This weekend we put new linolium in our kitchen. We didn't know what we were doing, but it actually turned out okay. Anything would have been an improvement to the old color that we replaced.

Jon did such a good job at laying down the linolium. By the way, this is not how it looked when we were done.

I put Hunter down for a nap the other day and when I went in his room to check on him, he looked like this. He got ahold of the baby lotion and smeared it all over his bed, his book, and his hair. I actually think his hair looks pretty good.

Jaina got these new PJ's from her Auntie Jen. I love her cap!

Today I decided to pull out the kids Christmas toys to wrap them up. They had fun playing with some of them. I'm sure they'll be just as excited playing with them on Christmas as they were today!

Today we went outside to play in the snow. Hunter didn't like touching the snow or walking on it, but we still had fun! Afterwards, we went inside and had a nice, hot cup of cocoa (the best thing to drink with the cold weather!)

Hunter and his cousins

Hunter's cousin's, Gracie, Tyler and Chase, came over today and they had so much fun playing outside, drinking hot cocoa and making this cool "horse" out of blocks.

Putting up the Christmas tree

Jon looks like he knows what he's doing.

Hunter has recently become glued to the TV. I got a Thomas the train movie from the library and he wants to watch it non stop. (I don't get what is so fascinating about a little train.)I decided to give him these blocks, that were a Christmas present, just to get his mind off that annoying train movie.

Hunter discovered that he can have all sorts of fun inside a drawer.

Locked out

So the funniest thing happened this week. Hunter has an obsession with shutting doors, he can't leave the hallway until all the bedroom doors are closed...yeah, it's wierd! I was going out into the garage earlier last week to put a box away and all of a sudden the door shuts behind me. Of course it had to be locked and Jon wasn't home, so I knocked on the door patiently to have Hunter open it. I don't know what I was hoping for because he doesn't know how to open doors. Well we didn't have a spare key hidden outside so I ran next door to the neighbors to use their phone to call Jon. I was crying and all upset because my two babies were locked in the house all by themselves, but my neighbors were great to comfort me. I dialed Jon's phone, but he wasn't answering, ahhh! Of course I forgot that I could just climb through a window.(It would have been very awkward to watch me hop up throught the window and slide into the front room.) I felt like such a horrible mom. I was crying and Hunter came up to me and gave me a hug. I don't know why I was crying over being locked out for only 10 minutes. The funniest thing about this story is that only a few days after that, Hunter did the same thing to Jon and I wasn't home and of course I forgot to put a spare key out and I had locked all the windows and didn't have my phone with me. Luckily, I came home only 10 minutes after that. Well now we have a spare key hidden and we are trying to teach Hunter not to be so obsessive about shutting doors.

Here is daddy and Hunter up at Cecret Lake. It was so beautiful up there. At the end of the hike was this big lake. Hunter loved it up there!
Jon and I love going on hikes. It is quite the workout carrying those kids around with us, but we have a fun time. Jaina was asleep through this entire hike.
Jon and his dad and brother in the Uintas this past summer. What a bunch of good looking guys!
This past summer, Jon went up to the Uintas with his dad and brothers. Great catch sweetie!

Hunter loves to wear these stylin' sunglasses and he also loves to push his sister in the stroller. Jaina is obviously having a good time.

A summer day outside

Hunter loves his new sister, Jaina. He thinks she is a fun new toy. He is very protective over her and growls at little kids when they come around her.
