Merry Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

This Christmas is extra special because of CLM!  I can't believe he'd be 11 months in a few days.  Oh, where did the time go?  CLM's first Christmas means lots of love from family and friends.  Which also means my entire living room floor is covered with gifts for him.  Yep, I can't wait to clean up, lol.

The last month has been really hectic.  Actually, super hectic would be an understatement.  It all started when 文生 caught a cold which he spread to CLM.  In turn, got mom sick and then inevitably, I got sick too.  That damn cold stuck to CLM for 3 weeks!  The first week was pretty brutal with CLM waking up every 1-2 hours because he was so congested.  Then he started sneezing, coughing, and just when we thought we were done being sick, he threw up five times!!  Poor guy!  Luckily he didn't have a fever so we just had to let the virus ride out its course.  Boy, it took waaaay too long.

Development wise, CLM's been taking many steps!  He is now quite a fast crawler although he still doesn't like crawling.  He's definitely a careful cruiser but loves to "run" when we're holding his hands.  He won't sit still for very long anymore as he's always wanting to get on the floor to walk!

I finally finished week 49 and 50 of P365 tonight.  I was so tired today after battling a mall of frenzied last minute shoppers and a long tedious wait at the passport office, running on just 3 hours of sleep, that I took a nap before dinner.  Of course that meant I'd not feel tired to sleep at my usual bedtime so here I am blogging.  Might as well get something accomplished, lol.

Photobucket
Being sick sucks... and for three weeks!  Poor Curtasee!

Photobucket
Finally a decent presentable photo of 文生 and I at the Greenpark Christmas Gala.
I love the odd excuse to get dolled up!

I really should head to bed since it's present unwrapping time in just a few hours!  Although I've already "unwrapped" my present from Ray: my new Galaxy Note 2 (aka new toy!).  More on Christmas presents, oyster party under freezing rain, and other miscellaneous things in another post.

Night!

December Equals...

December = busy
December = lazy
so does that mean busy = lazy?

Sort of and kind of.  Every December I look back and ask myself, where did the year go?  It's the time of the year when there are a bajillion parties to prepare and attend, lots of gift and wine wrapping going on at the office, mounds of panettone to be eaten, tons of food to be indulged in and dozens of oysters to be shucked!  Therefore, busy.

That being said, I've sort of fallen behind in completing my two recent P365 layouts.  All the photos are taken and 95% scrapped, BUT I have a few finishing touches to add to them which means they're obviously not done.  I still have to Christmas shop for CLM, 文生, mom and a few others.  I'll probably end up not getting anything :(  Therefore, lazy.

There you have it, busy = lazy.  At least in my books.  Haha.

Okay, I REALLY Jinxed It

Okay, so I really did jinx it.  My dear CLM woke up every hour the last two nights, rendering this poor mammie a walking zombie.  I'm pretty sure it's because he's congested although he sounds fine during the day!  I think poor CLM caught a cold from 文生.  Who happen to have gotten a flu shot... go figure!  I better not get sick again...

Photobucket
Yet another CLM dominated page!  I gotta get out more, LOL~!

On Saturday, I took Curtasee shopping at Fairview Mall.  OMG, I remember why I can't stand shopping on weekends, let alone in the month of December!  People are so pushy and rude!  I shake my head every year thinking why people bother with Christmas shopping, when they forget the real reason behind Christmas.  Sigh.  I contemplated taking Curtasee to see Santa, but decided against it because I know he's going to start squirming and then crying, lol.

I have a feeling December is just going to fly right by and before I know it, I would have completed my first ever Project 365, survived my first year as a mammie and Curtasee will be one.  Oh Em Gee...

Aaaannnnddd....I Jinxed It

Of course when I said, "I hope I don't jinx it" meant I'd only jinx it.  Sigh... Wednesday night CLM woke up at 3am (on the dot) and didn't go back to sleep until 5am (on the dot)!!  Wide awake.  Crying.  Won't sleep.  Now what did I do wrong except JINX IT?!?!  Then last night he woke up every two hours.  On the dot.  It's like clockwork.  I can't believe how accurate his biological clock is.  I think he might be a bit congested so I'll just blame his night-waking last night on congestion.  Yes.  But no... I think I jinxed that too!  I was just saying the other day that it's great CLM hasn't been sick.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO..................

Happy Ten Months!

Curtasee is ten months today!  Wow, time flies!  and for once, I didn't get an earful from the pediatrician about his poor sleeping habits.  Yay!  My dear CLM now weighs 20lb 10oz, currently between the 25th and 50th percentiles, meaning his weight gain was a little better (but still room for improvement, lol) since his last appointment 2 months ago. His sleeping habits have gotten a little bit better as he slept for 3 nights in a row until 6am!  Mind you, bedtime got delayed until midnight but still, sleeping through is sleeping through.  Yay!  Last night, CLM only stirred a bit at about 1am but slept right until 7am!  I sure hope I'm not jinxing it!

This week, CLM learned how to make funny faces.  He's sooo cute when he scrunches up his face and squeeze his eyes shut.  I wanna *meet meet meet* him!

Photobucket
* Pinch pinch *

I think last week we had the final few days of nice weather.  It was warm, sunny and just beautiful!  I took CLM to visit my boyfriend Angelo at the Shiu Pong site at Yonge and Finch.  I miss him!  It's been so long since we last saw each other.  He was so surprised to see CLM.  LOL~!

Better Late Than Never!

Busy busy!  I was so swamped in the last two weeks that I was falling a bit behind with posting my P365 pics.  Just posting.  Haha, I did get them done!  Really!

CLM's sleep has regulated a bit this week.  The week before was brutal!  Mind you, regulated means back to two wakings a night.  Trust me, I'm thankful already, LOL~!  The drooling has subsided a teeny tiny bit so I guess the teething has slowed down somewhat as well.  He's been pretty "talkative" lately and has started jabbering on and on sometimes, so cute!  Every morning now, first thing, he cracks the biggest smile at me.  Aaaaahhhhhh, my heart melts every time!  Even with my eyes half closed!  Did I ever mention that I love him to bits and bits and bits???  文生 is finally not a "stranger" to CLM anymore as he's finally comfortable being around him and not bawling for mammie.  Such a sweetie pie, that CLM.

Mike has given us some truffle oil and I've finally found time (and efforts) to make some pasta to drizzle some on.  Sooooo yummy......

Photobucket
Check out that sweet smile from Curtasee!  Totally made my day! and the next day, and the day after ...

Photobucket
Chestnuts, avocado pits, tissue, grapes, empty boxes, vitamin bottles, rubber ducky (aka gaep gaep) - the list of CLM distractions goes on ...

I received the Greenpark Christmas Gala invitation last week which means the end of the year is near!  Geez, I still can't believe how quickly the year flew by.  CLM will be ten months in 10 days... already!  Only six more weeks to the new year (and a successful year for P365).  I wonder if I'm going to keep up with it next year?

Blow Me Away!

An entire week of wet and rainy weather certainly did a number on my mood.  Was feeling so lazy and didn't want to do anything productive!  Finally got some decent sunshine on Friday and it was perfect timing too because my favourite Starbucks holiday drink is back!  Here's to the beginning of a season of warm, satisfying gingerbread lattes... mmm... in love.

Photobucket
One of my favourite P365 pages.  Really happy with how it turned out.
CLM finally attempts to crawl... after Halloween chocolates, aiya~

Still no teeth yet for CLM (not complaining, lol) but the drooling is still on full blast.  Poor guy has a rash on his chin from the constant wetness meaning constant facials for him (aka slapping on cream)!  The last two nights were particularly painful (for both him and me) with the hourly, smack-on-the-hour wakings.  Hopefully tonight will be better.

CLM spent his first Halloween... at home.  LOL.  It was cold and raining out so we didn't want to risk him getting sick.  Who said you can't trick or treat at home?  Keke.  Good thing too, because by golly, I think he finally attempted to crawl... toward candy hahahahahaha~!

Feeling Bleh!

A full week of nasty cold, wet, windy, rainy weather (due to hurricane Sandy from our southern neighbours) and a quite clingy CLM had me feeling so bleh that I didn't feel like finishing my P365 post.  Not to mention last week was pretty uneventful.

Photobucket
An uneventful week!

Finally got my sushi fix though.  Yay.

So sleepy.  So cold.  So bleh.

Sushi-less

Those who know me well know I'm a crazy sushi fan.  I'm very particular with my fish and won't just go anywhere to satisfy my cravings.  Somehow I've been pretty unlucky lately that whenever I feel like having my sashimi fix from Taro's that it's ALWAYS CLOSED.  Meaning, I've only thought of having sushi on Sundays and Mondays when they happen to be closed.  So on Saturday, I thought I was ahead of the game and yet nope, they're closed for the week.  Just my luck.  No sushi for me!  :(  The cheapie Korean-owned sashimi platter from last Sunday obviously didn't do anything for me... sigh.  Instead, plastered on the door of the pitch-dark Taro's was a poster advertising 和食祭り on November 12.  OMG, I soooo wanna go!  $150 a head though, but so tempting nonetheless.

Photobucket
Week 42 is on time baby!

Last week CLM had another three nights worth of constant wakings (what's new?), a couple of days of super fussiness and then two days of being an absolute angel.  Every day is a new surprise with him, LOL.  Today, he's discovered that if he kept banging his back against the back of the highchair that he can move it across the floor.  I don't have a single clue how he figured that one out but he did.  I wonder if he can magically "figure out" that he could sleep through the night?

Someone's Got a New Do!

CLM got his first haircut today!  I've been putting off giving him his much needed haircut because I wanted to make sure I could properly document it as well as save his little strands.  I'm glad Mom did the honour of giving him his new do because I don't think I would have done a better job, haha.  Took her all of five minutes.  Maybe even less.  Even with CLM flailing his arms and tossing the combs.  What a pro.  =)

Finally!  No more bangs poking Curtasee's eyes!  I'm such a horrible mom, lol.

CLM's been really clingy in the past couple of weeks.  It's gotten to a point where I can't even turn away to grab a drink of water without him wailing for attention.  Not to mention the last few nights of hourly wakings... aiya... one step forward, three steps back.  Sigh.

Best Mom in the WORLD!

LOL, not me of course!

MY mom has got to be the BEST IN THE WORLD!  Truly the BEST.  Last night MarMar decided to take CLM into her room for the night so I can get some real rest.  I slept a full eight hours for the first time in 8.5 months!  It was great! Poor mom though.  CLM woke up at midnight and stayed up fussing until 4am!  When he finally fell asleep again, he was up every hour.  OMG.  My poor MarMar...

I LOVE YOU MARMAR!!!  I can't stress this enough, 您是最好的, 您知道嗎?

Caught Up! Phew!

Inspiration just comes and goes, that's for sure!  I truly fell behind with P365 last week because I couldn't get the layouts for week 39 or 40 to look half decent.  The lack of sleep of course doesn't help things at all because whenever I open up Photoshop, I'd feel like clicking the damn "x" and just closing it again.  LOL.  Last night I realized that week 41 has past so I sacrificed 2 hours of much needed sleep to finish the two layouts.  Surprisingly enough, I managed to scrap week 41 to my liking really quickly and finished week 40 as well.

Last week was pretty uneventful, except for making my first ever Edible Arrangements inspired fruit basket.  Danny's birthday fell on Thanksgiving this year so I spent an hour before bedtime cutting up the fruits and trying to make it presentable to bring to the office the next day.  Not too shabby even if I say so myself!  Now I understand why EA charges an arm and a leg for their baskets.  It's a lot of fruit and work!  Especially after planning and executing a last minute evening of hot potting at 公公's.

Photobucket
At the sacrifice of two hours of much needed beauty sleep, I'm caught up!

Photobucket
This layout took waaaaaaaaay too long to finish

The week before was Mid Autumn and this year mom decided we'd stay at home to eat.  We switched things around and made turkey!  Ya, turkey for Mid Autumn, exactly one week before Thanksgiving.  All thanks to an inherited (and defrosted) gobble gobble from 葉太.  My first time making turkey and stuffing too!  It turned out pretty good, to my surprise.

The co-chef
The bird.  Yes, I know it's upside down, stop laughing.
On another note, construction's been going smoothly at the office until Carlo decided, well, he didn't like the colour scheme.  So... we're renovating again.  Yep, already!  The floors are coming out, the walls repainted again and things redone.  Just when we thought we're seeing the end.  Sigh.  Well, he's the one with all the money so whatever.  Meanwhile, I'm the small potato that was pretty happy winning a $10 gift card to Walmart from McDonald's Monopoly.  My first time winning any non-food item from that damn game.  The years and years of playing Monopoly... well, okay not really because I gave up on it many many years ago.  I guess I was just lucky!  HAHA~!

Okay, it's 11:15pm and I'm going to now rush off to bed.  CLM is sleeping in MarMar's room tonight so for once in 8.5 months (who's counting anyway?) maybe I can get 8 hours sleep.  OMG, I'm excited just thinking about it.

I'm off!!

Anti-Crawling

Finally!  I'm finally done week 39 of P365.  For over a week I've been putting off finishing the page because I didn't like how it was turning out.  Finally I sat down and really worked on it and thankfully, it was slowly starting to come together to my liking and now it's done!  CLM's lack of cooperation didn't help of course.  Most nights I take a look at the page, sigh, then go to sleep because I'm so exhausted.

Photobucket

CLM turned 8 months last week and of course, his pediatrician gave me an earful for him not sleeping the night.  Sigh, how do I let him cry when he pulls out his hair while he's at it?  Aiya... Apparently his weight gain slowed down a bit (CLM was 19lbs at the checkup) and I should keep trying to stuff him.  Like turkey.  LOL.  If only it was that easy.  I should tell him to try and stuff a live nosy turkey.  See what he says.  LOL.

Last Saturday, 文生 and I were trying to coach CLM to crawl (so far he's shown no interest whatsoever in crawling) so we put a cordless mouse on the bed just out of reach for him to get to.  After a few stretches, CLM figured out that if he pulled the bed sheet, the mouse would come to him.  All attempts at crawling just stopped right then and there.  Smart boy.  Honestly, we think he might just skip the crawling stage and head straight to walking.  Since he can stand unaided for all of 5 seconds now.  未學爬先學走.  Aiya.

An Apple a Day

Last week I saw on FB that a friend of mine took her kids apple picking.  I usually dismiss those "fall" type photos as I really don't want to remind myself that winter is just around the corner but the word Gala caught my eye.  I love Gala apples (and Fujis)!  Now I know for a fact that Mar Mar loves picking apples and we haven't gone in ages, so I suggested we go this weekend.  As I guessed, she was totally excited!  Especially since there is no admission fee (just the admission fee alone for nearby orchards for four of us would have been enough to purchase half a bushel of apples - and that's a lot of apples).  Only drawback is: the orchard is in Bowmanville.  Which I thought wasn't that far.  Well, it's not that far.  Only forty minutes east on the 401.  East of Oshawa.  Ooooops.  Haha~!  We went anyway!

The day started off really gloomy (and rainy) but good thing by the time we got there the rain had stopped.  The sun came out just as we were leaving so the weather was actually perfect for us!  A little muddy, but very comfortable.

My faves - Royal Galas

The rain on the apples just make them look THAT much fresher!

The farm was picking McIntosh, Cortland, Empire, Gala apples and just started the Red and Golden Delicious ones this week.  Mom and I aren't fans of tart apples, so we skipped the Macs, etc and went straight for the Goldens first, then the Galas and finally the Reds.  Unfortunately, the Galas were the only ones that were ripe enough to be really sweet and we found the Red Delicious' to be a little tasteless still.  Mom thinks they need a few more weeks on the tree.

We ended up with mostly Galas (I'm not complaining) and loaded up a whole bushel worth of apples.  All was fine and dandy until one of the bags broke and our perfectly fresh apples are now either brutally bruised or injured!  Noooooooooo!!!  We can't possibly eat so many at once!  Especially since we "sampled" close to a dozen and a half of them already while picking.

I had a feeling it would be a bad idea to bring the stroller for CLM so we brought the carrier.  It was great since CLM kept me warm for the most part.  But of course, since he was also warm and fuzzy, he slept through most of the apple picking.  Oh well, next year!

Photobucket
Crazy sleep patterns again this week.  Yup, broken record, I know.

It has really started getting cold this week.  I get up for my morning shower and have the "OMG it feels like winter" chills so I know it's time to pack away the summer clothes and bring out the sweaters and long sleeves.  文生's friend gave CLM a gift cert for Jacadi so we decided to use it since it was a whopping $100 one.  Little did we know that a freaking onesie costs $79!  I absolutely refuse to spend that kind of money for something that CLM will wear for only 2-3 months!  So we ended up getting a sleep sack...OMG we still had to pay $76 extra.  That place is so expensive... maybe we should have just given the gift cert to someone else...

Broken Record

By now I must sound like a broken record.  Sigh.  Tonight my dear CLM woke up at 2am, nursed for 20 minutes and here I am thinking he'd go right back to sleep... only to get under my ducky and hear him whimper and wake up again.  I go to him, pat him back to sleep, walk away, he's awake again. Did that like 3 times more and I finally said eff it.  Then he threw up on my bed!  Not much, but enough to warrant doing laundry at 3am.  Now it's 4:15am and he's still wide awake, sitting in my lap and watching me finger peck my way through this post.

I can't even wish for CLM to fall asleep on his own.  I'm told babies his age sleep through the night, blah blah blah, but all I want is for him to sleep his 12 hours!  Yes, he should be sleeping more like 15, but 12 is all I wish for!  Including naps!  That's how bad a sleeper CLM is.  Poor thing has dark circles forming under his eyes already.  I'm lost.  I really don't know what else to do to get him sleeping better.  I just keep telling myself this phase will pass... they grow up too quickly, so enjoy it now...

Did I forget to mention last night?  He was up every hour until after 4am, then was a good boy and gave me a little more than 2 hours before waking for the day at 7am.  So...here I am, running on fumes again and I gotta tackle a big Excel project in 6 hours.

Dear CLM, why don't you just sleep?

Office-less

I head to the office on Monday last week and after a short lunch hour meeting, I lost my office!  In the span of just a mere 10 minutes we've decided to make it into a "preview" sales office, take down walls, remake the kitchen, redo the flooring, replace the ceiling and lights, get new furniture... all to be done within 4 weeks.  Basically an Extreme Office Makeover that can be featured on HDTV, lol.  It's so noisy and dusty here!

CLM is still not sleeping as well as I like him to.  I think I've finally just accepted the fact that he's just like that.  No use to try and change it as it probably won't.  At least not with a lot of tears (mostly from me, lol).  I get a couple of weeks of decent sleep (average 3.5 hour wakings and yes, that is good sleep already) and then get struck with a few consecutive days of hourly wakings (like last night).  There is really no reason to get mad anymore, not worth it since the cycle resumes itself anyway.  Plus the poor dude can finally figure out if I'm mad or not.  Now I know to be careful because I can freak him out easily.  I love how I can giggle for no reason and he'll laugh with me though.  So sweet.  The other night he woke up at 4am and just stared at me and smiled (then giggled)... I freakin melted!!!  Despite being so sleep deprived, I couldn't help but hug him tightly and smile back.  Well, then he kept himself up until way after 5am...

Why does this boy not sleep?!?

Photobucket
Poor Mushu... so violated, LOL~!

On Thursday I finally received my long-awaited mbna rewards World Elite Mastercard.  I recently found this card to be the perfect supplement to my Smartcash card that gives me 3% cash back on gas and groceries which I've been using for a few years now.  The new card looks awesome, gives me 2% cash back (so now I can get 2% instead of 1% on everything else I buy besides gas/groceries), has no annual fee, all the perks of my other card, plus purchase protection and concierge service.  SWEET!  Not to mention I got $100 as a bonus just for getting the card.  I'm totally digging the look!  So prestigious looking, lol.

New Skills

Everyday, as CLM learns new things, I'm amazed at how these new "skills" are just magically discovered without anyone particularly teaching him.  Last week, just out of the blue, he started to "boo" 口水; lately he learned how to make high-pitched noises; over the weekend, we heard him say either 抱抱 or 婆婆 a few times; and today he kept babbling "baba".  Beebee, what happened to "mama"?

At the same time we've noticed that he has a strong fascination for fabric/clothes tags.  He's always reaching for them to "read", lol.  What's really funny is how he always wants to spin around when he's held, making it difficult for us to hold him since he's always wanting to do 360's.  As soon as we spin him around to face one way, he twists his body so it faces the other.  Rinse and then repeat.  LOL.

Photobucket
A week full of CLM!  The most CLM-dominated page ever...

As usual, CLM is extremely nosy and needs to be part of everything.  Which is good in a way because we know he's interested in the world and is eager to learn from it.

Thing Just Can't Get Any Worse

Or can it?

Here's night two again of every other hour waking, but tonight we have a twist!  Okay not really, an old habit if you may.  CLM woke up at 3:50am and refused to go back to sleep.  Hardly anything new.  So after two brutally tiring hours of trying to keep him entertained (ie not crying), he's finally dosing off.  I'm completely lost.  I thought things were going to get better.  Seven and a half months later, CLM's sleep habits have still not gotten anywhere.  He's had all of only 5 or 6 nights in which he slept longer than 4 hours and I've only benefitted from two of those nights.  Meaning I've slept no longer than 4 hours on any given night in the past 7.5 months (save and except those 2 nights).

It doesn't help at all when my back is killing me once again and all CLM wants to do is NOT sleep! Sigh.

I suppose things CAN get worse from here, with my luck he could start waking up every hour...

UPDATE: So it can...CLM woke up 10 minutes later, 6:10am, then "napped" until 6:40am, then up until 11am...

Summer's Over!

I can't believe it's September already.  I recall writing about how quickly the summer's flying by but as soon as CNE comes and goes, it signals the end of the summer.  Well, it's Labour Day already and it's back to school tomorrow for many.  Sigh.  Time, can't you just slow down a teeny bit?  I think keeping up with P365 make it seem like the weeks go by even faster since I'm constantly doing the layouts.

Photobucket
CLM looking kinda "inch" LOL~!

I was so upset my iPod fell out of my purse the other day and the screen shattered so I had to get it replaced.  Fifty five freaking dollars!  That, or pay $170 for a refurb replacement from Apple.  Of course I chose the former.  Sigh, 無啦啦破財.

Wait, I just remembered, I started blogging around the time of CNE which means.... my blog is four years old!!  Wah!

Another Allergy

Poor CLM!  Broke out in hives tonight after 3 baby spoonfuls of wheat cereal with mixed fruit.  Weird thing is, he's had an entire box of wheat cereal (the add milk kind) already so he is either allergic to the milk powder or the fruit that's in this box (the add water kind).  What's even weirder is that he's eaten the new box for a whole week already!  What da...

So I thought maybe it's the barley that he's allergic to since it's a new thing that we started him on this week but he was fine all day up to the mere seconds after eating the cereal.  The rash started around his mouth, then his face, spread to behind his ears, neck.  Then the hives kicked in on his back, legs, arms....OMG poor Curtasee!  I hate seeing him so miserable!  So far, it's been 3.5 hours and the hives are still visible on his arms and legs but the rash on his face is pretty much gone.

I still recall my own hives episodes *shudder so I know how nasty it is to have them.  I FEEL HORRIBLE!!  Good thing they don't seem to be bothering him very much so I haven't resorted to giving him Benedryl yet.  For sure if the hives aren't gone by morning that I'm grabbing the medicine dropper!!

Phew!

Phew!  Good thing that non-sleep phase was short lived!!  Six days of torture to look back upon.  Thank goodness for blogs, lol.  That doesn't mean CLM sleeps better than before though.  Just better than waking every hour and half that's all.  Still no teeth yet, still drooling like a running faucet and fingers are still the preferred teething mediums.  Mar Mar gave CLM a piece of 芥蘭 to hold on to tonight and he chewed a good inch off of it!

I'm glad CLM's food repertoire is slowly growing and definitely can't complain since he's pretty open to eating his solids.  His favourite (in my opinion) is still avocado and I think Japanese pumpkin follows quite closely behind!  It's so funny to see him chewing on nothing every time he sees us eat.  LOL~

CLM is sitting up quite well but still hasn't made any attempts to crawl yet.  Changing him is harder than ever since he's always fascinated with the diaper wipe box so he's always trying to roll over and reach for it.  We're teaching him how to high five and 請請 these days and while he can do it after a few prompts, he quickly forgets it.  He's learned how to splash water when taking a bath so now we can't bathe him on the kitchen counter anymore.  At least not unless we want to wipe the floors after, lol.

Photobucket

CLM's been to three weddings already!  Last week we went to our first ever weekday wedding, right smack in the middle of the week.  Food was good, company was better!

As August comes to an end, so is the summer...sigh.  Days are noticeably shorter and nights are definitely cooler.  Time just flies by so quickly!  Week 34 gone already so that means only 18 more weeks until the new year.  I'm so proud of myself for keeping up with P365!

Since it's now 2:30am....it's Curtasee's seven month birthday!  Happy seven months my dearest Cur Cur!!

I May As Well Not Sleep

I don't know why I bother going to bed.  Not that I can fall asleep easily anyway.  Not that it matters because as soon as I do, I'm up again.  Three nights of waking-up-and-playing-at-3am and not going back to sleep is followed by three nights of waking every 1.5 hours.

I may as well not sleep since no sleep is better than continuously disruptive naps.  Picture torture camps.  Dripping water on forehead.  Purely miserable.

Just miserable.

Sleepless... Again?!

冇得瞓.  講完.

Okay fine, elaborate: since Faye's bbq on Saturday, for 3 full nights, CLM woke up at 3am and refused to go back to sleep until ... God knows when because by 6am I've had it with him and threw him out to 文生.  Definitely played with my EQ (or lack of) that one!  No sleep for me = GROUCHY.

I have a feeling (or I'm hoping) this sudden fussiness and sleeplessness and lack of interest in nursing is due to teething since CLM's constantly drooling like an open faucet.  Poor dude's face is so scratched up already and he still pokes his eyes and rip his ears, pulls his hair when he's upset.  Silly llama.

What a busy week!

Last week was definitely a busy one as I had to run around town for errands on Sunday, downtown Tuesday and Wednesday for meetings/errands/seminars, Grandfather's birthday dinner on Thursday, then got sick, Sandra's farewell bbq at Faye's on Saturday, then sleepless CLM... sigh... a whirlwind of activity in a short week.  I didn't manage to finish the page until last night!  Hence I can't say I'm totally satisfied with how it turned out.  But at least it's done.  And still on track.

So in the blink of an eye, Sandra's back in HK.  What ever happened to the last four weeks?  Time is flying by a little too quickly for my liking.  And where did this week go?  It's Thursday tomorrow already... aiya!

Why Me?

I'm sick, tired, slept 1hr in a span of 48 hours, coughing out my lungs and CLM still won't sleep. 點解? Why me? He's been up since 3am, wanting to play again. Same as last night. I thought he grew out of it already?? I went as far as locking him in the washroom to cry it out himself but since he's so stubborn, I knew it wouldn't work. I feel miserable, my nose is dripping non stop, head is pounding and stomach is hurting from all the coughing. Definitely a FML kinda night.

Pink Panther 傻豹

A really gross but funny thing happened last week: CLM 爆屎渠 (again, ya, so what's new?) and then didn't make a single move to let on that he did.  文生 went to pick him up, still not realizing and then brought him over to me.  All of a sudden, 文生 goes "WHOA!!" and I looked up to see his arm and shirt all covered in CLM-jam.  O-M-G....at which point, I look at my own arm and I see a trail of yellow wetness happening.  In my quick efforts to grab CLM's hand and prevent him from licking/sucking his fingers, which he loves doing lately, he slapped his poo-filled palm on my FACE!  Right...next...to...my...mouth...

All we could do was laugh it off.  I'm so glad I was in a good mood that day, otherwise all that crap would have literally hit the fan.  LOL~!  After two baths for CLM, 文生 and I took turns cleaning ourselves up.  What a hilarious yet nasty experience.

CLM is full of 屎屎 stories.  Lately, for some odd and weird reason, he started having the need to 爆屎渠 (and I do mean it, it's a LOT and it's REALLY NASTY) at 4am.  Yup, four in the morning.  When he should be sleeping!  He'd wake up, fuss, get me confused since I have no idea why he'd be fussing, then quietly goes without letting me know!  Of course until it's too late and leakage happened already.  Sigh... A few nights ago, I got smart and paid attention to the little tiny hints despite being half asleep.  I noticed CLM's stomach poof up a little bit and so I reached over to his bum and felt the gentlest little tiny vibration.  As soon as he let it out, he immediately stopped crying, turned over onto my bed and fell asleep!  吹漲!  Being the good mother that I am, I HAD to change him even if it meant I'm going to risk waking him up.  Just when I thought the little vibration was something small... yep, he 爆屎渠'd.  So quiet, so civilized.  Definitely living up to his name.  Good Curtasee!  (Well, what else can I say??  LOL!)  Good as long as you don't pull another one of them Curtasee 屎手拍娘面...

Photobucket
This page was done on Sunday, just too lazy to post it!  Really!

Saturday was 八兔兄's cow one party and CLM had a chance to test ride Evan's high chair!  He liked it so much that we went out to get one for him the very next day.  Talk about spoiling him, lol.  Well, that or we'd have to hold him all the time since he had no where to sit anymore, hahaha~

Sometimes I do wonder where my mom comes up with such funny things to say to CLM.  I can truly see how happy she is and how much she's enjoying taking care of him.  So CLM is still not a very good napper and since he's so nosy all the time, it makes things worse because he's fighting himself to stay awake.  I literally LOL'd when my mom commented: 「都唔知點解佢咁眼瞓都唔瞓覺. 傻豹咁嘅眼都仲要死撐」.  She meant this:

So 貼切!

Highlights of Week 31

The highlights of week 31:  food and rain... seems like that was all it was last week.  Ate lots on my birthday, then Gootoe and 細V came over for some surfing and turfing on Friday, followed by Scarborough Ribfest yesterday.  CLM's first Ribfest and more to come!  Damn those onion flowers were $10!  I couldn't, just couldn't make myself buy one so looks like I'll end up making one sometime in the future.  This week, I had my eye on making a Japanese cheesecake.  Maybe I'll haul arse today and finally bake it.

Rain...well, it was a wet one.

I Never Thought I'd Say This

When no one else can calm CLM down, he stops crying and gives me the biggest hug as soon as I pick him up!!  I never thought I'd say this but IT FEELS SOOO GOOD!!!

Damn it feels good!

Partays 2012

Happy Birthday to me!!

Happy six months to Curtasee!!

Happy married life to Faye and Danny!!

What a whirlwind of events this weekend!  Well, at least for the last few days.  CLM turned six months on Saturday, which happened to be Faye's big day!  At her expense (hor hor hor), we threw Curtasee a big six-month birthday bash.  LOL, open bar and everything!  It was a super long day, since I went from Friday morning at 9am all the way until Saturday night (Sunday morning) after 1am without sleep!  So over 40 hours straight!  Well, for me it was really difficult, especially because I've been so sleep deprived for the last six months!  and I had to drive...it was bad (I dozed off numerous times driving home from the ceremony and almost rear-ended 文生).  Horrible!  I had a great time though.  Food was great, company was better.  So happy for Faye and Danny!  Better yet, Sandra came back to TO to attend the wedding!  I miss her so much!

LOL, the bride is MIA...
Family pic!
See?  Open bar!
Good thing Sunday was sleep catch up day...got a few hours in, whew!

Photobucket
Caught up still!!  Yatta!
Then today!  My birthday!  First, I had to take Curtasee to the pediatrician for his six month check up.  Weighed in at 17lbs 11ozs, back to 50th percentile.  Got jabbed twice and didn't even lift a brow.  Impressed the doctor BIG TIME!  I'm so proud!  Then Tinlop invited Cindy, Meishan and Karen up to my place for dinner.  OMG, too much food!  Kumamoto oysters, uni, cake, macarons, sushi, fruit trays... I feel loved!  Had some wine, great food, great company... can't ask for anything else!

Then I had a 細V moment
Poor Curtasee was so tired, LOL didn't get to sleep until close to midnight.  I should have gone to bed then, but decided to stay up and blog.  I know I'd regret it tomorrow... 3:30am...off to bed now!

Almost End of July La~!

It's almost the end of July (already!) and that means my dearest Curtasee is almost six months old!  Oh boy, time certainly flies!  The sleeping/napping situation is still not great though...

Photobucket
Oh, my Curtasee!  Love you to bits and bits and bits and bits!!!

I Know What I Want For My Birthday This Year!

Aaaahhhh, brings back high school memories!!!  The white one is soooooo sweet!!!

Avocado 好好味!

Curtasee's journey to solids is off to a pretty good start I suppose.  Just a week of spewing out his rice cereal, LOL, and we see progress!  Thanks to the second food we gave him: avocado!  He seems to like avocado quite a bit because his first serving was a good tablespoonful, all in his mouth and NOT his clothes!  This mammie is so impressed!  Coupling his rice cereal with avocado seems to work rather well too so he's eating more and more of the cereal and less and less end up on his clothes.  Tee hee!  Next up: sweet potato!  Let's hope I don't jinx it!

Sleep deprived Curtasee is so grouchy =(

Now if only I can get Curtasee to sleep...

Curtasee, 點解你唔瞓呢?

I thought what all babies did were eat, poop and sleep.  Not my CLM!  He eats, he poops (boy, he poops) but he does NOT sleep.  See, I don't mind waking up several times a night to feed IF he goes back to sleep.  What he does now is wake up for a feed and then stays up.  Sometimes it takes me two hours to get him back to sleep, only to have him wake up an hour later.  我就嚟癲啦!  For the last few days, I've noticed that he no longer falls asleep in the car, stroller, bouncy chair (though he rarely fell asleep in it), not with a pacifier (again, he rarely did anyway), not when rocked, and get this: sometimes not even when nursed.  O.M.G.  Hell breaks loose now.  I can't even feed the bad habit :( not even if I wanted to.  What have I done?!?

So that's nighttime.  Now daytime naps are another story.  In the last few days, CLM napped a maximum of 2 hours.  All day!  and when I say maximum, I mean maximum.  Like, at most.  Today, he napped for no more than an hour.  Ten minutes in the morning, forty minutes in the afternoon and ten minutes in the early evening.  So much for 5-month-olds needing 3 naps totaling 4-5 hours and 9-11 hours at night.  I'd be lucky if he sleeps 6 hours in an entire day.

With efforts to put poor sleep-deprived CLM on a better sleep/nap schedule, I've started a consistent bedtime routine this week.  Although I know I won't see immediate results, I didn't expect things to go downhill!  In attempts to get him in bed by 8:30pm, I start his bedtime routine roughly around 7:30pm.  First with a bath, then story, some songs, then nursing.  This boy just will not sleep!  He starts off all nice and relaxed, happy, giggly then all of a sudden, hell breaks loose and he starts wailing.  I can't keep him in his crib, my bed, anywhere!  Of course, I then give in and let him play (happily) until he starts crying again at around 10:30pm before I nurse him again, to sleep.  So people say, just try to put him down earlier, before he gets too tired and overstimulated.  Sigh...yes, I know...blah blah blah...easier said than done.

Contrary to freaking older generation beliefs, keeping babies up during the day DOES NOT lead to better sleep at night.  SO!  Since CLM napped for all of an hour today, slept crappily last night, had crappy naps the day before, I can pretty much predict that shit will hit the fan tonight.

Now, do I hear a little bitterness you ask?  You betcha.  I'm running on fumes, my poor CLM is not getting enough sleep and then I have people harping down my back telling me what I should be feeding my son?!? and this time it's water.  Like really?  Why not milk?  Because milk's 88% water anyway and that's not good enough?!?  What's so magical about water that you have to insist I give it despite me telling you over and over again it's not necessary?  Is there a nice way to um, say...FACK OFF?!?

Now I need some wine...

Chrysanthemum Tea Jelly 杞子桂圓菊花茶凍

I made chrysanthemum tea jelly the other day.  It was a perfect solution for the hot weather this week.  Really refreshing!  Not to mention 清熱、解毒、明目.

Chrysanthemum Tea Jelly
杞子桂圓菊花茶凍

5 cups brewed chrysanthemum tea
4 tsp unflavoured gelatin
90g rock sugar (冰糖)
small handful of dried longan (桂圓)
small handful of goji berries (杞子)

1. Grab a handful of dried white chrysanthemums (杭菊) and add 5 cups of boiling water.  Cover and let steep.
2. Strain tea. (to cheat, just buy some 菊花茶, then you can omit the rock sugar).  Set aside two cups of tea, divided.
3. Rinse longan and goji berries and let soak in one cup of the tea.  Set aside, reserving liquids.
4. Sprinkle gelatin over the other cup and let sit to soften, about 5 minutes.
5. Over medium heat, dissolve rock sugar in remaining 3 cups of tea.  Stir in gelatin/tea mixture and mix until gelatin is completely dissolved.  Add longan, goji berries (and the liquids).
6. Pour cooled mixture evenly into glasses and chill in refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.

Easy peasy and very yummy!

Not Much Luck

Lately, CLM has been munching on his fingers, fist, or rather, anything he can get his mouth into and drooling uncontrollably.  I'm guessing he's starting to teethe, which explains his crazy lack of a decent sleep schedule.  Unfortunately for me, he went from waking up once per night to feed to an average of three times (every 2-2.5 hours) and THEN he refuses to go back to sleep!  On a good night, he'd stay awake, wanting to play for two hours and on a bad one like last night, he cries on and off for at least two hours before falling asleep...at like 6am... like O.M.G.  Not talking, not making eye contact, keeping lights off, etc. obviously does not deter him...sigh.  So for the last few nights, I've had all of 1.5 - 3hours of sleep.  Crazy!  Not to mention he takes his sweet time nursing too!  From 20 minutes before to at least 45 minutes now.  It's like he's a newborn all over again.  Worst thing is, I'm so awake by the time he finally falls asleep that I can't go back to sleep myself and as soon as I do, he's awake again :(  I wonder if this is what people call the four month sleep regression (that lasts until when?).

Besides not sleeping, CLM now does the following things (aka developmental milestones):
  • Drools a LOT
  • Chews on Sophie, his fingers, his fist, my fingers
  • Still pulls his hair and ears when he's fussy and upset
  • Reaches for his feet and occasionally sucks on his toes if he can get at them
  • Rolls from side to side when we change him (making it quite the challenge)
  • Still doesn't know to fall asleep by himself
  • Pinches me in all the places that hurt, like the underside of my arm - ouch!
  • Sticks out his pointy tongue and keeps it out, lol
  • Sits up by himself for a little bit before falling head first forward, haha
  • Starts to recognize people but will still allow himself to be carried by "strangers"
  • Super nosy, especially during feeds.  Turns to look at everything.  I can't tell if he's more efficient at eating or if he's just so nosy that he shortens his feed time.  I guess since he's generally quite a happy camper after his feeds that he's probably just efficient.  I hope.
  • Kicks his feet when he's lying down
  • Loves to stand
  • Can keep himself occupied with certain stimuli until he gets "bored"
  • Did I mention he's super nosy and drools a lot?

Pointy, just like daddy's

Solids
After poor CLM's oatmeal allergy the week before, we let him rest up a bit before starting him again on rice cereal.  Although he shows interest in our food (he keeps drooling and smacking his lips when he sees us eat) he definitely doesn't seem too interested in rice cereal!
  • Day 1, July 3 - barely ate a few spoonfuls.  By 6pm, projectile vomited not twice but three times :(
  • Day 2, July 4 - spat out more than he took in (diluted with his saliva)
  • Day 3, July 5 - cried every time the spoon came within 2cm proximity to his mouth.  All smiles once spoon is taken away.  He probably ate 1 teaspoon worth
  • Day 4-6, July 6-8 - clamped his mouth shut most of the time, but with someone holding his arms down and me being persistent, probably got a few more baby spoonfuls into his mouth (文生's mom blames it on CLM not being hungry enough - darn, doesn't this sound familiar?)  I swear, if one more person questions whether I have enough milk to feed CLM or even remotely suggests that I supplement with formula/solids, I am going to lose it.

Yeah, take that!

I have this weird feeling tonight's going to be another loooong one.  This post took three hours to write and CLM woke up four times already... I should really head to bed.

Photobucket
Week 27!  Still on track!

On the other hand, I've finally decided to retire CLM's 3-6M clothes as it's been a while since he's been snugly fitting in them.  Babies really do grow fast!

Twenty Twelve is Half Gone

This is it!  Week 26 is officially done.  Meaning 2012 is half over.  Where did the time go?  Good news is I'm still caught up with P365 despite lacking interesting photos to scrap (then again, CLM is interesting enough to dominate my pages).  On the contrary, my HK October 2011 is still stuck on day 2 :( poo.  Gotta get on it!

Photobucket
Yet another CLM dominated page.  Life as a mom is not too interesting for me is it?

So a heat wave hit us this week, bringing us HK-like summer temperatures.  Other than trying to stay cool, I pretty much had another uneventful week.  Wait, there was poor Curtasee's hospital visit and Sofia's BBQ yesterday.  Okay fine, not too uneventful.  LOL~

Yes, I'm still very Starbucks-hooked.  For the record, I just O-嘴'd at the fact that there are people who buy Starbucks gift cards (no monetary value on it) on ebay.  Four bucks a piece, plus shipping.  O-M-G.  Now I know why my local sbux ran out of the limited edition Canada Day gift cards so easily.  Maybe I should give this a shot and try and sell a few myself ;)  Sheesh.

Oh, and Happy Birthday Canada!

Poor Curtasee!

What a way to kick start CLM's five month birthday: at York Central Hospital Emergency!  Poor Curtasee had an allergic reaction to the mere 3 teaspoons of oatmeal and turned into a bright red beet!  He looked so miserable and I felt so sorry for him since he was so itchy he couldn't stop scratching his face.  Not to mention he kept waking up every hour because he was so uncomfortable.  We got to the hospital around midnight and didn't leave until 2:30am.  Good thing it wasn't serious and a single dose of Benedryl did the job.

Finally fell asleep from exhaustion at 1:09am at York Central
All better today!  Happy five months bebe!
Looks like no oatmeal for Curtasee for a while!!

Still Sleepless, So What's New?

Summer is officially here!  I like summer :D

So Mar Mar comes home from her cruise and I'm uber happy!  I can sleep again!  Honestly, CLM's roller coaster sleep habits (still) really gets to me.  Last night, he was wide WIDE awake after his 1am feed and didn't want to sleep until after 2am!  Now the doctor recommended that 文生 sleep in another room since CLM's wakings are negatively affecting his own sleep cycles and thereby jeopardizing his work but unfortunately, that's not an option.  As mom went home for the weekend and CLM wouldn't sleep, I decided to go into mom's room so 文生 could get some undisturbed sleep.  Which meant I HAD NO SLEEP LAST NIGHT.  CLM refused to sleep in the play yard so I had to bring him into bed with me.  This was the first time co-sleeping and with all my previous nightmares of suffocating him (and my fear of squishing him), I dared not sleep.  And so I didn't.  What a fml kinda night, sigh...

With mom away, it meant boring, simple meals (or takeout) as I just had no time to cook.  Not to mention I had no 心情 to cook.  So last week was pretty uneventful: Father's Day, couple of doctor's appointments, stayed at home, meh.

Photobucket
All CLM and food!

Gerber rice cereal is on sale this week at Walmart and since I got a coupon for two bucks off, I picked up a box for 88 cents.  Yay.  CLM's pediatrician gave us the go ahead to start him on solids at his four month checkup but I've been putting it off.  I was going to stick with making my own baby mush but I got lazy so I think I'm going to try giving him the rice cereal this week and see how it goes.

Speaking of mush, my brain feels like it right now so I think I will go sleep.  zzzzzzz..........

Another Week Flies By

Wow, week 24 already.  Give another two and the year's half done!  As we inch towards the first day of summer, it also signals the start of shorter days, the upcoming birthday (and wedding) month, CNE, then back to school... Christmas... aiya, time flies!

This week was pretty interesting I guess.  Of course, it's for the lack of a better word.  My kitchen window leaked again!  Good thing they were able to schedule me an appointment on Friday.  So now that the window's re-glazed I hope it fixed the problem.  I really don't want to wake up to a puddle and worst yet, warped floors.

Photobucket
What a week!

Seems like all highlights of the week happened on Friday: Mom goes on cruise, window guys came, met new family doctor, picked up bridesmaid dress... busy bee!

This Boy Just Won't Sleep!

For some odd reason, CLM doesn't really like sleeping!  He doesn't sleep for the night until at least 9pm and wakes up for sure by 7am (less than 10 hours at night with two feedings in between) and only naps for about 2 hours max in aggregate during the day!  I thought what all babies did was eat, poop and sleep!  Not this one!  Heh!  Wow, and hell breaks loose when he's sleepy and can't fall asleep...

I'm starting to notice that CLM will look carefully at who's around him now but he'll still go to whomever when he's not fussy.  Just like on Sunday, when he practically got carried into the kitchen at Owl of Minerva, LOL~!

Photobucket
Week 23 equally dominated by CLM and the Keurig, aiya~!
Zio Adrian says Curtasee's cheeks look like he's smuggling golf balls, LOL!

Wednesday was a special day for 文生 (again) as he was convocated to his MFin!  Congrats!  No more classes, no more assignments, no more exams.  Yay!

Despite not being a coffee drinker, I have this new found fascination with Keurig machines so I went out and got one (it was on sale, couldn't resist!).  Fresh, different flavoured, single cups of coffees can now be had in my household.  Now I want to learn how to pour latte art!  Well, first I gotta get myself a milk frother... and then someone to drink the lattes.

I'm So Proud!

OMG, I'm so proud of CLM!  He fell asleep by himself not once, but TWICE yesterday!  Put him in his crib while he was wide awake and he dozed off!  What a first!

First Time Painting!

Yesterday, we went to Paint Lounge for Sofia's bridal shower.  My first time painting!  Curtasee was pretty much co-operative... at least long enough for me to finish my artwork (ya right, if you can call it that)!  Well, due to the fact that there were several more than willing people to Cur-Cur-sit for me!  It was fun-filled and full of laughter!  Then we proceeded to Il Postino on Main Street Unionville for part deux of the girl's night out.  Good times!

Photobucket
Not a bad painting for my first eh?

Curtasee continues to have roller coaster type sleep cycles.  Five hours one night and three hours another...aiya!

CLM is Four...Months!

Already!  Four months...seem like forever already, haha~!  At today's appointment, CLM measured in at 16lbs 3oz, 75th percentile.  Pediatrician said his growth was probably spread out to growing taller and a bigger head so his weight went from 90th percentile to 75th.  Now, CLM is more proportional with his head size and height at 75th percentile as well.  I miss his chubby cheeks though!

Mr. Chubby Cheeks on April 4th - I wanna bite em!!

A totally CLM dominated week!  Happy 4 months bebe!

That Lindt truffle is the Wildberry Yogurt Eisdessert...so yum!

Back to "Normal"

Phew!  Good thing that "growth spurt" or whatever it was, was short-lived.  真係命都少幾年呀!  Last week was pretty uneventful, except starting to play Draw Something (how's that for a life event, lol).  Oh, and celebrated my first mother's day making 盆菜.  Wah, so much food that we had leftovers for five subsequent meals -_-"

文生's friend gave us some Teddy's Choice (PC brand) diapers and I finally decided to give them a chance.  Let's just say I now know why Pampers and Huggies costs so much, they're much softer and stretchier.  Good thing the package isn't very big.  Enough said.  LOL~

Of course, not being at work means I lose track of time really easily.  Sometimes I wake up not knowing what day of the week it is.  Sucks, I know.  But one thing I know for sure is time travels really quickly even when you don't remember what day it is... Curtasee will be four months this coming Monday and I still haven't gotten my postpartum pap done yet.  So much for getting it done at six weeks pp.

Hmm..just realized my thoughts are all over the place today.  That means it's time to go sleep.  Also means that yes, last week was so uneventful I couldn't remember key points to document.  That, or I'm gettin' old...

A little late, but still caught up!

Growth Spurt?

This week's been another upside-down-and-around roller coaster kind of psycho-why-me week (if that even made sense).  All started with CLM's 100th day banquet (which was a blast, but extremely exhausting for the poor dude and me too), then 太上文生's farewell slash 太上文太's birthday dinner at 大和 which resulted in what I think was food poisoning.  I was pretty much attached by the bum to my toilet that night.  Then hell broke loose on Thursday, when CLM started fussing for no apparent reason.  It was first struggling to feed in the car, as if he unlearned all previous experiences.  I blame it on the weather being a little too warm.  Fine.  But then that night...he...did...not...sleep...AT...ALL.  Oh...my...God... I was on the verge of strangling something and then CLM gave me the biggest smile.  At 4am.  Sigh, 嬲佢唔落.  Yesterday was no better with me running on all of 1.5 hours of sleep.  Mom's friend from Macau was leaving this morning so we took her downtown to Canyon Creek for lunch, where CLM screamed at the top of his lungs the entire time.  Needless to say, I didn't really get to eat.  Good thing we got there after 2pm and the restaurant was almost deserted.  Last night CLM woke up every 2.5 hours on the dot and once daylight broke, he demanded to be fed every hour.  I almost died.  Until I went and got my Starbucks Venti unsweetened nine matcha soy green tea frappuccino.  Hee.  Then I felt better, kinda.

So, growth spurt?  I sure hope so.

Photobucket
My accomplishment (and road to sanity) - keeping up with P365

During one of the bajillion feeds today, I was rereading 可可's posts on little Evan's growth diary and realized I haven't really documented much for CLM.  Noticed that babies go through pretty much the same milestones.  At least CLM and Evan did:

At 2 months:
Stares at fists - check
Shorter feed times - check
Starts to smile - check
Loves to go out but sleeps the entire time - check

At 3 months:
Discovered his hands - check
Sucks on his fists - check
Laughs out loud - check
Nosy - check
Coos and e e er ers - check
Rolls over - wait, he hasn't done that yet

still much to learn my dear Curtasee...

Happy 29 Years and 48 Months Birthday Hun Hun!

Today is 文生's 29 years and 48 month birthday!  Happy cow one!  To celebrate, we had lobster, crayfish, shrimp, Pacific and Atlantic uni and a bottle of Relax Riesling!  YUM!  and cholesterol overload LOL~!

To make things even better, Starbucks is having their Frappuccino Happy Hour so I can sample a whole whackload of their fraps at half off for an entire week.  Yes, we'll worry about the calories later.  Today was a venti green tea frap with 9 scoops matcha, oh yeah!  Then, 文生 got me a Swarovski necklace, hee hee!!  To top it off, I'm caught up with week 18 of P365!  WIN!
