a few random things to blog about (its been long overdue) :
-we got the apt at blue tower (yay.thanks to nina and sarah.my apologies for doing
absolutely nothing)
-been baking some new year goodies (think pineapple tarts and green pea cookies)
-my mom keeps nagging me to finish [baking]them if not she'll ask someone else to do
it.(hello!if i wanted someone else to bake it i would've just bought ready-to-eat ones off the shelves.she claims that i have "nothing else to do anyways")
-btw those were 4 [containers of] pineapple tarts and about another 4 green pea ones i had to do.
-i had my very first on-campus experience when i stayed over at my sister's temp hostel.communal shower and all.
-one night only.know why?
-she was kinda staying there "illegally",the room was under another person's name.u see,they have to play for the hall's sports team to be able to stay there.some sorority/fraternity-ish thing i suppose,its co-ed though.which explains the 'slash'.
-the night i stayed over,there was a routine check (busted!)
-i was supposed to crash a pols science lecture the next morning but my sis kinda got me into the wrong lecture hall.
-so i just roamed around nus by myself.
-interesting facts: 1)the uni is H-U-G-E.u have to travel by the internal [freeofcharge]buses(they have SBS buses looping through too) to get from one faculty to the other!makes melbU look like singapore beside it.
-college kids dont sleep.the raucous bunch outside continues up to 3-4 am.
-tv randoms.
-ellen pom-something (meredith grey in grey's anatomy) reminds me of lara flyn boyle.(dont u think!!!???)the fishey loppy lips,the voice.plus both of them are definitely anorexic.FYI:i cant stand this ellen person.she's irritating.prolly the only thing thats stopping me from watching the show.everytime she comes on screen i cringe a little.
-i cant believe they aired the victoria secret show!!i dont know about u but i was really excited when i saw the trailer the week before,after the project runway finale.for one,it is like THE most watched fashion show ever.(where male viewers prolly take like 70% of viewership).plus,u rarely see up-to-date fashion shows on channel 5.dont count up-to-date.they never show any of the high-end fashion stuff.ever.
-all in all i was rather excited the whole time watching the show.the supermodels strutting their stuff.i can name almost all of them.
-did isabeli say she has a kid?
-i saw andrew g on cable yesterday!hahaha.he interviewed madonna and they named the interview "andrew g's excellent adventure!".damn aussie right.try saying it out loud with the accent.so funny.gave me a dose of aussie-ness that i havent had since i got back.the closest i get to hearing aussie accent is either on travel and living or trailer voice-overs on the radio.
-then my brother asked if he is ali g's brother.-_-"
-if not there's always the australian open.which always reminds me that im here while the matches are going on at rod laver that is just 10 mins from the city.
-i blinked twice when i saw "hin" on the scoreboard.what?hingis is back?since when?noone told me!not only is she back,she's back with the same game she used to play.she makes every shot look easy.i cant wait for her to kick up a storm and mess up the rankings this tennis season!
