Surfing

Almost there. Derek can sit up now and soon he will be able to stand up on a surfboard. We went surfing last Saturday and got a cute picture of him.

Happy 6 Months

We celebrated Derek's 6 month birthday with family, half a cupcake, gifts and his first experience with rice cereal.

Fly Fishing

Josh loves sports: baseball, football, Australian football, golf, diving, spearfishing, surfing, snowboarding, hunting, etc. However, right now he has been focusing on how to Fly Fish on Maui. Knitting Itch

I'm hooked! My mom bought me a kit. I’ve put down my Elementary books (because I graduated!!) and picked up some knitting books.
I've learned how to cast on (start), knit stitch, purl stitch, bind off (end), and fix mistakes. Here is a picture of my learning!
This website has amazing projects, patterns, etc. I just need a little more practice and learn more techniques and soon I would be able to start on some projects. If you know of any great books, stores, hints, yarn, whatever! I want to know all! Mahalo.

A Visit from Grandma

This is my mom. She came to visit us for 10 days at our new home. We had a lot of fun exploring Maui. We love you!!
Beach, beach, beach!
We had so much fun at the luau.
Haleakala at Sunrise...we woke up at 2:00am to see this. It was beautiful!
Relaxing, shopping, The Needle, Lavender Farm, swap meet, baseball game, etc.

Beach

We made it to the beach. It was Derek's first time. We had a lot of fun: a little tan, a little burned, sand in our face, but Derek never stopped smiling.
