But its kinda weird right. I mean.. To go abroad and have fun is not quite possible without spending power. Im not talking bout coming back with bags of LV and Gucci or some other high end brand. But... Aiyah. How should i put it? I hope uunderstand!!!!
In a state of euphoria now! Thinking bout how fun it'd be if i were to go.
But uh huh. Back to reality. Examinations - couple of days away. Next tues, wed, fri and its OVER! Yes, O-V-E-R. And it'd mark the end of my 1st year in NYP. Boo. How fast time flies!

STUDY BREAK! SOUNDS COOL EH!!! Sadly, i wasted monday and tuesday. Monday - busy sorting out the notes and stuff. Tues - Lazed at home till it was time for tuition! Tuition sure was easy today! Simply summarized the Geog Text for Viron and made him write notes! Hope this study method works for him!
Wed - Ping called me up at like.........8.40AM. I AM TIRED CANNNN. But i dragged myself up and headed to sch's library. Studying was REALLY SLOW. Was still at inflammation while she was way ahead of me. Soon came lunch. After lunch, Ping and i went up the lab in search for Dr Hema. Ping wanted to submit her MC. Saw the NEWBIES. They really looked kinda square. But how square they really are can only be 'diagnosed' 3 weeks later? After they open up that nut shell of theirs.
Thurs - Which is today! Still on GOP. Hope to finish GOP today and 2 lectures on Op Tech! Way to go!!!! Thats all for now. Taken a break thats wayyyyy toooooo longgggggg.

Monday - Thurs*18-21/04/05
Only phrase to describe: Life's a straight line . Except for few gossip sessions here and there, clinicals were wayyyy toooo dryyyy. Ar huh. Hitched a ride from Dan on Tues as i had to be at kembangan at 6pm and had somehow met him at the lift. At first he offered to alight us at City hall, then PayaLebar as he had change of plans on his side. Final decision: Drop us off at our respective destinations. Really nice of him. It was polite of him to drive at snail's pace. Too many cool gadgets in that silver box of his i cant remember. Stared blankly at the roads on the Eastern side of Spore-So very foreign! Couple moments of silence after Carmen alighted.
Than came Thurs. Couple of cards to express our gratittude were bought by my fellow class mates. After office hours, Fuglians turned cranky (as usual). We were wrecking havoc at Tutorial 2A! Each of us contributed to the 'design' of the card for the 3rd years. In our concious effort to make our messages turn fugly, it looked ok afterall. Its like.. What we wrote is really creative and has some form of..Stlye incorporated into it. Hence, no matter what horrible colour combi we planted, it was simply NICE. Haha. Is that the correct word? Anyways, that is history. This incident- i will never forget. Somehow, there seem to be hope once again!(Guess u wont know what im referring to here eh.) Consider this warm up session for Friday's geling session.
Friday. Time FLEW. Some parts of it probably disintegrated. Clinicals soon ended. Basically bidding our good byes, expressing thanks to them for being such a great host and not forgetting that 'event' starting with G. Yes, thats right. GOSSIP SESSIONS.
Fondly miss the ppl there. Seriously, what is learnt during the procedures are secondary. Its the communication and interpersonal skills thats primary. Eat the meat, throw the bones. Whats left? Sweet memories. Whats thrown? Complaints of insignificant others.
Library sessions again. B-O-R-I-N-G. An evaluation form was given. One question was: What was the activity u enjoyed most? I had the urge to fill: LIBRARY SESSIONS. AHahahaha.
Early dismissal. We turned from Blue Ducklings to Pulchritudinous Swans. Took 95 down to Holland V. Long walk to the spot of life. Half way thru, 4 of them decided to hail a cab. Leen and i were persistant and wanted to complete the walkathon. Threw some stuff into the cab and headed to Hagen Dazs hands free. Was kinda...Sweating profusely, but we denied. Afterall, they are Fuglies and knew what we were really thinking about. Leen and i were exposed. (We wanted to act as if the walk there was light and breezy but we failed.)
Thrashed 'things' out at Hagen Dazs. Really a great session. All the unhappiness were spelled out. (With elaboration and exampleS!)
An unpleasant incident happened at the ice cream store too. Shallnt elaborate.
Headed to Tango's as WaLaWaLa was full. If only we were 20, we'd go up for the live band at Wala's!
Had Strawberry and Mango Marblahblah PLUS lotsa fooooood. Played games and poked at each other's folly. Great time spent. ('Lady Luck' wasnt smiling at me. I 'striked' several times. But resisted drinking.) How often we get to spend such happy moments together!
Left at bout 9. Went home, smiling to myself. Retired to bed as soon as i got home.

Allllright. We forgot bout the Denture session. Oh dear.. Needa look for that lecturer for a sincere apology. The last impression i'd like her to have is that we are a big bunch of useless and forgetful bums.
Friday
WACKING FUN DAY. Ended kinda early. (3Plus) Thats the only best thing that happened today. Haha.
Gotta know lotsa news bout Ah beng. Suddenly all that we talk about would somehow be linked to him! Thoughts of unbelief ran through my mind. Curiosity filled me! Gotta find out more on Monday!!! Like what the hell right. He's the... 2004 Cleo's Top 50 Most Eligible Bachelor.. Ex swimmer.. Owns a factory.. And blah. Alright. From Mon to Fri. Perception bout Ah Beng changed a whole lot. He's rather gentleman. Thats all i could say. No talks bout personal stuff just yet. Probably probing more into this colourful life of his on monday! Spaciality mannnn.. In a foreign ground afterall.. hmm, how should i start?!
Bused down to Holland V. after changing outta that BLUE STUFF. At Holland V, gotta change back cannnn.. Thanks to Cady lorrrrrr. We (Leen ping and i) desperately wanted to wear 'home' clothes, but Cady didnt bring clothes and felt weird. Verdict : ALL OF US CHANGED BACK INTO THAT BLUE STUFF. Jus that now, its more crumpled. Shopped and i bought pumps from x:odus. Sat down for Bites and Cuppa Coffee at Breko. Gossiped larh.. What else man. Left for home at bout 8plus.

Supper with Dan, Shan, Lyon and Robson after svc. Had zi char together. First time in history mannnn.. Ordered medium, the portion was ALOT. But.. i seriously wasnt feeling fullllll. Reached home at bout 1245am.

Kenji : Today, if u want.
Me : Alright. Sure.
Kenji : U like the alignment and the bite?
Me : Im ok.
And...... Gone were the days where i had braces on. And i sure look WEIRD to myself! I realised i have BEEEEEG teeth. I prefer myself in braces. I thought i look kinda cute! :P Ok, u'll feel like slapping me after reading this yeah?

On The First Day Of Christmas My True Love Gave To Me...
I mean, on the first day of attachment..
What else could be worse than putting on the blue cleaners' look-a-like uniform.
On bus no. 95 stood a man in blue collare. And i passed a remark i wish i could take back. I said to Kel : Whichever student in dentistry wearing blue today is quite suay. He'll look like he's one of us!
Outside the Dean's office were pictures taken way back before i was born. Spotted Dr Hema in her younger days. She was SO CHEERY. And she still is now! Cuz she's teaching the cream of the crop-US. Haha.
WOW. An eye opener, indeed! Worked with the 4th years. Nice ppl. Ok, not all. Some were rather shy, some were quite friendly. That foreigner i worked with was really approachable. He made me feel so at home!
Couldnt have been more tired. Stood all the way in the clinic man! Too shy to sit eh.
And yes, the most horrid incident : An old indian lady from DSSU.. (Which we thought at first is a toilet cleaner) said : Same ar Same ar! (Referring to our uniform larhhhh. Dont u get what i mean?)
2nd Day was ALOT better. BORING PREVENTIVE DENTISTRY LECTURE. Was like Oral Health Promotion! 1st 2/3 of the lecture, busy taking down notes. For goodness sake. She rattled on and on so quickly that i couldnt bother much more.
Afternoon sessions were great. Starting to feel alittle more comfortable. But need to adapt to the new faces-e 3rd yrs.
Alright. Some looked arrogant. They probably were shy. And we had this prejudice bout # at the very last part of the day.
2 Funny Incidents
1) A toilet cleaner in off white gave us that kind of 'what-are-u-doing-in-that-blue-top' stare. He was literally giving us a disgusted scan from the crown of my head to the sole of my feet! Pointed that out to Pinggy and we laughed over it.
2) Cady and i were at the ladies brushing and grooming. Than in came a lady, peeking in and she went : Fook u! Cady and i turned and looked at each other, bursting out in hilarious laughter.
Pingy had a needlestick injury today. Fault lying in the in-house departments. The needle was embedded in the gown! Shallnt elaborate on it. They paid in full her medical checkup. Hope all will turn out fine for my darling girl.
Wed
Pinggy didnt join us for today. Feeling feverish, she decided to give today a miss.
Boring time at lab, to the extent we sit down for occassional chats at some discreet corner of the clinic. Only our 3rd day and we are sick of observing. Everything seems mundane.
Gave my first.............................to a guy.
Assisted WeiQiang in charting and procedures in Perio. I know i kinda flopped when he stopped work and wore his goggles. Bah, he probably forgot to wear them. :D not that im not doing a good job. And oh, dont get the wrong idea! Dental Therapist/Hygienist dont assist dentists. Any P6 student with average dexterity can do that closing one eye.
These peeps are really a fabulous bunch of big kids! They have their fair share of fun though they look kinda serious at e clinic, I guess. However the staff were not too hospitable.
Thursday's gonna be fun-something new! A staff invited half the class to pop in for denture making session. Cant wait!

Summary of this week
Mon:Walked a shorter route to Bras Basah, ended up going an entire round on my way back as i exit at the wrong exit. Brisked back to CityHall meet Jul, didnt manage to go down Orchard get da pair of shoes as i was 20mins behind schdule! Didnt wanna be late for meeting. Meeting was fun cannn! Literally lauging every 2 mins. Really felt i've grown in ministry.
Tues:Went down Sembawang order cake. Banu and i almost had a cat fight in the bakery! Well, crashed thoughts. Different style of working i guess. Haha. Bebe's treat to Sakae Sushi at Yishun!! Yummy. Averaged out to bout 36$. Reached home dead tired, read thru Radiography once. Thought i regret going for Sakae, running errands? No i didnt! Read on!
Wed:Supposed to have 4hrs to study for radiography. In a short notice, we had to stay on for additional lab sessions and were left with bout 2 hours. U know how girls like to drag time.. Studied for 1hr and went in for paper. Woa. Study so little can get kinda...better grades lorrrr.
Thurs:Finally got the cards for AWW. After so many days of worrying bout it, it finally is in my hands! Stayed up till the wee hours to complete ringing them. Went Woodlands with Cady after school this afternoon in the search of black pants. Its fugly can. BLACK PLAIN PANTS. I suggested pants with some strips of white or sumthing, but was rejected flat by Mdm Soh. :)
Mrs Quek suan me till i bo chun. As in, she was reallllllly scarstic. No evil intentions but she was really harsh on me. :( Dou Shi Wei Wo Hao... Hurt by what she said, Dr V seemed like the one who treats me the best! :D
Friday:Farewell party, lots to elaborate but too tired to type.HPB interview, will elaborate again.CGM meeting:FARN.

Sunday night
Actually forgot bout OpTech test tmr, totally slipped out of my mind!
Anyways, jus back from sch after prac test. And Gosh. What bad remarks DrHema gave. But true la. Haha. Like what i usually do during lab is wrong cannn. In my concious effort to restore the pits and marginal ridge, i left out carving the cental groove! How silly i can get. 3 mistakes DrV pointed out: Little shortage on mesio buccal, scratch on mesio interproximal, little contact point. Bahhh. Quite a demoralising day.
Quite a couple of errands to run today.
1)Bras Basah's Art Fren get da stupid rings.
2)Found a black shoe im ok with at Charles&Keith, will be getting e discount card frm Julienne at 0630, than head down to Wisma get da stuff. Dun wanna hold on to the card for too long cuz she's like doing me a favour. Plus the next time i see her would prob be 2 weeks later.
3)Ministry meeting at night. Have ta rush back to city hall after trip to Wisma.
Will prob drop dead when i get home. Like leaving me only Tues to study for Radiography. And that sounds like i have to pia again.
