Fourth Month
16-17 Weeks Old:
I can't believe Eliza is almost 4 months old. She started sleeping through the night when she was about 3 months old and most nights are good. The last week or so she kept waking up and wouldn't go back to sleep, even if I put her pacifier in. I started giving her an extra bottle in between dinner and bed and she has been sleeping through the night again. She is SUCH a big eater! Here are some poses of our happy girl.
One night after running an errand, I came home and lifted up the blanket covering Eliza's car seat, and the blanket that I usually have folded in a tube to cushion her head had come a little unfolded and looked like this. She reminded me of a little Cleopatra and I had to take a picture. She's giving me her lopsided grin here.
15-16 Weeks Old:
Here is our little girl in the morning. She is always so happy to see me when I come in to get her.
She is playing with her little lion toy here.
14-15 Weeks Old:
Josh and I celebrated our 8th Anniversary November 10th. When we got married, I had a plan to take an anniversary picture each year because I thought it would be so fun to see how our kids changed each year. We finally got to take a picture with a kid in it! :-DShe is such a beautiful, happy baby.
I never pose her hands like this...
it's just one of the ways she likes to hold her hands.

13-14 Weeks Old:
Our little princess smiles all the time now.
Morning is still her favorite time when she smiles the most.Friday, October 24, 2008
Third Month
12-13 Weeks Old:
Our always happy (and very well fed) little girl:
If I am in the same room she is (which is most of the time), she usually watches me everywhere I go. I think it's so cute when she's on her back and she has to look clear up above her to look at me. I just had to get some pictures.I LOVE this girl!
She LOVES to swing. She is usually so content and would swing for hours if I'd let her.
One of my favorite pictures. It's a little fuzzy, but it's hard to focus on her when I'm not looking through the camera (I have to hold the camera away from my face to keep her attention).
These pictures are a little fuzzy. Again, I had to take them without looking through the camera to keep Eliza's attention.
11-12 Weeks Old:
On Saturday, October 18th, Josh's Grandmother had a Halloween party at a bowling Alley. It may not be a conventional Halloween costume for a baby, but I just had to dress Eliza up as a princess. She IS our little princess and is so beautiful. Plus, I always wanted to be a princess when I was little (this was before all of the Disney Princess stuff was out, so it was hard to be one!). And for my last Halloween Costume when I was a 11 I was a princess. So I thought it was fitting. Everyone absolutely loved how cute she looked.
In case you're wondering about my outfit (and you're probably not), it's a sparkly thing that I had to buy for work a few years ago and I actually really like it, but it's not the sort of thing I can just wear places (I've never worn it since I got it). But I figured that since Eliza was a princess, I could be her "guardian" and it would be appropriate for me to be all dressed up, too."Peace" (backwards, but who cares)

10-11Weeks Old:
Getting So Strong!
Getting So Strong!
This one's a bit fuzzy, but I love the expression on her face.
It's like she just discovered something new.
Here she is in the baby bjorn. The first one shows her intent staring look. The second one is what I call her "content" look. She is such a good baby!
9-10 Weeks Old:
Here are a couple of size comparison pictures. The first was taken after I gave her her first bath on August 3rd. The next two were taken on October 8th.
The two marks on her stomach are what the doctor calls temporary birth marks.
He said they'll go away after about a year. We'll see.

She is all cheeks and tummy (well, I guess she's pretty chubby all over, but her stomach and cheeks are particularly chubby).
At her two week appointment
(actually done when she was 10 days old),
her stats were as follows:
Weight: 6.37 lbs (7.38 %)
Length: 19.5 in (28.41%)
Head Circumference: 13.38 in (14.12%)
At her two month appointment, she had exploded:
Weight: 11.77 lbs (76.06%)
Length: 22.3 in (44.53 %)
Head Circumference: 15.2 in (42.14%)
Here's a bit of a smile taken in the morning
(she is definitely a morning person--always so happy in the mornings!)
