some updates

its been a while since i last did an update....i noe i havent been updating regularly becauses im lazy to update most of the time.

it has been snowing lately....had quite some heavy snowfall in the uk....up to 2-3 feet thick in most areas.the snow was just so heavy and thick that i build a snowman that lasted for 2 weeks even after all the snow melted=)

so here are some of the things i haven been doing lately.....

I celebrated my 20th birthday....i feel like an ah pek now and most of my friends in college calls me that.So my new name is ah pek hao lian.....yes don't laugh.i may be older than them but i get bullied instead.

Got a razer copperhead mouse as my birthday present from my friends....such a nice gift...something that i always wanted =) what good friends I have =)

The long awaited F.E.A.R 2 is finally out....manage to get a copy of the game and spend a hell of a time trying to crack the bloody game due to the irritating steam software.Game developers are getting smarter these days.

Spend 4 days playing the game. The graphics are excellent and the game environment is spectacular (not to mention the game file is a whopping 12gb big) but the story line is quite of a disappointment especially the ending.the 1st ending left u feeling what the f*** while the 2nd ending left u feeling what the c****

im now trying out dawn of war 2....played it a while and didn't really like the game though.relic cut down loads of races in the new dawn of war.i felt that the space marines are way over powered and too inbar (in balance) so now im waiting for empire total war...cant wait for it though.im planning my new tactics for the game and hope to try them out next week=)

while the rest of the time im training on stracraft.i've joined my college starcraft team.yes....kinda shocking huh.didn't expect to do so...but anyway i wont be playing solo but 2 v 2 games or 3 v 3 games.i dont like to play solo even though i can.i used to play starcraft and hope to tech up and build a fleet of battlecruiser but now the games i play rarely last more than 30mins.everyone goes for early game rushes and the fastest rush i've seen is zergling rush in 2minutes and by the 3rd minute you could be dead.so thats how intense the 1st 5 minutes are.lots of micro gameplay.but we'll see how.

looks like i'll be going to study in london next year.i've been accepted to imperial college and ucl in london.both are not bad universities though both ranked 6 and 7 in the world respectively.got pooled for cambridge but missed out on it.it was a 1 in 4 chance of getting a place there...the quality of applicants were just too good most of them were scoring 95 and above on average compared to my 90 average scores but oh well,i did had a great experience though going for interviews in cambridge.its really a nice play to study.had a couple of friends going to cambs....so looks like i'll be going back to cambs to pay them a visit sometime.

well i guess i'd better say this in my stagnant blog and hopefully somebody will read it and so saving myself having to answer the question ''bila u balik'' again.

i wouldn't becoming home as i have previously intended....i was supposed to be back home on the 6th of december but due to some unforeseen circumstances i will now becoming home on the 14th of december.looks like my christmas holidays will now be cut short to little more than 4 weeks.

got a whole load of interviews to tackle...if things goes well i should be in imperial college or ucl next year.fingers crossed.

Winds of change

There seems to be a new wave of political storms in Malaysia.ISA, Anwar,Home minister, new goverment.I'm certainly outdated and have no idea what is going on.There are talks about a new May 13th happening again back at home in the overseas community.I hope that all those I know who are back home will be safe and sound.Take care.

Ferringhi Grill

Last Sunday I went to Ferringhi Grill for dinner with my parents as it was my last Sunday at home and sort of a "good bye" before I leave to Ulu Klang for another 3 months :)

This was the starter...I have no idea what it was but its something like a meat tartare with some nuts in it.After that I ordered my favourite tomato soup and its a house specialty and its a must try too.
The other thing I like about the tomato soup is that they will specially cook the soup in front of you as if its a show or form of entertainment ( must thank the French for that brilliant idea ) because thats what fine dining is about, it all about entertainment.

That a pure tomato pure frozen into the shape of a tomato with some cream and chopped parsley for decorations.

First they heat up the pan, add a few drops of olive oil, add in some garlic and season it with mushrooms.Add a little bit of alcohol and flambe the ingredients to seal in their flavour before adding the pure into the pan and heat it under slow fire.

And there you go a tomato soup.....

For the main course I ordered Chateaubriand steak. Its actually a thick piece of tenderloin that is cut to roughly 500g and its big enough for 2 people to share ( even though I personally can finish all 500g of it xD )

That is my steak being cut up before being served...again this is done beside the table for entertainment purposes.

I like my steak to be done medium because I like my steak to be pink inside and see a little bit of blood oozing out from the meat as I cut it :)

Thats me with my emo hair ( cut my hair short like school boy the next day as I was going back for another 3months ) enjoying my steak as dad took the picture without me noticing.

Apart from the chauteubraind, the other type of steak that I like from Ferringhi Grill is the King's cut.The kings cut is a specially grilled 350g of rib eye steak and its served with Yorkshire pudding, red wine and mushroom sauce with English mustard. Its a typical English dish and the locals use to joke that that piece of steak is only fit for a king to eat.

My bro was feeling ambitious that night and decided to give the king's cut a try...but in the end it was too much for him and I had to finish it up for him.

You made my day

My fren recently had a huge crush on this girl and he was telling me and another fren of mine from college about how much he liked that girl. So me feeling a bit cheeky decided to put my fren's fate to the test but using Dr Love's-Love Calculator ( i know its mou liu ) The Guru Pitka was busy then...so had to find Dr Love

This was his result ;)
