Yes, I am Twilight Obsessed, kind of
Who went to see Twilight this weekend? (Please, no shrieking) I went with my sisters and a bunch of friends to see the midnight showing Thursday night.
I really liked the movie! I heard a few bad reviews and had low expectations, it's hard to compare Hollywood's vision to your own imagination. But I really loved the characters, the cinematography, the special effects, everything. I'd love to hear all of your opinions!

Box Car Drive In
Tyler's First Piano Recital
Tyler had his first piano recital this week! He did an amazing job! He played "Circus Parade" and "Quiet River." They were both nearly perfect. He has only been playing a few months and is really doing well. He is working on "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones" for fun. We love his teacher, Becky- she is so good with her students and really wants them to succeed. It's been really fun because he has 4 of his best friends taking lessons with him. Good job Tyler!

Love Birds!
I'm so excited, I couldn't resist sharing these great pictures of the Love Birds in our family.
The top one is of my brother, Bremen and his girlfriend Suzanne. We're so glad she's spending time here in Utah. And my boys LOVE her...
This one below is of Adrianne (my baby sister) with her recently returned missionary JED!
They are finally getting to spend time together after 2 long years.
After hitting my 10-year anniversary this August and having no other siblings married, naturally, I'm thrilled about these crazy Love Birds. Will keep you posted!

Kansas City is finally getting a Temple!!!
Updated with the correct info--
I was so excited to hear the announcement this weekend that the greater Kansas City area is getting a temple at last! When I first turned 12, we had to travel all the way to Chicago to visit the temple. Then, in high school they built the beautiful St. Louis temple (pictured above) It is a beautiful and special temple but still 3 hours away. Now, my family and friends back in Missouri will have a very near temple in Clay County, very near to my Mom's farm! I can't wait to see it finished! I'm so happy for the Saints in Kansas City who have waited so long for a near temple.
Visit the temple often. The blessings are immeasurable!

Trevan is 3 !!!!
We just celebrated Trevan's 3rd birthday! I can't believe our little guy is growing up so fast!
He has been so excited for his birthday for months! All summer he would tell everyone, "My birt-day coming up!" He had a small family party with lots of fun presents and cake and silly string and balloons! He loved being the center of attention!

10 Years Ago Today....
The most meaningful day of our life. 10 years ago today, August 21st, 1998, we were married and sealed for eternity.
We've had such a journey these past 10 years. I would have never been able to predict the ups and downs we've experienced. It's amazing how we've grown closer through our many trials. We feel abundantly blessed. We have so much to be grateful for, especially the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Resurrection, the knowledge of God's Plan, and the blessings of forever families.

FUN in the SUN!
We had such a blast in Idaho Falls over the weekend. We were at a family reunion and got to spend a day at Black Tail Lake. The boys had so much fun playing in the water. Cameron was our most courageous, jumping right on the banana and 3-Man racer. Tyler was a little more nervous but tried it anyway. He had fun playing on the inflatables and skipping rocks. Trevan even rode the banana!
The 3-Man racer was something we've never done! It was fun especially at higher speeds. It definitely was a rush!
Michael was awesome on the wake-board. He hasn't been on one in years and got right up, doing 360s and flying through the air! What an Idaho STUD!

Missouri Memories
BYU boys making memories in Missouri! We had a great time in Excelsior Springs and Blue Springs, Missouri. The shot above was on a beautiful nature hike. I can't get over how much more lush and green and beautiful it is there. (I sure miss those fireflies!!!)
Grandma Rosie has a beautiful piece of land, so lush and green with a pond, barn, horses, chickens and a llama! The boys had a great time riding "Carmelita" They are naturals and got right on and loved it!

Can I just turn 29 for the rest of my birthdays?
Well, the day has come and gone and I am now 29! It's a little strange to be approaching 30. It always seemed so old but now I realize it's just the prime of life! My birthday was nice. It was a beautiful Sunday. I got to spend it with my darling boys and husband and Maggie and Bremen. They surprised me with a Dairy Queen ice cream cake(my favorite) and a MP3 Player. I'm excited to have my favorite music in the palm of my hand.
I'm looking forward to a great year. I hope to keep in touch with all of you, my amazing friends.

Cameron, the Graduate of 2008
Congratulations to our little Cameron. A couple of weeks ago, he graduated from "A Place to Grow" Preschool. He loved it so much and is now graduated and ready for kindergarten this fall. He doesn't understand he has to wait all Summer. He keeps asking when he gets to go to the big school with Tyler. He's so excited. He had a great year with Miss Tanya and is reading and writing so well. Thanks Miss Tanya for a great Preschool year!!!

CONGRATULATIONS DAVID COOK!
Feeling a little surprised and excited at the same time, I'm thrilled David Cook won American Idol! I'm proud to say David Cook is from my home town and even my own high school! Go Blue Springs South Jaguars! I'm still in love with David Archuleta and can't wait to buy his CD. I think both Davids did a great job and have a great future!

Safe in the Arms of Jesus
Dear Friends,
It's been over a week since we laid Spencer's body in it's resting place. We think of him constantly and miss him.
My heart is so full- full of gratitude for the Gospel, to know where we were before we came to earth and where we will return after death, what the Spirits of our loved ones are doing and how much a part of our lives they really are. I'm so grateful for the time we had with Spencer, he became the center of our family as we felt him kick and included him in our family cheer and talked about him and taught our children of life after death. They speak of him often, even Trevan, and they love him. We're so grateful for the sweet "Bereavement Lady", Melanie, who made hand molds of Spencer's and ours together, and for the dozens of pictures she took and how she cherished our son, and gave us such cherished keepsakes. I'm so grateful for my wonderful new doctor, for his patience and faith that I could deliver naturally, and for the amazing 4 nurses who took care of me. Michael and I have been so overwhelmed with the love we've felt from each of you who read this and the many who won't read this. We deeply appreciate all the love and kindness, even the small things, like a little comment on my blog, or an email or a card. We feel so richly blessed to have such dear friends and wonderful family.
Please know that we are doing well. I'm amazed how this experience has enriched my life. In contrast to losing Chambry, this time, we were prepared and we treasured our time with Spencer and it has been sad but a little easier and has truly been life changing in a wonderful way.
Thanks, if you're still reading this, I have two special things to share.
I've always loved the rain and rainstorms and even thunderstorms, even though most people do not. And these two quotes give even more meaning to rainstorms, for me...
1. From my Mother-in-law Vickie "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...It's learning to dance in the rain."
2. From Sharon Larsen in the book, "All Rain, No Mud,"If there is no rain, there is no growth."
I just want to express how grateful I am for the "rain" in my life, because it helps me grow and God wants us to grow and stretch and learn to be like him. I hope we can all learn to dance in the rain.
Much Love,
Jordan
