i realised something.i write like im talking to my blog.

i cant sleeep!
ugh its so annoying.i went to bed at about 1 plus and it took me almost an hour to fall asleep and here i am,at my com at 8am.somethings not right.

i had a rather interesting day at work yesterday.
its my first 8-hour shift and i survived it!snaps for the hardworking busy bee.(haha.didnt carson's face just flash in front of you with those snaps?)
anyhoos (omg.did anyone hear joseph say 'yous' on idol last monday?i'll explain the yous later),it was fun working at nuts yesterday.surprisingly.
how they time the breaks is crucial.keeps you from going nuts wondering when you're gonna get off work.gives me something to look forward to.

for the millionth time,someone asked if im from china.its the same everytime.when i say no,they say i look chinese (as in from china).that leaves me thinking,im chinese,i should look chinese right?those words were exactly what came out of my mouth when my colleague asked me.he said,'do you see that as an insult?'
i said,'no?i think its a compliment.im chinese,i should look chinese right?'. very matter-of-factly.
and i mean it.the millionth time.i lost count so i made up a number close enough to the real thing.

and i just have to say,its not double standard-ing when people who are pro-anglo/white have all the bad things to say about asians.
me,being the most pro-chinese/asian person alive (an exaggeration,dont haunt me about it) i really have no issue with the so called 'double-standarding'.its when you make it an issue,then theres really an issue.
which led me to subconsciously realise yesterday, that asians really have a wierd manners.simply put it,people dont double standardise for no good reason.
the whites,they use their p's and q's.
for example,this is what i observed (it has happened so many times i didnt even have to listen hard for it to register in my head).
they will go like, 'hi can i have 50g of that? (pause) please?'
i dont know how important the pause is in this analysis.tell me if you have any sort of explanation for it.
thats besides my point.my point is that,they bother to say it.even if it took like a second for them to realise that they've forgotten to say it.

then comes the asian ah-ma.
first,she mumbles something.then i have to ask like ten times before i know what she wants.after i give her the nuts and goes ring up the transaction on the till,she asks me like 3 times whether it is the nut that she wants and whether it is 50g.
that is after the previous 3 times she asked me when i was scooping up the nuts and weighing them.
oh god,help me.
(not to mention she didnt say thanks.but maybe she doesnt know how to say it in english.so thats ok.that is an important factor in this comparison)

but then theres this non-white,non-asian guy who asked me for a sample.
he just went,'can i try?'
then went on to buy something.
the whole 3 minutes that we interacted,i tried really hard to hear for a 'p' or a 'q'.non of that came.

there was this couple from a certain SEAsian country.
i dont think i have to say what their attitude was like for you to know.
just simply a disgrace to the whole region.
the whole time,they kept diao-ing me for no good reason.i didnt see their faces light up one second.it was just painful to watch.lighten up!i mean you're here on a holiday arent you?

so i think its a problem related to linguistics.
when you're not a native/near fluent speaker of a language,you tend not to be able to express yourself very well (thats quite a duh.)
but i dont know whats with the couple who werent very friendly.
not a problem of linguistics.or maybe it is.

i just dont get why people have to be so chao-bin when they buy something.
customer service is what myer is known for,so i have to appear keen and friendly all the time.
the next time you go buy something at safeway (or whereever.cos i tend to always treat the safeway people like shit.but now i know.), say thanks when they hand you your receipt or say hi back when they greet you at the checkout point.those people have been standing there for at least 5-10 hours and been polite and nice the whole time.doesnt kill for you to do it for like 3 minutes.

im paying my dues for having been one of the quite rude people who shop at safeway.haha.

omg. if you havent seen the disturbing pictures of kate bosworths' ribs yet,i suggest you dont (now that i've tingled your curious bones its hard no to eh?haha.)

but i bet you've seen,only because its on every other tabloid blog there is (trent,justjared,ONTD.)
poor girl,have one bad picture taken and its all over the net.
i hope this doesnt spiral down the bad way and she stops eating all together (not that i think she IS eating now).
seriously,people forget that celebs are normal folks like you and me,maybe with like 10 million dollars more sitting in their bank and have oneblue/onegreen eyes.

hmmm,seems like i havent had any fun a long time.sigh,what a life.
i just checked my statcounter and its like dead too.except for wednesday.its the only day of the week that more than 10 people visited my blog.
hahh.i just let slip how my blog has been facing some drought.a drought from pictures,interesting events and umm,visitors/readers.

im just rambling on my own tangent here.my brain is a bit dead from working with the nuts all day and writing the friggin 2000+2000 words due next thursday.
i have to write something before my blog ceases to exist!

but why the upsurge in number of visitors on wednesday?i think its repeated visits by a only a few.umm,before i lose any of your attention (i feel myself zoning out),my point is why wednesday.hmm.my bad day at work.thats all i can remember of that day.

last friday we had mel over for pancakes!yum.
while the stressed out babies were hard at work (with the essays),me and mel were happily watching queer eye and oprah.
then we had music 101.hehe.winkwink.

today at work mel came and told me about IT.
sigh...poor mel and her paddington bag.i feel for you mel.
teo!forgot to tell you that my friend's friend (aka mel's friend's bf) spoilt her paddington bag.lets start a hate club and terrorise that guy.

nina and I went to eat nando's after work today.
'when you said lets go out for dinner i didnt expect nando's.how pathetic is this(points at grilled chicken wrap)?'
then this woman sitting opposite us kept staring at us.non-stop.everytime i looked in her direction she was staring back at me.how annoying is that!but i found it quite amusing after a while when nina and I kept laughing at her staring at us.it wasnt a comfortable dinner.but we had our own fun (laughing at her).
then we went to max brenners' and i saw rati working there.
i had dark choc mocha and nina had italian hot choc.yum.
then i spotted some hotties.
hehe.its kinda against sarah's anti-uh hum sentiments (if you know sarah well enough u'd know what it is).this blog does not support that,obviously,because i have that fetish.

what else happened the past three,four weeks,umm month?i'll update again if i think of anything.
