yesterday was the scheduled children's thanksgiving services for the church's
upcoming 94th anniversary (july 27). as a sunday school teacher, this occasion is one of the most awaited, if not the most favorite, among us. it is when we are tasked to teach to different INC locales in the district where we belong. fortunately, the district (province) of Rizal has a lot of beautiful sight (nature) to offer. i just hope the DENR offices do their jobs in preserving not only the natural wealth of Rizal but of the whole country. anyway, i was sent to the locale of Binangonan for this occasion. i was awed at the sight of the locale's chapel. it was my first time there and wow! didn't expect i'd be seeing such a great edifice! i remembered the chapel in the locale of Baguio. they're both elevated from the main road that it gives a perfect view for it's gothic-inspired building design. lesson taught to the children outlines the greatness of God's help to the church--- from its humble beginnings some 94 years ago up to its continued growth to date. what seems to be a mystery for people about this fast & phenomenal growth of the church can only be credited to the love of God and His fulfillment to His promises for the messenger and for the church. one can undeniably witness to the progress that the church has achieved despite of it being persecuted since it started in the Philippines. now that the church has reached the six continents of the world, we, the members, can't help but acknowledge God's love to His nation. hence, the anniversary thanksgiving services. it is always our joy to take part in these wonderful occasions where we can show our gratitude to our Creator.
