took a much needed break from work and from everyday stress and relaxed and had a lot of fun doing it. I don't think I took any phone calls, texts, or e-mails. I was being selfish and just took time for myself and really only thought of myself. OK, so maybe I didn't do that for all 4 days I had off, but I certainly toned it down a bit. I had a wonderful time and got to spend most of it doing what I like to do best, spending time with my hubby Jarrod. We pretty much went on a 4 day date and it was wonderful. I have a bunch of pics, so I will let them do most of the talking. Friday, we took my sister Brittany out to dinner for her birthday, check out my post on that. Saturday we went to Festival of Trees. It was so cool to see all the decorations and trees. People are so creative. We heard a few stories about what/who the tree represented. All the proceeds went to benefit Primary Children's hospital in SLC. We then took the trax up to Gallivan Plaza and where we watched the ice skaters enjoy their time on the ice and we sipped on hot chocolate and chowed down some old fashioned donuts(my fave). Sunday, just relaxed and made filet mignon for dinner. See my post on that. It was delish and Jarr was impressed and so happy to have a home cooked meal. Monday-Jarrod had school, so while I waited for him took my younger brother Brenton grocery shopping and then off to pick Jarr up for his coumadin appt. After that we had lunch at Wallabys...smoked bbq, delish. We then headed off to the zoo to see the lights. We met AJ, Chelli, and the kiddos there. We had a blast and it is always fun when we get the chance to get to know each other better. Well lots more talking then I had planned, but oh well. Enjoy the pics, cuz i know i enjoyed the time off.

Until next time...ENJOY!!!

It doesn't look like it, but deep down I know Jarr had a great time at Festival of Trees!

Happy Birthday Brittany-Boo!!!

Friday Dec. 3rd was my lil' sister's birthday. Jarrod and I took her out to dinner at The Gecko, a mexican restaurant. We talked, sang songs, and ate, and drank chocolate milk. If you know or ever meet my lil' sister Brittany, you will know that she loves to do all that we did, especially chocolate milk. I don't think a sentence goes by without ending it with a mention of chocolate milk. Jarrod and I had a good time and we sure hope Brittany did as well. We love ya Brittany and Happy Birthday!!!

Until next time...ENJOY!!!
