DecoArt Butterfly Canvas


Apply Media Crackle Paste through stencils onto a canvas base
 Embellish with paper clay butterflies

 Apply Media Fluid Cobalt Teal Hue, Magenta and Dioxadine Purple

 Blend the shades together 

Wipe back the paint a little from the butterflies and also lift and blend the colour in the background

Highlight with Metallic Gold

Appy a wash of Quinacridone gold, some area apply neat

DecoArt Coastal Tag



Adhere the house embellishments and the apply a coat of Crackle Paint to an MDF Tag
Apply Crackle Paste with a palette knife to form the landscape and clouds



I spritzed the tag with water and applied small amounts of the following DecoArt Media Fluid Acyrlics colours, spritzing and allowing to blend and flow
Prussian Blue
Cobalt Teal Hue
Green Gold
Yellow Oxide
Burnt Umber


Prussian blue was applied and spritzed bleeding downwards, wiping back on the texture clouds


The houses in the foreground were lifted with a little dry brushing of Titanium White


Stampotique Challenge - Tag It

I created a layered tag with three sizes of tags, the largest was textured with modelling paste applied randomly with a palette knife
The middle tag had tissue paper applied and the smallest had modelling paste with a stencil

Once dry I used the following Distress Spray Stains
Milled Lavender, Seedless Preserve
Chipped Sapphire, Bundled Sage, Peacock Feathers, Brushed Pewter to colour the tags and stamped with Black Stazon and coloured with Watercolour Pens Zig Kuretake pens

Stampendous- DecoArt

Stampendous, Andy Skinner, DecoArt Blog Hop!

Here's my project using the fabulous Stampendous Stamps and DecoArt Media Products

Apply Crackle paste to a Book box this one is a fabulous size from That Craft Place

 Stamp the images with Stazon Black Ink

Apply a wash of Quinacridone Orange in the centre

 Heavier around the outer edges


Apply Dioxadine Purple around the edges blending in
then stamp the scrolls in black and over stamp with Metallic Gold

Apply White Gesso around the edge of the box,

Stamp the texture form the Dress form onto the Gesso

Apply a wash of Quinacridone Gold, with carbon Black around the edges

Finished with a black ribbon and decorative Hearts to fasten

Two exciting Stampotique announcements a new challenge and new stamps!

I used Elaina one of the new releases isn't she fabulous, you can check her out all of the others here 
Over the next few days the design team will be posting lots of Artwork using the newbies

For my canvas I layered Ribbon and Lace onto a canvas, and painted black
Once dry I worked Titan Buff from the top down and highlighted with Titanium White
The images were coloured with Promarkers and Spectrum Noir
