Oh the Road, AGAIN!!??!?!?!
We're moving, again! Back to Rexburg we go to the Frozen Tundra. We'll be loading up the trailer later this evening and the computer will of course be the last thing to go, but incase you don't here from us for a day or two that's why. We're driving up to Rexburg tomorrow morning (Happy New Year!!!) and will hopefully be unloading things that afternoon (for any of you in the area we'd love the help.) Until we have the internet again... tootles.

Baby Shower!!!
Hi people who read our blog (i.e. firends, family and other people we love). I am using this post to let you know that my awesome friend Laura is throwing me a baby shower on January 16th and you are invited. It's going to be at my mother's house in Twin Falls and I'm working on addresses. If you believe that I don't have your address, or you want a more personal invitation (which I strongly believe in, the mail is just so much more personal over facebook or blogs) please let me know what your address is so I can make sure that you get an invite. Love ya all tons!!! ~JJ

Pregnant Jentri
Well, we went out the other day and figured that we had better start photographing this beautiful gift. Jentri is about 7 months along...... I think. Bad husband for not knowing? All I know is that our new friend will be coming to this earth around Valentines Day in 2010! We are so very excited for this new addition to our family. I am so very excited to take him camping, climbing, and on all of our wonderful adventures. Did I say he? Why yes I did, by the way, it's a boy. Anyways, here are some photos.

Questions???
Ok people, I have questions! And I want some answers!
Does anybody that reads this thing know anything about digital scrap booking? I'm looking at getting into it a little more and I'm needing some suggestions of where to start. Ideas?
Also, what on earth should I do about baby classes? Are they good? Are they lame? Do they help? I'm not exactly sure if I have time to fit them in but I'm willing to try, but I need some feed back.
Thank All!

Adventures in La Grande
So at the end of September Corey, his parents and I drove over to La Grande, Oregon to visit Great Aunt Donna and her husband Archie. We totally came for the Honey because Donna and Archie raise honey bees on their property and every year they harvest the honey and sell it. Ron, Corey's dad, had made a long standing deal with Donna that if he would come and visit her, she would give him some honey but he said he wouldn't come unless she had some work for him to do.
So off we went and I must say that the girls got the better end of the deal. The boys spent the day sheet rocking Donna and Archie's enclosed front porch while the girls got to spend the day helping Donna can stew and make raisins!
This was about the third time I've ever canned anything in my life and it was a blast. We went to the garden and "harvested" the onions, potatoes & carrots. We had celery & remaining veggies from the store. We chopped everything up, layered it in the jars and then pressure cooked them for 30 minutes. If you want the full recipe let me know and I'll post it, but didn't they turn out pretty.
Then after lunch we got to start working on raisins. Aunt Donna has about 4 different kinds of grapes growing in her back yard and we got to go out and pick the grapes from all of the vines and then we had to wash them.
After we rinsed them we had to pull all of them off of their vines and put them into a bowl so they could then head to the dryers. I must say that this was probably the worst part of the whole process but that's just because it was wet and I can't stand getting water all over everything, my forearms in particular.
Off to the dryer to spend the next few days becoming raisins!
Unfortunately we had to head home so I didn't get to see my finished product but I had a blast anyway and the honey that she sent home with us is AMAZING!!! Corey'd live off of it if I would let him, he has such a sweet tooth thanks to his momma. Until next time let the good times roll!!!

8 days in the Selway Wilderness.
I had the privilege of backpacking into some of God's best creation. We hiked through country few men have ever seen and I can honestly say that no man has been where we just were. I was blessed to have the company of my friend Craig, his dog Misty, and my nephew Jordan. This hike was the hardest of all the hikes I have ever been on, yet it was the most rewarding to accomplish. I am grateful that Jentri let me go, even though it left her at home without me. The hike was a great accomplishment both physically and spiritually. I am honored to have met the great young men I hiked along side. The following are a few of the photos I shot while up there.
This is the group I hiked with. We held a sacrament meeting in this spot on sunday. It was an amazing spiritual experience.
This is Heart Lake as seen from the summit before we drop down into it.
My nephew, Jordan, drinking from Heart Lake. Yes, the water is that clean up there. You can stand on shore and see 20-30 feet down into the lake!
Just before cresting into Golden Trout lake we found what we call the Zen Garden. I dropped my pack and sprawled out in the grass.
Here I am on the outlet of Heart Lake.
This was our fearless leader, Tom Hutchison. Without him there is no way that we could have even seen this beautiful country.
This our SWEET tent setup!
I found Craig this amazing boulder. This was his spiritual experience for the trip.
A few of the boys lashed a log barge together and went fishing early morning on Canyon Lake.
This was me, slacklining in our little Zen garden.
This is an area that I plan on returning to quite regularly. Sorry that the photos are in no particular order. I am still trying to figure out this whole blog thing.
For more photos of my trip visit my photo blog here.

Grateful
I have always wanted to take time to do this, but for some odd reason I could never make it happen. I just want to take time to say how grateful that I am for the life that I have. I have got an amazing woman beside me going through this grand adventure with enthusiasm. I have got a close group of amazing friends that add spice and flavor to life. I have been given passion and I feel passionate about a great and many things in this life that my Heavenly Father has given me. I live a life full of adventure and travel. I have a wonderful job that allows me the freedom to travel and play with my friends and my wonderful wife. My freedom to do the things I enjoy is crucial to my emotional health. It gives me time to ground and re-center myself. I am especially grateful for Jentri. For her support, love, and companionship. She has made me so much a better person. I am also so very grateful for all of the people that I have met in passing. Everyone of you have influenced me and my life in one way or another. Thank you for everything and for such a wonderful life thus far!

Graduation!
So, the long awaited day has finally come! Jentri graduated April 10th, 2009. She would be doing this post, but due to other projects she is sick of blogger, so I am the one you have to hear it from. We are all very proud and excited for her to finally be finished. She graduated with a respectable degree in Communications, with clusters in math and spanish. Her emphasis was in advertising. After graduation we fled town and headed to Boise, where we spent a much needed vacation hanging out with friends. Jentri is now seeking out a masters program that she can continue on with her learning. I am currently back on the path of sole searching careers and hunting for the right college for the both of us. Here are a few images of graduation. Thank you everyone for supporting Jentri in this journey. She has reached what she thought would be the end only to realize that it is only the beginning.

REI Garage Sales
These are possibly the coolest thing on the face of this earth. Yes, I am one of the crazies that sleep outside of REI awaiting my chance at returned "cheap" gear. This year I drove clear from Rexburg to the warmer city of Boise to partake of the goodness. I arrived late and slept better than I have since last fall. I love to sleep under the stars. We awoke at a ripe 6am for our tickets and headed out to breakfast. The sale opened up at 9, and all hell broke loose. People running this way and that, grabbing greedily at gear. I will not say as to weather or not I was one of those. REI didn't have much this time and I was not able to get what I came for, an Osprey pack. Rather I walked away with a pair of climbing and approach shoes and a box for Ellie May (our subaru). Spending under 100 dollars I drove away quite pleased with myself. Later that day I went bouldering with a few good friends.
Keep tuned in for photos of the new box and more importantly, Jentri's graduation! I am so proud of her for working so hard for so long. She deserves it. Good job honey, I love you!

Wedding Photography
Yes, I just dipped into the world of wedding photography. I "shadowed" my first wedding on the 14th of March. I had a lot of fun and learned so very much. The wedding was that of Kristi and Jacob. I wont even try to spell their last name. I am excited to pursue this field and am anxious to shoot another. To check out my work visit www.kingsphotos.blogspot.com

Social Networking
So, I have sat back and discovered that I officially am a social networking whore. This dawned on me when I caught myself sitting down at "my" i-mac in the office on campus; and upon opening firefox loging-in to hotmail, gmail, campus mail, facebook, blogger, twitter, pandora, seiclimbing, and the onion. Those are pretty much my default openings. The entire durration that I am sitting in front of "my" computer I continuously check-up and follow all of these things. In a sense I find this extremely sad, yet crucial.

Say it with me JIMMY JOHNS!!!
Corey and I were introduced to a great new restaurant the other night as we were heading home to Twin Falls, Jimmy Johns. I had heard their extremely funny radio ads for years and had never eaten there so in our moment of tired food deprivation Friday night we saw their store on our way out of town so we decided to stop by. Not knowing what so expect we were first welcomed by an odd neon sign saying "free smells". As we entered we were greeted by old fashion signs with the worlds most random sayings. There was Jimmy John's do and don't lists stating things like "Don't Taunt Vegetarians". The atmosphere was extremely fun, light hearted, and hilarious, exactly what we needed after an exhausting week of school. We happily ordered #12 after some help from one of the workers and then we got back on the road. We were pleasantly surprised by our sandwiches, which were HUGE!!! I almost think they're better than Subway or Quizno's. They're a little spendy but well worth it. So get out and enjoy!!
