Dec 17, 2003 - 8:15pm Pacific Place (金鐘)

Yes, my noodles tasted really good! Not to mention it was huge! and cheap! Squid balls had 蝦醬 stuffed. mmmm... =)

After lunch, Dianna and I walked over to Wong Tai Sin. We took tons of pics and did the rituals. We also heard these women screaming at each other in Mandarin. In front of the temple too! How disrespectful. I 求'd 簽 for me, Mui, Mom, Poo, Tinlop, Sofia and 公公 & 婆婆. For me, I'll have an okay year (中平), not bad. For Mui's school, the lady said she has to study hard in 11/12 月 (lunar) and things will go good in 2004. For Mom, she needs to watch her health and be careful 出入 for the first half of the year. Second half will be good. For Poo, work will come, 有貴人請, must ride cow and look for horse. For me and Mom, we have to watch our health and our 貴人 will be the doctor. $20 per 簽.

Then I left Dianna and came down to Wan Chai/Admiral. Went along the harbour and tried to take pics, but got kicked out. Apparently, I was at a helicopter landing pad...oops! =p Went over to Wan Chai police station and took pics. Went to police HQ but there was nothing to take as everything was under construction. Then I came to 太古 and went to Watson's to buy masks. Didn't understand why you buy 1 for $5 and 7 for $79.90. Humph... free calendar though. Now I'm thinking of walking back to Central to wish at the wishing tree.

Dec 17, 2003 - 10:51am 九龍寨城

This morning I woke up at 7:30am and because I was so tired, stayed in bed until 7:45am. I was kinda pissed off this morning (at Dianna for writing so hard, she dented the cover of this book) but once I got here my mood was elevated. This place is quiet, pleasant and full of Chinese culture. I recognize some sets that were used in 鄭板橋. Well, this place was quiet, until they unloaded the bus here =(. It's located in Kowloon City at the Lok Fu MTR station and then 5 minutes by bus. I think we're gonna go Wong Tai Sin afterwards. (11:00am)

Walked over to 猴王廟 at 12:00pm and spent about half hour there taking pics. We were going to leave for Wong Tai Sin when we saw a chrysanthemum exhibition and stopped to take pics. We are currently waiting for our lunches at a food court inside Jusco. I hope my 泡菜牛肉烏冬 tastes good.

Dec 17, 2003 - 1:08am Home

After going back to Tung Chung (we passed by a police station and a fire station - damn), we went into the mall there to look around. I went to 優の良品 and bought more snacks! I think I'll be okay bringing them all back...I think =p. We then went to Olympic subway station, got off and went to dinner. We had yummy crunchy roast pork, garlic bak choi and broccoli, lobster with 伊麵, a crappy crab dish (couldn't separate shell from crab), fish, prawns with egg that was a little salty, pigeon, and HUGE 賴尿蝦s! Then Dianna's nephew took us back to the MTR station and we took pics at Olympian 2 (condo). I went back to Tsuen Wan and took a roller coaster home. OMG, I swear I thought the van would flip! Made plans with Dianna to go see stuff in Wong Tai Sin tomorrow. I hope to develop some more film.

Dec 16, 2003 - 6:05pm Big Buddha

The ride here was long! ~45 minutes. Too bad we came late because things closed soon and it got dark fast. Walked up to the Big Buddha. 252 steps later, we found that the inside was closed already. Would like to come back to have 齋. I went inside another temple and 求觀音 for 家宅. It is #79 中. We got kicked out afterwards because they closed at 6:00pm. We're now leaving to go somewhere...

Dec 16, 2003 - 4:01pm Lantau Island (Bus 23)

We are on a bus to the Big Buddha. We had buffet at Hotel Concourse with Dianna's cousins, her 佰娘, in-laws and Ah Keung! What a quiet person that Ah Keung is =p. The buffet was okay, drinks were included in price of $68. Unfortunately, my lunch was paid for again. Yay, and anti-yay.

At about 2:00pm we left and mui called! (yay!) Took the MTR to Tung Chung and then this bus. The houses in the area are really "China". Looks like our house in Guangzhou.

Dec 16, 2003 - 10:35am Tsuen Wan

I'm walking back towards the fire station. OMG, I'm overdressed! It must be 25C right now and I have a heavy top on. Everyone else is still in a jacket though. Go figure.

I just had the best cheung fun. $5 for 4 and it had the works! Sesame sauce, soy sauce, nam yu sauce, hot sauce, sweet sauce, sesame seeds; all equipped with two skewers! So yummy!!! Now I'm at the Fire Station of Tsuen Wan.

Dec 16, 2003 - 9:45am Shuttle

Can't believe 1 week has gone by already! This morning my alarm woke me up at 8:00am. I must have been tired because I stayed in bed until 8:40am. Not that it matters, I'm not meeting Dianna until 11:45am anyway.

I've noticed that Lynn had cleaned my soap box too! Sheesh!

Well, I'm planning on taking the shuttle to Tsuen Wan and walking around there until I need to leave.

Dec 15, 2003 - 10:47pm MTR (from Tsim Sha Tsui)

I can't believe it's almost 11:00pm and the subway is packed with people as if it's rush hour! I'm currently taking the MTR back to Tsuen Wan from Tsim Sha Tsui.

After brunch this morning, we went back to Dianna's cousin's salon so that she could get her hair washed and blow dried. Why? Don't ask, I dunno! As she got nauseous from the hair wash, we sat around until after 12 until we made our way out to Flower Market & Bird Streets and then made our way to Fa Yuen Street (女人街). We walked up and down Fa Yuen, Tung Choi, Sai Yeung Choi and ate cool stuff like extra spicy octopus, fresh jackfruit, and crunchy but soft 雞蛋仔. mmm... yum =p... Unfortunately, Dianna pk'd so we sat down at 大快活 so she could rest up. There was this rude, psycho, pathetic guy that sat at the table next to us and talked to an imaginary person across from him. He had bought an extra dinner for his "friend". When people went to 搭台, he would say (impolitely) that the seat was taken. Then he would stand up and walk away and if someone attempted to sit down or clear the table, he would run back and yell at them. Weird person.

I finally found the 金城武 calendar. Finally! I bought Maurice and Tinlop a jacket. I hope the like it. After Dianna left, I walked down Nathan Road to see if I can take more pics. I found some more horses to take pics of and then found the Tsim Sha Tsui Police Station. I was tempted to go to Temple Street but people told me not to go alone so I passed by and went straight through to Tsum Sha Tsui MTR station. Across from there should be another police station but it was on top of a small mountain and I couldn't get access. Poopie. So I proceeded southbound and ended up at the harbour. I couldn't resist taking pics! So pretty!

(at home now) Since I couldn't do much with the normal camera, I tried the digital one. OMG, my hands kept shaking so the pics were weird. Oh yeah, almost forgot. Before Dianna left, we went to buy film. Well Kodak 400 36 exp, 10 rolls for $140. Cheap right? After all I did pay $60 for 3. So we asked for a discount for buying 20. They said no. Fine, we paid and left. Then we realized that they had bagged 30 rolls of film!! So, Dianna and I both got 15 rolls for $140. That's less than $2 CAD a roll! 36 exp too!

So back to my story at Tsim Sha Tsui. I walked by the Space Centre, Arts Centre and took some pics. Hope they turn out well. So then I walked back to the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station and bought a CD. I took the MTR back to Tsuen Wan and asked where to take the bus (van). Yay! I found it and made it back home for $4.70 (opposed to $52 taxi). Yay! Came back, showered and now my feet ache. Tomorrow, I'm supposed to meet up with Dianna's cousins and have buffet. Then I think we're going to Lantau.

Dec 15, 2003 - 11:25am 旺角太子

We're at Dianna's cousin's salon after a tasty brunch at a local 茶餐廳. I had a ham macaroni and a 駌鴦. The stuff was really good and it came with toast and 2 eggs over easy! Even the butter tastes different! The 駌鴦 was very 濃. Very yum!

Dec 15, 2003 - 8:30am MTR

After being anti-salmon to go take a picture of 荃灣 ICAC, I joined the salmon stream and entered the MTR station. Of course, unlike everyone else, I'm in no hurry. (8:32am)

How embarrassing, the Mong Kok Police Station was just off the exit at 太子 and I missed it totally and circled the whole entire place before I found the dumb sign/entrance.

Dec 15, 2003 - 8:07am Shuttle Bus

Currently on the 8:10am shuttle en route to Tsuen Wan MTR station to go to Prince Edward to meet up with Dianna. Hopefully I can kill more film today, but going with Dianna means yes! With only 3 hours sleep, this is pretty good... we'll see in a few hours =p I realize I don't really need an alarm in that house. Lynn and the brats basically make enough noise to wake me. Weather today is bright and sunny.

Dec 15, 2003 - 3:30am Home (on ICQ)

Still chatting with Poo...

We went to this shopping mall in Shatin and I bought a digital camera at Broadway. Got a free 64MB memory card, Astro Boy wallet, Kodak carry case...not bad. HOWEVER! When I went to pay for the camera with my Visa, they told me I had to wait 30 minutes so they can call the card centre in Toronto to check my card. The nerve! I basically said *!#& that and paid cash. Decreasing cash flow! Bad!

Then I went to 仙跡岩 to get a tea. I was kinda disappointed. The tapioca was undercooked and the green apple tea had no tea flavour. Cost me $23 too! Poooopie! Oh well. Oh yeah, not to mention they had this mug/warming thingy for $59 and it comes with a free drink. I was going to get that but they ran out! The nerve!

After that, we went to Tai Wai to have pigion, goose, goose intestines, abalone and chicken congee, clams and garlic choy sum. Sorry Mui, I forgot my camera. The goose was very crispy but fat; the pigeon was yum; the intestines were crunchy. Everything was good!

The two brats are talking to me now (with probing) but the little one told me to 死開 tonight. I was not impressed. I was bugging him while he was trying to play his online games.

After dinner, we went home (叔 took a wrong turn and the kids dissed him) and had 楊枝甘露. Yum!! =p Chunks of mango, bits of pomelo, lots of tapioca, all in a soup of mango juice...mmm...yum! After dessert, I called Sunday to see why my phone didn't work and got it working. Then chatted with 阿嬸 for 40 minutes, Dianna called, Georgianna called and chatted and yapped. Spent 2 hours ICQing with Poo and wondering if he really went to Mars when I taught him stuff. Well, tired ---> sleep.

Dec 14, 2003 - 4:30pm 沙田

Went to visit 阿爺. He's in Shatin. The place is very nice - quiet, calm, in the mountains. I'm sure he's peaceful. I cried my eyeballs out though... :'( He is in a temple called 福積堂 in 保福山.

We're planning to go have pigeon later. Shopping time again!

Dec 14, 2003 - 3:45pm 何文田

Just left Grandma's. Poor her, can't see, can't hear. The funny thing is, she blames her deafness on drinking 雪梨湯. She kept repeating that over and over. Reminds me of Daddy.

Dec 14, 2003 - 11:05am In Car

Woke up later today at around 9:00am. Mom called and I was yapping with Mui too. Have so many stories to tell but can't. Poopie. Today, we're supposed to go meet up with grandma and 姑姐 for tea. Yay, I'm starving. (11:15am)

Just had lunch at Zen@又一城 again. It was okay. Wanted to see if I can pick up a digital camera but no free memory card. Saw this Miss Hong Kong (寇紅萍) at the restaurant. Apparently, she's the boss of Zen. Now, we're en route to grandma's. I thought we were going to eat with her, but nope.

Anyway, these kids are so violent and rude! The young one still won't talk to me, but the older one will talk only when he's interested in what I have to say. How annoying. Oh well, I'm free tomorrow!

Dec 13, 2003 - 11:28pm Home

Came home and saw this really cute car! Took some pics of it. Had dinner and watched some 歡樂滿東華. Have to write the last 3 postcards tonight! Waiting for Poo to go to work. Another hour to go... in the meantime, I have to figure out how much money I spent today. (11:30pm)

Chat and ICQ with Poo until 2am.

Dec 13, 2003 - 10:40am Home

Woke up later today at 8:30am. Spent some time writing postcards. Just got "lectured" on "careful of fan ban electronics". (10:40am)

(7pm ish?) Left house at 11:30am to go tea at a restaurant downstairs. The kids are still driving me nuts. After lunch, took the bus (van) to Mong Kok "Woman Street" and bought some clothes. I got a 椰青 for $5. OMG it was sooo good! Sweet, refreshing and LOTS of drinking. Walked forever and stopped by 阿叔's place via taxi. Dropped off the bags and went out again. Went over to West Kowloon Traffic HQ and took pics. Then went to try 車仔麵. Mmm, yum... I had 白菜仔, 豬皮 and curry fishballs on 米線. It was very spicy and very good.

Trotted over to buy more clothes and CDs/DVDs. I'm starting to get worried that I won't have money to last the stay. I'm afraid I've already used half of my spending money and I've only been here 3 days! Not good.

After that, we went to buy piano books. I went to Eddie's and found a Sammi and an Andy book. I asked if these people had Hacken and they told me he never had a book. Of course, when I went over to Parsons they said yes! The NERVE! I got 點'd; pissed off. So the copy they had was ripped up so we had to go to another mall for a new one. At the other mall, I picked up a Doraemon Uno for Sandra. Too bad they don't have the life-sized 飛行棋. Oh well... Now I'm waiting at the shop to hitch a ride home with 叔.

Dec 13, 2003 - 1:05am Home

I'm sooo tired! After the snack at the Peak, Dianna and I went into the Galleria to do some looking. Nothing is really appealing, only stuffs to rip 鬼佬's off. I bought a Pepsi for Sofay @ Park n Shop and took some more pics then left to go back down.

We met up with Dianna's cousins and had dinner. They're really nice people. Talkative and outgoing and of course the 13 year old son (of Akin 健哥) is smart, witty and polite. Her other cousin 阿倫 ended up buying me 炒慄子 (only $10!) and his co-worker paid for dinner in 荔枝角. We had curry! Of course I was thinking about Poo and Sofia! The curry was really good! We had curry beef brisket, curry mutton, curry prawns, curry oxtail, curry fish, curry mangoes, this bruschetta/flatbread thingy and the plasticine-tasting ice cream. Of course you can tell I didn't really like dessert. =p Despite 6 dishes of curry, the sauces were ALL different. Very impressive and yum!

Over dinner, Dianna was complaining about her camera and we were talking about digital cameras then cell phones. 阿倫哥 suggested we go to 旺角 to look at stuff so we took a bus. Wow, it's busy! It was 9:00pm and it looked like Boxing Day morning! I ended up buying Mui's phone and then taking a taxi from Tsuen Wan MTR because the last shuttle left at 8:45pm. Poor 倫哥 had to take me home, then go home himself and then pay for it all. I feel bad! I told him I'd buy him a drink and go karaoke.

I couldn't believe the abundance of the same store on one street. In two blocks, I saw four, that's FOUR Broadways (electronic store)! Talk about direct competition with yourself! Well, then again, maybe it's owned by the same person. Finally got home at about 11:45pm and woke up the house. That was bad. Very bad and not good.

Well, I need to write some postcards, otherwise people won't get them until I get back!

Friday, December 12, 2003

Dec 12, 2003 - 3:50pm The Peak (woo-hoo!)

Walked to 7-11 and bought a 陽光 mango juice, low sugar. Not Bad. We walked toward the Tram but got sidetracked @ Joyce, Moiselle, Mark & Spencer and taking pictures of St. John's Cathedral, ICAC and Central stuff. Finally made it to the top and Dianna's camera decided it doesn't like high altitudes. Now she's poopie but I'm gonna feed her 碗仔翅 and curry squid. Hopefully she will cheer up. Oh yeah, I thought So-Ling was bad. In Giordano, some chick called this 阿婆 "小姐". I couldn't stop laughing!!

Dec 12, 2003 - 1:07pm KFC @ Central

After McDonald's we went to Wing Long to exchange Hong Kong dollars. The exchange rate was pretty good at 5.855 and only $40 service charge. Then we went to the tourism office and picked up some info. I bought a yukata at a street vendor and we were his first customers of the day! We crossed the street to go to the post office and mailed Kiyoe's vest. Shit it costs more than Toronto. Bought some nice postcards that are prepaid and will write them tonight.

After going to the post office, we went up the longest outdoor escalator (which we got sidetracked and didn't finish) and saw a Monopoly like "collect as you pass go" thingy for your octopus card. Yay deal! One lady must have recharged at least six cards.

We made our way along Hollywood Road and went to 文武廟. We took pics, walked around, died of smoke and walked down back to Central and visited more street vendors. Here's where I bought ankle socks for Mui which may not fit her... hmm...

Now Poo's stuff. We went to Bossini to pick up some clothes, pants and went next door to Giordano. Bossini was cheaper! We went to KFC for corn. Can you believe it? Roasted chicken wings too! Their Zinger is a lot better than it is in Toronto. Cheaper too. Dianna's lunch of a larger than Toronto sized Zinger sandwich, criss cross fries, drink and corn was $24! She didn't like the corn or mayo. My turn to try. Okay, okay, I know why... it just tastes like detergent, no big deal... =p It tasted better 13 years ago. Oh well.

Dec 12, 2003 - 8:30am MTR

Left the house at 8:10am and took the shuttle bus to MTR station. 14 minutes later arrived at Tsuen Wan station. The driver took a different route today (rush hour?). Scared me! Thought I took the wrong bus! Didn't want to get lost this early! Meeting Dianna at Central. Hope today will be more eventful (8:33am).

Got to HSBC headquarters at around 8:45am and didn't see Dianna. Walked across the street to take pics and then saw a big big Christmas tree! Saw Dianna and yelled across the street. She ignored me... =p Went to McDonald’s to have hot cakes, pineapple pudding and Coke with Thai hot sauce. Funky Pudding. The margarine was imprinted with the McDonald’s logo! When we left, I got up to throw out my garbage and this girl rushed over to throw out my garbage for me and almost tripped! I keep forgetting that people in Hong Kong don’t throw out and return their trays like we do. Almost got the girl in crap! LOL!

Dec 12, 2003 - 12:53am Home

Waiting for Poo to go online. Poooopie! I'm so tired!

After we had tea at Zen, we went to Red Earth and picked up way too much stuff. Then we went to Mexx. Boy the stuff there was expensive. I went to Clinique and stuff there was expensive. Took a couple of pictures in the mall and 阿嬸 wanted to leave so we left.

We took the MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui and went to the LV store. The place was a mad house. As if there is no tomorrow and stuff was free. After all, you are paying $2,000 for a change purse, $5,000 for a wallet and like, these people were just buying away! The salespeople are snobs. They don't have enough people to serve the bus load of China women and they don't care if you're going to walk away! Sheesh!

After that fiasco, we took a bus to Hung Hom and landed in my aunt's favourite jewelry store. Looked at some stuff and ended up with a necklace and a bangle. Pretty neat stuff. Although not as original as Just Gold, but definitely a lot cheaper.

Tried on some glasses at Optical 88, sucked. Then went and bought photo albums at this store. Wow, the salesperson was "hard-selling" like crazy! Didn't fall for much except the negative album, but hey, it is neat. We then went to this store and bought a pair of pants and a jacket for $120! OMG, that's like $60 per piece! Imagine that! Well, there was another pair of pants I liked but they didn't have my size. Poopie. Oh yeah, and the pair I bought was XL. I was floored! Before that, I had a 雪梨茶. It was good ^.^

After the shopping, we went to 叔's shop and waited for him to drive us home. Had dinner, took a shower, called Serene and Dianna and now I'm totally beat. Still waiting for Poo to go online, but nope, not on. Sleeping soon.

Dec 11, 2003 - 1:30pm Zen Restaurant 彩蝶軒 in 又一城

For afternoon tea (or rather lunch), we went to Zen. [後記 - This is the place where I had the $59 糯米雞. It was loaded with stuff like whole conpoy, a small abalone, etc. Worth $59? Not a chance! But it was indeed good. The restaurant has now relocated to the top of the Peak.] The subway ride was kinda uneventful, but I managed to observe a lot of how it works. We should be able to do some shopping around here for electronics, clothes etc... woo, I want that digital camera! I saw Mui's z200 for only $1,790! Cheaper than the 6108 ($2,188). We go attack the shops after lunch.

Dec 11, 2003 - 12:30pm On the condo bus

After ICQ-ing Poo, Mui, Sandra and Faye, we took the condo bus to Tsuen Wan MTR station. What a nice sunny day! Sure beats the windy overcast morning a few hours ago. Still can't get over leaving my Vita large size lemon tea at Garden though. Just saw the Tsuen Wan fire station. Must come back, although it will be quite the walk! 12 minutes later, I think we're at the station

Dec 11, 2003 - 10:25am Park n Shop 百佳

Walked all the way back home to the 百佳 across the street. Nothing special, stuff is about the same as Wellcome. Walked out at 10:45am. Of course, I look across the street and there is the dumb 深井消防局暨救護站. It's across from the Garden Factory. Stupid me. (10:50am)

I went to the Garden Factory to get some stuff and damn, I left my lemon tea in there! Damn!

Dec 11, 2003 - 9:30am Near 釣魚灣泳灘

Walking along, still looking for that fire station I saw last night. It's funny, they have designated BBQ areas and this one called "Fishing Bay Beach" does not allow fishing and you can't go on the beach...hmm...go figure? Finished my 酥皮叉燒飽 mmm... goodness! =p (9:40am)

Walked past the first temple of my visit 天后宮. It is near 青龍頭村.

Dec 11, 2003 - 8:40am Inside Wellcome 惠康

Woke up at 7:15am this morning and left the house at 8:15am to walk around. Went to Wellcome near 叔's apartment and saw lots of cool stuff! Small bags of 卡樂B's $10 for 5!!! The cutest milk cartons. Vita lemon green tea? Apple green tea? Lemon tea light?!? Coke light? Sheesh! What will they think of next? Printed 3-ply toilet paper...hmm...125mL Vita boxes! Cute! This early, you only see older people and "bun buns"

I left at 9:15am and bought 2 things for Mui already.

Dec 11, 2003 - 12:47am 阿叔屋企

I went to get my luggage earlier and realized that it had an "inspected" sticker on it. I thought: "How can they inspect it when it's locked?" Sure enough, my lock is gone and they've gone through my stuff. The nerve. I even asked the lady at US Customs and she said it was okay to lock it. UPSETTING...poopie!

On the drive to 叔's house, I saw lots of stuff that I want pictures of! Especially of the airport. I didn't take any pics of the airport yet. I couldn't believe there's a $30 toll to access the airport.

Wednesday, December 10, 2003

Dec 10, 2003 - 8:30pm Hong Kong

Finally! After 24 hours of pure agony, I'm in Hong Kong! Apparently, we have to have our temperature checked and fill out a SARS form. Ooh...fun. =) Yay! 18 degrees C! The new Hong Kong airport looks pretty funky. I'm now on a movator on my way to get my luggage.

Dec 10, 2003 - 5:05pm During Flight

I'm just chomping on a bag of rice crackers and wasabi peanuts. Sure beats the pretzels. (5:05pm)

(6:58pm) We're almost there! Well, not really. Still 2 hours and 40 minutes to go. Just finished dinner of unagi don (yum!), fruit and white chocolate mousse cake that I could only eat half of. At least it wasn't half as sweet as the cake on AA. I watched Turning Left Turning Right. Eh, it's okay. If it wasn't for 金城武 then it would have been crap, but it was okay. I'm still getting the DVD and calendar! [後記 - 『向左走向右走』 都幾 sweet 呀. 冇金城武都可以幾 okay 嘅. Probably found it better after watching it two more times over the years.]

Dec 10, 2003 - 2:40pm Tokyo

We arrived 40 minutes early. Cool, more exploring for me! It is nice and sunny here, 9 degrees C outside. It's now 3:40pm and I walked around the airport. Wow, there's a lot of stuff I want to buy! (3:40pm)

(4:10pm) Just boarded the plane to Hong Kong. Damn, for a Cathay seat, there's less leg room than the AA flight. Sheesh! I find the 日本人 at the airport need to brush up on their English. They all suck! Sent me around in circles just getting my boarding pass. Not amused. However, the souvenir shops are interesting...didin't want to leave. I must get some Yen when I come back. Yup yup =p hee hee! (4:15pm)

(4:37pm) Darn, now we're moving and I just saw a sign of Narita that I want to take a picture of. To bad =(. Airborne at 4:46pm.

Dec 10, 2003 - 1:40pm (Tokyo Time) During Flight

Just finished a light dinner of curry soggy udon with tasteless chicken, fruit and cookies. Only 49 minutes left 'til Tokyo. Yay! Then I can walk again. During the whole flight, I only got up once to go to the washroom. My legs are stiff.

Tuesday, December 9, 2003

Dec 10, 2003 - 2:26pm During Flight

It's actually 10:26pm on December 9th Toronto time

I'm bored. I've watched everything on TV already, music's boring, and my back hurts. Watch Medallion (Jackie Chan). Good thing I'm using the blanket as back support. Yay! Only two more hours 'til Tokyo. According to the flight plan, we're currently above the Pacific Ocean, somewhere near Hokkaido (2:35pm)

Dec 9, 2003 - 2:15pm During Flight

Just finished lunch that consisted of sushi (only 1 cucumber roll and 1 salmon nigiri), salad, rice with a very very dry salmon and a very sweet chocolate cake that I couldn't eat. Now I'm tired and will nap! Pig =p (2:17pm)

I don't know what time it is anymore, we're somewhere near Alaska and local time is 3:16pm. Only 5 more hours to Tokyo. Just had snack of ham and cheese sandwich, raisins and M&M's. Currently watching Nemo.

Dec 9, 2003 - 1:17pm During Flight

I just got pretzels and one can of Coke about 20 minutes ago. STARVING! I can smell lunch, but can't see it! We are currently flying over Manitoba / Saskatchewan.

Dec 9, 2003 - 11:30am Chicago

OMG, more kids?!?! We're still not moving yet, but got menus for lunch and dinner. It's 11:40am and we're now airborne!

Dec 9, 2003 - 8:45am Chicago

We arrived in Chicago 15 minutes early! I saw the captain and his four stripes! (8:55am) [後記 - 出發前追緊港劇 『衝上雲霄』 還未大結局]. Played with a Sony Vaio TRZA notebook and sent email (9:05am)

Yuggy! It's raining outside. An hour to go before take off (10:05am).

I'm on the plane to Tokyo and waiting to eat. I'm hungry. There wasn't much choice at O'Hare. My seat is nice and toasty. Let's hope it stays this way.

Dec 9, 2003 - 8:15am Toronto

Ready for take off! Rolled out towards lane. It's 8:25am and we're still on the ground and this is making me sleepy. Apparently, there is a delay of 20 minutes due to bad weather in Chicago so we have to wait here on the plane. Mui, the captain is a man and I didn't catch his name (8:30am). Okay, now we're going to go again (8:30am). We're airborne! (8:35am) I'm having a ginger ale and trying to fall asleep. Of course failing miserably, because the cabin is so cold.

They've just started to board passengers. I'm in Group 5 so I have to wait longer. Poopie. I'm watching people loading the luggage onto the plane. Ooh...how exciting. =) Damn, how sarcastic. I knew I should have brought my phone. At least I can yap, but no, I don't even have a quarter to use a pay phone. Poopie. Oh well, time for me to board.

Just checked in with US customs and of course with my luck, I got chosen to have my luggage examined. The lady was nice though. She could totally tell that I was going to do a lot of shopping from the "bag in a bag" thing. No line-ups anywhere so far. Totally saved time and the back pain that would have came with it. My "virgin" passport is stamped! Yay! Now I'm waiting to board the plane. So much for 7:30am boarding time.
