Act III post

3 YEARS LATER ......

After Nora's sudden evasion from helmer 3 years earlier they both come to an ultimate stave. Both Helmer and Nora are living their own unperturbed lives. Then all of a sudden they pass each other while going to the near supermarket.

Helmer: hello Nora
Nora: [abruptly stopping with confusion] hello kind sir ? [not recognizing who it is]
Helmer: it's me Nora, Torvald
Helmer is changed and looks completely different now
Nora: [blundering her words] Torvald ? How is  everything ? Like how is life ? How are the children ?
Helmer: everything is good and well Nora, the children are fine but they do miss you
Nora: I shall come see them soon
Helmer: please do, after all children do need to see their own mother
Helmer: may I care you to a cup of tea ?
Nora: well I guess that's fine
The two talk while having their tea. They suppress all that's happened in the past and reunite as friends
Nora: it's getting pretty late, maybe I should get home
Helmer: it is, maybe you should
Nora: thank you very much for the tea
Nora: may I call you to set up a meeting with the children
Helmer: you're welcome and of course you can
Nora: have a nice life Torvald
Helmer: you as well Nora
They both part ways without any hassle or consult. Their lives shall be parted and without each other .

Act II analysis

Act II was a lot more interesting to me than Act I was. A lot more drama has occurred and it just makes me more engaged and entertained. Also, in Act II you see many character's personalities come out. After Nora's encounter with the one and only disreputable Krogstad. Nora shows her hysterical side after Krogstad sends an anonymous letter to Helmer about Nora's actions. In my opinion, I think Nora is a little too scared. I feel like if she would just tell Helmer it wouldn't be as bad as she thinks. Its not easy to hold things like that on your back. Especially in a relationship. Honestly, whatever comes Nora's way will be some sort of retribution.
Torvald still acts like the same old Torvald,  jauntily and always reproaching Nora. " Has my little squirrel been scampering off again," as Torvald would say. In this act, we start to see Mrs. Linde and how she acts. I think she acts like a true friend that she is, deciding to help Nora with her predicament. another character that we here from a lot more is Dr. Rank. After he tells Nora that he is dying and is in love with her, my perspective of him changes. Why would he do that ? He tells her that he's in love with her when he's about to die making it 10 times worse. In my opinion if he was in love with her, why didn't he tell her before. On top of that he tells her when she is in a big pickle. Hopefully Act III is more dramatic. However, the book has gotten better since Act I.

Act I Analysis

A Doll's House so far, is a very interesting play in my opinion. In the play we have been introduced to many characters. The main two characters in the play are Torvald or Helmer and Nora. These two are husband and wife but don't even act like it. Their relationship is extremely frivolous but loving at he same time. For example, "has my little feather brain been out squandering money ?" ( Ibsen 148). This quote is symbolizing how Helmer uses little kid nicknames talking to his wife. This is also showing how their relationship is childish.
Nora is a very stuck up woman who thinks she is ravishing and her spouse Helmer is very humble and hardworking. That is why he got his advancement  at the beginning of the play. Honestly, to be written in the year it was, it has a lot of now a day experiences which makes it entertaining and interesting. The way Ibsen uses Krogstad blackmailing Nora also makes the play interesting and entertaining. The way Nora acts with her children at the end of Act I makes me incredulously  think of how weak she is inside as a person. It also makes me think that she doesn't really chill with her children. Over all, I think the play is pretty good so far.
