3 weeks ago.. We finally went for our gown selection on the 19th of October! Been waiting for ages ever since we signed up a package with our Bridal Shop (BS) in early January 2015. I've never try on a gown before till that day :) Oh, actually this was my 2nd time. 1st time was at Cheryll's BS, we went there for our bridesmaids fitting and we went on to try a few gowns for fun. Haha! But the feeling is totally different. That time tried it for fun but this time cannot play play coz I'm picking the gowns for my pre-shoot & will be wearing it on our Actual Day! :)
Waking up feeling excited!
The fiancé kept telling me he couldn't wait to see me in a gown hahaha.. Also don't know true anot =p
Our appointment was scheduled at 1pm so we decided to have lunch nearby Tanjong Pagar. Had fish soup as we didn't want to feel too full during the fitting.
Samuel who was our consultant (also a fashion designer) was there to welcome us. We signed up with him during the BOW wedding fair early this year. Frankly speaking, I've no idea what to expect. I've pin down photos in Pinterest and save photos every now and then whenever I see something I like.
But when I was there, I totally forgotten to show him the designs that I've been eyeing on. I went blanked when he asked me if I have any preference and I said No! I only told him what I don't like. Every gown looks nice to me and I just don't know what kind of designs/cutting that suits me best.

One thing I noticed is that you don't browse through the aisles to look for the one like what I've always seen on TV. After speaking to your consultant of what you hope for then they will recommend dresses to you.
Samuel has already prepared quite a number of gowns for me to try on.
We've met him a couple of times and spoken to him so he knows what kind of style I like. I trust his judgement and brought me different gowns to try till I found the ONE.
Other than him, I've got Clare to help me with the changing of gowns. The gowns were all so fluffy & heavy, I couldn't do it alone! She take cares of our needs throughout the whole session. Very approachable & attentive young lady I must say!
First gown, they got me to try this.. I told Samuel I wanted a ballroom gown for my 1st March-in...

Literally, fiancé was blown away...
I love it! I was closed to picking this for my 1st march-in gown.
But reason I didn't chose this is because, I don't personally like ribbon back. I know most brides will prefer this as it is tight and can tie it until no shape also become got shape.
He kept smiling throughout hahaha..
The can-can was big enough!!
But first.... let me take a welfie!
A versatile piece which can be worn with a lace over. It became another kind of feel.
Back view.
I was given about 10 gowns to try until I finally made my final choice.
Totally spoilt for choices!! Every piece were unique on it's own. But I could only pick 4 gowns
2 for outdoors and another 2 for indoors. From these 4, I shall pick 2 for my Actual Day.I'm also toying around of renting another casual gown for my garden solemnization from another BS as my march-in gown will not be suitable for a garden ceremony (too big & grand looking).
I shall see how...
2nd piece I tried...
This was how it looked like from the back. I love the christ-crossed! But I feel that it's not "Bong" enough. Think Clare didn't give me the biggest can-can so it looked kinda "flat".
They got me to try this below. I don't really like it coz I felt like it looks like layers of cake haha! But still nice lah just that it's not my cup of tea.
Next.....
This piece I like it too! They told me this is their signature gown. Nice! Very elegance looking..
I'm seriously spoilt for choices. I should have my wedding on separated days so I get to wear more gowns hahahahaha.. jkjk

This one too simple for my liking. But I like the pastel colour.
Throughout the whole process, I've been changing in and out all the time. Each time when I came out from the dressing room, Clare will 'set' my gown nicely, absorb my comments and began looking thru the catalogue and bringing me more gowns to try!
This one is nice too.. Jialat.. how to choose you tell me?!
This one also very nice.. Fiancé like the colour of it. Suitable for the evening coz it feels grand. It has a long train..
But since I've already decided on a ballroom gown for my 1st March-in, I prefer to wear something different in terms of shape/cutting for the night gown. So this will be out :(
Contemplating real hard whether to get this or the one that I've settled though.
One minus point from choosing this is that, I'm quite petite and felt like the back is too "bandage" up. I felt like I was "drained" by the gown haha!
We were brought to the 3rd Level where more gowns were there and also men suits!
One of the piece I tried was this.. Nice right!?
Very oriental feel.. Can wear this during my solemnization.
Look a bit like mermaid gown but it's not.
Eh ignore my face hahaha..
Quite like this too.. because of the long train.....
This one for 1st March in also feels very grand coz of the soft feel..
But the one that I've settled is even more fluffy and "bong"! Wins my heart
The moment Fiancé saw me in it, he straight away told me to decide haha!

I love the colour!! Look very royal kind hor? Hahaha but too classic for my liking..
Clare brought out another red piece for me. Don't seems to suit my body shape.
HAHAHAHA!!!
She wanted me to try diff varieties which of coz I don't mind. But this is a NO NO

I don't suit this as well..
After so long, I've finally decided on my Actual day gowns!
Next, level 2 to pick for outdoors.
Next, level 2 to pick for outdoors.
By then, I was kinda tired after trying a few gowns... Haha!
I quite like this. They called it "The Curtain Gown".. But Bee thinks it's ugly hahaha!
All the above wasn't the one I choice btw.. It will only be revealed on the Actual Day
Definitely 10x more stunning!!
I'm so happy with my choices. Got approval from Bee as well.. We've also shortlisted a few locations for the outdoor shoot. Will be going down again for the final fitting before the pre-shoot. 3 more weeks!!
No regret signing up with my BS :) Their collections are getting better each time. Really love the album concept as well. The studio so nice too!!

Fast forward........................... 8th November 2015
Yesterday, we went for our 2nd Gown fitting before our Pre-shoot on this coming Thursday (12 Nov) :)
Met our Photographer, Samuel (IKR! same name as our consultant haha!) to discuss about the concept we want and things to bring on that day.. Just pray hard for good weather..
**keeping fingers crossed**
Recently, Bee & I had been running wedding errand. He got a white shirt and black pant for the pre-shoot. I went to do my nails at snspa. This was my 2nd time paying manicurist to do my nails! The 1st time was many years back. I couldn't bear to spend such expenses just to get people to paint my nails whereby I can (decently) paint it myself . But this time, exclusive lah. As I wanted the best for my pre-shoot.
Requested for something really simple. French gel manicure & 1 tone classic pedicure.
